Finale of the final tetralogy

On the island, Goultard the Iop demigod and Rushu, the king of Shushu, unleash their aces in the sleeve for the final battle to determine the fate of the World of Twelve, as the portal to Shukrute slowly closes above them. Meanwhile, in the dimension of Emrub, Yugo is finally reunited with his people, the Eliatrope children and the wise dragon Balthazar, but there's still Qilby to face. Supported by his long-lost people, the young King must confront the Traitor once and for all and put an end to his plans.

Tropes:

  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Despite all he has done, Qilby still cries and begs Yugo to not leave him stranded in the White Dimension again.
  • And I Must Scream: Once again, Yugo has no choice but to seal Qilby inside the White Dimension, knowing very well that he's too dangerous to let loose. That being said, he's extremely saddened by this solution.
  • Battle Aura: When going all out, Goultard has an orange-golden aura surrounding him, while Rushu has a red one.
  • Beam Spam:
    • The Eliatrope children lead by Yugo unleash a full barrage of lasers on Qilby twice, the first time forcing him to barely block the attack, and the second to destroy an asteroid he threw at them.
    • Qilby answers with an even bigger one as they're all pummeling him where he wraps himself up with his Wakfu arm into a sphere covered with portals that releases a massive omnidirectional barrage.
  • Berserk Button: Dally flies into a Tranquil Fury when Remington shoots Eva, wounding her in the shoulder, and takes care of him and Grany without using Rubilax.
  • Big Damn Heroes:
    • At the end of the day, it's Shinonome, having apparently had a Heel Realization sometime in the thousands of years since her last death and waiting in her Dofus, that strikes the blow that separates Qilby from the Eliacube.
    • Cleo appears during Remington's standoff with Dally and Eva to shoot the Shushu pistol he's using to threaten Eva and letting her get free.
  • Big Damn Kiss: Dally and Eva shares a big one while Rushu and Goultard dukes it out in the background when she tries to stop him from going after Rushu.
  • Blood Knight:
    • Sadlygrove is actually disappointed that the portal to the Shukrute is about to close, because it means no more baddies to punch out. He's also more than willing to face a true-form Rushu alongside Goultard, despite Eva pointing out how outmatched they are.
    • General Moffette actually thanks Prince Adale for taking her on this mission, claiming that she never had such a fun vacation before.
  • Burning with Anger: When Amalia confronts Yugo at the end, she's so angry at him she has bright yellow eyes and flames in the background.
  • Colony Drop: In an attempt to defeat the Eliatropes, Qilby enlargens his Wakfu arm to grab and hurl an asteroid at them, though Yugo leads them into firing a barrage of Wakfu beams to destroy it.
  • Continuity Nod: In the credits, it seems that Dally and Rubilax managed to fish Igor the mirror Shushu from the lake it sunk into.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Goultard utterly dominates Rushu in their fight, with the latter only getting a few attacks in. Once the latter absorb all the Shushus on the island to gain a power boost, the battle is more balanced.
  • Devour the Dragon: Upon realizing that Goultard is the new Iop God, a terrified Rushu summons all his Shushu to him and absorbs them to gain a power-up meaningful enough to match his opponent.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Yugo ultimately seals Qilby back in the White Dimension, claiming that he's too dangerous to be left free. However, his expression after doing so reveals that he really, really did it because he had no choice left and wishes he had one. Balthazar notices immediately.
  • Fatal Flaw: During the final battle, two of Qilby's defining flaws comes out: his sheer egotism, which ended up causing the exodus of the Eliatropes in the first place, and, as Yugo points out, his utter fear of being left alone, which is the real reason why he didn't finish Yugo off when he had the chance.
  • Foreshadowing: Right before he sends himself and Rushu through the closing portal, Goultard calls Dally "dad". Not long after this, he learns that Eva is actually pregnant.
  • Freudian Excuse: During Qilby's rant, he laments his "blessing" which makes him retain the memories of all his past lives and slowly drove him to madness, while also claiming that the rest of the Council of Six neglected him when he needed it (though the later part is unreliable).
  • Genre Savvy: When the Sufokians celebrate the apparent retreat of the Shushu, Amalia claims she doesn't share their enthusiasm... and for a damn good reason.
  • The Glomp: When Amalia confronts Yugo near the end, she's furious at him, but the istant he tells her that he was worried too she tears up and hugs him tight.
  • A God Am I: As it turns out, Goultard doesn't need the assistance of Iop... because he is the current Iop God while the real deal is away.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Qilby's actions were meant to manipulate the Eliatropes into following him and recover his sister's Dofus, believing her to be the only one he could trust. He's ultimately attacked by the entire Eliatrope population and deprived of the Eliacube by Shinonome at the last second.
  • Honor Before Reason: Even if Eva rightfully points out that Rushu is so powerful Dally wouldn't be able to do anything to him, the Iop claims that what matters isn't winning, but partecipate!
  • Ignored Epiphany: After removing the Eliacube from Qilby, Shinonome tries to reason with him and asks him if his efforts were really worth it. After seemingly considering things, Qilby claims they were, to him.
  • Kick the Dog:
    • Qilby, once riled enough, has no qualms attacking and hurting Eliatrope children.
    • Remington Smisse holding Eva hostage in exchange for Rubilax and then shooting her in the arm (unintentionally, perhaps, but he was aiming for Cleo and he's not really broken up about it).
  • Kung-Fu Sonic Boom: The first part of Rushu vs. Goultard's battle consist in a series of sudden sonic booms exploding all over the sky on one side of the island.
  • Lovecraftian Superpower: Rushu can eject tentacles from his body, as well as form maws in unexpected places, such as his belly right after he is punched there by Goultard.
  • Megaton Punch: How an angry Dally takes out Remington Smisse after he wounds Eva.
