This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Regarding the No Real Life Examples, Please! page, why do we tropers now tend to make mountains out of molehills about the real life examples of Evil and Villain Tropes, to the point of Edit War?
Please take that discussion to this thread.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. Please could I request a deletion of the Inuyasha entry on the the FiveManBand.AnimeI-M page.
Sorry, I don't know how to correctly namespace this page without getting a red link all the time. It's the Five Man Band / AnimeI-M page. If someone could give me some advice, I'll re-edit this post to make sure the namespace is correct.
I went to the Five Man Band clean-up thread with my concerns and there was agreement that it should be removed, as discussed here.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Am going to request the cutting of the examples for Gregory Grue of Extraordinary, Garren from Farsala, and Clay Shaw from Imperial Bedrooms, from the literature subpage for Complete Monster. Since they were brought up in the thread nobody has found a reason to keep them, and no one has even come forth to defend their inclusion.
Monster.Literature, for the record.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanNew additions and rewrite time...
For the Monster.Film subpage, please add Mickey Cohen writeup from 16539 and replace Azazel's entry with the rewrite on the same post
And add Fantomas from that post to the Monster.Literature page
On the same Lit page page, swap out Napoleon from Animal Farm entry with Forepenser's at 16577
Replace the Horned King writeup on Monster.Disney with Morgenthaler's writeup at 16591
From post 16617
On the Monster.Literature page, replace William Hamleigh's entry with new writeup
On the Monster.Film page, replace the District 9 entries with the new writeups at the same
Also, on the same page, at post 16622, replace Michael Myers' writeup on the film page with Ambar's writeup for him
Add King Numedides to the Conan writeups for Literature
And add to the Monster.Comic Book pages
- The Conan The Barbarian comics from Dark Horse have several examples...
- Ra Sidh of The Midnight God commits mass murder on his own people to summon the Eldritch Abomination deity he worships: a deity so terrifying and nightmarish it frightens even hardened devotees of other dark gods. He lures Conan into confrontation by murdering his unborn child, and to summon his God, uses a boy Conan had formed a bond with solely to hurt the Cimmerian more. The world Ra Sidh intends to create is a horrible tyranny where he and his God reign supreme, which frightens even the kings of the dead empire Acheron who are only too willing to lend their aid to Conan to stop the evil sorcerer.
- While Thoth-Amon is sometimes portrayed as a Noble Demon or given redeeming qualities, The Book of Thoth reveals him as a selfish, horrible monster. Starting as an ambitious orphan, Thoth murders his friend Amon and takes his name to steal Amon's new place in the Ibis Temple. When Thoth's mentor discovers Thoth has been worshiping the Serpent God Set, Thoth magically lobotomizes him to admit he is the 'real' heretic. Thoth has every member of the royal family in front of his chosen puppet killed to place him on the throne and magically lobotomizes him to use him as a puppet and convert all of Stygia to Set's worship, turning it into a hellhole. Thoth proceeds to have his mentor's son crucified, only rescued by the intervention of allies, and is so far gone that he considers having his friend crucified again after said friend saves his life. Thoth unleashes a plague to consolidate his power, which kills his own sister. when he discovers this, he no longer cares and sets about making new plans, any conscience he once had long gone.
Finally, on the 16625 post
Replace the Baccano entries on Monster.Anime And Manga with the new writeups
Replace Sicks entry on the same with his new writeup in that post
Replace Friend from Twentieth Century Boys on the same page with the new writeups in that post
Also, on the Literature page, Aurang and Aurax need to be given their own bullet.

For the District 9 example, the crippled gangster has a name. It's Obesandjo.
Please add the following to No Real Life Examples, Please!:
* PredatoryBusiness: While these may exist in real life, the trope is about villainous companies, and this wiki isn't into calling real life people or organizations villains.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpTwo Circular Links detected on Lolicon. Please purge with extreme prejudice.
Beyond the beaten path lies the absolute end. It matters not who you are... Death awaits you. — NyxFor FiveManBand.Live Action TV-G-M:
- ''{{Kamen Rider Den-O}}'' to ''Series/KamenRiderDenO''
- Kamen Rider OOO needs to be namespaced
For those Conan examples: Comic Books. Please add them right before the "Crossed" examples.
Also, for Stephen King, right after The Green Mile example please add the following:
- Atropos from Insomnia is one of the entities responsible for cutting the life threads of the mortals whose time has come. But unlike the other entities like him, Atropos absolutely despises humans for being such short-lived creatures, and takes great pleasure in ending their lives. So in addition to doing his job, Atropos goes after people whose fate isn’t decided and causes them to die horribly, which he has done enough times to fill an entire cave with trophies of his victims. When his boss, the Crimson King, wants him to kill a young boy before he grows up to oppose his plans, Atropos uses this opportunity to harm as many people as possible. He proceeds to corrupt a nice family man called Ed Deepneau into becoming a wife-beating extremist. Under Atropos' manipulation, Deepneau gets together with like-minded maniacs and assault a woman care center, where they murder dozens of people, as a distraction for his real plan: to have Deepneau crash with a plane full of explosives onto a pro-abortion rights rally that the kid will be attending with his mother, killing them along with the other two thousand people present. Along the way, Atropos has several of the protagonist’s friends killed just to piss him off, and taunts him about it. Finally, when his plans are foiled, Atropos tries to kill Deepneau’s six-year old daughter (who the hero befriended) just to get back at him for humiliating him in front of his boss.
EDIT: Oops, Atropos duplicate request of Lighty.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsAlso, Anton Chigurh was accidentally removed from the film page when the Mel Gibson entries were put up. Can we please restore his entry?
Can you replace the examples of Hot Mom with the examples I've sorted and namespaced here?
I now go by Graf von Tirol.6501: Done, and Netorare Genre has been made a redirect to Netorare.
6505, 6509-6511, 6513, 6514: Done.
I'm posting in the CM cleanup thread about namespaces, apparently I wasn't clear enough in here.

