Season 1

    The Curse
  • While the family is still driving to their house, Grandma Nin video-calls on Sharon's phone, and Molly and Darryl happily say "Hi, Grandma Nin!" Sharon is a little surprised but smiles at how happy the kids are to greet their grandmother.
  • The family is a little disappointed to see that their house is a teardown, especially since the dad showed them a nicer-looking house by accident. Molly happily says that she loves it and goes charging inside with her suitcase.
  • Pete, initially the most terrified of all the McGees, accepts Scratch at Molly's urging and awkwardly tries to connect with him, trusting his daughter as a good judge of character.
  • Molly's grandmother tells her that in Thailand, ghosts rooming with humans are common, and advises Molly to get a house for Scratch and to offer him food and drink to keep him happy. Scratch immediately stops brooding when Molly offers him her dollhouse as a home, and muses that he likes it enough to accept Molly as a friend on a "trial basis"... then offers that he likes tacos and strawberry soda. Molly says she'll grab two tacos (with chocolate on them)!

    First Day Frights
  • While she does interrupt his bath, Molly summons Scratch because she wants to sincerely ask his advice on how to make new friends, since he's always saying what a popular ghost he is; her mentioning it suddenly makes him very nervous, as if he's worried his fib's been exposed. Despite claiming he doesn't want or need her friendship, Scratch still thinks enough of Molly to try to impress her.
  • Scratch spends Molly's entire first day of school attempting to ruin her reputation, especially once she gets on Andrea's bad side. When he publicly humiliates her, though, one of the other students calls Molly "the worst of the worst." This instantly hits Scratch right in the conscience as he realizes how unfair it is for anyone to bully another person like that. Despite himself, he possesses Andrea and manages to fix the situation by "absolving" Molly and Libby of their socially mandated uncoolness.
    • He pulls a brief Bait-and-Switch in his speech by declaring Libby no longer a social outcast first, but it's clear he's really talking about Molly, and quickly adds her while trying to play it off like an afterthought.
Scratch!Andrea: Now, I'd like to bring it down a little bit, get a little serious, because there's a girl having a really rough day, and I think in some... sssssmall way, that's my fault. She doesn't deserve to be treated like "the worst of the worst" — no one does! So, please, on my behalf, give a big Brighton Middle School cheer for... Libby!
[A spotlight suddenly goes on over Libby's head]
      Scratch!Andrea: She's okay now, I decree it!
      [Everyone cheers]
Libby: [Standing up and pumping her fists] Yessss! Outcast no more!
[Molly looks rather nonplussed at Scratch and shrugs as if to say "what's the deal?"]
Scratch!Andrea: [Hurriedly] ...Also, Molly McGee isn't so bad either; cut her some slack, ya animals.
      [They share a smile]

    Howlin' Harriet
  • Molly's search for a human best friend is punctuated by her repeatedly assuring Scratch that he's #1 overall and nobody's replacing him, with "#1 BESTY" and a little doodle of him at the very top of her chalkboard.
  • When Libby manages to craft a set of fake toes for Harriet, the angry specter calms down and changes into a less terrifying form. Then, the ghost bird that was flying around throughout the episode lands on her shoulder. They float into the woods and disappear together, seemingly at peace.
  • Molly and Libby becoming official besties at the end of the episode.

