Main Characters

    Lelouch Lamparouge/Lelouch vi Britannia/Zero

Lelouch Lamparouge/Lelouch vi Britannia/Zero

The exiled 11th Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire. After the war in Japan, he and Nunnally are rescued by an old man named Havi, who introduces the prince to the world of monsters. Now working as a mercenary and an adventurer as his famous persona, he seeks to not only topple Britannia but also change the status quo dominated by the monsters.
  • Adaptational Badass: Lelouch has actual physical prowess here, rather than solely being a Guile Hero as he was in canon.
  • A True Hero: Lelouch is a bit of an Anti-Hero on Earth due to his own personal hatred of Britannia. On Midgard, though, Lelouch actively seeks to achieve coexistence between humans and monsters but acknowledges this will require great changes on both sides.
  • All Amazons Want Hercules: Boy, where to begin? Lelouch already had a following with just his role as a Guile Hero alone in canon. Thanks to his new abilities, he has attracted the Queen of the Dragons, her champion Marietta, several Order Heroes of Lescatie, a monster slayer form Zipangu, and the leader of the Radical Faction after being the first to completely defy her.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Saves Mimil from Lucella's attempt to turn her into a monster.
  • Black Knight: As Zero. Bonus points for actually being a knight in this story.
  • Byronic Hero: Just like in canon. He supports the coexistence between humans and monsters and seeks to topple the Chief God, in addition to destroying Britannia. However, he also sees the monsters as incredibly deranged and will use whatever methods to change their ways.
  • Celibate Hero: Lelouch has more interest in defeating Britannia and changing the state of Midgard before seeking relationships with any of the women in his life. It doesn’t help that he already got jumped on twice by monster girls, which did not give him a good impression at all. This gets complicated once Wilmarina starting going into bed with him, and then Koyoi joins in.
  • Chick Magnet: There is a countless number of named women, both human and monster alike, who have a thing for him.
    • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Luciana notes how he’s unaware of the number of women who are interested in him.
  • Cultured Badass: Uses his knowledge of monsters to his advantage, both in confronting them and having them as allies. One noticeable example is how harmless a Umi Osho is yet how threatening one is a very bad idea.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: Lelouch already had a problem with the monsters for their inability to kill humans and sexual decadence. It's only when one of them tried to rape him that he decided to avoid getting too close to them.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: A recurring theme as he and his Black Knights wear black colors but are the most heroic of the known factions.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Even if they're talented individuals, Lelouch doesn't take kindly to how Lescatie employs children in their military.
  • Famed In-Story: As Zero, Lelouch already has a reputation among the monsters and Order of the Chief God as the mysterious Black Knight with incredible power and mysterious motives. On one hand, the Order criticizes him for his brutal methods while many monsters see his crusade against them as a sad story brought by an unfortunate Cynicism Catalyst. On the other hand, humans accept his actions as a Necessary Evil, and even certain monsters admire him anyway.
  • First Kiss: With Wilmarina, who then ends up getting one from Koyoi.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Lelouch's actions in Midgard have more rippling effects as the fic went on.
    • The incident at Saida started Lelouch's start of his war against Lilith, but over time lead to division among the monster realms as they learn more about his origins and goals.
    • By becoming Wilmarina's top adviser, he prevents her and several other characters from their fate as monsters. More significantly, Wilmarina's mask of a selfless heroine who aims her blade at the Demon Lord becomes her true personality as she falls for him.
    • Perhaps as the result of his new mana, Lelouch ends up creating a twist in the Sword of Truth storyline: Yuriy ends up being the Smart Ball, questioning the system on Midgard, while Eristia splits herself in two with one following Zero.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Lelouch has no qualms with going against the Order and accepts the dreams of co-existence between humans and monsters. He also knows that the monsters' overall goal isn't a good idea either, and Britannia would mow down anything in their way, even in a world that's not their own.
  • The Heart: Effectively is this for the Order of the Holy Ice Flower. After the Fall of Lescatie, he's the one keeping them all fighting.
  • Hope Bringer: Just like in canon, his position as Zero has inspired Heroes to unite and fight effectively under his wings. Vermut ends up convinced that he brings much more hope than Wilmarina and the rest of the Order, to the point she’d let herself get monsterized than let Druella get a hold of him.
  • The Immune: As a result of being altered by a special machine in Agartha, Lelouch is immune to the corrupting effects of demonic energy. This is because the process that made Lelouch's body immune to demonic mana actually infuses his body with pseudo-demonic mana.
  • Playing Both Sides: Lelouch's modus operandi as the Black Knight. He has no qualms in helping the monsters when it's safe to do so but helps the Order to eradicate them since he cannot completely accept the Demon Lord's vision of the future.
  • Playing with Fire: One of his weapons is a katana capable of manipulating it.
  • Pragmatic Hero: Lelouch is generally more classically heroic than he was in the anime, but he will Shoot the Dog if necessary. Case in point, he once torched an entire village after it was infected by Matango, as he found that it could not be saved.
  • Red Baron: Known across Midgard quite literally as "The Black Knight."
  • Second Love: It's heavily hinted that he is becoming this to Wilmarina after losing Elt to the monsters.
  • Shock and Awe: One of his weapons, Mjölnir, is capable of channeling lightning and generating thunderstorms around him.

    Nunnally Lamparouge/Nunnally vi Britannia

Nunnally Lamparouge/Nunnally vi Britannia

“When someone holds out a hand, it’s a sign that everything will be alright.”
Lelouch's younger sister. Initially blind and crippled from the trauma of Marianne's death years ago, she has somehow regained her ability to walk and partially see thanks to her magical power. She has become more aware of Lelouch's activities and becomes a close friend to his acquaintances.
  • Abled in the Adaptation: Nunnally has managed to regain her ability to walk, as well as a limited amount of her sight, via magic.
  • Ascended Fangirl: If her comments and knowledge of various Magical Girl series are of any indication, having Mimil as a friend is something she finds more than enjoyable.
  • Friend to All Living Things: She is friends with Mizuko and welcomes Alameria and Mimil with a sign of friendship.
  • Interspecies Friendship: With Mizuko the Umi Osho.
  • Morality Pet: Becomes this for Lelouch and everyone else involved in their lives.
  • Secret-Keeper: Unlike in canon, where Lelouch keeps Nunnally in the dark about being Zero, she's aware of who he is.

    Wilmarina Noscrim

Wilmarina Noscrim/"Null"

