What should we call this index? Trivia? Trivia Tropes? Trivia Index?
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickActually, Trivia might be a good choice because it's current purpose seems to be to describe the Trivia tab. We could expand and re-purpose it to explain how we are expanding and re-purposing the tab.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAren't we supposed to be emphasizing that these things aren't really tropes at all, but rather a related but distinct phenomenon? Trivia Tropes seems to go counter to that.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.It does. That's why I'm leaning more towards just using Trivia.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI suppose so.
Yeah, using Trivia has the advantage of adhering to the KISS principle.

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Other possible suggestions for the Trivia space: Fan Nickname, Killer App, Vaporware, Development Hell, What Could Have Been, and Schedule Slip
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Fake Nationality and its subtropes probably belong here (cases where they don't will generally fall under Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping, Not Even Bothering with the Accent, or Actor Allusion).
132 is the rudest number.I was kidding.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Well, Fighteer wasn't.
Video Game Census. Please contribute.Ok, back on topic. Here are this list of all the tropes that have been proposed to go on the Trivia page. Now, I don't think all of these fit, but I'm including them for completeness sake. I think what we could do is have a crowner and put the ones that are in the green on the page. Something like that.
- Ascended Fanboy
- Ascended Meme
- Actor Allusion
- Celebrity Resemblance
- Development Hell
- Expy
- Fake Nationality
- Fan Nickname
- Follow the Leader
- Hey Its That Guy
- Hey Its That Voice
- Killer App
- Named After Somebody Famous
- No Celebrities Were Harmed
- The Other Darrin
- The Other Marty
- The Pete Best
- Relationship Voice Actor
- Schedule Slip
- Shout-Out
- Take That!
- Vaporware
- What Could Have Been
- What Could Have Been
- Word of Dante
- Word of God

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickNice.
Hmm. Word of Dante and Word of God seem to belong to this category, too, at least when used as tropes by themselves and not to add information or weight to another trope.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Added. And yes, these are for using the tropes themselves in the lists. Not when modifying other tropes.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI can unlock the Trivia page for a better description. It isn't meant to be an index page, though. That is Trivia Index. It is automatic for the namespace.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyWe don't want it to be an index of trivia pages. We want it to be an index of the 'tropes' that are really just Trivia and thus belong on trivia pages.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAh.
What is wanted here, then, is an index that also acts to put a 'trivia' banner on the listed pages. We can do that. I'm on the coding for it right now.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyYes, that is it exactly. Thank you Fast Eddie.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI'll add it to the list. Does anyone have any others or should we make a crowner to pick which ones go on?
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickHold on: If Shout-Out is a "trivia", does that mean we'll need to move all the examples on the shout out sub-pages to the trivia ones?
Crown Description:
The Trivia category is for narrative conventions that cannot be determined from the final product itself. These are details of production and behind-the-scenes events that influenced the end result of the product. This crowner is used in conjunction with this thread. Please post in the thread before adding tropes to this list. Previous crowner here. Make a new crowner after 40 tropes.
I second this idea.
