These are the characters that belong to the guild, Howling Wolf. Little is known about the guild itself.

Elizabeth Saturn
A spear wielding scantily clad blue haired woman who can jump really well if the Grand Magic Games are any indication. She's married to Kyle.
- Lunacy: Like Kyle, her magic is moon-themed.
Kyle Regent
A wisecracking sword mage with long, dark hair that resembles Yuri Lowell. He is married to Elizabeth Saturn.
- Animal Motifs: While the guild as a whole has the wolf, he and Elizabeth's technics are the most wolf-themed.
- Berserk Button: While he won't show it at first, hurting his wife is this. Blue Pegasus' team found out the hard way.
- Born Unlucky: It's been noted how Kyle has the devil's luck very often.
- Casual Danger Dialogue: He loves talking in the middle of fights.
- Cool Sword: His sword was made by Priscilla Starkwing.
- Lunacy: His magic is moon-themed and very powerful.
Li Xingke
A former S-class mage from Knightmare Frame. He apparently is well-versed in a whip-style of magic. He departs for Howling Wolf with Tianzi at the end of the Black Knights arc.
- Shock and Awe: His Chain Lightning attack.
Lucas Senshiro
A blond sword and shield wielder. He is friends to both Kyle and Liz.
Sayoko Shinozaki
The guild master of Howling Wolf.
- Demoted to Extra: Of all the members of Howling Wolf, she has done the least since Sylvas Island arc, even as guild master.
Tianzi/Jiang Lihua
A former member of Knightmare Frame. The AU counterpart to Empress Tianzi from the Chinese Federation. Her real name is Jiang Lihua, but Xingke still has everyone call her Tianzi. The reason for that is because she was taken out of an orphanage and made into a puppet ruler by a dark wizard named Garna, who Kaguya then had Tohdoh, Nagisa and Xingke dispatch and had the three of them bring her and Tianzi to Fiore where they now reside. She leaves with Xingke after Marianne's Execution for Howling Wolf.
In X788, she has completely come into her own with regards to her magic, which is Spirit Manipulation Magic, which lets her control the unseen tiny spirits that pour in over from the spirit realm, the same realm where the kami that are spoken of in God Slayer Magic reside, but these spirits are too weak to provide that kind of boost so they work together in large hordes to boost the effects of those who channel them. Tianzi is noted for the spirits willingly follow her and being able to use elements outside the basic four: fire, water, wind and earth.
- Badass Adorable: It's the reason she fights Anya, the other moe blob in the series during the Grand Magic Games. Both prove to be equally cute and badass with Tianzi even able to keep up with Anya's dragon force.
- Beware the Nice Ones: When driven far enough, she can use her powers to slaughter her enemies, just ask the eunuchs, oh wait, you can't.
- Child Prodigy: Though it's more like Teen Prodigy given her age. Tianzi's magic is very rare and she's able to do things that most adults would find next to impossible.
- Elemental Powers: However, given she has to always have the spirits nearby, her most prominent three are light, wind, and earth.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Deconstructed. Her real name is Jiang Lihua, but the narration refers to her as Tianzi. When she was little, due to the events that made her a puppet ruler she only wanted to be called Tianzi. Now that she's grown up a little, only Xingke still calls her Tianzi. Everyone else calls her Jiang or, in Zangetsu's case, Miss Lihua.
- Pay Evil unto Evil: While the way she killed the eunuchs was pretty brutal, they were all scumbags who nearly killed her friends, so you don't feel very sorry for them.
- Took a Level in Badass: In chapter 126, Tianzi was described as previously being incapable of accomplishing much of anything and always crying when she got mildly injured. Now she's capable of standing on par and overpowering Nivea Feathermane, Fighting Spirit's Number Two.
- Yamato Nadeshiko: Described as being one as of her appearance in X788.
Zhou Xianglin
Li Xingke's subordinate from canon. Her magic is Elemental Fist Magic.
- Bare-Fisted Monk: Her attacks are only imbued with elemental attacks and she uses raw martial arts otherwise. As well as elemental based Ki Manipulation.
- Elemental Powers: Her fighting style revolves around using multiple elements to attack her opponent.