  • Non-Action Guy:
    • Balthazar is a Dragon, true, but he's also so ancient he can't fight anymore, and Qilby implies that he wasn't much of a warrior even in his prime, compared to Grougal and Phaeris.
    • Ruel, Black Ink and Elaine, having spent the entire war sequence hiding, only shows up after giving themselves false bruises to look like they fought.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Despite Yugo rallying the Eliatrope children and taking major damage, Qilby still manages to overpower them and get his hands back on his Dofus with Shinonome inside. It's only Shinonome's decision to betray and separate Qilby from the Eliacube that allows Yugo to imprison the insane Eliatrope once again.
  • Not Afraid of You Anymore: Rubilax spent the previous episodes being still afraid of Rushu and calling Sadlygrove out on his intention of attacking him. Once he finally face him for the last time, he's absolutely confident.
Rushu: Well well, if it isn't Rubi the Idiot and his suicidal Iop...
    Rubilax: In the flesh!
  • Not Quite Back to Normal: Despite being separated from the Eliacube, Qilby still bears traces of his powered-up form such as faded tattoos, blue lips, sharp teeth, rings around the eyes, hair that isn't quite back to its original color, and of course his arm stump glowing Wakfu-blue.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • Rushu has one when he realizes that Goultard is sending them both flyng towards the closing Shukrute portal.
    • Qilby, when Yugo and the entire Eliatrope population rush at him in a single compact wave of Wakfu. He also freezes in sheer panic when he realizes that he's back in the White Dimension... and Yugo holds the key.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Once Eva is rescued, Cleo admits she's always been jealous of how much better than her Evangelyne was considered.
  • Papa Wolf: When Qilby makes a threatening remark towards the Eliatropes to Balthazar, the latter gasps and immediately puts himself between them and Qilby.
  • Pet the Dog: Right after Cleome confess to Eva, the latter compliments her for her shot, claiming that only the best Cra could match such a feat.
  • Punctuated Pounding: In a rare variation, Rushu does this to Goultard... while the latter is busy sending him flying with punches and reeling him back with his chain.
  • Really Royalty Reveal: Confirmed eventually that Yugo is the actual and true King of the Eliatropes.
  • The Reveal: Quite some:
    • First, we get to see Emrub, the dimension where the Eliatrope children and Balthazar await for the time they'll be released to the outer world once more.
    • Second, Goultard has taken the mantle and powers of the Iop God while the real one is away.
    • Yugo finally removes his hat, revealing wings made of pure Wakfu.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Yugo delivers an epic one to Qilby when he finally sees through him.
Qilby: Well, go ahead! Explain to us why I won't get rid of you and that, dear Balthazar?
Yugo: Because you'll end up alone, Qilby, and that's your greatest fear. You claim you could get rid of us, but from the beginning you've been spending your time gathering us together. You could've defeated us a hundred times. [...] You betrayed your people, started a war, caused the downfall of your brothers and now you're about to destroy a world. But you don't want to leave alone. The problem is that we all know your real face. The masks have fallen off, Qilby. [...] my heart tells me that no-one will follow you. If you want to leave, go ahead. Don't mind us.
    Qilby: Shut up!
Yugo: But no matter what you say, you're leaving alone!
    Qilby: [attacks] Shut! UUUUUUUUUUUP!!!
  • Shout-Out: When the Shushu merges together to join Rushu, their form is a black mass full of eyes and sharp teeth resembling Pride's shadow form.
  • Slap-Slap-Kiss: After being angry at him for leaving them stranded in the middle of the ocean despite their willingness to help, Amalia starts chewing Yugo up... only to stop and hug him as soon as he tells that he missed them too.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: After sealing Qilby inside the White Dimension and rejecting his pleas, Yugo still looks incredibly mortified, as Balthazar notes.
    Yugo: It's done, Balthazar...
Balthazar: Yet we don't feel better for it...
  • Taking the Bullet: After Cleo manages to disarm Remington of the pistol he tried to use to threaten Eva, he tries to shoot her with his remaining one but Eva takes the shot to the shoulder to save her sister.
  • Taking You with Me: Realizing that Rushu is equally matched and that the portal is closing, Goultard grapples his opponent and dashes across the portal with him, sending himself and Rushu back to the Shukrute.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: General Moffette has such a moment once she sees the giant Shushu looming over her steamer: when she reappears, the entire top half of her mecha has been torn to shreds.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Qilby loses what little composure he had left when Yugo correctly sees through him.
  • Villainous Rescue: When Rushu calls his entire army back to him, he accidentally spares a good part of the Sufokian army who was losing the battle.
  • Wham Line: When Rushu finally puts two and two together...
Rushu: You... have become... the new Iop God!?
Goultard: Mhmf, there's no fooling you.
  • Wham Shot: Yugo removing his hat and revealing that there are a pair of Wakfu wings underneath, and the other children in the area doing the same and revealing this is a species-wide trait.
  • "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue: Just like the previous season, the credit sequence shows how certain characters are doing:
    • Dally and Rubilax are watching Goultard fighting Rushu inside the Shukrute and cheering for him, while Eva facepalms in the foreground.
    • Justice Knight and his father are enjoying the roller coasters of Brakmar.
    • Black Ink is fighting Smisse Monde while Elaine and Cleome cheers on him.
    • Ruel is upgrading his drilling machine using what appears to be Sufokian technology.
    • Yugo and Alibert are reunited once again.
    • Prince Adale and General Moffette are over-viewing works on the Crimson Claws, which is being turned into a steel fortress.
    • Qilby sits alone in the White Dimension, contemplating the little flower which ended up inside with him.
