Locked Pages: Lock, UnLock and Edit requests

Go To

This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:

  • creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
  • moving discussion pages
  • moving reviews

Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
  2. Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
  3. If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
  4. We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
  5. If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
  6. If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
  7. To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
  8. Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
  9. Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
  10. Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

@ My Timing Is Off, He constantly uses the word "evil", he lives in "The Castle Of Evil", and he asks to do an "evil Aflac Duck" in the Aflac duck audition sketch.

[up] No, I am suggesting why the Evil Gamer should be listed as a Card-Carrying Villain on the Irate gamer page (which is locked).

[up]for things that far back, it may be best to put the post number down, so the moderator can quickly see what you're talking about.

Cheerilee from Cheerilee's Garden on the page Monster. My Little Pony Fan Works needs to be cut because the fic in question is a troll fic. There's a rule that Complete Monsters from trollfics cannot qualify.

Monster.Video Games And Visual Novels: Xenoblade's entry has something wrong in Metal Face's entry: The "before slaughtering almost every member of Colony 6" part needs to be erased, as that never happened in the game. His other attrocities are still fair game though.

8775: Done, except I removed Five-Man Band altogether; they are a band of six and the example didn't explain how they fit their character tropes.

Everything else, done.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

On Monster.Webcomics, please replace the Mindmistress entry with this:

  • Mindmistress: Les Kidman is a pedophile and serial killer who rapes and kills little girls to suit his depraved appetites. After murdering three children, he's hired by his wealthy employer Cromwell Lyons (a friend of Kidman's late father) to kill his mentally handicapped granddaughter Lorelei, whom he considers a weak link in his family dynasty. Kidman stabs Lorelei's dog to death, but is thankfully stopped just in time by Lorelei's father from harming her. When Kidman is released from prison 20 years later, he immediately returns to his old ways. When the superheroine Mindmistress arrives to stop him after he kills his latest victim, he tries to beat her to death with a crowbar.

To Monster.Literature, please add:

  • Fear, Loathing and Gumbo on the Campaign Trail '72: The world in general in this Alternate History story has become a major Crapsack World, but some dictators outshine all others in heinousness.
    • The Lesser Mao is Mao Zedong's successor as dictator of the Chinese People's Republic. He manages to be even worse than his predecessor, turning all of China into a horrifying hybrid of post-Cold War North Korea and Khmer Rouge-era Cambodia, with totalitarianism ramped up to eleven and the country turned into a giant death camp and killing field. When the military rebels against him for his regime's excesses, he destroys the rebel-controlled city of Kwangsi with a nuclear missile. Later, he creates a virulent strain of influenza that kills the better part of a million people worldwide, none more so than in China itself. This creates the worst health year since the Spanish Flu.
    • General Magnus Malan of South Africa makes the Apartheid system even worse until it is effectively a Neo-Nazi state except in name, nominally supported by the United States for its anti-communist hysteria. His regime is actively waging a losing war in the rest of Southern Africa, committing constant massacres against African natives and using chemical weapons and dirty bombs against their enemies. When their fascist state eventually collapses, he has arranged to wipe out most of the continent with South Africa's nuclear arsenal.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"

Tweaks:

  • Mindmistress: Les Kidman is a pedophile and serial killer who rapes and kills little girls to suit his depraved appetites. After murdering three children, he's hired by his wealthy employer Cromwell Lyons (a friend of Kidman's late father) to kill his mentally handicapped granddaughter Lorelei, whom he considers a weak link in his family dynasty. When the superheroine Mindmistress arrives to stop him after he kills his latest victim, he tries to beat her to death with a crowbar.
  • Lesser Mao is fine, but slight tweak for Magnus:

Also, please add this to 24:
  • Cheng Zhi has one of the best claims to be Jack Bauer's Arch-Enemy. Originally the head of security of the Chinese consulate, Cheng subjected Jack to horrible torture after capturing him at the end of Day 5. Originally a loyal soldier for China, Cheng began to think only of himself and his own advancement. Cheng subjected Jack's former girlfriend Audrey Raines to a near-lobotomy which left her damaged for a long time after. After being thought dead, Cheng resurfaced in Live Another Day, having been the one responsible for Margot Al-Harazi getting the override key for attack drones. Manipulating events (and eventually having a sniper kill Audrey), Cheng tried to launch a nuclear missile to begin World War III between China and America where millions would die out of petty vengeance for China abandoning him for his criminal actions.