    The Unnatural
  • Molly cheering on the Lemmings, even though they're horrible. Libby even thanks Molly for the sentiment despite knowing that the team sucks.
    • Molly made her own foam finger before the game by pasting a "LEMMINGS!" sticker on it, going the extra mile to cheer for a team that's so bad they can't even sell specialized souvenirs.
  • Scratch helping Molly win, even if it's dishonest and supposedly done for mischievous reasons (getting her to rely on cheating, as well as humiliating the Skylarks). While he could've easily left her in the lurch, or actively worked against the Lemmings, in order to embarrass her and increase the overall misery of the town, it's revealed that he's been delinquent on his monthly scare report, and he still devoted his time to doing something generous instead.
Molly: It was YOU and your GHOST-Y POWERS! That's why I was good! You cheated, Scratch, why would you do that?!
[She gasps loudly and bear-hugs him]
Molly: ...Is it because we're friends?
Scratch: [Shoving her away] NO, it's not b — I — LISTEN! If somebody's going to crush your spirit, IT'S GONNA! BE! ME!
    • After Molly admits that it's wrong to cheat, but helping Libby and the Lemmings win would feel wrong and "kinda right", Scratch gives her a hug. Granted, it's for compromising her principles, but Molly still manages to enjoy the moment.
Scratch: [Proudly] You just won yourself a hug, bring it over here.
      [He embraces Molly]
Molly: Ughhhh... [Laughing] Okay, okay, okay! But only until the Lemmings believe in themselves, not one second more!
    • When Molly vows to let the Lemmings win on their own instead, Scratch gets genuinely distraught, and even cheers for Libby's catch, showing that, in his own way, he's become as invested in the team as she has.
Molly: No, Scratch. I'm gonna finish this game... myself.
Scratch: What?! NO! We just need ONE MORE OUT! Think of the Lemmings, Molly! Think of BRIGHTON! Enhappify them!
Molly: I want to enhappify Brighton... but I did all this to help the Lemmings believe in themselves! Well, now... it's time I believe in the Lemmings.
  • The episode ends with Scratch using the fact that he is one scare short for the month as an opportunity to spook the crap out of the girl that has been taunting Molly as a bit of karmic retribution.

    The Greatest Concert Ever
  • Molly and Scratch embracing at the end of the episode.
Molly: [Eyes welling up] SCRATCH! You saved the DAY!
[She hugs him tightly and gives him an affectionate poke]
Molly: You went the extra mile, because you're a real McGee now.
Scratch: [Shoving his way out of her grasp] What?! N — NO, there's a PERFECTLY REASONABLE... ah... explanation, why I hadda —
[Molly walks over and puts her arms around him]
    Molly: Juuuuust embrace it, buddy.
Scratch: [Smiling and hugging her back] ...All right, well, maybe I'm like a, you know... "McGee-adjacent".

    Not So Honest Abe
  • When Scratch finally gets in touch with Lincoln, he tries to downplay what really happened and why, but the statesman's presence alone causes him to confess the whole thing, and his real feelings for Molly slip out.
Scratch: Look, you gotta help me! There's this human named Molly, okay? She's bombing a school presentation, on YOU, and, well, it may be because I slightly... led her to believe I knew you?
[Abe bangs a sour chord on the piano, and turns to Scratch with grim distaste]
Lincoln: I never encouraged deceit and falsehood, young man.
[He cocks an eyebrow and continues to stare at him while playing a tense rising melody, as Scratch sweats under the pressure]
Scratch: OKAY! I LIED to her and set her up with a FAKE Lincoln so she wouldn't find out I'm such a LOSER in the Ghost World — I, I CARE what she thinks of me, OKAY?! Also, I didn't pay for my mocha! [He takes a breath] Wow... I did not mean to admit any of that.
Lincoln: They don't call me 'Honest Abe' for nothin'.
Scratch: [Distraught] Now she's spoutin' nonsense at school, and she's a laughingstock — she's gonna fail her class because a' ME!
Lincoln: Truth, is your truest friend... but sounds like this 'Molly' character is a close second?
    Scratch: [Shyly] She is...
  • Even after Lincoln and Scratch arrive just in time to save the day, Molly still feels conflicted:
Molly: So you... did lie to me, Scratch.
Scratch: OKAY, yes, I lied, buuuuuuut, it —
[Scratch suddenly notices Lincoln glaring right through him and begins to sweat again]
Scratch: [Strained; under his breath] Wow, that truth stare really does it. [Reluctantly; to Molly] Look, I just wanted you to think I'm important, because... you're important... to me.
    [Molly grabs him angrily]
Molly: So you... nearly ruined my grade because you CARE about me?!
[She tears up and begins sobbing, pulling him into a hug]
Molly: That's the nicest thing you've ever done, Scratch! [Blubbering] It's so sweeeet!
Scratch: All right, all right, I'm not a tissue!
[After a moment, he smiles and hugs her back]
Lincoln: [With pride] You can always tell the greatness of a ghost, by the lengths he will go to, for a friend.
  • In a ridiculous way, Molly asking for help again, and Scratch vowing to aid her in the exact same way. He might claim that he "learned" to never do anything nice for anyone again, but he hasn't learned a thing.

