Cookie explains to Muko the concept of the Face and the Heel.

After the disastrous fight with Kalita, Cookie takes it upon herself to lecture Muko about taking better care of her body. As the night goes on, Cookie shares her old dreams and her reason for being a manager with Muko.

  • Bad Liar: Cookie's "Oh, Crap!" Smile at the end of the chapter when she reassures Muko that she and Nyarai will get along. Justified as the situation is that bad and she's trying to reassure herself as well.
  • Blatant Lies: Cookie's last line is a promise that she and Nyarai will get along fine. However, her "Oh, Crap!" Smile implies that she knows that they will have a rocky start and that she's lying to Muko and herself to keep themselves in high spirits.
  • Call-Back: Cookie gets another hug from Muko, protesting that she doesn't like being lifted. She's not as angry as the first time, showing her growing bond with her Combagal.
  • Chairman of the Brawl: Scalitor hits Donkizari with a chair during their fight.
  • Character Focus: As implied by the Part 2 page that comes as the prologue of the chapter, Nyarai will be the protagonist of Part 2 to make up for only having one chapter's worth of focus in Part 1.
  • Childish Tooth Gap: Cookie had one when she was a kid.
  • Contortionist: Thanks to her yoga and flexible body, Nyarai can do some poses like bridge (standing on all four with her hands and feet facing in opposite directions to stretch her core muscles) or touch her head with her feet. She can even do lightning-fast kick techniques like a handstand kick that leaves a dent in a locker, or a windmill kick to stomp Cookie to the ground.
  • Dope Slap: Cookie gives Muko a flying kick to the head after a stupid comment.
  • Dream-Crushing Handicap: Even as a child, Cookie knew that she couldn't become a Combagal because she wasn't going to be tall enough to fight.
  • Drugs Are Bad: Cookie tells Muko to get rid of the painkillers she was prescribed, to avoid developing an addiction.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Nyarai uses Misfortune Cookie maliciously when addressing the squirrel's poor track record.
  • Fantastic Racism: According to Cookie, Nyarai can't change agencies because of this so they're stuck with each other. However, Nyarai misunderstands what she meant as Cookie playing the "Wild Card" on her, so she assaults the squirrel, giving her a "The Reason You Suck" Speech and a threat to change agencies and fight Cookie's Combagal if she doesn't fulfill her promise.
  • Foreshadowing: Cookie's lecture about painkillers turns out to be accurate as Freydar, her best Combagal, ruined her career because of a painkiller overdose that Cookie could have prevented.
  • The Glomp: Muko once again hugs Cookie after she's moved to tears by her backstory and reasons for being a furry fighter manager.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Nyarai gets pissed at Cookie a lot in this chapter. She gets annoyed at Cookie's office being a janitor's closet in the back of a soapland, she kicks a dent in a locker because Cookie asks for respect, and then kicks and stomps Cookie to the ground because Cookie pressed her Berserk Button by accident.
  • Hates Being Touched: As with the previous hug, Cookie protests because Muko squeezed her a bit hard, but she doesn't mind as much thanks to the new bond she's starting to make with Muko.
  • Heel: Cookie explains the term by using Scalitor as an example.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Even as an adult, Cookie still adores Donkizari, getting annoyed when Muko insults her body.
  • Hidden Depths: Nyarai practices yoga, or something resembling it, which is ironic as the activity is meant for relaxation and enlightenment when compared to Nyarai's Hair-Trigger Temper and Ax-Crazy tendencies.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Cookie ends up offending Nyarai by pointing out that her quitting Cookie's agency would backfire on her since not many agencies are open to Wild Combagals. While she meant it as a fact, Nyarai got violent at the squirrel for playing the Wild Card on her.
  • In the Hood: Scalitor has a hood as part of her outfit.
  • Intimidation Demonstration: Nyarai does a handstand kick close to Cookie's face, leaving a dent on the locker door behind her. She switches to actual intimidation after Cookie accidentally presses her Berserk Button while trying to argue with her.
  • Irony: Nyarai does yoga, which is an activity known for relaxation, enlightenment, and inner peace. The irony comes in how the cheetah has a Hair-Trigger Temper in her scene with Cookie, shows materialistic desires for money and attention, and is Ax-Crazy in her willingness to use violence at the slightest insult.
  • I Take Offense to That Last One: Cookie has been stomped to the floor by Nyarai and given a "The Reason You Suck" Speech that calls out her flaws as a manager. She's only offended at the part where Nyarai calls her a midget, saying her Catchphrase while afraid of the cheetah crushing her head underfoot.
  • It's All About Me: Nyarai shows this attitude by refusing to help Cookie with a loan, being very demanding with her choice of partner, and even refusing to let her partner overshadow her.
  • King of Beasts: Fittingly for the Continental Champion, Donkizari is a maned lioness.
  • Literal-Minded: Muko believes that Donkizari has a big face when Cookie explains the Face concept in wrestling, forcing the squirrel to clarify.
  • Living Legend: Donkizari has been a champion since Cookie was a child. She's even referred to as a legendary lioness in her box.
  • Ms. Exposition: Cookie explains the purpose of the Face and the Heel to Muko. She also explains a bit about the rivalry of Donkizari and Scalitor, and tells Muko of her past.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: Scalitor is an alligator and the strongest Heel so far in the series thanks to her ability to fight evenly against Donkizari.
  • "Oh, Crap!" Smile: Cookie ends the chapter by giving a nervous smile at Muko, telling her that she'll love Nyarai and that Nyarai will love her. Considering that Nyarai promised to leave Cookie and personally fight Muko if she wasn't satisfied with her choice, her nervousness is very justified.
  • Pet the Dog: Despite Muko getting herself hurt and putting her in bigger debt by having to pay for repairs at Cafe Carrots, Cookie still buys her a Donkizari action figure and shares her life story with her.
  • The Promise: Cookie promised Nyarai that she was going to find her a furry fighting tag partner. That being said, Nyarai has high standards, demanding that her partner be a professional. During her threat, she says that, if Cookie doesn't give her a satisfying partner, she will change agencies and fight Cookie's client herself.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Nyarai points out how Cookie's full of empty promises and how she doesn't have a single champion to her name.
  • Red Baron: Cookie refers to Donkizari as "Thousand Heart" when showing the action figure to Muko. This implies that Combagals with great success earn nicknames that suit their talents.
  • The Scrooge: According to Cookie, Nyarai is a bigger cheapskate than her. For reference, Cookie is poor and therefore justified while Nyarai does make a living as a hostess.
  • Snake People: Sephario, one of the rivals of Donkizari, looks like a naga.
  • Tender Tears: Muko weeps when Cookie tells her backstory and dream about helping her Combagals achieve their dreams. She gives her a hug and a spin for her gift.
  • Tough Love: Cookie calls out Muko for her fight against Kalita back in Cafe Carrots. She also forbids her from taking painkillers to prevent her from developing an addiction. After ensuring Muko learned her lesson, she gives her the Donkizari doll.
  • Tragic Dream: Cookie wanted to be a Combagal as a child, but she knew that her short height wasn't going to help her become a Combagal. This is why she became a manager... as she wants to help Combagals achieve their dreams.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Cookie mentally chastises herself for allowing Muko to fight Kalita. She then scolds Muko for fighting Kalita for taking her injuries lightly.
  • World's Strongest Woman: This chapter introduces Donkizari, the Continental Champion who held the title since Cookie was a kid.
