  • Swing chairs in the High Court inside Gokkan? Well that's because the swing chairs are representing plates for a Weighing Scale. The same scale also appears outside of the castle at the entrance to the courtroom. The primary theme about Gokkan is it's status of the planet's law hub, with the chairs being Swing Chairs of Justice
  • Everyone's "negative" aspect is played in a positive way and they show it! To sum up:
    • Gira uses his "Evil King" persona as a way to both show his intent to defy kings that have a twisted sense of justice and to test what kind of kings they are.
    • Yanma may be arrogant, but that also shows how unbending his will is, and his willingness to see others act to prove their worth instead of talking.
    • Hymeno puts her desires on high priority, but also makes use of her own desires to improve other people's lives and coax them into pursuing their own desires.
    • Kaguragi's habit of lying and deceit are always a means to an (good) end, be it pretending to side with Racules to get Rita on the case of Gira, or use Exact Words to stop the Bugnarok from attacking his Kingdom. And as he makes it clear, he is not afraid of being considered a traitor or a liar if it means protecting his people.
    • Rita prioritizes justice above all else, and that alone is what drives them to be thorough in their investigation even if it betrays their initial conviction of them.
    • Jeramie has a bad habit of being cryptic and expecting people to understand what is "in-between the lines". While this did bite him back eventually, on the long run it was necessary for him to manipulate both Bognaarok and Humans in cooperating and helping his unsealing.
    • Rcules combines aspects of the others by establishing himself in the series as a Villain with Good Publicity willing to sacrifice others for the good of his kingdom. Despite making himself the most hated man on Tikyuu once his crimes are exposed, Rcules was playing a long game to weasel his way into Dagded's graces so he can eventually kill him and end the threat he poses on his world.
  • Gira and Racules' choice of outfits in the first half of the series reflects their respective personalities. Gira originally wore the red and black mantle he took from Racules over his white tunic, reflecting his self-proclaimed evil king persona while also showing his innately good heart. Racules wore red and black even without the mantle, showing his amoral, power-hungry personality. In the second half, Gira wore his brother's attire while Racules transitions to a blue and black version of his outfit, showing how Gira has taken over as the rightful ruler of Shugoddam while Racules' kingly ambitions rely on the Galactinsects (whose leader Dagded has blue feature prominently on his outfit) as support.
    • After Racules is revealed to have been Good All Along, his attire resembles Gira's clothing in the first part.
  • Kaguragi handing Racules the actual poison in #8 may have been a calculated move - he's counting on Racules not using it where he can be easily spotted, and instead taking the fight outside of city limits, while also making it easier for our heroes to act.
    • Could also be that Kaguragi knows more about Racles than he gives, or even that he was aware of Gerojim all along, and decided to trust him with the poison knowing who would be the real victim of it.

  • Jeramie is the only King-Ohger with a main Shugod that can't fly. This reflects how he is in some ways more " grounded" than the other King-Ohgers who are the kings (and in Gira's case, the long-lost heir to his throne). It also fits with him being part Bognaarok, a species that lives underground.
    • It also makes sense with his motif and Bognaarok half: like a spider spins their web, Jeramie spins his stories. And like the stories he is so obsessed with, a web can stay well after the spider leaves it, sometimes containing carcasses of their prey, telling a story of how they lived.

  • While both Husty brothers can use a Golden Super Mode, Ohkuwagata Ohger retains the silver undersuit of his default form, while the normal Kuwagata Ohger has it switched for a golden undersuit. It's not just due to budgetary constraints; Ohkuwagata Ohger's silver undersuit is a clear Mark of Shame, while normal Kuwagata Ohger gets a representation of his true heroic self.
    • It also shows that King Ohkuwagata Ohger is in second place to King Kuwagata Ohger, as silver is often portrayed as a lower rank than gold as seen with awards medals.
  • The OhgerCalibur ZERO only has the Kuwagata horn section of the regular OhgerCalibur, with the other sections absent entirely. While the out-of-universe reason is that the OhgerCalibur serves as a unified Transformation Trinket for the core five, it also symbolizes the fact that Racules chooses to work alone due to his sense of pride and superiority, while Gira takes pains to actually bond with the other monarchs, drawing them to his cause.
