YMMV / Gundam Breaker Mobile

  • Epileptic Trees:
    • The "Rindo is a boy" angle. Due to a bit of "Blind Idiot" Translation on the official English webpage, fans had thought Rindo was a boy, suggesting they were a Wholesome Crossdresser. The game using "she/her" pronouns seemed not to deter certain people, but the release of Chapter 7 officially debunked this angle.
    • A running theory on the Sanakapool being referred to as a customized Kapool rather than a recolored Momokapool was that the game takes place in a universe where Gundam Build Divers doesn't exist, thus the Sanakapool resembling the Momokapool is a case of two alternate timelines where people have similar ideas for a Gunpla (akin to how in the UC and the CE timelines, mecha designers both thought "You know what? I want to make a green mobile suit named the Zaku with a shoulder shield, monoeye, tomahawks, and hoses"). This was quickly proven untrue by the game adding the Earthree Gundam, meaning that Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE (and by extension its prequel, which is where the Momokapool debuted) exist in the game's universe.
  • Game-Breaker:
    • Certain banner parts that have insane A-rank EX-Skills are highly regarded as these. Among the parts released from the game's early days that fall into this qualification are the Gundam Barbatos (4th Form)'s Mace (which grants it the devastating Iron Impact attack), the Red Frame Astray's legs (which contains the hilariously broken Bisect attack,) Gundam's Beam Rifle (which has the legendary "Last Shooting") and the Exia's backpack/GN Drive (which has the team boosting Trans-Am Raid skill).
    • For those who can't get/don't have Exia's GN drive yet, the Rozen Zulu's backpack carries a particularly powerful skill "Psyco Jammer" EX skill which, when used, stun-locks the targeted opponent for at least 15 seconds, allowing you to wail on them with impunity or follow up with the aforementioned above other game breakers, making most boss battles absolutely trivial. And unlike the above mentioned parts, the Rozen Zulu is an event machine, meaning while it's available there's nothing stopping you from farming Coins, buying its backpack multiple times, tuning it up, and maxing out the skill's level to cut down on its cooldown time.
    • Introduced in a special Christmas banner, the Wing Zero OVA Ver. Particularly the Head (Very high Shot Attack stat and EX skill power boost), Chest (ZERO System as Awakening skill, granting Attack and Speed stat boosts), Backpack (High shot attack stat, and an A-Power rank EX Skill which also boosts squad melee attack), and the iconic Twin Buster Rifle (close to 4000 shot attack, and a map-wide AOE EX-skill.) And that's not even counting the Protag (present on all the aforementioned parts) and High Firepower (Same, sans the backpack) word tags on most of these parts, which also give the unit greater stat buffs while active.
    • The Susanowo, another event unit, came with 3 game breakers; the arms are generally regarded to be the best non-ex skill arms one can use for their Gunpla in terms of stats, while the Unryu/Shiranui dual blades are basically a physical version on the Heat Rev Swords, the best twin blades in game. But the absolute beast of the three has to be the Susanowo legs. Why? Not because of their stats, which are decent by themselves, but because they come pre-packaged with a physical melee version of Trans-Am Raid, one of the best skills in the game and the reason to own Exia's back, which, unlike said back piece, can be easily farmed and max leveled, so while it's slightly weaker than Exia's version, you can boost the power and skill level of this one to the point where it's strength and cool down surpass that of the original.
    • The addition of Gundam Vidar add 2 more into the frame (pun intended): The back has an ability that enhances the melee power of Power-Type Gunpla, making it the best for those kinds of builds. And the legs... Come with an absurdly powerful EX Skill called Demon's Hunt, a dashing physical skill that hits multiple (7-8) times, hits with roughly a third of Bisect's hilariously high damage per hit, boosts the speed and damage of your entire squad, and has A's in both power AND piercing, meaning that not only does it completely eclipse Bisect (formerly one of, if not the best EX skill in the game) in terms of sheer damage and stat boosts, but it also ignores whatever defense values they have in the process. It's only downside is that it doesn't come with the former skill's healing...which is mitigated by simply equipping another part with heal or foregoing it entirely since most Gunpla either won't be standing or will be on their last legs once you use it
    • Despite being an event suit (thus not at the whim of the Random Number God), the Crossbone Gundam torso is likely the most prized item in the game. Its stats are nothing to write home about, but its Beam Gun EX skill is a magazine skill that hits multiple times, can be used in rapid succession (being a magazine-type EX skill,) and deals great damage for a shooter build. It's theorized that its ridiculous DPS is due to a coding error or glitch. To a lesser extent, other magazine-based attacks such as the Strike Noir's backpack or Build Strike Gundam's Chobham Shield can serve the same purpose, but the Crossbone Gundam outdamages anything else and was incredibly easy to earn and max out.