Sorry, I went through and fixed all the examples in my posts at those links, let me know if I made any mistakes.
Also cut Carnegie, Lektor from Manhunter and the hillbilly 'squeal like a pig' rapists from Deliverance from the Monster.Film page
6493 is done.

Minor spelling correction for Monster.Film: in the entry for Kiss of Death, the actor's name is Richard Widmark, not Widemark. (No E.)
Please replace the current Tales Series CM page with this one. We meant to change it a while ago but never did.
Need edit for: Double Standard Rape: Female on Male
Reason: bad grammar error
Change "Surprisingly subverted in , in which Lois rapes Peter. It's played out for comedic effect and other characters think Peter is totally pathetic for it, but he is notably disturbed by the whole thing. "
to
"Surprisingly subverted in an episode in which Lois rapes Peter. It's played out for comedic effect and other characters (save Brian) think Peter is totally pathetic for it, but he is notably disturbed by the whole thing. "
6507, 6516, 6520: Done.
6512: Already done.
6519: Done and the sandbox is cutlisted.
Everything should be caught up; LMK if I overlooked anything.
Few other cuts and swaps:
From Monster.Film cut The Incident examples, cut Don Logan, cut reginald Shaw,
Also, can the entry for It on the Film page be swapped with the entry on the Stephen King page?
A Gold Digger is tucked under the Western Animation folder for some reason. Plus the indenting is fouled up.
Tweaked the Daria entry and tried to fix the Gold Digger's indentation.
Daria: Daria and Quinn's mom Helen Morgendorffer is an attractive lawyer, with her curvy figure, light auburn mane, elegant lips, and long legs.
- Gold Digger:
- Julia Diggers is pretty good looking, except for the age-lines. Which are now gone, thanks to her "renewing breath" technique de-aging her about twenty years.
- Fred Perry also does cheesecake and beefcake art, as well as situations based on and/or mocking his experiences in Final Fantasy Online. Then he animated a bit here about his character Misi and her rather outrageous (and outrageously MILF-tastic) mother. The scene is even paced to "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne, the song quoted from at the top of this page.
Edit: And a few more. Morel Orel just need 'works' (below) swapped for 'looks' (current).
- Nurse Bendy is considered very attractive by several of the men in Moral Orel and is later revealed to be the mother of Joe, whom she had with a doctor at the hospital she works at, where she was clearly hired for her looks.
Removing reference to another entry:
- Drew Saturday from The Secret Saturdays. Tall, slender, busty, youthful, the main difference is Drew is a Heroic Albino and as such has snow white hair. And all of it poured into a skintight catsuit... It certainly doesn't hurt to have Nicole Sullivan voicing her.
Subentry on The Simpsons, removing 'we':
- There are a number of in-universe references to Marge being very attractive, particularly in the episode where she was accidentally given Gag Boobs-style implants. Marge has even appeared on the cover of Maxim magazine and Playboy. Not in the show; in real life. Matt Groening himself confessed to finding Marge "pretty hot" on one of the early DVD commentaries.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettCould you please move Atropos after Green Mile?
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM Drafts6522: I made the cuts, but I think that Pennywise's entry for the Film page should reflect what IT actually does in the film...I don't remember all of those things in the King page happening, but it's been a looooong time since I saw the film version.
6523: Done.
6524: Done...I forget which pages are alphabetized and which aren't.
TRS has decided to split Netorare Genre between plain Netorare as an exampleless fanspeak term and Cuckold as the proper trope. Can Sandbox.Netorare be switched into Netorare, please? Thanks!