    • The Movie Adventure Heaven reveals that Reiniol Husty, the first king of Shugoddam and therefore Gira's and Racules' ancestor has an OhgerCalibur ZERO of his own. Not only does it show that it's a prototype for the regular OhgerCaliburs, Reiniol is also revealed to be a Well-Intentioned Extremist who thinks he alone can solve the issues plaguing Tikyū, just like his descendant Racules.
  • The Blue Ranger being more Hot-Blooded than the Red Ranger may seem ridiculous at first, but anyone who knows the chemistry of flames can tell how it makes sense; on a gas flame, blue flames are hotter than red flames. MUCH hotter. Yellow flames sit right in the middle of the scale, and considering how Hymeno flip-flops through her anger issues and selflessness, she instantly serves as the middleman (or woman, in this case) for Yanma and Gira.
  • The placement of the aides within God King-Ohger’s components has some thought put into it:
    • Shiokara: Guardian Rolling's debut fight was in N'kosopa, and Shiokara is the right-hand man of Yanma, the president of N'kosopa.
    • Akka, Usuba and Mayuta: As part of the team that modified King-Ohger to be a Motion-Capture Mecha, they get placed in God Kumo and the two God Tentou, meaning that they get to add the finishing touches to the formation.
    • Sebastian: Given Hymeno’s obsession with God Scorpion, it makes sense that the pilot is none other than the person in Ishabana that she trusts the most to be her main assistant.
    • Cleo: Guardian Snail first combined with King-Ohger in Ishabana’s (and by extension, Cleo’s) debut.
    • Kuroda: Since God Kabuto was officially gifted to Toufu, Kuroda has more right to it than everyone other than Kaguragi and Suzume.
    • Morphonia: God Hopper’s debut fight was in her Day in the Limelight.
    • Gerojim: Guardian Pede is one of his master Jeramie’s Guardian Weapons.
    • Boone: God Ant is the smallest piece of the combination, matches Boone's status he shares with Kogane as low-ranking peasants who nonetheless are part of the greater picture.
    • Douga: Guardian Heracles forms the weapon for King Caucasuskabuto, matching Douga’s status as the Shugoddam King’s guard captain.
    • Kofuki: He helped activate God Caucasuskabuto, so it’s only fair that he pilot it.
  • Jeramie started off as a Heroic Neutral character before joining the King-Ohgers. When he becomes the king of the Bognaarok in #26, he requests for his new kingdom to join the Quintet Alliance, which in a meta sense turns the Bognaarok into the Sixth Ranger of the alliance and therefore reflects plots where the Sixth Ranger started out as a villain before joining the heroes.
  • With the reveal that the Bugnarak and Humans have a similar DNA, and that the Bugnarak turned this way from consuming Shugod souls, this better explains how Jeramie could even be born in the first place, as there had to be a reason the two species are compatible.
  • The reused sets of the Overlords' hideout at Helheim makes a lot of sense with The Reveal being extremely similar to Gaim's Reveal in that The Overlords were once humans before eating the Golden Fruit, altering their DNA to be more monstrous, not unlike how the Bugnaarok ate the similarly gold Shugod Souls and became bugs as a result.
  • Kamejim's characterization as an unctuous manipulator and Dirty Coward sticks out like a sore thumb among the straightforward and Leeroy Jenkins-like Bognaarok, but it starts making more sense once his allegiance to the Galactinsects is revealed. Their MO of manipulating two sides into engaging in a Forever War is definitely more up his alley.
  • It is clear that Jeramie's transformation and mask are all in relation to Nephila's love to her son, and the power of love overall:
    • His mask made him easy to be mistaken for Bugnarook, and Nephila was the one raising him as a child among the bugnarook.
    • When Nephila died, she left him the Venomix Shooter as a memento.
    • To produce the keys with which he could remove his mask, the Souls of God Kabuto, God Scorpion, and God Hopper were necessary without sacrificing any of them. And what do they have going there? A Love Triangle.
    • Given the keys were produced with the power of Love, not only does this frees him from his mask but also gives him the weapons with which to fight.
    • To conclude, Love is what protected him, Love is what was needed to free him, Love is what gives him the power to fight for peace.
  • Dagded claims that Earth is the worst place he can think of. He's not wrong, given that thanks to his group's interference, the Deboth Army takeover results in a place that unless you're particularly brave or lucky would leave you nothing but mystery meat in the streets.
