Zordon Before Being Trapped in Time Warp

Formerly a protector of the peace and godfather to Rita Repulsa. His body was destroyed and he was saved by Alpha 5 on Earth, and would later serve as mentor to the Power Rangers.

  • Alien Non-Interference Clause: Brought up when Jason learns that his father is ill and asks if Zordon can do anything to help. Zordon affirms that he would like to help spare Jason the pain of the death of a loved one, but part of his role as Earth's guardian is that it must develop naturally, explicitly observing "Knowledge earned is knowledge respected", whereas humanity may abuse such advances if he just gave them everything he had.
  • Defends Against Their Own Kind: Zordon ultimately declares that Earth is his home rather than Eltar, defending the planet against Zartus and helping the Rangers locate a new Command Centre (albeit choosing one from a planet that doesn't need it).
  • Enemy Mine: During the Eltarian invasion of Earth, Zordon fights Zartus alongside Zedd.
  • Expy: He seems to have similarities to modern interpretations of Professor X. Both are mentors who have been highly regarded by their young recruits for a long time but both have also recently had dark secrets revealed about them causing Broken Pedestal.
  • My Greatest Failure: He kept the 1969 team a secret from the current team because he is ashamed of what happened as a result of his actions.
  • Mythology Gag: Subtle, but it's there. Pre-time warp Zordon is shown to have a white-and-gold mantle, the main color scheme of his primary Sentai counterpart Mysterious Sage Barza, footage of whom was used to represent his pre-time warp self in viewing globe footage in the show. Furthermore, the mantle covers his right side, much like Barza's own mantle.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Mighty Morphin (2020) reveals that he was very close with his fellow Eltarians and colleagues within Guardians of Eltar, Zartus and Zophram long before the former allied himself with the Empyreals and became a genocidal dictator, and the latter touched the Zeo Crystal and became Lord Zedd.
  • The World Is Just Awesome: After Zordon's temporary robot suit is revealed to be dangerous to his long-term health after the final battle with Zartus, he accepts being transferred back into his tube only if he can take one last look at the world.

    Alpha 5

Alpha 5

The fifth incarnation of Alpha, Zordon's assistant.
  • Adaptational Badass: Despite his bravery, Alpha was ill-suited for close combat in the TV series. In the Justice League/Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers crossover however, he takes one of Zedd's growth bombs to make himself as tall as the Megazord and puts up an impressive fight against one of the monsters Zedd and Brainiac 5 unleashed, having the upper hand throughout the battle until Megazord takes over.
  • Mission Control: A given but he takes over and shares this role with Jason when Zordon is unavailable for a stretch of time due to Lord Drakkon's interference.

    Alpha 1

Alpha 1

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alpha_1.jpeg
The very first Alpha model robot. Is introduced when Jason and Trini get teleported off-world and is discovered to be the one who was covering up their disappearance at school and the Juice Bar.

For more on him, see Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (Boom! Studios): Villains

    Saba

Saba

The sentient sword Tommy uses as the White Ranger.
  • The Chooser of the One: He's the guardian of the White Ranger power, and determines who is worthy enough to properly wield it. He's not convinced Tommy is the right choice.
  • Eye Beams: Shoots reds ones, powerful enough to burn through metal.
  • Talking Weapon: A sentient saber.

