Dorm Members

    Yuu Inuzuka
A student who used to be the consultation livestreamer, Kuroshiba.
  • Accidental Pervert: He accidentally performs a Wall Pin of Love on Yuzuko in an attempt to hide her from a crowd of fans.
  • Bad Liar: He's not that good at covering up his background as a streamer. When he almost slips and states he was a livestreamer, he tries to claim he went to the dentist a lot instead, though it's possible that the cover story worked better in Japanese and didn't translate well to English.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome:
    • When Hakua screams during a livestream, he immediately rushes to her room in case she's in danger. Then it turns out she was acting in-character as Usagidon.
    • Yuzuko finds Hakua's maid costume in the laundry room. In order to protect Hakua's identity, Yuu lies and claims that the costume belongs to him and that he secretly collects costumes, even if it means getting blackmailed.
    • In order to encourage Sora to meet Honeybear in real life, he once again claims he collects female cosplay outfits.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Downplayed because he doesn't go crazy, but he does get jealous after seeing Hakua and Vina eating fast food together.
  • Face of a Thug: When he tries to smile, he looks like a scary delinquent. Those who get to know him describe him as too generous for his own good.
  • Gentle Giant: He's the tallest member of the dorm and goes out of his way to help the other members with their problems.
  • My Greatest Failure: Flashback images show that something went horribly wrong during his livestreaming career, causing him to retire. Chapter 74 reveals he convinced a shut-in to go to school, but they couldn't fit in despite his advice.
  • Turn the Other Cheek: He doesn't hold grudges when other people wrong him and will even go as far as to help them with their own problems.
    • He saves Yuzuko from a stalker, despite how she blackmailed him earlier into becoming her slave.
    • After Souta reveals that he was using a fishing scheme to "expose" Yuu, the former runs into his abusive dad, who tries to extort him. Yuu steps in and calls out Souta's father for denigrating his own son.

    Hakua Arisugawa
An honor student who is secretly Usagidon, a trigger-happy FPS livestreamer.
  • A-Cup Angst: When Yuzuko secretly takes pride in being more stacked than Hakua, the latter somehow senses this and feels an inexplicable urge to kill something. She also expresses jealousy towards Sora's breasts.
  • Ascended Fan: She was a fan of another livestreamer, who inspired her to start her own stream.
  • Education Papa: Her family expects her to become headmaster of the school and they consider her gaming and streaming problematic for that goal.
  • Gamer Chick: She's a livestreamer who specializes in playing battle royale first-person shooters.
  • Instant Expert: She beats Yuu at an arcade shooting game that she never played before due to her skill as a FPS player.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: She plays the role of Usagidon, a bloodthirsty battle royale player. In public, she's a kind and graceful honor student. Played with in that while she is a genuine Nice Girl, she states that she can be herself as Usagidon.
  • Nice Girl: She's very supportive towards Yuu's goal of improving his social life and wants the dorm to become like a family.
  • Tsundere: She's sweet by default, but acts harsher towards Yuu when she thinks he's going to reveal her secret. Once she knows she can trust him as a partner-in-crime, she goes back to being nice, but occasionally shows her angry side if she thinks he's spending too much time with other girls.

    Yuzuko Jimi
A student who is secretly Puchineko, a moe catgirl who chats with her livestream viewers.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Yuu steps in to protect her from a stalker, but get knocked down. Yuzuko then lambasts the stalker for his selfish and creepy behavior, causing the stalker to run away. However, she still appreciates the gesture enough to consider Yuu a friend.
  • Stalker with a Crush: One of her fans turned into a stalker who somehow got information about her daily habits and visited locations. She has Yuu stay close to her in an attempt to scare the stalker away.
  • Tsundere: She's harsh by default and doesn't hesitate to make Yuu perform menial tasks as her "dog," but she warms up to him after he helps her deal with her stalker.
  • Unknown Rival: She's jealous of Usagidon's popularity as a livestreamer and later becomes aware that Hakua is Usagidon, though Usagidon doesn't seem to be aware of this.

    Sora Takane
The girl behind the virtual idol, Sweet Macaron.
  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Her classmates told her she was more suited to being cool and mysterious than cute, making her hide her love of cuteness and appear as a dashing prince-like girl in public.
  • Boyfriend Bluff: She offers to be Yuu's fake girlfriend in order to help him escape the attention of Souko Saotome, aka Souta.
  • Commonality Connection: She considers Yuu a comrade because both have trouble expressing their feelings.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Even before Yuu caught her watching and singing along with an idol show, he notes that she always became excited when looking at idol media or Hakua's dresses.
  • Edible Theme Naming: Unlike everyone else's animal-themed handles, her handle is a confection.
  • Motion Capture: In-universe, she wears a motion capture suit in order to make her virtual character, Macaron, match her movements.
  • Motor Mouth: She's normally stoic, but becomes very talkative when discussing idols.
  • Nice Girl: When Yuu discovers her secret, she quickly opens up to him and trusts him enough to be her manager.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She has the short-haired tomboy look and is athletic, but is secretly the virtual idol, Macaron.

