A Made-for-TV Movie horror directed by Darrell Roodt that has a vampire (Langley Kirkwood) terrorizing a ship in space.

The movie stars Casper Van Dien, Erika Eleniak, Coolio, Alexandra Kamp, Grant Swanby, Tiny Lister, and Udo Kier.

It was released on December 7, 2004.

Tropes for the film:

  • Anti-Climax: The protagonists slam a door shut on Orlock's arm, cutting it off, and he breaks down weeping and screaming like a wuss.
  • Beat It by Compulsion: Memorably subverted. They've got the counter-intuitively named Orlock chained up, covered with knotted string and surrounded by spilled rice. When he gets released he reveals that he'd already undone the knots and counted all the rice, so there's nothing to stop him from murdering them all.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Captain Van Helsing is treated as the hero through most of the movie but when the time comes for the final showdown he is beaten and turned into a vampire offscreen by Orlock, leaving Aurora and Humvee to finish the job.
  • Everything in Space Is a Galaxy: The movie is set in a region of space inconsistently referred to as the Carpathian System and the Carpathian Galaxy.
  • Faux Affably Evil: 187 and Orlock himself keep their polite facade even while trying to kill the main crew.
  • Heroic Lineage: Played with but ultimately subverted. Captain Van Helsing is descended from the original Van Helsing but does not have the talent for vampire hunting his ancestor did.
  • Primal Stance: Coolio as The Dragon.
  • Robot Girl: Aurora is revealed to be a Ridiculously Human Robot. She is human in appearance, has a complete range of emotions and doesn't seem to have any Super-Strength or Super-Toughness, so is more or less indistinguishable from a regular human.
  • Sexbot: At the end Aurora and Humvee accept their doom, Aurora reveals she used to be a sex robot so Humvee picks her up and the ship explodes in a very poor special effect.
  • Small Universe After All: Movie is set in a region of space inconsistently referred to as the Carpathian System and the Carpathian Galaxy.
  • Voodoo Shark: About two thirds of the way through the movie, we learn that Vampires are actually aliens who come from the planet (?) Transylvania. Dracula is apparently the Last of His Kind and seeks to come to Earth, and recognizes Captain Van Helsing as the descendant of the original Van Helsing who defeated him all those centuries ago. The problem is: this would mean Dracula came to Earth at some point (all by himself, for no apparent reason), got defeated by the original Van Helsing, then traveled back to Planet Transylvania, but now wants to go back to Earth again now that his world is dying. What?
