    General
  • Alliterative Name: Diamond Dominion.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Generally, the people of the Diamond Dominion are politically neutral and dedicate themselves to not only providing protection and medical relief doring intergalactic crises, but also give sanctuary to those who genuinely want to repent for their sins. However, should a crisis become too dangerous to leave alone, the Diamond Dominion shows that it possesses an incredible military force, headed by an Alicorn goddess who is one of the most powerful beings in the Equusian galaxy after the Cosmic Sovereigns.
  • The Dreaded: Despite being mainly a peacekeeping organization, the Diamond Dominion also possesses an incredibly strong military that everyone is afraid of provoking.
  • Matriarchy: The Diamond Dominion is ruled by Queen Elpis Milky Way, who was born as Diamond Tiara.
  • Space Police: The Diamond Dominion serve as galactic peacekeepers within the Equusian galaxy, tasked with both protecting the innocent during conflicts and performing search-and-rescue work wherever and whenever possible. They are a neutral faction and thus do not interfere in astropolitical matters unless the situation is dire enough for them to intervene, such as dealing with genocidal tyrants or omnicidal individuals.
  • Team Switzerland: Despite being ruled by Queen Elpis Milky Way, an Alicorn goddess who is both the Reincarnation of a Second Age demigoddess and presently one of the most powerful beings in Equusian galaxy, both she and the Diamond Dominion focus on galactic peacekeeping, which involves search-and-rescue work and protecting the innocent during conflicts. They refuse to meddle in astropolitics unless it's to deal with a genuine threat, like genocidal galactic tyrants or omnicidal individuals. Their sector is an official Truce Zone where people of all moralities from all walks of life are welcomed, as long as they follow the Diamond Dominion's rules during their stay.

Queen Elpis Milky Way, the Avatar of Hope

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal/Evolved

Portfolio: Leadership, Redemption, Hope Magic, Unity

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate; resembles a "Preeminent"-ranked goddess)

Affiliation: Diamond Dominion

"Under my wings, there shall be hope for all."

Queen Elpis Milky Way, born Diamond Tiara (first mentioned here; officially introduced here), is the Alicorn goddess of Leadership, Redemption, Hope Magic, and Unity, and is the benevolent leader of the Fifth Age's Diamond Dominion, a galactic civilization and peacekeeping organization.

