This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I agree. Leave it.
It Makes Sense in Context has its page quote recently changed to one from Deadpool 2. this makes it redundant with the picture.
It think the original was better:
Agreed on the switch back.
I've hated the quote for The Omniscient forever; it has absolutely nothing to do with the trope. The Good Place has a few good ones, but they tend to be on the long side.
Chidi: She's like this walking database. You can ask her about the creation of the universe or history...
Eleanor: Oh, there was a guy who lived in Avondale, Arizona, around 2002. His name was Kevin Paltonic. Is he gay?
Janet: No.
Eleanor: Really? Huh. I guess he just didn't want to have sex with me.
Janet: That's correct.
Eleanor: Well, that's fine, I wasn't that into him anyway.
Janet: Yes, you were.

I like that quote.
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!The page quote for The Corrupter was added by ban-evader Johnnyfog, is there any quote from the quotes page that would work as a replacement?
this one?
The quote for Stone Wall is kind of terrible; it has nothing to do with it besides the word "wall."
The lone quote in the Quotes page is better, but a little long.
Some options from the page (which, by the way, needs some formatting help):
Not super enamored with either one, but they're better than the current.

both are much better than the current, but I favor the Overwatch one
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!The current quote for O.O.C. Is Serious Business doesn't really represent the trope. I like this one from the quotes page, though I think it might be a bit too long:
Gohan: Anything but that, Mom!
Chi-Chi: A mother knows what's best, right?
Gohan: Well... I guess.
Goku: [puts a hand on Gohan's shoulder] Hey, Gohan, your mother's a hundred-percent right. It would be best if you studied this afternoon.
[Gohan and Krillin look at him wide-eyed, and Chi-Chi Face Faults. Goku looks around in confusion]
Goku: Huh? W-what'd I do?
Krillin: You don't know?!
Gohan: Gosh, Daddy!
Chi-Chi: Are you sick?! [pops a thermometer in Goku's mouth and feels his forehead] You feel okay...
There 's also this one:
Potholes aren't allowed in page quotes, so those will have to go either way.
The DBZ quote can lose the first four lines and the first stage direction, imo.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Quote on Starting a New Life has the character name spoilered out (as it is a spoiler). What should be done with that?
I believe I changed it so it just said "Rose Quartz", but someone changed it back, so...

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Mad-Lib Fantasy Title's quote is really long and kinda mean-spirited.
The Protomen enhanced my life. The page quote for Archive Binge suffers from lack of context. It requires people to have seen the film to understand how it relates to the trope. I do have an alternative suggestion:
Current quote:
Suggested replacement:

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Immortal Hulk has two page quotes:
- — Carl Jung
- — Detective Gloria Mayes
Maybe just delete it until a better one can be found.
I agree with the replacement quote.
I suggest you keep the second one.
Not So Different has a page quote that's also on the quote page. Can't have your cake and eat it. Suggested replacement:
Superman: Only I can rid it of crime.
Atrocitus: That same rage created me.
Obviously we'd have to cut this quote from the quotes page to avoid violating those same rules.

So, instead of "remove current quote from quote page", you think the better solution is "Moving something else from the quote page and then remove THAT from the quote page"?
I forgot it was there already when I first posted. My bad.
Regardless, my point still stands — it needs to go from either the main page or the quotes page.
Okay, I've cut my losses and removed the Not So Different page quote from its quote page. I think it's kinda weaksauce, which is why I wanted to replace it, but this is the simplest solution with the least headaches, so I leave the burden of maybe finding a better one to someone else.
I've moved it to the Quotes page for Wiki Walk.
The only one I can think of off the top of my head for Not So Different is this one:
- Uryuu: Ichigo... Why did you invite me? Do you feel responsible for my injuries? If so, you're wrong. And I don't want your sympathy.
Ichigo: Shut up. I just felt like eating with you. But your company really sucks so just say 'Thank you.' and eat.
Uryuu: Why should I thank you? I prefer to eat alone anyway.
Ichigo: Well, so do I. Don't look at me.
Mizuiro: (To himself) I see. Those two are a lot alike.
Deadly Gaze and No Eye in Magic have the same page quote. To complicate matters, they're both quoted differently, suggesting that either one is quoted incorrectly or the Doctor says the same thing twice in the same episode but in different ways. They're as follows:

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. That's a good one. Should probably get some more input before changing it, though, see if anyone doesn't like it.
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
It was added four years ago, and even if they were a ban evader back then, it still works as a page quote better than anything in the Quotes page.