A 17-year old young woman who is hailed as the strongest Hero of Lescatie, who is proclaimed to be the one destined to defeat the Demon Lord. In reality, she just wants to be with her childhood friend, who recently came back into her life. After spending his time working with Lelouch/Zero, she has become rebellious and even willing to disobey her father if it means protecting her men and those she loves.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: In canon, she went from a meek woman to a nihilistic Yandere upon her transformation into a succubus. Thanks to Lelouch/Zero, however, she has become more open with her feelings and is willing to defy her father.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Inverted. In canon, Wilmarina was personally corrupted by Druella and turned into a succubus. However, thanks to Lelouch/Zero, she remained human in this story. And she used the same machine as Lelouch to remain a human permanently.
  • An Ice Person: Ice magic is her specialty.
  • Becoming the Mask: She never wanted to fight monsters and only wanted to be reunited with her childhood friend. Witnessing what happened to Elt has made her pre-corruption personality more of her true self.
  • Berserk Button: Don't mention harems. Not after seeing what happened to Elt.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Has light blue hair and unrivaled power as a Hero.
  • Broken Ace: What she becomes after the Fall of Lescatie, losing Elt, and witnessing an Alternate Self and many of her friends becoming his wives.
  • Bullet Time: The best way to describes her Geass given by C.C.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Develops this when her relationship with Lelouch becomes more than close. She even slaps Milly over the idea of having a harem with him. Then comes Koyoi forcing her relationship with him.
  • First Kiss: With Lelouch.
  • Gilded Cage: Seen in the eyes of the people as the Hero who will defeat the Demon Lord. However, this is just a mask to hide her true feelings.
  • Foil: To Lelouch, being of royal (or noble) lineage with incredible talent. Wilmarina’s status as The Chosen One is merely for her father’s political agenda that she accepted meekly, ultimately wanting to be with Elt should she have her own way. On the other hand, Lelouch is a rebellious boy who rejects his royal lineage and prioritizes saving the world over pursuing a normal life, becoming a symbol of hope for all by his own merit and achievements.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: She wishes to be with Elt, her childhood friend she thought was dead years ago. Unfortunately, her father's ambitions and their tragic past prevents her from doing so.
  • The Immune: Like Lelouch, she becomes immune to the effects of demonic mana with the same machine in Agartha.
  • Meaningful Name: Takes up the nickname "Null," which means "zero" in most European languages.
  • Meaningful Rename: Not her own name, but that of her sword. Compared to her old sword, All-For-You, Einfural means “One for all,” meaning she joins Lelouch for more than just to avenge Elt and all of Lescatie.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: Gets a new sword and armor from the three brothers.
  • Rebellious Princess: Her trust in Lelouch means she's able to go against her father's wishes. After Kirsch tries to assassinate Zero, she's more than willing to defy him completely.
  • Red Baron: The Holy Ice Flower of Noscrim.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Sought to obtain weapons from Agarthan technology to take revenge against Druella. Thankfully, Lelouch talks her out of it before this could happen.
  • Shout-Out: Her Storm of Blades ability is based on Irelia.
  • Storm of Blades: Creates swords out of frozen air that can regenerate any damage.
  • Undying Loyalty: She eventually develops one to Lelouch after the events of Lescatie. She will follow him and support him to the bitter end, or die trying, given the chance.

Lescatie

The second strongest nation aligned with the Order of the Chief God. Although it produces the strongest Heroes the Order has to offer, it internally suffers from the corrupt elite, who additionally treat their warriors as weapons and political tools. The political corruption within the nation eventually becomes so deep that, in addition to threatening the Royal Makai, it becomes a juicy target for the Druella to take over. Eventually, it gets taken over by Druella with new management from the Radical Faction.

    Order of the Ice Flower

Order of the Ice Flower

A knight order organized by Priest Noscrim to both confront the monsters and further his political goals. Zero becomes part of this knight order while seeking allies for his own cause.

Tropes associated with the Order of the Ice Flower in general:

  • Aristocrat Team: Mostly composed of those with high social-class backgrounds or are from military families. The exceptions are Primera, Kirsch, and Elt.
  • Child Soldier: Includes Mimil and Parshe, who are not even in their teens. Lelouch is quite disturbed about this revelation.
  • Face–Heel Turn: The majority of the Heroes and their lovers turn to the monsters after their years of abuse by their superiors.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Many of them have desires of their own but can not achieve them as they go against their superiors’ wishes.
  • Recruited from the Gutter: Those who escaped with Lelouch and didn't join the monsters end up having this relationship with the fallen prince, considering their abuses from the current state.

Elt

Wilmarina's childhood friend. Ever since he was exiled, he sought to fight alongside her by joining the military. During the years, however, he has caught the eye of many other girls of all ages and species.
  • Butt-Monkey: Gets punished despite objecting to his friends' attempts to get a peek at Zero. Then, he sleeps through the whole invasion and ends up forced on by a parallel version of Wilmarina.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Elt is seemingly unaware that many other girls not named Wilmarina have an eye for him.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Becomes an incubus at the end of the Lescatie arc.
  • Foil: He is what Lelouch would have become if he did not have the same Heroic Resolve, ambition, or past experience with monsters.
    • He is also one to Suzaku. However, he is content with the current system in place no matter how rotten or messed up it is.
  • Heavy Sleeper: The result of having low blood pressure throughout his life. This gets removed when he ends up an incubus.
  • Red Is Heroic: Has red hair and the characteristics of a classic JRPG hero. Subverted when he becomes an incubus, though it is forced on him.
  • Skilled, but Naive: Lelouch views Elt as this, who means well and works hard to achieve his dreams but underestimates Lescatie's unforgiving politics.
  • The One Guy: Apart from Eva and Zero, he's one of the few males in the Order of the Ice Flower.

Merse Dascaros

A captain in the Order of the Ice Flower and Elt’s commanding officer.

Luciana Sausare

A childhood friend of Wilmarina and Elt. She seeks to gain Elt's attention by surpassing Wilmarina with almost no success.
  • Always Second Best: Never seems to get close to Wilmarina's level anywhere.
  • Genre Savvy: Luciana is very aware that she's in a classic teen romance story, dealing with a popular guy who pretends to be oblivious to others to avoid competition and violence between the girls. She also assumes that Lelouch will eventually unmask himself of his Celibate Hero status over time.
  • Love Triangle: With Wilmarina and Elt.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: Gets a new sword and armor from the three brothers.
  • Number Two: Has this position in the Order of the Holy Ice Flower.

Vermut Rosnair

Wilmarina's knight-bodyguard. Born from a long line of Knights, she was scorned by the nobles until she came across Priest Noscrim. She will do anything to protect the young Hero, even if it means going against her wishes.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Originally, she became a succubus during the Fall of Lescatie. This time, she ends up a Dragon.
  • Bodyguard Babes: She is Wilmarina’s knight-bodyguard within the Order.
  • Defiant to the End: Proudly stands against Druella as she allows Zero to escape.
  • More Expendable Than You: Similar to Urabe and Rolo from the canon Code Geass timeline, she’d rather let the monsters have her than Wilmarina or Lelouch since they are that important.
  • Senseless Sacrifice: Knocks Zero into the portal that allows him to escape. Given what Druella does to her enemies, Lelouch was not very impressed by this.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Wilmarina, ever since she was given the chance to prove her worth as a Knight of Lescatie.

Olivie Amaltia

The leader of the "Three Musketeers," formed alongside Alameria and Paula.
  • Blue Blood: Is one of nobility that is loyal to the Noscrim faction in the Lescatie Senate.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Does not see Alameria as any different when her status as a dhampir is revealed.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Calls out Lelouch for trying to hide his face, even when it was pointless to do so.

Paula Tronmail

The sniper of the "Three Musketeers." Born to a family with poor lands despite having dealings with local law enforcement, she's incredibly accurate with her pistols. She finds it hard to get along with others socially.
  • Faking the Dead: Zero leaves behind a realistic corpse after she leaves Lescatie with him.
  • Guns Akimbo: With twin pistols.
  • Impoverished Patrician: While her family is of nobility and runs the local police force, the lands they own are very poor.
  • No Social Skills: It's hard for her to get along with other members of the Ice Flower Knights other than Olivie and Alameria.
  • Shout-Out: Her new weapons given by Zero, First and Last Whisper, operated the same ways as the gun of the same name operated by Jhin.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Does not see Alameria as any different when her status as a dhampir is revealed.

Alameria Crescentria

The third member of the "Three Musketeers," who joined the military and became a Hero after the apparent death of her mother and father. Unknown to her, she is a dhampir, which causes an uproar when the Lescatie Senate finds out about it.
  • Faking the Dead: Like Paula, Zero leaves behind a realistic corpse after she escapes Lescatie.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Is a dhampir, a half-human, half-vampire.
  • Heroic BSoD: Undergoes one even after being rescued by her friends over the reveal of her dhampir heritage.

