     Squad Three in General

Squad Three in My Superhero Academy

Rebecca: You IDIOT! Do you realize what you've just done?! You've just brought the full force of this place down on us! These are people who, might I remind you, have already brutally murdered an experienced hero! I know you've deluded yourself into thinking that you're invincible, but what about Mari and Emily?! They've only been doing this for a couple months!!
Iona: This is why the whispers of Fate brought me here! My vengeance is at hand! I will finally be able to close this chapter, and move on with my life! All I need to do is destroy you and all your little friends! I will be FREE!
Vivian: I don't feel pain and I've been tinkering with this body for *months.* This is my ninth set of hands. After I beat you, you moronic arshole, I'll just throw these in the dumpster. And lastly that this plan was not very well considered. I'm recording and storing this fight, so about...now everyone in the city know that you, whoever you are, are here. So no surprise, no lasting damage. You gain nothing from this, you putrid bellend, since you also still don't know a fraction of what I can, and will, do to you.
Iuvem: I am Iuvem Dias, *nom* but I won't eat you if you want to refer to me as Jupiter. *nom* Both of these names aren't my true name, but you Earthlings wouldn't...*nom*...really "understand" it, unless you've got the right skills, so it's fine...
Mason: This is it...THIS IS IT. This is your big moment. Here, this is where your start as a hero BEGINS. You have your Genesis Breaker. You have your SUIT. You have your big genius brain. This...is where your new life BEGINS.
Cole: ...Stop! Just...just stop. I can't lose someone like this.
Wilma: I was gonna say you guys should run for the hills while I fight him again, but...let's be honest, that's not happening.

The new Squad 3, inheriting much of the old squad 4, is naturally a mass of individuals. That's their main characteristic really. This year the lack of couples only furthered the fragmentation.
  • Hufflepuff House: As mentioned, squad 4 is a mass of individuals as close as any random sample of 6 people or so on the subway.

    Rebecca Raleigh/Pollutrix
Player: PossiblyQuiteInsane

Rebecca displays of love of superheroes that borders on obsession, and is driven by an intense excitement at becoming one herself. She has desired to be a superhero and idealized them from a very young age, and her response when a swamp spirit bonded with her without her consent, giving her powers in the process, was only of momentary anger before Rebecca delightfully embraced her new opportunity to go superheroing. Rebecca's bond with Elly has given her power of 'anything putrid or filthy', and she had the added benefit of being the only student of Class 1 to arrive with her morals and priorities more or less straight—at least for becoming a superhero in Saint's mold.

Tropes
  • Apocalypse Maiden: The Lethal Legion and some inter-dimensional conquerors show interest in making Rebecca their plaguemaster/ Doomsday Device to threaten the world with unstoppable pestilence.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: Rebecca has never wanted to be anything but a superhero.
  • The Cape: For a long time, the closest Class 1 had to an Ideal Hero and the only one who attended the school to follow the trail of Saint and the others and be a hero for its own sake. Saint himself said "[Rebecca had] more of a right to be [at the academy] than half of the students [there]." Even now, she's the shining cape of squad 3 and the straight man.
  • Elemental Powers: Rebecca controls those things filthy and putrid.
    • Make Them Rot: Rebecca's pollution is super effective against plant life—as Ever Green found out. Rebecca being Rebecca, she took the hit almost as hard as Ever Green.
    • Walking Wasteland: Rebecca's touch putrefies water, even when she's drinking it. She has to put in active effort not to spoil everything around her, especially at breakfast and lunch hour. She's still not allowed in restaurants these days.
  • Heroic BSoD: Not unlike Lucy, is prone to self-blame, no matter her actual culpability in an incident. As late as the tournament arc she blames herself for the lost people in the Outdoor Pool incident. note  At the tournament itself, she blames herself for Victoria being bitten by a werewolf—whom Rebecca had never met that just happened to cross the finish line at that time and go into a frenzy at Rebecca's very smell. Said werewolf, Rachel, had also missed her shots, which were supposed to prevent the whole spread of lycanthropy thing.
  • The Leader: Shows traits of this around the Outdoor Pool arc, and not of a soft leader either. Even before and after this incident, Rebecca is Class 1's biggest cape.

     Vivian
Player: Tropers/Booky

     Cole Streiss
Player: Nick The Swing The Multiverse Traveler

  • A God I Am Not: His tack - he has tremendous amounts of power, yes. But this does not give him the right to play god, and he is committed to not using it cruelly. He completely rejects any notion of being superior or better than the average person.
  • Alien Geometry: Created a flower out of energy for Evelyn...a flower that is much, much bigger on the inside. He doesn't even know about that latter part.
  • Alternate Self: Cole even remembers several alternate selves to the students of Saint University...some of whom were, awkwardly enough, his enemies. It makes socializing with the class rather strange for him.
  • Arch-Enemy: Alpha-Leunis is always his foe whenever the two encounter each other, though Ignis is a more recurring threat to him. Ignis is stated to have followed and manipulated forces against Cole throughout his dimensional travels. Even going as far as impersonating Cole so as to screw with him.
  • Badass Boast: Cole seems to be fond of them. His reaction to Hawk calling him a liar is a cheerful "You don't know me. But when this is over, you will." True to his word, he stomped Hawk into the ground.
  • Child Soldiers: Given he was involved with a group called Clan Asher, fighting against Alpha-Leunis when Cole was just 14. The situation was really just that bad.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Cole can be a bit of a wise-ass, but his heart is very much in the right place.
  • Dimensional Traveler: He's been around the multiversal block. Sometimes he travels the 'verse intentionally, other times less so.
  • Fashion Dissonance: Cole is basically the living embodiment of 2004-2005 fashion. Everything's tight, there's denim, boots...
  • Good Is Not Soft: Known for his commitment to freedom and fiercely anti-authoritarian, Cole may not wantonly employ deadly force and prefers solving things without it, but he's certainly not opposed to deadly force. As he is wont to point out, he's a freedom fighter / terrorist. If he has to use lethal force, he absolutely will. Not even purely physical lethal force; if he thinks he can save lives by simply shutting your mind off, he will.
  • Handsome Lech: Cole has a bit of a history of involvement with the opposite sex. However, he's still remarkably chivalrous about his advances, and keeps things from being creepy.
  • La RĂ©sistance: Was involved in one against Alpha-Leunis, the cruel overlord of his original world.
  • Megaton Punch: By concentrating his psionic power into his arms, he can deliver an enormously powerful punch.
  • Power Incontinence: His powers heavily shift from high to low randomly - he has next to no control over them.
  • Psychic Powers: Singularly powerful ones - if things align properly, Cole is overwhelmingly powerful, able to rearrange atoms, psychically communicate en masse, travel the multiverse casually...
    • Unskilled, but Strong: But Cole is nothing if not the epitome of high power, poor control. To the extent that his powers are handled by a random number generator.
  • Reality Warper: At his highest levels of power. When you can casually take a stroll through the multiverse, you're this.

     Wilma

     Iona Bassano (Hecate)

     Mason Bridges

One of the new students of Saint University and Squad 1, Mason Bridges comes from a family of scientists who study the various dimensions and a conventional way to travel between then, when Mason's mom passed he took the technology that they'd been working on, a kind of suit designed to withstand the Elemental Planes, and went to Saint Academy to find a way to make a name for himself, and a way to traverse the planes and keep his parents dream alive.