    • There are many variations of the Nu Gundam in the game, and most of their backpacks provide funnel attacks... except for one which gives the EX Skill "Fin Funnel Barrier." Trigger this skill and all enemy ranged damage, including EX Skills are negated. Oh, and you can still move and fight while it's active, including shooting out of the barrier. It basically requires stepping inside past the barrier (IE, melee range) to damage the user. Given how many EX Skills with fast frame data are Shot type skills, this can hamper to downright neuter many opponents, especially in Arena Mode.
  • Memetic Mutation: Perfect AssExplanation
  • Play the Game, Skip the Story: Even though the art is quite nice, players tend to skip over the cutscenes, what with the storyline being standard To Be a Master Gunpla fare. This may be even more true than previous console versions of the series, as mobile users tend to be more interested in taking advantage of events and the ticking clock behind game mechanics and even less interested in the plot.
  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • The gacha mechanic. Within the first two months of the game, there have been numerous 4-star units introduced with only one 3-star and no 2- or 1-stars at all. This meant that picking up 4-star pieces become more and more rare. This gets even worse as there are star units who give bonuses for Events and getting those are near-impossible.
    • Funnels/Bits. What are normally some of the most devastating and effective weapons in-universe are reduced to EX moves that barely do any damage, don't cause units being hit with them to flinch, and can easily be evaded by walking. They're such a non-threat that anything over 5000 (an incredibly low amount that the majority of players will have surpassed after the first 2 story missions) can literally just stand there and ignore them because even the best funnels in game (right now, from the Quebely), if they even hit, take 30 seconds to do what any decent beam rifle can do in one shot. The only subversion so far is the Rozen Zulu's which, instead of doing damage, is instead probably the easiest Game-Breaker to obtain.
  • Ship-to-Ship Combat: For players who at least cared about the story aspect, seeing a nameless male lead character interact with at least 4 equally-capable female characters almost always guarantees this trope.
  • That One Level: The Chapter 11-7 level is insanely hard and the difficulty spike comes out of nowhere. Unlike most levels where you would face a fleet of mooks before fighting the boss, here you're fighting all but 2 of the named characters in the game. And to make matters worse, two of them came packing Atomic Bazookas that can one shot an unprepared player. And the Sanakapool that is the boss is buffed to high hell, even someone who overleveled their Gunpla will have trouble. And this battle is supposed to be the debut of the Gundam Areus that the player just got.
  • Unexpected Character:
    • The game gave players a surprise by adding Knight Gundam as a Playable Gunpla with parts to mix-and-match. And no, we don't mean the Fullscale/Dynasty Warriors: Gundam version that's typical for Gundam crossover games, we mean the original Super-Deformed version of him, pupils and all, making him the first SD Gundam Gunpla to be playable in a Gundam Breaker game.
    • Another pleasant surprise came in the form of the Unicorn Gundam...that is to say, its Crytallized form from the very end of the series got added in as a figure! The only other time it was utilized in anything else up until this point was SD Gundam G Generation Genesis, where it was an overpowered unit with only one attack!
    • Due to being focused entirely on Gunpla, anytime the game features a mech that doesn't have a Gunpla figure of its own, it counts as this. Okay, Anchor's inclusion was a Product Placement ordeal and Bertigo got a little more notoriety thanks to its Playable Appearance in Gundam Extreme Vs. 2. But GEYMALK, the generally forgotten mech piloted by Chara Soon?!
    • They would eventually include Lupe Cineau in as an AI Pilot, who doesn't appear much often in Gundam crossover games and is a generally unpopular character due to her obsession with Uso Ewin.
    • Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray fans would also get a delightful surprise of their own; The Dual Wielding MBF-02VV Gundam Astray Turn Red from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray R, which chief engineer of Actaeon Industries Valerio Valeri built from the MBF-P03secondL Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L and the MBF-P0X Gundam Astray Noir. While it does have a Gunpla figure, this marks the first time it's ever appeared in a Gundam crossover game! (It wasn't even in SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays)
    • No game in the Gundam Breaker series ever made any hints that they're all part of a Shared Universe before, so the appearance of characters from Gundam Breaker 3 in this game was a surprise.