Eva Mistiv

The only other boy besides Zero and Elt to be part of the Order of the Ice Flower.
  • Gender Flip: The result of being turned into an Alp.
  • The One Guy: Like Eva and Zero, he's one of the few males in the Order of the Ice Flower. Until he ends up an Alp.
  • The Strategist: His role within the Order of the Holy Ice Flower.

Primera Concerto

A half-elf native to the lands of Lescatie, now a Knight in the Order of the Holy Ice Flower.

Mimil Miltié

The talented mage of Lescatie, receiving the title Magical Girl upon her recognition as a Hero. She’s proficient at magic spells and barriers, capable of understanding even those cast by Lelouch. She also becomes the Tagalong Kid of his party during his campaigns.
  • Child Soldier: She's Lescatie's strongest mage despite being only twelve years old.
  • Deadpan Snarker: The result of being around so many adults who treat her like a tool.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Hates being a prodigy because of how she's treated like a weapon more than a child.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: Believes that her intelligence in magic prevented her from having friends. The closest one apart from Elt and to her age is Parshe, and even she's only considered a rival.
  • Magical Girl: Has this particular motif. Her title is also the said trope.
  • Post-Victory Collapse: Sort of. After holding off Lucella long enough on her own for Zero to defeat her, she falls unconscious.
  • Tagalong Kid: Lelouch makes use of her abilities and invites her with the promise of buying her Trademark Favorite Food as a reward. She also becomes this among The Remnant of the Ice Flower Knights.
  • Token Mini-Moe: Along with Parshe. She is later of the The Remnant of the Holy Ice Flower that made its way to Earth.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Parfaits.
  • Wise Beyond Their Years: Due to being a child genius, she is a lot smarter and more capable than most around her age.

Parshe Lufarshe

A magic fencer who mastered the sword and ice magic at the same age as Mimil. Parshe sees Mimil as a rival for both achievements and Elt’s affections, though the latter is oblivious to it.

Kirsch

An assassin working for Priest Noscrim. Recruited from the slums, she became the man's inside woman for the Order of the Ice Flower, eliminating anyone who is an inconvenience to him. Before the invasion of Lescatie, she has been assigned to assassinate Zero, only to be captured by his new followers.
  • Assassin Outclassin': Despite being Priest Noscrim's top assassin, she gets easily defeated and captured by Zero's group.
  • Manchild: Havi comments how despite being in her twenties, her mental age is no different from a child’s.
  • One-Hit Kill: How her sword supposedly works. Subverted, as it's actually a cursed sword that teleports its targets into a Demon Realm.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Among The Remnant of the Holy Ice Flower. While not evil, she's the most antagonistic as she's tasked with killing Zero.
  • Tyke-Bomb: Born in the slums and raised as an assassin, she gives everything she has for the kingdom.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Unknowingly assisted Druella by sending her targets into the Demon Realms to be part of her army.

    Lescatie Leadership

Francisca Mistel Lescatie

The Fourth Princess of Lescatie. After Lescatie is invaded and subsequently converted into a Demon Realm, she becomes its Queen.
  • Black Sheep: While her three older siblings became priests and Heroes, she had no talent whatsoever. Worse yet, she was ill since birth and her infertility meant she couldn't be used for political marriages either.
  • The Dog Bites Back: She gets her revenge on her family after what all the abuse she went through as a human.
  • Driven to Suicide: Throws herself out of her bedroom window in an attempt to end her own life, only for Druella to show up and turn her into a Roper Queen.
  • Evil Counterpart: She is what Nunnally could have been if she did not have someone like Lelouch to protect her and give her a normal life.

Priest Noscrim

The real power behind Lescatie, running the corrupt government and military in the shadows for personal power. He employs Zero to do dirty jobs in addition to his achievements against the monsters. He sends Kirsch to assassinate him once he foresee an impending danger but gets killed himself in the process.
  • Deader than Dead: Not even his soul remains after he gets assassinated.
  • Death by Irony: For someone involved in many conspiracies, he gets killed for getting too close to one.
  • Fling a Light into the Future: A rare case for a minor villain. He tells Kirsch about the twelve targets she must hunt down including Zero, with the information slipping to the hands of his group.
  • Go Mad from the Revelation: Calls his assassin to get rid of Zero after learning that something very terrible will happen should he live, and it'll threaten more than just his political power.
  • He Knows Too Much: He is killed after witnessing an impending danger.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: His order to assassinate Zero causes his daughter to turn on him. Not that it matters since he's already dead at this point.
  • Sinister Minister: He is pretty much behind much of the corruption that goes on with the affairs of Lescaite, along with the rest of the nobility.

Castor Bistoa Lescatia

The former king of Lescetie and wife of Franchia and father to Palatine, Isobella, Swanson, and Franscsia before he was overthrown, but now serves as its chief diplomat. As a young man, Castor knew about his kingdom’s problems, so he sought to cleanse the city of rampant corruption upon becoming king. Unfortunately, the actions of the controlling noble families and the Order of the Chief God halted any meaningful effort to reform his beloved kingdom. By the time Zero meets him, he is a tried man who has been sadly reduced to a shell of his former self until his kingdom falls to Druella. After the kingdom falls under the control of Druella and Franscsia, he becomes an ambassador. His old self returns to build better relations with other kingdoms they had once shunned.

He becomes an Incubus shortly after the kingdom's fall by Druella's hand.

  • All for Nothing: Despite Castor being a righteous and good-hearted man upon initially becoming king, all of his efforts to reform Lescetie ended in failure. As a result, he appears older than he is supposed to be because of all of the failed efforts taking their toll upon him. Castor realized how little power he really had.
  • Decadent Court: Effectively what Castor had to deal with, and he tried to change things for the better. Too bad the corrupt priests of the Church and the Aristocratic Families already held far too much power by this time gradually reducing him to a puppet ruler. Trapped in a court filled with treachery and corruption.
  • The Good King: He desperately tried to be this in his younger years. Upon meeting him years later, Lelouch felt pity for Castor, recognizing Lescetie could’ve been a very different kingdom under his rule.
    • Puppet King: Ultimately, this is what he became after many futile attempts to change his kingdom.
  • Happily Married: Despite his marriage to Franchia being purely political, the two were genuinely happy with one another. Franchia even supported her husband to reform the kingdom, and even after all of these attempts failed.
  • Heroic Lineage: Was descended from a hero who had driven the monsters from the lands where Lescatie would be founded.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Averted due to the aristocratic families and the Chruch holding more power than him. Although he tried to change things for the better, his effortlessness left him a tried and bitter man in the end.
  • Universally Beloved Leader: He gains this upon becoming the diplomat of Lescatie under Druella and Franscsia. His original passion for doing good is revived upon giving up the throne and the kingdom no longer under its aristocrats’ corrupt control. So much so that Druella acknowledges that had Lescetie been under his rule from the start, Druella never would've had a reason to invade the kingdom.

Franchia Reinel Lescatie

The former Queen of Lescatie and the wife of Castor, originally the daughter of the Reinel Household who held influence with the Order of the Chief God’s headquarters. Despite their marriage being one of political convenience, the two genuinely loved each other dearly. Like her husband, their efforts to reform the kingdom took a toll on both of them.

She is turned into a Youko during the fall of Lescatie.