    Mazel Tov, Libby!
  • The fact that Libby invites Molly to her bat mitzvah, which otherwise just has her family. We definitely know Molly considers Libby her best friend, and this shows the feeling to be mutual.
    • The act of inviting her is also adorable, as Libby hand-delivers a letter to Molly and squeals with delight as she tells her excitedly to open it.
  • Molly hires her mother through Gig Pig to make an ice sculpture for Libby's celebration. While it's mainly seen as a gesture for Libby, think about it: Molly paid her mother to do it. It shows that perhaps Molly feels that her mother is more deserving of the family's money than she is.
  • While Libby is mad that Molly didn't listen to her, she hears out Molly when the latter explains that she heard Libby's mother talk about how the bookstore wasn't doing well, and mistakenly thought that they were having money troubles. Libby quickly reassures Molly that her family is doing fine financially, and it's more that she did genuinely want a small party.

    The Turnip Twist
  • Scratch feeling conflicted and concern whether to ruin the festival or let it continue being a success to make the McGee happy, showing how much he values their happiness.
  • Finding out Scratch could be send to the Flow of Failed Phantoms, Geoff waste no time and get serious about ruining the festival to save his best friend.

    Talent Show
  • Libby manages to overcome her fears and salvage her performance in the talent show by turning her singing act into an impressive slam poetry act. The audience gives her standing ovations and Libby's mother could not be prouder.

    Scratch the Surface
  • After spending the whole episode denying her request to let Libby see him, after Scratch notices how devastated Molly would be if her inner guilt ruins her friendship with Libby, Scratch relents and allows himself to be revealed to Libby, all for Molly's sake.

    Friend-Off
  • After coming to blows over each other's differences and trying to prove each other who's Molly's true best friend, after Molly gets trapped in a deadly predicament. Scratch goes to Libby, apologizes for his rude comments and reveals how much Molly means to him and how Molly to her. After revealing that Molly is in danger, Libby wastes no time in helping him rescue her.
  • When the ordeal is over, Scratch and Libby both find common grounds, their mild annoyance towards Molly's antics. Ending it off with them walking off with Molly behind them and solidifying their friendship with a selfie (with Molly in the background).

    Festival of Lights
  • When the family is playing the game where they write down miracles into a hat and guess who wrote what, they pull out what Scratch wrote: “I used to haunt a house. Now I haunt a home.” The McGees and Libby then group hug Scratch. He's less than pleased.
Scratch: See, this is why I don't say nice things.
  • Libby's menorah turns out to be one of the few things her great-grandparents took with them to America when they escaped Germany during Kristallnacht, and has been with them for generations to come.
Libby: This menorah has been with our family through plenty of tough times.
Mrs. Stein-Torres: But it reminds us that even in darkness, there is light. No matter what happens, we celebrate that we're still here. Resilient, strong, and proud.
  • Mrs. Stein-Torres asks Libby to read her miracle during the miracles game. Turns out its Libby, with Mrs. Stein-Torres exclaiming Libby's my miracle! and ruffling her daughter's hair. According to Libby, she does this every year.

