Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Vs. Kamen Rider Drive Spring Vacation Combining Special is an one-hour Super Hero Time special where Kamen Rider Drive meets up with the Shuriken Sentai Ninninger. The second of its kind following the crossover between ToQger and Gaim.

A new Youkai appears, and the brave ninja team, the Ninningers, are on the scene! But the fight is caught short when not only their foe manages to escape by slowing down time, but then a new challenger arrived as well. It's Kamen Rider Drive, and he's here to... defeat the Ninningers?!

  • Accidental Kiss: Zigzagged. During their first first fight with Buruburu, Takaharu and Nagi get knocked into each other and their faceplates meet, leading to a "smooch" sound.
  • Big Bad: Dr. D aka Roidmude 089/Shocker Buruburu.
  • Big-Bad Ensemble: The Kibaoni Army joined forces with the Roidmudes.
  • Cardboard Prison: It is useless to cage the Ninningers. They will always escape.
  • Cassandra Truth: No one in the Special Unit believes the Ninningers about Youkai and them being ninjas. Justified, however in that the ninjas aren't in their own world.
  • Casting Gag: Dr. D, the main villain who opposes Drive & the Ninningers, is played by Yuji Kishi, who once portrayed a car-themed red ranger.
  • Crossover: It's right there in the title.
  • Deconstruction: After the Ninningers summon the Otomo-Nin and defeat the giant Roidmudes, they are immediately arrested by the police and labeled as public enemies. This is because the battle did a lot of collateral damage to the city, something that is rarely addressed in a Super Sentai series.

  • Ham-to-Ham Combat: Chief Honganji Vs. Grandpa Igasaki. Need we say more?
  • Heroic RRoD: Played for laughts. Shinnosuke, not being able to comprehend Takaharu's easy-going nature, gets his brain stalled and goes into a fetal position.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: V3's own Kame Bazooka meets his explode-y end when Mach uses Spin Mixer to clog his cannon with cement as he was about to fire.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Drive opposes the Ninningers at first, thinking that they're Roidmudes.
  • Make My Monster Grow: Kyuemon demonstrates she can grow other monsters beyond the Youkai, as she does to two Roidmudes, leaving Drive at a loss as to how to fight his now giant opponents. Of course, as the Ninningers are in town, Shurikenjin arrives to stop them.
  • Mooks: Shocker Combatmen and Hitokarage. A handful of low-class Roidmudes also appear.

  • Not So Different: Shinnosuke and Takaharu by the end realize that they're both hotheaded idiots - the only difference being that while Takaharu doesn't think enough, Shinnosuke tends to over-think stuff.
  • Reality Ensues: Having a Humongous Mecha is a quick way to become public enemy #1, as the Ninningers have the misfortune to find out.
    • Also worth noting is the Ninningers quickly escaping their holding cells and leaving substitution dummies behind. They are ninjas after all.
  • Prequel: To Super Hero Taisen GP Kamen Rider 3, with premiered a week earlier.
  • So Long, Suckers!: After gathering enough fear and enlarging some Roidmudes, Kyuuemon doesn't bother to stay and goes back to the Ninninger's world.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here!: After Kame Bazooka goes kaboom, Hiruchameleon runs away, vowing revenge on Mach.
  • Versus Title: You did read the title, right?
