Egidijus Valavičius

"Valavicius had something of a back-and-forth run in RINGS—to the point that after his first fight, he went four years without winning or losing two fights in a row. He'd beat a fighter, look impressive, then get outworked by Andrei Kopylov, or outgrappled by Chris Haseman, or submitted by some dude named Fedor."

Kęstutis Smirnovas

"Smirnovas was an incredibly tough, talented fighter. In fourteen years of competition he went 24-8-1, and 18 of those wins came by stoppage. He deserved better from the sport, but unfortunately a lot of people did. On the plus side, he and Wanderlei Silva are the only people who can say they knocked Sakuraba out three times, and Smirnovas gets to say he did it in three minutes."