    Saving Christmas
  • Andrea, of all people, gently asks her father to fund the Snowflake Festival. When it's revealed that she was due to play the Snowflake Queen it seems to be a case of Enlightened Self-Interest but there's actually a nice sentiment to it - her mother was the Snowflake Queen as a child and Andrea wants to follow in her footsteps. It's a surprisingly sweet motive for someone who is normally so self-centered.
  • Molly losing her Christmas spirit is enough to get Scratch mad, and not in his usual Hypocritical Heartwarming way seen in "The (Un)Natural", but mad enough to see to it that Mr. Davenport changes his ways.
  • In spite of his greed, Mr. Davenport is a good parent towards Andrea, which is what Scratch uses to convince him to fund the Snowflake Festival.

    The Ice Princess
  • Pete saves the day by skating beautifully alongside Sonia and helping her rediscover her passion for skating, so much so that she doesn't care about their dual routine failing, just that she enjoyed herself for the first time in ages instead of obsessing over being perfect. Finally at peace, she leaves Brighton for good.
Sonia: [threateningly, rising with her back turned] I... had...
    Pete: Sorry! I — I — I'm so, so s-sorry!
Sonia: ...So much FUN! [high, airy chortle] Maybe that's what I really lost: not a gold medal, but my love of the sport. Now, I've found it again.
[She places a hand on Pete's and smiles]
    Sonia: Thank you, Pete.

    The Don't-Gooder
  • Andrea gets all the praise and admiration from their peers when she's done next to zero work opposed to Molly, who's done more than enough for Brighton on her own but gets no recognition, which Scratch starts to get legitimately angry at on the latter's behalf. And when Andrea is named "Volunteer of the Week of Volunteer Week", Scratch gets so enraged that Molly has to hold him back from actually attacking her. Just goes to show how much their friendship has become less one-sided.
  • Molly having a Heel Realization and sparing Andrea from humiliation in the end which she is very grateful for.
  • Andrea is finally able to bond with her parents.
  • Andrea, in her first real Pet the Dog moment, actually thanking Molly for saving her from the incriminating pictures.
  • Molly running home to hug her parents. After spending the whole episode bitter at Andrea for having everything and supposedly stealing her credits, she finally realizes the one thing she has that really matters: a loving family that supports and appreciates her.

    Twin Trouble
  • What finally motivates Pete to stand up to Billy and Jilly? Seeing how they're being a bad influence on Darryl, who's about to give a depressed Molly a wet willy. Pete was willing to put up with his siblings messing with him, but he draws the line at messing with his family.

    Scare Tactics
  • When Scratch gets back from the ghost seminar, he immediately asks Molly if she's okay and puts a hand on her shoulder, having just moments ago seen her through a portal freaking out (over Darryl's tarantula).

    Citizen McGee
  • Mayor Brunson gains a newfound appreciation for his job as mayor, and his duty as a Brunson, by being encouraged by the ghosts of his relatives, who all sing about how proud they are of what he's accomplished in office. This includes his late mom, who affectionately nuzzles him and adds, "love you, Stu", before disappearing through the portal.

Home Is Where the Haunt Is
  • Just when it looks like all hope is lost, Molly discovers that Andrea, of all people, has rallied the townsfolk together to raise the money so the McGees can get their house back and stay in Brighton.
    • Even more surprising, Andrea considers Molly her best friend. She never forgot Molly bailing her out of the charity scandal or the fun she had making a movie with her. Despite how often the two are at odds with each other, Andrea likens their friendship to a geode: rough on the outside but beautiful on the inside.
    • Not only that, Andrea is the one who instigated the hug in the end, which shocks Molly because of how genuine it is, bringing a tear to her eyes.
    • It should also be noted that when Andrea discovers Molly and her family living in the woods, she doesn't act snobby or mean towards her, she is genuinely concerned about her.
  • Molly points out to Scratch that since she had to move out of the house (albeit temporarily), he should be free from the curse. Scratch playfully pretends that the curse is still in effect to demonstrate that the two are friends for real, and he has no intention of leaving Molly.