  • Fox Folk: Ends up a Youko after the kingdom falls to Druella.
  • Happily Married: Franchia loved her husband despite their marriage being arranged through politics. She even tried to help him reform the kingdom and supported him until all of their efforts failed. Their failures ultimately took a toll on them both, leaving them frequently mentally and physically exhausted.
  • The High Queen: Was this when she and her husband tried to reform the kingdom in their younger years until they gave up.
  • Perfectly Arranged Marriage: Franchia was the subject of an arranged marriage to Castor, but she and Castor genuinely loved each other deeply.

Swanson Mistel Lescatie

The twin sister of Isobella and Franscsia’s older sister by one year. Unlike her warrior sister and her magically gifted twin, Swanson found herself naturally talented to be a Priestess of the Chief God.

  • The Ace: Like her other sisters, except for Francisca, Swanson became this as a healer and Priestess of the Chief God. This was due to hearing the Chief God’s voice at a very young age, which was a sign of her worthy to become a Priestess.
  • All-Loving Heroine: Swanson is basically this and always tries to help others and heals them.
  • Daddy's Girl: She stayed by her father’s side even as things looked grim when Druella came.
  • Last Stand: She was ultimately the last one left once Druella defeated the rest of her sisters. Sadly her efforts to protect herself didn’t last long.
  • Light Is Good: Unlike most of its corrupt priests, Swanson genuinely wants to help people as a priestess of the Chief God. Perhaps being the only good-natured and compassionate member of the church within Lescetie besides Sasha.
  • Nun Too Holy: Averted, unlike Sasha, she seems to have no fighting skills when cornered by Druella, who breaks her barrier before turning her into a monster.
  • White Mage: Swanson lacked Isobella’s gift for magic, but she made up for it by using the powers granted to her by the Chief God as a Priestess. She could heal others and project holy barriers to repel evil.

Isobella Mistel Lescatie

The second of King Castor’s daughters. Unlike her older sister, who became a priestess, Isobella found herself to be naturally gifted in the use of magic. She has pursued becoming a powerful mage through training, making her the more level-headed and calm among her siblings.

  • The Ace: Discovered to be naturally gifted with magic, so Isobella pursued becoming one of the kingdom’s most powerful magic users by the time she was eighteen years old. Few people could match her in magic, with Zero being among the rare few who could best her.
  • And I Must Scream: Isobella is caught by her younger sister and tossed into the waiting arms and tentacles of the Roper Maids. She doesn’t end up a Roper, but her scream left the implication she was expecting this fate.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: Ends of as an Owl Mage by Druella’s hand.
  • The Spock: Slightly Averted, but she is the more intellectual and composed of her sisters.
  • Squishy Wizard: Despite her impressive skills with magic and how she was dishing out the most damage during the kingdom’s last stand in the throne room Isobella was the first to be taken down. She is skilled in long-range combat, but her close-quarters combat skills are lacking, allowing Francisca to sneak attack her to remove her as a threat.

Palatine Mistel Lescatie

The third daughter of King Castor Bistoa Lescatia and Queen Franchia Reinel Lescatie daughters striving to become a warrior. A born prodigy as a warrior known for besting more experienced knights and instructors by the time she was thirteen.

  • The Ace: Palatine is a naturally born warrior who was defeating more experienced knights in combat by the time she was thirteen. By the time she is nineteen, she is among the most formidable warriors Lelouch had faced despite being only a mock battle.
  • Action Heroine: Palatine was aiming to become this before Druella came along.
  • Amazonian Beauty: Due to her upbringing and training as a warrior, even as she received the Blessing of the Hero from the Chief God.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: She is the Princess of Lescatie and a warrior defeating more seasoned knights before she was a teenager.
  • Berserk Button: She cares deeply for all of her siblings and will protect them, so harming them in any way will provoke her anger.
  • Blood Knight: has shades of this sometimes, especially when a fight gets heated.
  • Determinator: One of her best-known traits, even as she was fighting against hopeless odds, Palatine kept fighting. Even after Palatine was seized by Druella, she kept fighting until the bitter end.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her desire to protect her sisters and her anger resulting from seeing them in danger cause her to become blind to all danger. This allowed Druella to get a sneak attack on her while battling Francisca as she gained the upper hand over the Roper Queen.
  • Lady of War: She is a Princess and one of Lescatie’s most skilled warriors and swordswomen.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Palatine is noted to be the tallest of her sisters, with a powerful physique to boot.

    Others

Sasha Fullmoon

A former hero who runs an orphanage within the slums. She secretly houses monster children in a safe house and provides information to the monsters. As a consequence, she is unable to listen to the Chief God she followed, making her vulnerable to corruption.
  • Adaptational Expansion: Was Alameria's caretaker after the loss of her parents.
  • Face–Heel Turn/Faith–Heel Turn: The result of being unable to communicate with the Chief God ever since she questioned her beliefs and helped the monsters.
  • The Mole: Leaked information to the monsters while helping some escape the Order.

Lilia Filmlight

A young girl from the non-canonical Baphomet Complex story. She's the owner of the "Filmlight's Odds and Ends" shop that continues to get business despite the current economic state of Lescatie. She ends up getting turned into a Baphomet during the invasion of Lescatie.
  • Berserk Button: Do not mistake her for a little kid. See below.
  • Foil: To Nunnally in a sense, due to her deep relationship with her older brother.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Sleeps a lot whenever her brother is not around, or nobody comes to her shop.
  • Older Than They Look: Despite looking like a little kid, she is actually sixteen years old. She does not take kindly those who think otherwise.

Eristia Vitral

The female lead from the first Another Story of the Fallen Maidens games. She is currently the last Hero of Lescatie yet to become a monster.
  • Arranged Marriage: Was in one with Zero to create children who inherited his immunity to demonic mana.
  • Doomed by Canon: Still ends up a succubus once she obtains the Sword of Truth, except there are two Eristias this time around.
  • Evil Twin: At least the canon one, compared to the other.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Initially, she was acquainted with Lelouch just through an Arranged Marriage and a reserve heroine for the Ice Flower. Her admiration for Zero, however, resulted in splitting herself in two, with one being canon while the other pursues Lelouch.
  • The Last Of Her Kind: The last Hero of Lescatie who is still human, until she gets Darkleim.
  • Literal Split Personality: As a result of loving both Zero and Yuriy, she literally split in two when she became a succubus. The one who loved Yuriy is under Druella's wing. The other who loves Zero, however, joins Asura Mythra.
  • Shadow Archetype: Her canon self with her new self. The succubus who loves Zero seems to maintain some gracefulness and innocence, inspired by his achievements. The canon one under Druella, on the other hand, loses all sense of dignity and restraint.

Yuriy Karelstein

Eristia's long-lost childhood friend. When they were in the same orphanage together, they made a promise that they would be together once Eristia was finished becoming a Hero. He is completely left in the dark that Eristia was actually brainwashed into forgetting about him and their promise.

Long before the events of the Sword of Truth, Yuriy met Zero while peeking on Eristia's sparring match with Koyoi. This short meeting with the Black Knight would diverge his character, making him more skeptical about the new society and a person of interest for the Apocalypse Cult.

Beatrix

A soldier of Lescatie based on the Until She Falls story. She is the Sole Survivor who barely escaped the fall of both the kingdom and its final camp that fell under Eristia. She becomes the Token Human of Asura's diplomatic party after being captured by Greilia.
  • Amazonian Beauty: Greilia notes how she's very toned with chiseled abs due to training since childhood.
  • Badass Normal: She's not blessed as a Hero, instead trained herself every day to be on par with said Heroes.
  • Heroic Build: See Amazonian Beauty, but she is ripped, which has made her self-conscious about her feminine traits.
  • Sole Survivor: The last human in Lescatie who did not turn into a monster.
  • Token Human: Of Asura Mythra's diplomatic mission to Earth.

