James E. Freeman (February 2, 1946 – August 9, 2014) was an American actor and poet. He was best known for Miller's Crossing, Alien: Resurrection, and Go.
Freeman was gay, which fact ended his stint in the United States Marine Corps in the 1960s. He was also one of the first actors to continue working while openly HIV positive. He died from complications of AIDS at the age of 68.