    Souta Saotome
A student who streams himself crossdressing as Bat.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Downplayed. He seems nice in public, but in his private thoughts aren't as pleasant, as shown when he takes amusement in seeing Yuu keep the others' secrets, sets up a Honey Trap for old men on his livestream in order to troll them, and secretly considers Vina's tattoo lame. However, he has yet to do anything malicious to his dormmates other than grilling them on their relationships or subtly implying he knows of their online activities. Played straight when he attempts a Honey Trap scheme on Yuu and when he secretly takes pleasure in watching Jimi get jealous of Hakua's closeness with Yuu.
  • Freudian Excuse: His father is a self-aware womanizing scumbag and constantly told Souta that the latter is also evil due to his lineage. Worse yet, his mother agrees with this reasoning and hates him for looking like his father. This resulted in Souta taking his father's words to heart and not caring about being a better person or about his own safety.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: The end of Chapter 46 implies he has a crush on Yuzuko and that part of his reason for antagonizing Yuu is out of jealousy and fear that Yuu is playing with Yuzuko's feelings. After his Heel–Face Turn, he's more supportive of their relationship because he knows Yuu is trustworthy.
  • Psychological Projection: He's convinced that he and Yuu are not so different in feigning kindness in order to win people's affections.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: On his livestream, he dresses as a cute girl in order to "fish" for old men, presumably as a prank.

    Aruvina Satou
A soccer club member who streams as the idle talker White Crow.
  • Big Damn Heroes: When Yuu confronts Souta's father, the latter tries to punch Yuu. Fortunately, Vina throws a slime ball at Souta's father so that Yuu and Souta can escape.
  • But Not Too Foreign: He's half-Russian, which explains his first name.
  • Chuunibyou: He roleplays as a holy knight assassin, call his livestream a "congregation," and call his viewers his "brethren."
  • Flash Step: When Yuu stands behind him, Vina instantly moves behind Yuu and holds a branch to Yuu's neck.
  • Large Ham: Some of his viewers find his LARPing ridiculous, but also entertaining because of his enthusiasm and dramatic lines.
  • He Knows Too Much: Subverted. He briefly considers permanently silencing Yuu for catching him LARPing, but can't bring himself to do it.
  • LARP: During a trip to the hot springs, Vina streams himself while wearing a costume and fleeing from imaginary enemies.
  • Makes Us Even: Yuu helps cover for Vina's LARPing in the woods, causing Vina to later help him find a fake girlfriend to ward off Souka (Souta) Saotome.
  • Secret-Keeper: In Chapter 45-46, he learns that Souta is crossdressing as "Souko" in order to mess with Yuu. He promises to keep this a secret, unless Souta goes too far with his antics.
  • Smarter Than You Look: He may seem like a hammy chuunibyou who takes himself too seriously, but he's the first one to see through Souta's disguise as Souko.

Student Council

    Ritsu Kamikaze
The student council president.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She initially seems to be a kind and reasonable student council president, but she becomes jealous of Yuu gaining Hakua's affections and secretly gives him a ton of work to keep him from spending time with Hakua.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: She has a crush on Hakua and resents Yuu for being so close to her. Even after her Jerkass Realization, she still has plans to get between the two.
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: Her secret mistreatment of Yuu results in Hakua helping him, which is the opposite of her goal to separate the two of them.
  • Jerkass Realization: When she gives Yuu false advice on his paperwork, a teacher blames them both, since she expects Ritsu to catch the mistake. Yuu attempts to take Ritsu's share of the blame and praises her for giving him a chance to join the council, causing Ritsu to realize that she was wrong for sabotaging him.
  • Karma Houdini: Her sabotage of Yuu is never exposed and the only person who knows of her misdeeds is her childhood friend.

    Haru Muga
The student council vice president.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Despite keeping Ritsu's dark secrets, he wants her to change her ways and he helps Yuu fix his paperwork.
  • Secret-Keeper: He's the only one who knows about Ritsu's misdeeds towards Yuu, but doesn't expose her because they're childhood friends.