    The Emissaries
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4ea4d6d2_0804_40e3_b1c7_b18460d24d1c.jpeg
Three mysterious entities that represent the morphin grid.
  • Back from the Dead: They're returned to life when the corresponding Empyreal is killed.
  • Big Good: The Blue Emissary is this to the Omega Rangers.
  • The Gods Must Be Lazy: They refuse to help Zordon with the rising threat of Drakkon when he requests their aid. They come to regret it!
  • Loss of Identity: The long time they've been emissaries means they seem to have lost much of their personalities from when they were people.
  • Mentor Occupational Hazard: The Blue Emissary gets killed by Kiya when she turns traitor. The Red Emissary is killed by the first Empyreal, and the Yellow is torn in half by them.
  • Primary-Color Champion: They have no set form but their respective colors which are red, blue, and yellow, the most prominent three colors used in Power Rangers series. note  Otherwise they shift between different forms of Rangers of their color.
  • Samus Is a Girl: When they had their own physical form, the Red and Blue Emissaries were girls, but on becoming emissaries they lost their own physical form.
  • Taken for Granite: As the Blue and Red Emissary show, they turn to stone when one dies.
  • Underestimating Badassery: They dismiss Zordon's worries about Drakkon, since he's just a mortal human, and were willing to sit back let things play out until Drakkon forced his way into their dimension and defeated them.
  • Unfinished Business: Zig-Zagged Trope. Power Rangers #10 has the late Blue Emissary believe that she can't pass on until they correct their mistake by giving Yale Kiya's Omega Morpher. It's later revealed to be not the case, allowing them to help Billy restore Zordon, and is ultimately revived by the Rangers killing his Empyreal. They later leave to find the Morphin' Masters to ask them about his situation.
  • Was Once a Man: A long time ago, they were a group of teenagers, until they ascended to become the Emissaries to thwart Dark Spectre.
  • You Cannot Fight Fate: When Kiya talks to the Blue Emissary about Tommy being the White Ranger, she already knew that she would fail to convince Kiya that Tommy wasn't a threat but still tries anyway, and even predicts Kiya's betrayal seconds before it happens.

    Doctor K

Teen Genius and Mentor to the RPM Rangers of Corinth

  • The Atoner: Just like in the show she's trying her best to make up for her creation of Venjix.
  • The Smart Girl: Possibly even tops Billy. Not only is she a Teen Genius, but she figures out how to counteract Drakkon's depowering cannons.
  • Your Approval Fills Me with Shame: When Drakkon confronts her on her birthday to tell her how much he admires her for her creation of Venjix (the Big Bad of Power Rangers RPM who killed over 99% of humanity) she is brought to tears and destroys him. Too bad it was just a remote robot doppelganger.

Angel Grove High

    Bulk

Farkas Bulkmier

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bc100981_39e6_4f54_8a4a_ae2d37351b89.jpeg
A delinquent boy who goes to Angel Grove High. He and Skull are big fans of the Rangers, even having a YouTube channel called Ranger Station.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: He’s much more friendly than he was in the first season of the original series which lines up time wise with the Comic Book. The worst he gets is throwing water balloons at Billy in Go Go, which is presented as genuine bullying. Past that, he's much friendlier with the main cast than he originally was.
  • Big Fun: While he has slight jerky qualities, he more resembles the love able goofball he was in later series than the Fat Bastard he was in the first season.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: As always, with Skull.
  • Loves My Alter Ego: Big fan of the Power Rangers, even starting Ranger Station with Skull.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Main universe Bulk briefly becomes a Purple Ranger with the empowered spare change. He even gets a Zord.

    Skull

Eugene Skullovich

  • Chivalrous Pervert: Tries hard not to be the second part with his date with Kimberly even refusing to kiss her cause he realize she was beating herself up with what happened with her ex.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Bulk.
  • We Used to Be Friends: It's revealed that he and Billy were good friends when they were younger. It's implied that Skull resented Billy as he grew up to be a genius in school. It's also implied that Billy may on some level look down on Skull's delinquent status.

Aliens

    Lady Fienna

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1d8ca4f6_1228_4ee2_bb10_c470a1326a28.jpeg
Rita Repulsa's mother and a friend of Zordon's from long ago.
  • Call-Forward: Her appearance looks a lot like Rita's Mystic Mother persona and may have been a deliberate choice on Rita's part in the wake of her purification at the end of In Space.
  • Memento MacGuffin: The Dragon Shield once belonged to her.
  • Mystical White Hair: Same as Rita's.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Her soul is absorbed into the Green Power Coin in the conclusion of Forever Rangers.
  • Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: You might be wondering how and why someone like her had a child with Master Vile... he used to look more human, before he was corrupted by Dark Spectre.

    Remi

Ellarian's Only Friend and ally before Promethea enters the Void.

  • 11th-Hour Ranger: More like 13th! She becomes the Orange Solar Ranger once the final battle is done and the Preator has been defeated.
