Guenevere

  • Action Girl: If Guen specializes in sword skills and participates in battles.
  • Adaptational Badass: Guenevere, potentially. In the original source material, she usually isn't represented as a powerful swordswoman or sorceress, but can be played as either or both in the game.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Arthur nicknames her "Guen".
  • Daddy's Girl: A dutiful Guen, especially one who learned politics from her father, has aspects of this.
  • Girly Bruiser: Guen can be played as an expert swordswoman while still enthusing about fashion at every opportunity.
  • The High Queen:
  • Ladyof Black Magic: If Guen specializes in dark magic.
  • Lady of War: If Guen specializes in sword and/or leadership.
  • Manipulative Bitch: Can be played this way by manipulating and deceiving Arthur, Lancelot, and Morgana. Guen can be calculating and manipulative, sabotaging relationships or building up trust and affection with the intention of exploiting it for her own gain.
  • Princess Classic: Guen can be played this way if you focus on making her kind and spec her in noncombat skills.
  • Rebellious Princess: Guen, if angry with her situation.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: If Guen takes an active role in ruling.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: A happily married Guen will often remark on Arthur's good-hearted nature and how it makes her happier to be his wife.
  • Sympathetic Adulterer: Guen can enter into an extramarital relationship (with Lancelot and/or Morgana). This is treated sympathetically because she didn't have a choice about her arranged marriage. Unusually for this trope, Arthur isn't portrayed negatively over this — he tries his best to be a good husband to Guen, with no hints of controlling or abusive behaviour.

King Arthur

Sir Lancelot

King Arthur's best friend and right-hand man.
  • The Ace: Lancelot is an acclaimed knight, commander, and charmer. He's already renowned by the beginning of Book I, which is only built upon by his off-screen exploits between Books I and II.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Known as "Lance" to his friends.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Lancelot's friendship with Arthur has this dynamic; Arthur clearly confides in and admires Lance, and Lance provides advice and looks out for him.
  • The Charmer: Is mentioned to have a way with women and been a shameless flirt before meeting Guenevere.
  • The Casanova: Has a reputation for flirting with every noble lady at court.
  • Frontline General: Lancelot commands the cavalry directly from the field.
  • Ladykiller in Love: Lance is stated to have been quite the ladies' man before he met Guen.
  • The Lancer: To King Arthur, unsurprisingly. He's Arthur's closest friend and ally, but sees it as his job to do things Arthur won't, and isn't above keeping secrets from him.
  • Love Martyr: His attraction to Guen and guilt over betraying Arthur causes him a fair share of misery.

Morgana

Arthur's half-sister and a powerful dark magic user. She's married to King Lot and with him has two sons, Gawain and Gareth.

King Leodegrance

Guenevere's father and the King of Cornwall.
  • Papa Wolf: Despite potentially forcing Guen into a marriage she doesn't want, Leodegrance has aspects of this; after the assassination attempt at her wedding, he immediately runs up and wants to kill whoever's responsible and threatens to take her back to Cornwall if he's not assured she'll be kept safe by the army.

Sir Bretta and Sir Maris

Guenevere's bodyguards.
  • Action Girl: As female knights and Guen's bodyguards.

Sir Meligaunt

A disgraced noble who fled to the island of Michaelsmount after attempting to kill a 13-year-old Arthur and is rumored to practice dark magic.

Duchess Tilda

A Frankish noble and close relation of Queen Radagund.