    Scaring is Caring
  • Scratch has become infected with joy and is unable to scare. Good friend that she is, Molly offers to do Scratch's scares for him, even though it goes against her very nature.
  • The cure for Scratch's condition is to find his inner fear. When he returns, he finds Molly stumbling around blindly in a monster costume, unable to see where she's going because the mask is covering her face. As she wanders into the path of a garbage truck, it activates Scratch's fear — fear of losing Molly — and returns him to normal just in time to swoop in and save her.

    All Night Plight
  • Molly wants to see the Snowball Comet, which only goes by Earth once every fifty years, with her best friends Libby and Scratch. However, after all the trouble they go through — moving to the country for a clear view, losing the snacks along the way, dealing with a sleepwalking Libby, narrowly avoiding getting trampled by buffalo — when the time comes for the comet to appear, the sky becomes cloudy, and poor Molly is devastated. When Scratch asks what the big deal is, Molly says that she fears neither of them might still be friends in the next fifty years and just wanted a memorable experience with her best friends in case they might not get another chance. Moved by this, Scratch turns himself into a balloon and carries Molly and Libby over the clouds for the best view possible of the comet. The sight of it moves Scratch to tears.

    Molly Vs The Ghost World
  • Molly isn't the only McGee to be worried about Scratch, Pete and Darryl are especially taking it hard, showing how much they care for him. When she and Scratch return, the entire family are nothing more than reliefed to see the two safe and sound.
  • Molly really moves heaven and earth to save her friend Scratch. She finds a way to enter the Ghost World, faces the Ghost Council to plead for Scratch, gets banished with him to the Flow of Failed Phantoms, frees herself and every single ghost that has been imprisoned and even destroys the dreaded Chairman for good before she takes Scratch back with her.
  • Scratch finally says Geoff is his friend (even though he adds that between the two of them being sent into the Flow of Failed Phantoms, Geoff was the better pick). When Geoff is free, he gets to hug both Molly and Scratch in relief.
  • Scratch's speech about Molly being his friend and what he likes about her. Molly appreciates it and gives him a warm hug. Even the Council is moved.
Jinx: Molly McGee's a menace! Everything she touches turns to Joy!
Scratch: …You know what? You're right. Molly's way too chipper in the morning.
Molly: It's the "Anything is Possible" part of the day.
Scratch: And, she thinks helping others is the most important thing in the world.
    Molly: Only 'cause it is!
Scratch: She thinks that you can have more fun being nice, than you can have being mean, which is just crazy. And here's something even crazier… she's right. And I like her for it! She's my friend, and I'm hers! And I don't care who knows it!
    Molly: Awwwww, Scratch! (hugs him)
Scratch: (smiles and returns the hug)

Season 2

    The New (Para)Normal
  • During the song "Enjoy Your Afterlife", Scratch tries teaching the Ghost Council how to loosen up and have fun for a change. Sir Alister admits that when he was alive, he had a love for music and dreamed of playing the lute, but his father forbade it. Despite initially dismissing it as dumb, Scratch encourages him to pursue his passion and stick it to his old man.
    • The clip seems to show some serious Character Development on Scratch's part. He's apparently not only forgiven the ghosts that almost banished him and Molly to the Flow of Failed Phantoms, but he's picked up a thing or two from Molly about "enhappifying" people.
  • The Chens and the McGees find themselves quickly getting along when the former move in, with the latter being particularly excited at the idea of a new neighboring family to be friends with. Even when they learn that the Chens are ghost hunters, they still like them, and justify staying friends with them as a way to lead them away from Scratch.
  • June's huge smile when Darryl asks her to tell him about her gadgets can be really heartwarming to any autistic viewers as a common trait many autistic people have is special interests, and June's seems to be her gadgets. She must have been on cloud nine to find someone so interested in them.

    A Soda to Remember
  • Molly being able to get the soda from school for Scratch.
    • The effort that Molly, Libby, and Darryl go through to get the soda for Scratch, which plays out very much like an actual heist. And when Scratch admits he doesn't know if he wants to remember his past, they're more than willing to just leave the soda for him to make his choice and not pressure him despite all their work.
  • It's understated and Played for Laughs, but Darryl dove into the Dark Web to find the soda, and besides noting that he saw things he heavily regrets seeing seems fully fine with having done so for Scratch.
  • As Scratch drinks the soda, a flashback shows that an old friend named Adria gave him the same soda where they made a promise that every time they drink the soda, it will help them think of each other so they will never forget.