  • It makes sense why a dinosaur-themed series would have a bug-themed series as a sequel; there were a large number of bugs that lived amongst the dinosaurs, and unlike dinosaurs, their modern-day descendants are much more similar to their prehistoric counterparts, with the only difference being size.
    • Additionally, while the Kyoryugers and King-Ohgers' Animal Motifs may seem trivial at first, there are two card-based arcade games produced by Sega: one is Koudai Ouja Kyoryu King, and the other is Kouchuu Ouja Mushi King.
    • An easier connection is made when taking a look at Shugod Souls: they look like insects trapped in amber. Insects trapped in Amber are not only important to paleontology, furthering the connection with dinosaurs, but were also an important plot piece in Jurassic Park, a movie about bringing dinosaurs back to life using DNA contained in the blood found inside a mosquito trapped in amber.
    • Why make the series a sequel to Kyoryuger specifically? Because the Kyoryugers are the only dinosaur-themed sentai team still active at their fullest; the Zyurangers were Fish out of Temporal Water and their souls have made it to heaven, and they currently don't have much of a reason to return to action full-time; the Abarangers, as seen in their 20th-anniversary film, are still able to return to action, but their mecha were unable to join them physically; finally, the Ryusoulgers' powers are derived from their mecha, all of which are currently gone for good and leaving the entire team powerless; the Kyoryugers, however, not only have almost every main team member active but all of their mecha are present and intact.
  • In #35, the monarchs ponder on how Hillbill can take over a nation of people wearing earphones, but that global entrapment through television screens is impossible. This makes sense: Not everyone's on their television all the time and the volume on a set is generalized; making it harder to pick up fine-tuned sounds of specific frequencies. Headphones meanwhile are designed with noise-amplification and sound-catching in-mind; making it all too easy to hear the whispers of Mind Control. Simply put, the internet-oriented Tomorrow Land of N'Kosopa is the only nation Hillbill could've influenced on such a large scale. It was practically designed to be hijacked.
  • There's a simple reason why Kaguragi didn't go toady and attempt to prostrate to the Galactinsects like he did Racules, per Yanma's musings. Racules is/was a schemer who would always crave more power and was thus an excellent mold for Kaguragi's ability to play Realpolitik. The Galactinsects are here only to destroy and have fun - Tikyu's just a playground to them and given the heroes were far beneath them at this point, Kaguragi would've had nothing to offer them that they couldn't just take. Thus, being The Social Expert didn't matter here. Any attempt at Playing Both Sides would be grossly one-sided and would've just led to an early grave.
  • Grodie was known for using undead Semi (Cicada) Shugods during the Fury of the Gods. He spends seventeen years between Karras sealing him and his fellow Galactinsects undoing his seal, evoking the imagery of the seventeen-year cicada.
  • It makes perfect sense why Hymeno and Kaguragi take well to King Kyoryuzin's Dance Battler combat style; both of their personalities mean that dancing is a major part of their lives, and Kyoryuger is laden with references to samba dancing, carried over through Gabutyra, and samba dancing is heavily-reliant fancy footwork. Guess which of the primary Shugods form the legs of the combination?
  • Kamejim's plot to impersonate Hymeno and kill a suitor after marrying them to create chaos in Ishbana makes sense when you consider that female Praying Mantises eat their mates after courtship.
  • Minongan telling Rita that the two of them aren't so different after all makes sense when you realize that butterflies and bagworms, which are moths, are both in the order Lepidoptera.
  • The Jesters the Monarchs fights in #39 are all related to them in some form:
    • When Goma caused the body swap, Gira and Jeramie got along the most out of all monarchs, and stuck close all the time. In other words: Goma's trick only served to bring these two closer than they already were.
    • Kamejin and Kaguragi are both schemers and deceivers who succeeded into fooling everyone, specially Racles.
    • Grodie and Hymeno both used God Scorpion's venom for their own devices, and both actually met face-to-face during the Fury of Gods.
    • Minongan and Rita both have a side to them that they don't want to or are not ready to expose to others, alongside the above fridge of them being both related to the order of Lepidoptera.
    • Hilbil used N'Kosopa's communication systems to take over, and Yanma was responsible for such technology existing either way.