Zipangu

    Amanomiya Clan

In General

A famous clan that is known throughout Zipangu and beyond as monster-slayers. Trained since five years old, each clan member is a hardened hunter trained in both combat and magic. However, the Amanomiya Clan is very controlling of its members. Each one is carefully conditioned to always put the clan’s needs first before their own. Everything, including who each clan member will marry, is decided for them after they are born.

The Amanomiya Clan is demolished by the Demon Lord Lilith after their assassins unknowingly attack her husband.

  • Arranged Marriage: Upon birth, a marriage between clan members is decided so those within the clan cannot say otherwise.
  • Badass Family: Despite their controlling traditions, their training methods have undoubtedly produced the most dangerous and effective monster hunters, at least until Lilith came knocking.
  • Big, Screwed-Up Family: Tasogare pretty much calls the Amanomiya Clan this over its controlling traditions and denying everyone within it the ability to live as they wish. Even more so how none of them knew anything of relationships and such because of it.
  • The Clan: the Amanomiya Clan is basically this consisting of dozens of different families associated with one another.
  • Feuding Families: Following their grandfather’s demise, Koyoi and Shinonome ended up leading different factions within the clan. Sadly the sisters have no control over their followers, so they each end up having to weather assassinations. This would be a significant factor in Koyoi’s abandonment of the clan.
  • Ki Manipulation: Every member of the clan has been taught this able to refine and control their own mana for use of magic and enhancing physical prowess.
  • The Power of Family: Slightly Averted, but this solely applies to Koyoi and her sisters, who love and care for one another very much. In fact, Koyoi is noted to be the most fiercely protective of her siblings.
  • Raised by Grandparents: Following their parents’ deaths, Koyoi and her sisters were raised and trained by their grandfather. When they reached five, all of them endured training from hell from sunrise to sundown to shape them into the next heirs of the family.
  • Thicker Than Water: Basically, the clan reinforces this on their members’ unconditional loyalty to the clan and its traditions. To them, their traditions mean everything.
  • Training from Hell: Every member of the clan is put through this once they are old enough.

Koyoi Amanomiya/"Rei"

“Is there a way for me to visit this world then? I would like to see it with my own eyes.”
The middle sister of the Amanomiya clan. Caught in a family dispute to inherit the clan's leadership, she left the family to search for her younger sibling. She ends up running into Zero, making them close acquaintances, and bringing her to Lescatie long before she did in canon.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: While she’s unaware of it due to her upbringing, she gets very close to Lelouch when she has the chance, especially when other girls are involved.
  • Defector from Decadence: Abandons the clan after her supporters continued their assassination attempts on her older sister.
  • First Kiss: With Lelouch, who is his second after Wilmarina.
  • Meaningful Name: Takes up the nickname "Rei," which means "zero" in Japanese.
  • No Social Skills: Due to her upbringing, she isn't good at expressing things to other people.
  • Odd Friendship: With Lelouch, considering where he comes from.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives one of these to her retainers when they continue to pursue her.
Koyoi:: “I abandoned you all because you attacked my sister without my approval. What kind of leader can I be if none of you would listen to me? Even worse, you killed innocent people who had nothing to do with this! (assumes combat stance) None of you will go unpunished for this.”
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: Due to her upbringing, she doesn't understand or comprehend her feelings for Lelouch. This leads to her having her First Kiss with Lelouch.

Shinonome Amanomiya

The oldest of the Amanomiya Siblings and is considered one of the strongest members of her clan. Unlike Koyoi, who focused on the clan’s more offensive heavy techniques, Shinonome learned their more defensive and single-target techniques. After Koyoi’s departure, Shinonome held the title of leader, if in name only, until Lilith came.

  • Arranged Marriage: Like Koyoi, she was set to marry someone, a decision made when she was born per clan traditions. Fortunately, with Lilith crushing the clan and defeating her, this has been averted, so unlike Fallen Maidens canon Shinonome is still single.
  • Barrier Warrior: She learned the defensive-oriented techniques of the Amanomiya Clan.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Like Koyoi, Shinonome cares for her sisters a great deal and will protect them with her life if she must.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Basically what Lilith did to her and, by extension, of the Amanomiya Clan as a whole when she came seeking retaliation for her husband being attacked.
  • Defector from Decadence: After being soundly defeated by Lilith, she willingly becomes an Inari fueled by her deep-rooted resentment of the Amanomiya Clan.
  • Little Bit Beastly: As an Inari, she gains six fluffy foxtails and fox ears.
  • Mythology Gag: In Fallen Brides, it’s implied Koyoi had returned home to save her sister by transforming her into a monster. It was never known what she was turned into, but she would instead become an Inari just as Koyoi did near the end.
  • Puppet King: A Clan leader version of it, but even after becoming the Amanomiya Clan leader, she has no real power and is just a glorified figurehead. This ended once Lilith came.

Tasogare Amanomiya

The youngest of the Amanomiya Sisters, although her life wasn’t under strict control as her older sisters. Nevertheless, she resented the life she was growing up in before running away following her grandfather’s death. Still, she was accompanied by her personal attendant, who would later become her husband. She willingly becomes a Nekomata by Lilith’s hand, following a near-death experience at the hands of assassins.

  • The Baby of the Bunch: Tasogare fits this as the youngest of her sisters.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Like her sisters, Tasogare was trained alongside her younger siblings but is implied to be inferior to them in skill. Their grandfather focused more on Koyoi and Shinonome because he taught them for a while before Tasogare was old enough to train.
  • Genki Girl: Is notably more open, emotional, and cheerful than her more serious sisters.
  • Girly Bruiser: Due to her upbringing and implied by her attire Tasogare is quite feminine and out-going while having been trained as a monster hunter.
  • Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: She has shades of this, making her stand out from her sisters, who are rather stoic.
  • Happily Married: Despite her age, she and Bunkichi love each other, especially as the latter risked a LOT by running away with her.
  • Honor-Related Abuse: Thankfully averted, but Tasogare’s departure did not sit well with anyone in the Amanomiya Clan. So she and her attendant were hunted by assassins. They likely seeking to eliminate her as a potential contender for clan leadership as a bonus too.
  • Little Bit Beastly: As a Nekotama, she gains cat-ears, paws replacing her hands and feet, along with twin cat-tails.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: For the longest time, Tasogare, like her sisters, had no idea what love was. She cared for Bunkichi and admits to taking wife classes at Al-Mar to understand love and the concept of relationships. This was because it was deemed that they had no need to know since her husband was to be decided for her.
  • Your Tradition Is Not Mine: Tasogare basically does this by running away and wanting no part of living under a controlling lifestyle.

Dragonia

    Dionola

Queen Dionola

A Red Dragon who serves as the Queen of Dragonia. She is the same one who was locked away by the Great Dragai Empire, a powerful nation that trained commoners to ride Dragons. After being freed by a man named Dell, she rescued him at the time of his execution, eventually resulting in the Empire’s downfall.

    Other Dragons

Dracolinde

Dionola’s younger sister.
  • The Tease: Does this to her older sister, with one instance being wanting to reach Zero before she did.

Alto-Eris

Commander of the Dragon Knights in Dragonia, working part-time as a tour guide. She first encountered Zero when he first visited the land with Levin Dil.
  • Ms. Exposition: Gives off the history of Dragonia as Lelouch's tour guide.