    A Period Piece
  • Molly being very excited to have Andrea come over and have a sleepover with all two of her best girl friends (Libby). Showing that Molly does consider Andrea as a true friend after helping her get their house back.
  • Learning that Libby just had her first period, Andrea becomes very supportive (having one three months ago) and even gives her extra PJ to Libby. The two even ended up having a great time together and leaving the past incident of their last sleepover behind.
  • After mistaking Molly being the one who had her period, Pete wasted no time to celebrate it with a poster he prepared beforehand and was ready to tell her everything she needs to know. Even when he learns it was Libby and they were out of tampons/pads, Pete went out and got the things Libby needs without trouble or embarrassment.
  • After finding out why Molly was acting weird, Libby and Andrea let Molly know that she shouldn’t rush growing up and she will get her period when the time is right. The three ended up playing toys like Molly wanted and had a genuinely good time.

    It's Always Sunny in Sunnyland
  • When the family's vacation trip to Sunnyland gets canceled, Molly takes it upon herself to recreate the park's attractions at home so her family can still have fun. Even when it exhausts her, she still keeps going.
    • Also the fact that the family genuinely enjoys their "vacation" and is incredibly grateful to Molly, even if it takes them a while to see how it's affecting her.
  • On the second day, Scratch starts to complain about the ice cream for the sundaes being melted, but that immediately goes out the window when he sees how tired Molly is and spends the rest of the time concerned for her.
  • When the family and Libby realize the stress Molly is dealing with, they immediately put her to bed, comfort her when she wakes up, and throw her a vacation of her own.

    I Wanna Dance With Some-Ollie
  • Libby, Andrea, and the whole school being very supportive of Molly's relationship with Ollie and even having voted them as king and queen of the dance.
  • After discovering that Scratch was captured by one of Ollie's devices, Molly wastes no time to ditch the dance and save him.
  • Molly and Scratch genuinely apologizing to each other (Scratch for not supporting Molly's relationship and the latter for not believing the former).
    • In a way, even before when Scratch was still trying to get through to Molly, he confides to Libby that he hasn’t seen Molly so happy before, and that her and Ollie look like the couple in a teen romance, which shows that if it weren’t for Ollie being a ghost hunter, he would be more supportive of their relationship.
  • While it also doubles as a tearjerker, Ollie (despite being heartbroken) doesn't confront Molly and Scratch after discovering the latter's existence and their relationship. Not only that, but he decides not to tell his mom about Molly being friends with a ghost.

    Davenport's on Demand
  • Andrea thanking Molly for showing her that she has a talent for coding and used it to not only make her family company better, but to make her parents proud.
  • Learning that her app is causing people to lose their business, Andrea feels guilty and has no problem going behind her dad’s back to corrupt the app.
  • After all the trouble, Molly and Andrea have a nice treat together and Andrea promises to use her coding for good purposes.

    A Doll to Die For

    Frightmares on Main Street
  • Ollie in general makes a lot of these as he has his Heel Realization on his hatred of ghosts:
    • Even after all the time that has passed since the school dance, Ollie still hasn't ratted out Scratch to his family, showing that even though he still wasn't full-on trusting ghosts, he already had begun to doubt his beliefs.
    • While it's horribly misguided, wrong and earns him a call-out from Molly, Ollie takes measures to try and "save" Molly from Scratch when he believes the latter to be controlling/cursing her showing that he truly cares about Molly.
    • Despite having Scratch at his mercy several times, Ollie hesitates greatly due to his budding doubts and when Scratch tells him that he and Molly are legitimately friends.
    • After the misunderstanding is cleared and he frees Scratch, Molly and Ollie hold hands and later goof together with Scratch, to Scratch's annoyance.
    • Counts as tearjerker too, but when his family announces that they will not stop trying to hunt ghosts even after nobody believed them after the Frightmare attack, Ollie can be seen distraught at his family still being dead-set on catching ghosts.
  • When the Frightmares attack and Scratch, Geoff, Jeff and other ghosts end up pinned by the Chens' goo weapons, Geoff urges Molly to go save (his precious) Scratch; though it also turns funny when Jeff tells him they got to talk on his obsession with Scratch.
  • Geoff apologizes to Ollie for scaring him, saying he legitimately felt bad for traumatizing him and gives him a big hug which manages to cheer up Ollie greatly.