  • Racules letting the King-Ohgers defeat Goma in place of Hilbil wasn't just to secure himself a place among the Galactinsects, but also a way to ensure Hilbil could use her compelling voice to evacuate a portion of Tikyu's population, should his plan to bring down Dagded go awry.
  • Rcules being Good All Along reveals several plot points that contextualize many earlier scenes.
    • The real Boshimar being shown to be a genuine friend to both Rcules and Gira explains why Rcules was livid when he learned Kamejim killed Boshimar and assumed his form for the first 20 episodes. It justifies Rcules putting on Nightmare Face upon realizing someone he thought a close confidant was actually an imposter who killed the real confident and posed as him.
    • The episode explains just how Gira was created by Dagded while also being related to Rcules by blood. Dagded impregnated Rcules' mother in order to create a weapon to defeat the Bognaarok and the result was Gira. Both of them indeed are related, albeit through sharing a mother.
    • Gira ingesting God Kuwagata's Shugod Soul in the form of rainbow juririra is shown to cause memory loss. This not only explains why Gira doesn't remember much of his time at Caucasus Kabuto Castle as a child, but also explains why eating rainbow juririra was his only strong memory of said time and why there was no information on Rainbow Jururira anywhere.
    • Back in #26, Gerojim claimed that eating Shugod Souls shortened their lifespan, yet there were many of them with nearly a millennia of life, so how could they be dead? Causus clarifies in that eating Arthropod lifeforms (the Shugods) causes gradual memory loss and can eventually erase or overwrite all their memory.
    • Rcules commissioned the completion of King-Ohger ZERO not only as a way to create a set of artificial Shugods that Dagded had no power over, but also because he knew Gira had God Kuwagata's Shugod Soul within him through eating Rainbow Juririra. His chances of awakening God Kuwagata were next to none anyway, so he might as well just create his own version.
    • Since Rcules already knew that Gira was Dagded's creation and shared his creator's immortality, this also means that he had no problem going all out against Gira in their battles during the first arc since he knew full well that Gira would survive no matter what he threw at him.
    • Rcules letting Suzume stay in Shugoddam with him after taking over the planet despite her earlier betrayal makes much more sense with the revelation that Suzume was already his Secret-Keeper since their wedding.
  • Causus Husty having a far more callous attitude towards Gira is explained by the fact that Gira was created when Dagded impregnated Causus' wife, and Gira's birth caused the death of his mother. Not only did Causus lose his wife to the birth of the weapon he had envisioned would bring Dagded down, but Gira isn't even his biological son.
  • Given that the Husty family has had to play a two-faced role, both as the protectors of humanity and loyal vassals to the Galactinsects, it's possible that Gira's Demon King persona was his attempt to mimic the role as he saw from Corsus, albeit without the refinement one would expect from a prince trained for the role.
  • While Jeramie notes that each of the Monarch's Heirloom has a power that is detrimental to their kingdom, they can so be used in ways that would benefit their kingdom:
    • Yanma's gives him control over electricity, which is useful in powering up computers when used moderately.
    • Rita's gives them control over ice, which is extremely useful for preserving evidence or bodies for use in later trials.
    • Kaguragi's gives him control over fire, which is crucial in culinary practices.
    • Jeramie's gives him eternal life, which for someone obsessed with stories would mean he could read and chronicle all of them. At the same time, it serves as a reminder of the value of life itself for all, especially the Bognaarok who were previously ruled by a Death Seeker.
    • Hymeno's allows her to take life, which any doctor would surely hate if it weren't for the fact that dead bodies were often used in understanding illnesses and causes of death to procure a way to heal. At the same time, it reminds her that the finality of death is what makes living beautiful.
  • Their powers being detrimental to their kingdom brings a double meaning to the name of King's Proof given that they intended to ensure they wouldn't abuse their powers. As in they're kingproof.
  • Rcules not being a part of the legend of King-Ohger and the conflict against the Bugnaarok can be symbolic of him rejecting the role of a hero and not playing Dagded's game and thus refusing to be part of a legend, which he knows is just a sham made to make more entertainment for the Galacticinsect King.
Fridge Horror
  • In the Kyoryuger crossover, Evil!Gira is wielding the OhgerCalibur ZERO and Racules is nowhere to be found. Gira must've killed his own brother for it.
