[up] Is there a character you can think of that you like that stands out from your other favorites? Whether it be that their personality is different, they're a different alignment than normal, etc.

[down] Oh dear, that's a really tough question. Truth be told, I haven't really tasted any chocolates barring the standard milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, semi-sweet...

I like milk chocolate the most, I believe. Although some richer, darker chocolates are also very nice.

Who do you think was MLP:FiM's worst villain?

[down] Probably Ultra Sun/Moon. I feel like it expanded upon the ideas, world, and mechanics introduced in vanilla Sun/Moon well, plus Gen 7 is probably tied with Gen 3 for my all-time favorite Pokémon Gen. The only criticism I have is one that a lot of people have in that the story seems a bit weaker than the one in Sun/Moon.

[down] I liked the idea of Uub succeeding Goku as protector of Earth (But GT bungled it). The Dark Star Arc had good potential. And the design of SSJ 4 was great. Also a few concepts and villains were promising and would've been great if better executed.

What's the record of memes you've managed to shove into your avatar/title/location etc. at once?

[down] tl;dr it's bretty guud

Let me try to list 'em off and then see how I feel about 'em each. I haven't seen some of the earlier ones in several years but I can't imagine my thoughts would be terribly different. Okay!

  • Iron Man — where it all began! Favreau and Downey at their best, and still so effortless in how it manages to bring us into this world without any real previous frame of reference for an adaptation on its scale. Essential viewing for any fan.
  • The Incredible Hulk — better than you think, but not as good as it could be. Ed Norton's turn as Bruce is serviceable, but the movie around him kinda lets him down (even if my dumb ass loves some Tim Roth). I do wish it hadn't convinced Marvel and Universal that further solo Hulk films weren't worth the effort, though, especially now that we've got the perfect Hulk in Mark Ruffalo.
  • Iron Man 2 — Fun, but disappointing. Cheadle's debut as War Machine is groovy and the evolution of Tony's suits into a massive collection is cool, but I wasn't crazy about Mickey Rourke's turn as Whiplash. (Maybe I'll get my hope for good ol' Crimson Dynamo to properly show up someday.)
  • Thor — Hemsworth never disappoints. The biggest gift this movie gave to the MCU, however, was dear Loki, patron saint of Tumblr shippers everywhere and one of the few villains to actually leave a lasting impression (he's in rare air there, with only T. Hanos, the Vulture and Killmonger standing there with him).
  • Captain America: The First Avenger — A solid first go for Evans, who nailed down the Boy Scout energy Steve needed from day one. Particularly interesting as a historical piece within the MCU, too; I credit it and Captain Marvel for doing that to nail down their own distinct tones.
  • The Avengers — 2012 Tre thought it was exemplary. These days I'm not anywhere near interested in kissing Whedon's feet the way I was back then, but it's still a good movie that very much set the stage for the seven-ish years of the universe to come.
  • Iron Man 3 — Definitely an improvement over the second one, but also left something to be desired in other ways. "Extremis" is one of the best Iron Man stories of recent memory, and some of the coolest parts of the film owe their executions to that arc... and then they bring in the Mandarin, because God forbid we leave out Iron Man's arch nemesis, but also we gotta find a way to make him not racist somehow.
  • Thor: The Dark World — actually the only one I haven't seen. From what I've heard, it's kinda lackluster, and the biggest plot points that were necessary for it were just brought back out in Endgame so I'm not chomping at the bit to watch it.
  • Captain America: The Winter Soldier — solid! I liked that it had a bit of grit to it compared to the last one, almost like it and Civil War end up being their own things instead of just direct sequels. Bucky and Steve's relationship drives the film incredibly well, but I did feel like the "hey actually SHIELD's been HYDRA the whole time" thing would've been better if there were some kind of establishment for it beforehand.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy — I am Groot.
  • Avengers: Age of Ultron — one of the only ones I actively disliked. The pacing was weird and made it feel like a chore to sit through even though it's the shortest Avengers film, and I wasn't a fan of how they reconfigured the way Ultron and the Vision were built to make Tony responsible for them both instead of being Hank Pym's work.
  • Ant-Man — Rewatched this one with a friend not too long ago and was struck, again, at how fun a watch it is. I always wonder what Edgar Wright's version of it would have been like because he's one of my favorite filmmakers, but Peyton Reed does a serviceable job with it (and really comes into his own with the characters in the sequel).
  • Captain America: Civil War — I'm not crazy about the Russos, but they did pull off something I thought would be impossible upon the movie's announcement: adapt the "Civil War" story arc and actually make it watchable. Make no mistake — this is the real Avengers 2. (Also, Spider-Man and Black Panther have finally arrive. Fuuuuck yeah.)
  • Doctor Strange — Decent (and really visually impressive), despite my utter disdain for Cumberbatch. Felt almost like they wanted to make an action movie version of an episode of House, which makes me wish that Hugh Laurie was Stephen instead.
  • Guardians Vol. 2 — Not as much as the first one, but still. I am Groot.
  • Spider-Man Homecoming — really fun! As far as Spider-Films go, it's #3 for me (behind Raimi's 2nd entry and Spider-Verse). Holland is the perfect high school Peter, awkward and friendly and still figuring everything out. I'm also particularly glad they found a way to include Tony as his mentor figure without having Downey steal the show, and Keaton's Vulture shows that the man's still got it as far as superhero films are concerned.
  • Thor Ragnarok — a masterpiece. Waititi gives Hemsworth the gift of letting the entire movie be stupid rather than just making Thor a pillar of stupidity among high-fantasy derring-do, and it's so much better for it. Also.
  • Black Panther — ALSO a masterpiece. Coogler, meanwhile, understands that Boseman is the perfect leader to usher us into a world that had never been seen at a blockbuster scale: that of the Afrofuturist utopia, joyful and hyper-modern but rich with the culture of its past. Killmonger, meanwhile, exemplifies the external frustrations of those outside of that utopia, angered by the world's injustices against black people, in search of something better (though, of course, in a way we recognize as unhealthy). When those two worlds collide, you get a hell of a story out of it.
  • Avengers: Infinity War — better with the context we now have for it through a post-Endgame lens. Not something I'm particularly interested in rewatching on its own, but very much necessary for understanding where the series had been heading for so long.
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp — fun as hell, and an improvement over the first because instead of dangling Lilly as the Wasp over our head we finally get her and she kicks ass and it's great.
  • Captain Marvel — Brie Larson is the bee's knees, and the retro setting is both fun and kinda needed to happen after Infinity War messed everything up in the present. Ended up having a surprisingly progressive storyline, too, which proved to be a pleasant surprise. I want to see more of her.
  • Avengers: Endgame — the culmination of everything we've had so far, and an apt one. Not perfect, but really quite solid, and better than its predecessor was at weaving together character threads. It needed to give us closure, and it did so pretty well considering how much was on the table.