    The Unhaunting of Brighton Video
  • Molly and Libby vote Ollie into the Ghostfriends despite Scratch's protests. Contrasting from Scratch, they are supportive of Ollie on his first mission.
  • Ollie and Blair's friendship throughout the episode.
    • Blair is the first ghost he gets along well with from the start and there is no direct hostility between them.
    • Ollie defends Blair, understanding she doesn't want to deal with her painful past. She in turn allows him to stay at the video store with her.
    • The two of them watch horror movies together.
    • After hearing Blair's backstory, Ollie sympathizes with her for making mistakes and offers to help her face her mistakes.
  • Doubles as Tearjerker, but the reason Blair opens up about her past was because Ollie opens up about feeling guilty for his own past as a ghost hunter with Molly ensuring him he's on his way to become a better person.
  • The Ghostfriends help Blair find closure with her past by playing pretend running the store, allowing her to finally return the tape. The concept of it is just so endearing!
  • Scratch finally accepts Ollie as a Ghostfriend. Ollie then hugs him (even shedding Tears of Joy) and an embarrassed Scratch pats his back.
    • And the smile on Ollie's face as he hugs Scratch is absolutely precious.

    100% Molly McGee
  • Molly's family comes to console her about her "not being Thai enough" by letting her know that they're not perfect either and have insecurities of their own, and reassuring her that it doesn't mean that she should feel ashamed of who she is.

    Nin-dependence
  • Even if they were overbearing, the McGees' efforts to keep Grandma Nin safe from harm were due to genuine concern for her well-being. It's understandable, as she is a senior and had just injured herself.

    Like Father Like Libby
  • Libby's song, "Me and My Dad" in which she sings all about the time she looks forward to spending with him. Becomes a tearjerker when she finds out what he turned out to be.
  • Leah comforts Libby saying that her father is a fool for being so focused on his book, and “chasing miracles”, and too blind to see his greatest one is his daughter. Libby hugs her mother and thanking her for always being there for her.

    Let's Play Turnipball!
  • While the Perfektborg team may appear to be competitive, that's actually just their game faces. In reality, they're super friendly, offering Brighton's team kringles as free treats and even agreeing to throw the game just so Brighton can win for once. When they end up winning anyway (due to Ollie unwittingly hitting the turnipball into the Sudden Death Zone), they're genuinely saddened and vow to try harder to lose next year.
  • Perfektborg's Swedish Meatball mascot embraces Brighton's Turnip mascot at the end of a fierce rivalry. Scratch, currently possessing the latter, is touched.

    The Ghost IS Molly McGee
  • For all the silliness and how easily bought off Alistair, Grimbella and Lucretia are by churros? It is nice to watch Molly go out of her way to find what would make Bartholomew truly happy. As it turns out? All Bart really wanted was to be respected for doing his work and for Scratch to stop eating food at his desk.

    All In The Mind
  • Molly finally learns about Adia, Scratch's former best friend. She relates easily to Scratch's consequent fear of losing friends (as she had to leave friends behind every time her family moved) and assures him that she isn't going anywhere.

    Davenport's in Demise
  • Molly supporting Andrea throughout her whole identity crisis, doing all she can to help her regain her status as an influencer.
  • How does Andrea's crisis get resolved? When she breaks down on camera and exposes her own vulnerabilities, her fans flood her stream with messages of support and love.