Marietta

One of the champions within Dragonia. She frequently enters the tournament to fight powerful opponents, hoping to find the one she loves. However, she’s also shunned by the rest of her peers due to her status as a cursed dragon.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: She suffered throughout her childhood as a cursed dragon.
  • Shrinking Violet: She finds it difficult to speak to Lelouch, even after he prevents a fight from breaking out between her and some Lizardmen.

Court Alf

    The Seven Divas

Arial

The Diva of Al-Mar.
  • The Ace: She is considered to have the best singing voice, and all of the monsters are envious of her abilities.
  • Ms. Exposition: As a tour guide for Al-Mar.

Lilynanna

A Siren who serves as the Diva of Matori, an island famous for being a pirate haven. Lilynanna was elected a few years ago as the new Diva due to her incredible popularity. She often comes up with gimmicks that scare off her guests more than surprise them, giving her a ton of nicknames.

As one of the few people who knew about Zero’s goals, she is one of the few people who keeps the existence of Earth a secret. That is until Asura Mythra traces his origins and prepares a diplomatic party to reach out to Zero.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: Comes up with weird gimmicks that seem to chase off her guests rather than welcome them.
  • In-Series Nickname: Has several of them: "Pink Storm", "Typhoon Matori", and "Princess of Tempest"
  • Ms. Exposition: As the tour guide for Matori.
  • Pink Is Feminine: Likes pink as her favorite color.
  • Secret-Keeper: Does not tell anyone about Mizuko or the doorway she and Levin discovered. Unitl Asura Mythra shows she knew all along.

Eustine

The current Diva of Nevia who is also the daughter of the island’s first Diva Christine. Noted to be a hard-worker and dedicated actress who has played a wide range of roles. The plays she has stared in has even earned praise and attention across the entire world. Eustine spends her free time training song maidens in acting, singing, and being tour guides for Nevia. She even travels to the other islands spying on loving couples seeking inspiration for the next romantic stage production.
  • Covert Pervert: Unsurprising for a Merrow, but Eustine, however, goes to the other islands and observes couples in love to gain inspiration for new plays and songs. She does also watch those intimately passionate with one another as well.
  • Large Ham: Comes with the territory of being Nevia’s Diva and the best actress on the island.
  • Master Actor: Eustine’s skills at acting put her among the best in the world. Her acting skills, use of makeup, magic, and costumes are so impressive she can even play as a male character like a pirate.
  • Mythology Gag: Not for Eustine specifically, but her mother and father are clearly based upon two Phantom Of The Opera characters; in fact, her mother was named Christine, and her father, Viscount Nevi, is based upon Erik the Phantom. In the setting of MGE, Christine became the first Diva while her husband would become the island’s greatest troupe master.
  • Renaissance Man: Her skills in singing, acting, dressing, and disguising her gender to fulfill specific roles make her this. She trains other singing maidens in singing and studying various topics and subjects in preparation for her role.
  • Serious Business: Eustine takes her duties as both a Diva and an actress very seriously. She is always studying for her upcoming roles and training.

Levin Dil

A Thunderbird who is the newest Diva of Sadia, the most technologically advanced Monster Realm on Midgard. Even after the incident that prompted Zero to leave the monsters and work with the Order, she continues longing for him.

Fulafel

A Flow Kelp who is the Diva of Mira, known for its agriculture and home to many spirits. Her island has numerous districts that have their own "Divas," though she was appointed to represent the island. Fulafel's voice is said to be the most beautiful on the island, though she does a lot of pausing when communicating.

Meivia

A Nereid who serves as the Diva of De Ruya, which acts as Court Alf’s Red Light District. Her Attempted Rape of Lelouch is what prompts him to start his campaign against Lilith, an incident that she regrets even to this day.
  • Create Your Own Hero: While she was tempted by the Siren’s song, her sexual assault on Zero and subsequent injury of Levin prompted the former to begin a war against the monsters.
  • Hooker with a Heart of Gold: Runs what is basically Court Alf’s Red Light District and is affiliated with the Radical Faction. Despite that, she is concerned about Zero and believes she shares responsibility for his new hostility towards the Royal Makai.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Feels responsible for Zero’s resentment towards monsters.
  • Was Once a Man: Originally a young girl trapped in a slave ship. When the other islands were liberated from the Order and war, she got transformed into a Nereid.

Asura Mythra

The Diva of Queen Diana.
  • Crystal Ball: Keeps one in her quarters at Queen Diana to view things from far away. It’s how she manages to learn about Lelouch and Earth.
  • Happily Married: To another unknown character.
  • Secret-Keeper: Downplayed. She's willing to keep everything she learned about Lelouch and his world a secret from Lilith, but she doesn't mind sharing it with those involved in her diplomatic missions.

Difina

The Great Songstress who rules the Seven Islands of Court Alf.
  • Happily Married: To Prince Casper after he opened up to her as a means of reforming himself.

Royal Makai

    Rulers

Lilith

The current ruler of the Royal Makai and Mamono overall, as well as the supposed creator of demonic mana. After a series of coincidences and battles of her own right, she instated herself as the new ruler to the disapproval of the new Chief God. After convincing the Hero sent after her to create a world for humans and monsters, they both injure the Top God in response and completely uplift the monsters into those with a female humanoid appearance.

At the moment, she's working to gather enough energy to rewrite the world again, allowing human children to be born to human/monster couples. Despite being in bed with her husband much of the time, she has become more active, and she does not take kindly to her family members and subordinates antagonizing Zero.

  • Anti-Villain: She has good intentions and wants to create a world where humans and monsters can coexist. However, her methods put her at odds with Lelouch and much of humanity, especially with how her daughters like Druella do things.
  • Big Bad/Big Good: Depending on whose side one is on. She's the one responsible for creating the new demonic mana and uplifting the monsters into their succubi-like forms. However, she is also the source of the new system that Lelouch has problems with, prompting his rebel against her.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Lilith is quite politically astute. As such, she keeps Druella and the Radical Faction on a leash when she realizes they’re making a dangerous enemy out of Zero.

Fallen Hero

    Lilim

Druella

The Fourth Princess of the Demon Realm, Mistress of Lescatie, and leader of the Radical Faction.
  • Awesome by Analysis: Druella accurately predicts where she would find Zero during the invasion of Lescatie. She also concludes with terrifying accuracy that he's not a native of Midgard.
  • Create Your Own Hero: Her exchange with Zero did not help to turn him to the monsters without a fight. Instead, it only strengthened his resolve to confront her and her mother, as well as change their ways of doing things. Lilith does not take this well.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: She respects her mother’s wishes, but as the leader of the Radical Faction, she acts more independently and thinks she can create a better world than her.
  • Evil Counterpart: She's one to Lelouch - both are powerful royalty (former-Royalty in Lelouch's case) who desire to create a better world for their loved ones. The big difference is that Druella's better world would probably count as A Fate Worse Than Death for anyone not aligned with the Mamono cause.
  • Foil:
    • To Lelouch, all the way.
      • Druella is the biggest proponent of her mother's cause and has already caused numerous realms to fall under her banner. Lelouch, meanwhile, stands as the greatest threat to that same cause, especially since he is now immune to the effects of Demonic Energy.
      • Druella has the full support of her family while Lelouch is only supported by his sister, relying upon his Family of Choice.
      • Most of Druella's followers are brainwashed Yes-Women while Lelouch's followers are his True Companions.
      • Druella is unable to comprehend why Lelouch opposes her, while Lelouch understands her and her mother's cause but finds them repugnant.
      • Druella's ultimate goal would result in the functional extinction of mankind, while Lelouch's end goal for Midgard would allow for true coexistence between humans and monsters.
  • I Love You Because I Can't Control You: Why she thinks she has grown feelings over Lelouch. He is the first man to completely resist her and everything she stood for.
  • Yandere: Shows signs of this after failing to defeat Zero during the fall of Lescatie and suffer her first loss against a human male.
  • Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: Druella is played more like this compared to common depictions. Or rather, she sees herself as a heroic figure doing the right thing, based on her father’s personality. However, she fails to understand that she comes off as a villain in the eyes of humans, especially for those on Earth.

