What should we call this index? Trivia? Trivia Tropes? Trivia Index?

Actually, Trivia might be a good choice because it's current purpose seems to be to describe the Trivia tab. We could expand and re-purpose it to explain how we are expanding and re-purposing the tab.

Aren't we supposed to be emphasizing that these things aren't really tropes at all, but rather a related but distinct phenomenon? Trivia Tropes seems to go counter to that.

It does. That's why I'm leaning more towards just using Trivia.

Other possible suggestions for the Trivia space: Fan Nickname, Killer App, Vaporware, Development Hell, What Could Have Been, and Schedule Slip

Fake Nationality and its subtropes probably belong here (cases where they don't will generally fall under Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping, Not Even Bothering with the Accent, or Actor Allusion).

132 is the rudest number.

Ok, back on topic. Here are this list of all the tropes that have been proposed to go on the Trivia page. Now, I don't think all of these fit, but I'm including them for completeness sake. I think what we could do is have a crowner and put the ones that are in the green on the page. Something like that.

Nice.

Hmm. Word of Dante and Word of God seem to belong to this category, too, at least when used as tropes by themselves and not to add information or weight to another trope.

Added. And yes, these are for using the tropes themselves in the lists. Not when modifying other tropes.

I can unlock the Trivia page for a better description. It isn't meant to be an index page, though. That is Trivia Index. It is automatic for the namespace.

We don't want it to be an index of trivia pages. We want it to be an index of the 'tropes' that are really just Trivia and thus belong on trivia pages.

Ah.

What is wanted here, then, is an index that also acts to put a 'trivia' banner on the listed pages. We can do that. I'm on the coding for it right now.

I'll add it to the list. Does anyone have any others or should we make a crowner to pick which ones go on?

Hold on: If Shout-Out is a "trivia", does that mean we'll need to move all the examples on the shout out sub-pages to the trivia ones?
