Oswald the Lucky Rabbit makes a cameo in the short, finally appearing on the big screen for the first time in a little under a century!
The whole short is this, as it is a celebration of Disney's past, present and future, as well as a love letter to the journey animation has taken.
Mickey and Minnie's reunion at the end.
The fact that Mickey's lines are made up entirely of sound bites from Walt's original recordings. Originally, the clips were intended to be placeholder audio to be replaced by another voice actor later on, but they were left in to keep the authenticity of 1920's era Mickey. It truly works in spades.
The same is true with Billy Bletcher and Marcellite Garner as Peg Leg Pete and Minnie Mouse respectively.