Queen of Hearts/Cora

The Third Princess of the Demon Lord and the rule of the Wonderland Spirit Realm

Mari

The tenth princess of the Demon Realm. While she initially runs her own kingdom, she is less concerned about her duties and prefers to go out and see the world.
  • Modest Royalty: Dresses in a casual white outfit and prefers traveling to other realms than rule her own.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Caused the incident at Court Alf that resulted in Meivia’s Attempted Rape of Lelouch and his subsequent lash against her after Levin got injured.

Sabbaths

    Demon Lord Army Sabbath

Bapho-chan

Head of the Sabbath among the Demon Lord’s Army. Few know her actual name, which is reserved for Lilith to know. She serves as The Dragon when her daughters are not involved.
  • The Dragon: Outside of Lilith’s family, she is the top commander of the Demon Lord’s Army.
  • Sinister Scythe: Wields one like the other Baphomets.

    Kuroferuru Sabbath

Kuroferuru

Head of the Black Goat Sabbath, the main Sabbath of the Radical Faction. Known as the Black Goat of Dark Sludge, she is the top commander of Druella’s Army.
  • Co-Dragons: With Lucella to Druella.
  • Foil: To General Darlton, being one of Druella’s Co-Dragons and the closest to Druella within the Radical Faction.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: To Shirokuto, as her Sabbath is more about sex rather than other useful fields of research.
  • Number Two: The leading general of the Radical Faction apart excluding Druella herself.

Lucella

A Baphomet who once acted as a substitute for Kuroferuru in the non-canonical Fallen Brides stories who turned Mimil into a monster. She exists as an assistant for the leader of the same Sabbath.
  • Ascended Extra: Initially a non-canonical character who substituted Kuroferuru in Fallen Brides, now an actual character serving as one of Druella’s Co-Dragons.
  • Co-Dragons: With Kuroferuru to Druella.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: On the receiving end in Lelouch’s Big Damn Heroes moment.
  • Foil: To Guilford, being one of Druella’s Co-Dragons who’s infatuated with her mistress. Of course, hers is a lot more informal than Guilford’s relationship with Cornelia.
  • Love at First Punch: Grows feelings for Zero after he stops her from turning Mimil into a witch.

    Shirokuto Sabbath

Shirokuto

Kuroferuru’s older sister, also known as the White Goat and head of the Sorcerous Sabbath. In contrast to the Goat of Black Sludge, Shirokuto is more interested in studying long-lost magic and sorcery. After the incidents with Zero, she is called upon by her younger sister and Lilith to investigate the doorways leading to Earth.
  • Foil: To her younger sister Kuroferuru. She is more focused on research and developing the monsters' society instead of the usual sexual pleasures that her younger sister's Sabbath is drowned in. She has contrasting white colors to Kuroferuru's black, and is Cool Old Lady instead of the usual Troubling Unchildlike Behavior.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: To Kuroferuru, being less interested in the usual raunchy desires of monsters and more in actual studying.

    Runya Runya Sabbath

Runya Runya

Head of the Library Sabbath, also known as the Sleepy Magical Archive due to her occasional desire to sleep.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Due to not having much magical power, she’s easily exhausted. Not that it keeps her from conducting any research or proceeding with any publications.
  • Oh, Crap!: Her reaction when she finds out Zero can purify demonic mana.

    Greilia Sabbath

Dr. Greilia Little

Head of the Medical Sabbath, which studies pharmacomancy.
  • The Medic: Leader of the Medical Sabbath.
  • Token Good Teammate: Greilia is one of the more rational Baphomets who does not believe that Druella and her Baphomet servants turning everyone into monsters and having them live in sexual depravity is a good idea. She even takes of an Order soldier and does her best to keep her human while treating her.
  • White Mage: A demonic example, who specializes in healing and hieromancy, while also being more rational and good at heart.

    Marune Sabbath

Marune

Head of the Farming Sabbath.

    Momonika Sabbath

Momonika

Head of the Playground Sabbath.

    Ropurotto Sabbath

Ropurotto

Head of the Beast Sabbath.

Polove

    Saphirette Spherica

Saphirette Spherica

A Dark Matter who rules Polove, a land initially barren and lacking any strategic value, now a green Demon Realm lush with agriculture. She acts as a representative for the “Wandering Scholar,” assuring him in publishing her books in exchange for advertising herself to look for a husband.
  • Elemental Powers: Has the power of the four elements due to making contracts with each affiliated spirit.
  • Was Once a Man: She used to be a human girl who wished to save her country. When the Order refused, she turned to the monsters and fused with a Dark Matter.

Earth

    Britannian Imperial Family

Clovis la Britannia

The Third Prince of Britannia and Viceroy of Area 11. Clovis is less concerned about governing and more about spending time with the elites who live there. Little do people know that he's doing experiments involving C.C. and even studying magical phenomena through an offshoot known as the Wired Program.

  • Break the Haughty: The battle at Shinjuku leaves in a semi-catatonic state before his capture.
  • Never Live It Down: The whole ordeal of him being kidnapped and the world thinking he was dead has left him very bitter. It comes to the point that he wonders if even the media, which he mainly focused on for his reputation, thinks he's better off dead.

    Britannian Military

Bartley Asprius

Clovis's top commander in the military and head of the Code R Research Team, as well as its offshoots.
  • Butt-Monkey: Like in canon, hardly anything goes well for him.
  • Irony: Although forced, he attempted to use Suzaku as a scapegoat for Clovis's disappearance. Once Zero comes and rescues Suzaku while heading Clovis back, Bartley ends up on the receiving end.
  • Put on a Bus: Like in canon, he's arrested and sent back to the Homeland after his disgrace.
  • The Scapegoat: Becomes one for Clovis after Zero gives the Prince back to the authorities.

Jeremiah Gottwald

  • Jerkass Has a Point: He still keeps Suzaku in custody and keeps pressing him to confess any dirt that had on him. Although he's doing this to further advance the career of the Purebloods, he's right that Suzaku was in the center of all the unusual stuff happening in Shinjuku that makes it impossible not to question him.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: He refuses to bandwagon on Bartley's attempt to blame Suzaku for Clovis's disappearance, despite his faction being about ridding the military of Honorary Britannians. His given reason is that the information came from Colonel Madd, who not only also commands a military unit composed solely of Honorary Britannians but also expects them to join in. He becomes right once Lelouch reveals Clovis is alive, effectively ruining Bartley. Jeremiah and the others get rewarded for this by becoming part of Clovis's new inner circle.
  • Smart Ball: Avoids his fate following Suzaku’s arrest by stepping out of the political ploy.

Villetta Nu

Kewell Soresi

    Camelot

Suzaku Kururugi

  • The Scapegoat: Like in canon, he is picked as one so the Britannian government could save face.
  • Secret-Keeper: Tries his hardest not to reveal about Lelouch when interrogated by the Purebloods.

Lloyd Asplund

Cecile Crommy

  • Mildly Military: Due to being in an Irregular unit, she's very lax regarding military regulations.