For tropes relating to her past life as Diamond Tiara, go here.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: During the Second Void Aeon, she ends up re-Ascending as an Alicorn goddess of Leadership, Redemption, Hope Magic, Unity after gaining the Element of Hope, which contained the hopes and dreams of the entire Equusian galaxy.
  • Adaptational Badass: In addition to the growth she had as Diamond Tiara, during the "Second Void Aeon", she goes even further by absorbing the hopes of the entire galaxy and gains the Element of Hope, transforming her into an massive, ten-winged Alicorn goddess. It's later noted she's one of the strongest beings in the galaxy below the Cosmic Sovereigns.
  • All Your Powers Combined: In addition to the combined magics of all Pony tribes, during the "Second Void Aeon", she ends up absorbing all the hopes and dreams of the entire Equusian galaxy, transforming her Hope domain into Hope Magic and becoming the Bearer of the Element of Hope. According to Godzillawolf, her Element of Hope includes all three Element types at once, which are Chaos, Order, and Harmony.
  • Animalistic Abomination: In addition to the diamond wings and crystalline orange horn she gained upon becoming Diamond Glow's reincarnation, in the Fifth Age, during the second Final Battle with the Void Sovereign, she is aged up to an incredibly large Alicorn goddess with eldritch traits like ten diamond wings and a mane and tail depicting the entire Equusian galaxy's hopes and dreams. This is thanks to being made the Bearer of the Element of Hope by the Genesis and Perpetuity Sovereigns, causing her to absorb everyone's hopes and dreams and affecting her physically and magically.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's now an Alicorn goddess who embodies Leadership, Redemption, Hope Magic, and Unity after being made the Bearer of the Element of Hope during the "Second Void Aeon".
  • The Antichrist: Averted. In addition to all the heroic deeds she did as Diamond Tiara, she finally proves the Poenans wrong about her by becoming the literal divine embodiment of an entire galaxy's worth of hopes and dreams, in contrast to the "great darkness" she was prophesied to be.
  • Anti-Anti-Christ: In addition to all the heroic deeds she did as Diamond Tiara, she finally proves once and for all that the Poenans were wrong about her by encouraging everyone not to give up hope during the second battle with the Void Sovereign, and re-Ascending as the divine avatar of the Equusian galaxy's hopes and dreams. In fact, when the Perpetuity and Genesis Sovereigns tell her that she is indeed worthy of bearing the Element of Hope, she finally accepts her status as the Anti-Antichrist after years of self-doubt and lets them crown her.
  • The Atoner: Deconstructed. Despite all the good things she did as Diamond Tiara, the knowledge that she is predicted to bring forth a "great darkness" — and being nearly killed by the Poenan Pantheon's followers for it — heavily weighed on her mind and constantly plagued her with self-doubt. It's not until the Perpetuity and Genesis Sovereigns choose her to bear the Element of Hope that she finally accepts that she had already proven the Poenans wrong about her long ago.
  • Awesome Moment of Crowning: During Equus' second battle with the Void Sovereign, she rallies everyone behind her and encourages them not to give up hope, thanks to a little encouragement from Diamond Glow, her past life. This leads to her meeting the Perpetuity and Genesis Sovereigns, who deem her worthy of the Element of Hope and crown her as Queen Elpis. Upon donning the Element of Hope (which took the shape of a crown resembling her Cutie Mark), she absorbs the entire galaxy's hopes and dreams, physically aging her until she became an eldritch, ten-winged Alicorn goddess.
  • Beware the Nice Ones:
    • She's a benevolent mare an goddess who has long redeemed herself for her past as a bully, and presently she's The High Queen of the Diamond Dominion. She also played a huge role in defeating and killing the Void Sovereign, who nearly destroyed Equus the first time he appeared, and became the divine avatar of Hope during that battle, making her one of the most powerful beings in the Equusian galaxy after the Cosmic Sovereigns.
    • When Overempress Nadenza initially treats her like a non-entity during a diplomatic meeting between them, she stands her ground, calmly explains herself, and brings up her status as Diamond Glow's reincarnation, which placates Nadenza as the latter respected Diamond Glow's bravery and Heroic Sacrifice.
    • She is famously sympathetic towards those who made huge mistakes yet wanted to repent for them, and is always willing to give such people sanctuary in her Diamond Dominion. What truly enrages her, however, is judicial extremists, as she was persecuted by the Poenan Pantheon as a young mortal filly for being a Reformed Bully with potential to become The Antichrist. Anyone who tries challenging her on her beliefs that sinners should be given a second chance end up learning their lesson the hard way.
  • Big Good: In contrast to the Poenans' predictions of her bringing forth a "great evil/darkness", she became a benevolent Queen of her own civilization, the avatar of Hope, and one of the most powerful beings in the Equusian galaxy after the local Cosmic Sovereigns. The Diamond Dominion also functions as a peacekeeping organization, tasked with saving and protecting innocents during crisies and conflicts, and keeps itself neutral from astropolitics unless it's extremely necessary for them to do so.
  • The Chosen One: By the Fifth Age, she's chosen by the Element of Hope, a unique, powerful Element formed from the hope of the entire galaxy and part of all three sets at once, to become its Bearer. She cries Tears of Joy in response as this makes her realize she has long proven the Poenans wrong about her, but frequently doubted herself until now.
  • Deity of Human Origin: As noted in Diamond Tiara's folder, she was originally a mortal Earth Pony who eventually Ascended to demi-godhood, and later true godhood, by becoming Diamond Glow's reincarnation. During the second battle with the Void Sovereign, she re-Ascends as the divine avatar of the entire Equusian galaxy's hopes and dreams, turning into an Alicorn goddess who is on par with the Morality Sovereigns physically and magically.
