Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Fudge is delicious.
Yes it is. I think my favorite is from the House on the Rock. :)
This random thought occurred to me earlier. Which prince could be considered more villainous: Humperdinck or Hans?

FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantProbably the first time this has ever happened, but having an Imagine Spot of Daybreaker quoting Senator Armstrong word for word. That includes the speech. The end result is glorious, just because both of them are Deviled Hams.
I’m putting this out there to ensure this does not become another Big-Lipped Alligator Moment, for it is just to unforgettable in my eyes. Having one of your favorite villains referencing another favorite is something that almost never happens. (Someone please make a fanart or comic of this. This will make my day.)

Wait a second: How on earth did I even get here? What does it mean when your package is in Matraville NSW, and that was the last tracking update from Dec 13?

Ugh, I feel like I've had nightmares for three nights in a row.
What is this feeling, so sudden and new?
Is it true or false to say that the australopithecines looked like big chimpanzees?
I like to keep my audience riveted.Which one should I make: salted caramel fudge or Jaffa Nutella fudge?

This day has gone by too fast for my liking. :(

-hugs Ferret- Best of luck to you. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted. So, it's a bit early to be talking about it, but the 50th anniversary of Woodstock will be August 15-17 of next year. And it has me thinking...
Woodstock was very much a product of The '60s, which before today were held as the archetype for "strange times we live in." Nixon came to power, prominent public figures were murdered in public, the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, Stonewall, rabid anti-communism and the hand-in-hand dismantling of Johnson's Great Society, Tim Leary, the Second Wave of Feminism... I could go on for as long as I've got tabs open, but I think you get the idea. And of course, art is influenced by the real world, even if it doesn't depict it. This is probably most visible in the many, many, many, many, many* anti-war songs, the rise of Psychedelic Rock, and the hippie movement. And if watching Woodstock is anything to go by, those three were in abundance at the festival.
So the festival happened. I'm skipping over a bunch of steps, but they're not relevant to the topic I was thinking about.
So now we come to the current day, which is just as, if not more turbulent than the 60's. In many ways, you could say History Repeats: unpopular wars, a scandal-ridden populist takes office after significantly more popular, but viciously criticized president, a rise in recreational drug use... you see where I'm going with this. But I'm not saying history repeats itself perfectly; the internet didn't exist back in '69, rap music was only a faint glimmer of a good idea, the political parties have drifted even further to the right, and the 24-hour news cycle has largely taken over mainstream news coverage when it didn't exist back then. And several other problems, both new and old-but-previously-ignored have popped up. Immigration crisis, climate change, online harassment, the annual mass shootings in America, the 2008 recession, the alt-right, LGBT-related hate crimes... I could keep going for as long as I've got my eyes open, but you've already lived through a fair chunk of them and thus probably don't need me to tell you about them.
So where am I going with this pseudo-essay? Well, the thought I had in my head was "Hmm. A modern Woodstock might work, if done right." 'Done right,' in this context meaning "get some modern acts to sing/rap/perform their protest songs of contemporary events." Only, they already kinda tried that with Woodstock 94 and 99. The former was heavily criticized for being expensive, poorly managed* , and more commercial than the original festival, and the latter had chronic looting, arson, and rape problems, effectively tarnishing the Woodstock name from that point on. So I'm a bit skeptical that it'll actually happen.
Then there's also the Seinfeld Is Unfunny problem: Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Burning Man, Roskilde, Glastonbury, Pol'and'Rock, Pitchfork Music Festival... most of those follow or build upon the Woodstock template (hell, Roskilde, Glastonbury, and Pol'and'Rock were formed in the wake of the event, and the latter of them was originally called "Woodstock Poland"). How would Woodstock 50 stand out from them, apart from brand name recognition?
I've gone on too long by forum post standards, so here's the short of it: Woodstock turns 50 next year, and I was wondering how the festival would celebrate.

Wait a second: How on earth did I even get here?I have random thoughts, but for some reason or other I can't think of any to type up.
I wanted to say something about one of my Aichis or something, but I don't know what to say.
This funny random thought occurred to me. For some reason, I feel kind of tempted to make the title of my next vacation story, the one that'll take place after Volume VIII, Around the World: Part Deux. XD ^_^;;

Good thing Woolworths lets you fix your online order if you've messed something up. I almost had to force Dad into taking me to my local one tomorrow, rather than going with Mum on Monday.
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantIn this past year, I’ve noticed a trend on this wiki where more and more characters have been given their own individual character pagesnote . On one hand, I have seen such pages that have allowed for more comprehensive and interesting overviews of characters and, more importantly, are necessary to contain the large number of tropes that such characters have. However, a lot of the time, it feels like characters are given their own pages simply to make them seem bigger and more important, regardless of whether they have enough tropes to really warrant a whole page. My advice on this practice would be to try to add enough tropes to the character’s profile until giving them their own page is the most practical option, instead of just giving it to them for the sake of it. I think that it’s a lot more rewarding that way.