    Web of Lies
  • Darryl's love for his pet tarantula Heidi Hairylegs is on full display. Not only did he create a soft, cushiony bubble wrap nest for her to safely molt, but he insisted nobody go down in the basement while she molts because it is a very self-conscious and personal thing for her.

    Kenny's Falling Star
  • Kenny pours his heart out when he sings in front of the press, proving his successful rehabilitation. They all cheer for the song in full acceptance, and even his eagle, Stripes, returns to him.

    Fit to Print
  • Although the staff of the Brighton Middle School Bugle are sad about its shutdown, Molly's efforts to revive it still garner applause from all of them.
Molly: Guys! You know I've always wanted a Slow Clap just for me!

    The Grand Gesture
  • The episode ends with Molly finally telling Ollie that she wants them to become an Official Couple, and Ollie admits that he wants the same.
    • They start Holding Hands, which is so momentous that it restores all of the electricity to a blacked-out Brighton.
  • Scratch seems to have finally warmed up to Ollie, in the very least, now being supportive of him and Molly being together. He and Libby help Molly with the failed Grand Romantic Gesture, and celebrates with Libby at the end when they finally do get together.
    • In the Holding Hands shot, Darryl looks proud/happy to see his sister so happy.

    The Many Lives of Scratch
  • With Scratch having no memory of his death (or the day it took place), his friends and family all throw him a surprise, impromptu death day party. Though skeptical at first, Scratch is touched that they would go to such lengths to make him happy.
  • Libby's story has Molly as Scratch's sister, implying that he either sees her as a sister, or that Libby considers them close enough to be like siblings, or both.

    Alaka-Sham!
  • When Darryl sees Irving and his assistant at the end of their ropes, he decides to put an end to his own scheme and lets Irving win the competition. Scratch even helps.

    White Christmess
  • After Molly frantically watches the chances of snow fall rapidly throughout the day, Scratch flies up into space to freeze into snowflakes for her. Molly is overjoyed and calls it the "best gift ever".

    Perfect Day
  • Molly's despondent sit inside a pothole gets misconstrued as activism, inspiring her family, her friends, and the rest of the town to come together and fix the pothole, along with several others. Molly's day has suddenly become everything she wanted from it, restoring her positiveity.

    The End
  • The last thing Todd sees before Scratch fuses with him is Molly. Considering how Molly was the catalyst for Scratch's determination to live his life to the fullest, it's a sweet way of bringing the story full circle.
  • A bittersweet one, but Scratch remembers his past life and, with some encouragement from Molly, he remerges with Todd at the cost of losing his memories as a ghost. However, the impact Molly had on him is still there and as bright as ever; As Todd walks down the sidewalk to the bus stop, he's shown to be far more happy and jovial than he or Scratch ever has been throughout the show, happily humming and dancing as he goes about his day while greeting anyone he comes across, Libby and the McGees included.
    • Although Scratch may no longer remember his adventures with Molly and the others, there are hints that this may not completely be the case since he uses some of her catchphrases such as "sweet baby corn" and "enhappify". Not to mention he also refers to Molly as "Moll" when they part ways despite her being a stranger to him at that point.
  • Having sold his house and quit his job, a rejuvenated Todd leaves Brighton to travel around the world. The ending credits to the episode show postcards consisting of his travels, and he's having the time of his life for the first time in what is assumed to be a very long while. As if that wasn't sweet enough, what's the last postcard a picture of? Todd and Adia finally reuniting with each other with a warm embrace.

The Ghost and Molly McGee's Spring Shorts-tacular
  • After Molly forces Scratch to take part in her presentation of shorts, she lets him open the mystery egg she had been tempting him with. It turns out to be a hibernation kit for the ghost hibernation that he went on about.
  • When Scratch starts to speak up after that, Molly starts to ask him if ghost hibernation isn't real. While Scratch assures her it is, he also goes on to ask if she would like to actually spend time with him in the spring.