  • Gentle Giant: Becoming the divine avatar of the entire galaxy's hopes and dreams not only jacks up her natural power to phenomenal degrees, but physically transforms her until she's a gigantic ten-winged Alicorn who can stand eye-to-eye with the Sovereigns of Good, Evil, and Neutrality. She's also a benevolent heroine who, through her good deeds and merit, proved the Poenan Pantheon wrong about her becoming a potential harbringer of evil.
  • God of Good: Not only does she embody Redemption, Unity, and the good aspects of Leadership, but she also embodies Hope Magic in that she embodies all three aspects of Hope — Hope from Chaos, Hope from Order, and Hope from Harmony. This is because she was personally picked by the Perpetuity and Genesis Sovereigns to become the Equusian galaxy's avatar of Hope, seeing her as everyone's last hope in defeating/killing the Void Sovereign once and for all.
  • The High Queen: By the Fifth Age, she is crowned as Queen Elpis Milky Way by the Genesis and Perpetuity Sovereigns, and she becomes the ruler of her own galactic realm, the Diamond Dominion. As the Bearer/Avatar of Hope itself, she welcomes people from all walks of life into her realm and leads a neutral faction of galactic peacekeepers who only seek to protect/heal the innocent.
  • Hope Bringer: She's the one to send out the rallying cry to the galaxy to keep fighting the Void Sovereign. This leads to her becoming perhaps the Codexverse's ultimate example when the hopes of the entire galaxy use her as a conduit, creating the Element of Hope that chooses her as its Bearer.
  • Immortal Ruler: She's an Alicorn goddess who is also the living avatar of the Equusian galaxy's hope and dreams, and she's both the Queen and leader of the Diamond Dominion, a civilization of galactic peacekeepers.
  • Karmic Jackpot: After years of character development and working on becoming a better mare, she is eventually rewarded for her progress when, in response to her giving a Rousing Speech to the entire Equusian galaxy, the Perpetuity and Genesis Sovereigns arrive to crown her as Queen of the galaxy and Bearer of Hope. The sheer power of her Element transforms her into a much older, eldritch Alicorn goddess, giving her the strength to effectively counter the Void Sovereign's powers and eventually defeat/kill him.
  • Meaningful Name: By the Fifth Age, she is crowned Queen Elpis Milky Way by the Genesis and Perpetuity Sovereigns, turning her into a living avatar of Hope. Elpis is the Greek spirit of Hope, often depicted as a woman. The Milky Way refers to the entire galaxy in which the Codexverse takes place, and Elpis adopted it as part of her name after becoming Queen to signify her sovereignty over all those who live in it, in accordance to ancient Alicorn tradition.
  • Oppose What You Suffered: She is genuinely enraged by judicial extremists who don't give others a fair trial or a chance to repent, as she herself was persecuted as a young filly by the Poenan Pantheon for being a Reformed Bully who had the potential to herald a "great darkness". Anyone who tried challenging her beliefs that villains and sinners can be saved end up learning the hard way why she was chosen to be the Avatar of Hope.
  • Passing the Torch: She used to be the Red Ranger, but after re-Ascending, she has since given her Power Coin to a worthy successor. That being said, she's still a former Power Ranger and will step in if needed.
  • Point of Divergence: Various entries and supplementary materials imply that had Diamond Tiara not made the right choices, or she wasn't saved from the Poenans the day she and Silver Spoon were attacked as fillies, she wouldn't have become the divine avatar of an entire galaxy's hopes and dreams... or lived long enough to get to that point.
  • Position of Literal Power: In addition to her time as Mayor of Ponyville while she was still the Red Power Ranger, she eventually is crowned Queen by the Perpetuity and Genesis Sovereigns during the "Second Void Aeon", and founds the Diamond Dominion following the Void Sovereign's defeat/death. This is justified as becoming Queen involved becoming the avatar of the entire Equusian galaxy's hopes and dreams, which aged her up until she was on par with the Morality Sovereigns, making her far more powerful than a deity her age normally would have been.
  • Power Gives You Wings: She gains four more diamond wings in addition to the pair she already had upon re-Ascending as the divine avatar of the Equusian galaxy's hope, giving her a total ten wings. Notably, the only other Alicorns who were recorded to have ten wings are the Thirteen Empyreans, the Morality Sovereigns, and Moon Ray Vaughoof/King TungliĆ° Hreinsar Innlausn-Heimdrasil post-Eldritch Transformation.
  • Rapid Aging: A positive example. After being chosen to be the Bearer of Hope and crowned as Queen Elpis by the Perpetuity and Genesis Sovereigns, she rapidly ages to the point where she ends up becoming a ten-winged "Preeminent"-ranked Alicorn like Moon Ray/TungliĆ° did after he re-Ascended. Notably, she's now able to stand eye-to-eye with Vicearch Iniquitous, Virtuecrat Fairytale, and their Neutral counterpart. This is normal for deities since they age by getting Stronger with Age.
  • The Redeemer: As a goddess of Redemption, she has similar powers as Vykup, being able to grant blessings that help others in earning redemption, and revoke curses and/or punishments after the atoners have achieved a set number of good deeds. Even before her re-Ascension, she always sympathized with those who made mistakes as she did and genuinely wanted to help them repent. After becoming Queen Elpis and founding the Diamond Dominion, she gained a reputation for granting shelter to genuinely repentant sinners. Because of her past experiences, she is genuinely enraged by judicial extremists and will not hesitate to teach them a lesson should they try to challenge her beliefs in redemption.
  • Reincarnation: She is by now Diamond Glow's reincarnation, which gives her her ancestress's diamond wings and crystalline orange horn. During a diplomatic meeting with Overempress Nadenza (an Ascendant Overmare), she brings up her connection to Diamond Glow as her reincarnation to prove that she and the Diamond Dominion would keep their word of neutrality and not undermine Nadenza's ambitions of galactic conquest. Nadenza, who respected Diamond Glow for her bravery and Heroic Sacrifice against the Void Sovereign, agreed to her terms.
  • Younger Than They Look: She's still a young goddess by the time Equus has a second battle with the Void Sovereign. But thanks to absorbing the hopes and dreams of an entire galaxy, she is physically aged up to an eldritch, ten-winged Alicorn goddess that's as big as Vicearch Iniquitous, Virtuecrat Fairytale, and their Neutral counterpart, Variatrix Libra.
