Find a Trope:

Hello,
In Zebra Girl, Crystal, a perfectly normal human, gains the ability to "smell souls" (exhibit A, exhibit B), though so far she was only seen "smelling" the soul of her friend Sandra, who became a demon (the eponymous Zebra Girl). The thing is, I'm not quite sure which trope would be relevant:
- The Nose Knows (her boyfriend, Wally, is a werewolf, so this trope applies to him, no questions here; however, he remembers her actual "odor", while Crystal specifically remembers her "soul").
- Psychic Powers
- Super-Senses
- Detect Evil
I hope you will be able to help me here.

I'm (fairly) new here so I figured I'd go here before YKTTW.
Do we have an article for the (generally comic-specific) tendency of characters to unite handy/offending objects with the heads of annoying characters as seen in this example with the keyboard:
http://www.gocomics.com/foxtrot/2004/03/18
There are several others from Foxtrot (sweater shoved into Jason's nose, keyboard in Peter's mouth), and I've seen the trope in Garfield (the one where John asks "is the kitty warm?" and has his head stuffed in a coke bottle) and I'm pretty sure I've seen it in Zits.
I searched for the conspicuous trope names and I read the tropes page for Foxtrot but I didn't find it.

Please help me find a trope
Here, Durkon goes on about how he hates the undead. (To the point of overdoing an Overly Long Gag.)
Here, Durkon becomes an undead.
There's got to be a trope for that, but I can't remember what it is. There's nothing that looks close on his character page, and, well... Main has a LOT of tropes. Nine subpages A-Z. So could someone help, please?

In Aikonia, the variety of magic called "Arcana" is sealed away. There's an establishing shot of the casket in which it is supposedly sealed, and I noticed the word "Arcana", if the plaque became less legible over time (as a Time Skip ensues), could be misread as "Aikonia".
Not sure if this is intentional, and the setting itself is also called "Aikonia". Just wondering if there's a suitable trope here somewhere.

So, years ago, El Goonish Shive made this joke. It was, as far as I know, intended as a one-off which would not be followed up on.
More recently, though, it became necessary for Nanase's magic to become common knowledge, and that joke was used to skip the explanation, which, as Dan pointed out on Twitter, would have distracted from the ongoing plot.
Are there any tropes in this aside from the obvious Call-Back or am I just trying too hard to see patterns in things I find mildly interesting?

Do we have something for use of nonstandard punctuation to show that people are talking in a different language that's being Translation Conventioned into English? Example from Terra with a pair of Azatoth speaking their own langauge, rendered using angle brackets instead of quotation marks.

When a detail is introduced, then accidentally contradicted. In Girl Genius, a character is shown to have recently replaced his hand with a mechanical prosthetic. On the next page, he opens a bottle with both flesh-and-blood hands visible.

do we have a name for this? http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0737.html

Questionable use of Getting Crap Past the Radar on Vampire Girl (as in, I wasn't aware webcomics had a radar):
- Getting Crap Past the Radar:
- Levana suffers from withdrawals from blood much like an alcoholic, and even resorts to drinking Bloody Mary’s, and Sangria as placebos to at least take the edge off her relapses.
- Also, her favorite web comic? “Furry Lesbian Gamers”.
Thoughts?

The Medium says "Webcomic" because that's where I got my example from, but I suppose it could be any medium.
Anyway, do we have a trope where the characters themselves try their hand at drawing the series/work they're in? It's sorta like Breaking the Fourth Wall, but at the same time, it's definitely different.
My example is in this Gunnerkrigg Court strip, which is (sorta in-universe) drawn by Robot and Shadow.

I have noticed several webcomics where the artists have gone back and re-visited earlier parts of their work and re-drawn them (either single strips or entire chapters even). The reason they do this is usually their own Art Evolution: They have become unsatisfied/embarrassed with their often amateurish early work. Sometimes this is done in conjunction with their comic going into print.
This can overlap with a Re-Cut or even George Lucas Altered Version, actually changing the story, but usually this is simply an update of the artwork. Do we have a trope for that?

This comic page features an image of that webcomic's own forum as the ship's message board. It is not an actual screenshot as the user name of the posters have been altered slightly (e.g. "Veksus" in the comic was "Vexus" on the real forum) and the thread titles are made up (although in the spirit of the respective posters). Also, the design of the forum has changed since the image was drawn. Would that be a quite obscure Shout-Out or maybe a really weird way of Breaking the Fourth Wall?

I can't tell if there even is a trope for this. In Girl Genius, there is a Love Triangle. However, instead of a typical Love Triangle, which involves Hint Dropping and Cannot Spit It Out, the characters all know who is in love with who and... nobody cares. The main character is in love with two guys, they are each in love with her, they all know this, but no awkwardness ensues. The situation doesn't even get a lampshade, beyond minor characters betting on the outcome.
Is there a trope in there somewhere?

There's a webcomic author named "H0ly" who does something interesting with her characters: All of the main characters in her comic Mokepon have/will appear in other stories as different characters. (For example, the Masked Man from Mokepon is slated to hold a main character spot in her new comic "Rumplestiltskin.") This seems to me a weird blend of Intercontinuity Crossover and Hero of Another Story, and in some cases it's a not-so-poorly-disguised Poorly Disguised Pilot, but they aren't the same character in the different stories... Is there a sort of trope where the same character will play different roles in other works, similar to this example?

A character undergoes some sort of transformation, for example, they are turned into a vampire. However, rather than give into shock or horror, they fully accept and are even excited for their new transformation. Note: This wasn't just limited to vampires, that was just part of it.

I'm not sure if this fits under Glasgow Grin, Slasher Smile or Cheshire Cat Grin. A character in Goblins has transparent skin around his mouth, meaning his teeth are always visible.
Is this being Literal Minded or is their a more specific troupe for this example?