    Irregulars

In General

Colonel Madd

Alice

Lucretia

    Honorary Britannians

Asuna Yumemiya

A character from the conceptual Succubus Heroine Eroge game. A childhood friend of Suzaku and Lelouch before the war in Japan. Initially a powerful family, they lost influence when Kirihara took power, and Asuna was left with Authority in Name Only until she became of age. She still recognizes Lelouch despite not seeing him in years.
  • Ascended Extra: Originally a character from a concept game that never got off the ground, now standing as a fleshed-out character.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: Clearly she has a crush on Lelouch, but she can’t bring herself to say it to him. Complicating matters is the fact he’s Britannian and she’s Japanese, knowing that some may not look at such a relationship kindly.
  • Genki Girl: Cheerful, but shy.
  • Shrinking Violet: Not as much as Sakuya but definitely there.

Kei Inui

A character from Succubus Heroine Eroge, a tomboy who has become an Honorary Britannian along with her friend Sakuya.
  • Ascended Extra: Just like the other Succubus Heroine Eroge characters, she gets more background and appearance than merely a concept character.
  • Tomboy: To the point that she’s worried about having no feminine traits at all.

Sakuya Aima

A character from Succubus Heroine Eroge, a shy timid girl who is friends with Kei.
  • Ascended Extra: Just like the other Succubus Heroine Eroge characters, she gets more background and appearance than merely a concept character.

Enishi Isami

A character from Succubus Heroine Eroge, who runs the only dojo in her city. Lelouch is the only Britannian to graduate from her dojo and he took training to swordplay from her.

  • Heir to the Dojo: Runs her family’s dojo and is a professional kendo practitioner.

Riri Tomari

A character from Succubus Heroine Eroge, who is a Child Prodigy. She attended a university despite her age, which allowed her to become proficient in computers. She's known in the underground as someone who sells programs to monitor Britannian communication networks.
  • Child Prodigy: Attended university at an early age and is a genius at hacking.
  • Hacker Cave: Has one under her basement.

    Ashford Academy

The Student Council President and granddaughter of the Academy's Headmaster.
  • It Runs in the Family: She takes her grandfather's desire to throw wild parties every night on a whim.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: She insists that Lelouch is building up a harem. She naturally gets slapped by Wilmarina, especially when she did it in front of a twelve-year-old and someone who suffered a traumatic moment involving harems.

Others

    Other Worlds

Brokkr, Eitri, and Sindri

Three brothers responsible for making Lelouch's unique weapons and armor.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: Although she doesn't have any threatening abilities, anyone who harms her would bring the wrath of all sea creatures elsewhere.
  • Shrinking Violet: A natural characteristic for all Umi Osho. She gets better when she's with other people for longer amounts of time.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Her presence results in the monsters of Court Alf learning how to open the doorways to Earth.

Koehtril Mattare

A dark elf from the land of Svartalheim. He and his tribe were in charge of mediating the light elves and dwarves who came to work in Helldunkel where they constructed the Staltalnr, ancient Humongous Mecha preceding Knightmare Frames. His family was killed when a man looking and sounding like Lelouch came to his village, slaughtered nearly everyone, and made off with one of the two prototypes. Left with the remaining weapon, the Nisse, he is dead on revenge against the one responsible.
  • Expy: He is basically a dark elf version of Ray Lundgren. His mecha, the Nisse, and the code words to activate are even a reflection of the Volkein.
  • More Dakka: He and his machine focus solely on ranged weapons.
  • Sole Survivor: Of the massacre at Helldunkel, while the rest got turned in reanimated corpses.

SPOILER

An ancient goddess who preceded the original Chief God and the mastermind behind Ragnarok, which left most worlds in ruin. Although she is seemingly gone, her legacy is often talked about among the original cast.
  • The Heavy: Created the prototype for Lilith's mana, which turned humans into monsters akin to The Heartless.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name is one of several for Kali, a Hindu goddess and an early depiction of Shiva, the goddess of destruction.
  • Not Quite Dead: The existence of the Apostles and Zenkor show that she is still alive.
  • Villainous Legacy: Although Kalika is no longer in the picture, her creations have outlived her and formed much of the story's setting.

    The Apostles

In General

A group of twelve mortals who directly serve Kalika. Composed of all types of races, they are the arm of the goddess, carrying out her will of absolute destruction. They are also responsible for creating the Zenkor and bending tools and people to their will.

Each Apostle shows its status by being grated one of twelve unique weapons.

  • Apocalypse Cult: They operate like one, serving a Goddess of Destruction that seeks to destroy and recreate the world.
  • The Corrupter: Like monsters, they can transform weapons and people into beings of their choosing. For living things, they can either make them their Servants or warp them into Zenkor.
  • Kill the God: Due to the lack of a Power Limiter and being empowered by Kalika herself, they are powerful enough to rival the Demon Lord and her Lilim. Havi and Lelouch even hint that during Ragnarok, they were able to slay Gods on their own.
  • Outside-Context Problem: According to Havi, not even Lilith is prepared to face them, let alone Kalika. And that excludes the fact that a simple Zenkor tore apart Shinjuku Ghetto and nearly all of Clovis’s forces before Lelouch and his party stopped it.

Yuujo

A two-tailed inari who stands as the second Apostle and wielder of the Chainwhip. She's seen with smoke around her, blowing a kiseru pipe when in meetings.

Wilhelm Gorchov

An Order Paladin who works with the Cardinal of Eden Vital to boost the island nation's position. He is actually the third Apostle.

Alicia Kouta Kouta

The fourth Apostle and wielder of the Rod. She is the most carefree among the group who has a sexually sadistic streak behind her cheerful smile.

Era Liba

The sixth Apostle and wielder of the Ringblade. She is the more nervous and emotional of the twins, always wanting to impress her caretaker.

Efterra Liba

The seventh Apostle and wielder of the Shield. He is the more calm and stoic of the team, not caring much about the Order despite working under a Paladin.

Kurogane

The eighth Apostle, who rarely speaks.
  • The Quiet One: Does not speak despite participating in meetings.

Cardinal of Eden Vital

The ruler behind the Holy Island of Eden Vital, an unusual Order state located well beyond most lands and works like a technocracy than a theocracy. As the tenth Apostle, he works behind the scenes to undermine the Order and fulfill Kalika’s wishes.
  • Casting a Shadow: Uses shadows as a means of teleportation.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: While he cooperated with the other Apostles, they are well aware that he has his own plans and would not hesitate to stop him.
  • Mythology Gag: His position and the land he represents is akin to that of Rolo from the Code Geass spin-off, Nightmare of Nunnally. The culprit behind the attack on Helldunkel, who looks and sounds like Lelouch draws further parallels to him.
  • Sinister Minister: Collaborates with the Nebulous Evil Organization that seeks to destroy the world.
  • Summon Magic: Brought the canon version of Wilmarina into the fic to disable Lescatie’s barrier.

    Eden Vital

Endra Vendt

The Chancellor of Eden Vital, who participates in meetings with fellow Order clergy in place of the Cardinal. He's the only one apart from the Cardinal himself to know exactly what's going on.

    Zenkor

Zenkor

Long ago, Kalika created a type of energy that corrupted living things and turned them into monsters. Unlike Lilith's variation, which turned them into succubi and incubi, this turned people into creatures of destruction. Controlled by the Apostles and other minions, their sole desire and purpose is the total destruction of all life.

    SPOILER CHARACTER

Succubus!Wilmarina

"I'll do whatever I take so we can love each other, and I want this. And I know you want this, too."
A succubus copy of Wilmarina Noscrim, based on the canonical one from Fallen Maidens. She was summoned by Eden Vital with the use of Summoning Magic, which allowed the invasion of Lescatie to continue earlier than normal.
