This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

On Monster.Film, please replace the current entry for Henry Evans with this writeup:
- Henry Evans, from The Good Son, is the ultimate example of an Enfant Terrible in film. Having a disturbing attraction towards death and the idea of murder, Henry built a philosophy around himself that stated that if people were to rid themselves of their morals, then they are free to do any evil acts that they wanted to do without such concepts holding them back. Prior to the main plot, Henry murdered his own younger brother in the bathtub just because he had happened to be playing with a toy that belonged to him. He then goes on to convince his cousin, Mark, into helping him throw a dummy dubbed "Mr. Highway" off of a bridge, resulting in massive car accidents. He also shot and killed an innocent dog with a nail gun from a distance and he also attempted to drown his sister in a frozen lake when they were skating together. When Henry's mother was beginning to realize that her son was a remorseless sociopath, she decided to send him to a mental institution so that he could get the help that he needed. Unwilling to lose his freedom to do bad, Henry decided that his family needed to die so that he could be free to do whatever he wanted.

Add to Monster.Webcomics Gus
For Monster.Yu Yu Hakusho add Exister's rewrite for Elder Toguro
Add Blackheart to Monster.Film along with:
- Harlan Degroat of the 2013 film Out Of the Furnace is a violent backwoods meth boss who begins the film at a drive-in movie with a date. When she thinks him having food poisoning is funny, Degroat chokes her and beats her before pummeling a good Samaritan coming to her aid nearly to death. Later, when Degroat is offered the chance to make money by a man who owes him named Petty via Petty's fighter buddy Rodney taking a dive in a bare-knuckle fight so Degroat can take the winnings, Degroat ambushes them and has them both killed simply out of spite, pride and because Rodney did a bit too well before he took the dive. When Rodney's brother Russ tries to trap Degroat later, Degroat executes the unarmed, helpless bartender in the area before trying to flee.
For film, replace The Rock entry with this rewrite
From the Monster.Marvel And Icon page, cut this line from Hybrid's entry: " Since the Dire Wraiths are a race of Complete Monsters, that's saying something"
Add to Monster.Literature
- Joseph Strorm of The Chrysalids is not a kind man. Even before he leads the hunt to capture his own son, daughter, and niece, with full and clear intent to murder them (and possibly torture them a bit beforehand), he's a cruel, vicious bastard. He takes the setting's anti-mutant religious dogma far too seriously, and he administers cruel beatings that border on torture to anybody who so much as speaks out against him. His hatred of mutants is such that even an agent of the church whose job it is to track down mutants thinks he's a bit overboard. Hell, he beat his own son half to death for the "blasphemy" of saying that he could do with an extra hand when doing a difficult task. Yeah. And while most other communities only exile mutants and spay the females, Strorm jumps on the opportunity to murder them all in cold blood, even though his son, daughter, niece, and brother (who was a sort of tribal leader among the mutants since his exile) are included in that number.
On Monster.Anime And Manga replace the whole Mai-Otome tree with Austin's rewrite for Tomoe here
On the Rose Of Versailles entry, cut Jean as ell, leaving only the Duke of Guenemee

You also wanted that Speckles the Dinosaur example added to Monster.Western Animation if you forgot about it.
8077 is done.
That one's on my list anyway (though Chrystalids is on ).

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsJust in case then:
Add to Monster.Western Animation
- One Eye, the villain of the Korean animated film Speckles The Tarbosaurus is a Serial Killer and engine of hate of rage in a Tyrannosaurus Rex's skin. One Eye demonstrates he's a calculating, rational monster by initiating a disaster to kill the young Speckles' family and murders his siblings for fun rather than food. He proceeds to haunt Speckles throughout his entire life, trying to kill him or those the Tarbosaurus cares for. At the film's end, he even murders one of Speckles' children and tries to murder the other by hurling the hatchling into the ocean.
Add to Monster.Film
- Maman, the slum boss from Slumdog Millionaire is charming, friendly and cheerful to orphans he meets, offering the young Jamal and Salim ice cold coca colas and offering them a place to stay. It is revealed Maman takes in orphans to use as a begging ring for him, and the kids are just free labor. Even worse, cripples earn more money, so when children display good singing talent, Maman has them blinded with acid to increase the revenue. When Salim and Jamal escape, Maman captures their friend Latika and several years later gives her the name 'Cherry' while intending to use her as a child prostitute. The only reason he hasn't done so already is as a virgin, she's worth a great deal of money. When he finds the young Salim and Jamal, he immediately plans to kill them, declaring "Maman never forgets."
Did I post the One Piece changes in this thread, guys?
On Monster.Anime And Manga, the entry for Kill la Kill isn't alphabetized correctly.
BTW, Pride is listed twice on Live-Action TV. Please remove the one at the bottom.
Also, for Film, please make sure any entries listed in the Directors folder aren't duplicated in the alphabetical films folder.
- For Western Animation, should be "the villain of Speckles The Tarbosaurus, is..."
- For Comic Books, for the Baltimore entry, please make it Vampire Monarch

America Saves the Day has one line in the description that needs fixing.
The word "pays" is supposed to be in italics, as proven by the source code, as there are two single quotation marks instead of one double quotation mark on each side of the word.
However, because the markup is inside a pothole, it shows up as ""pays"" instead of "pays". Thus the above code should be replaced with the following:

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. My question is if the whole phrase needs to be potholed.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI would limit it to "pays".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanEdit request for: Locked Pages
Adolf Hitler needs to be removed. In the process of moving it to Adolf Hitler we have decided to try using an admin note instead to discourage the problems that caused it to be locked.
Denied; we talked it over and decided that it's just not worth the risk. I've updated the namespace on Locked Pages and locked the page.
Apparently, all the entries that were moved to the 'Director' section in Monster.Film have duplicate entries in the main bodies, like Dr. Merrick, Mommy and Daddy, Krug, Dylan Gould etc.
Should the ones in the main body be removed?
Already requested.
I gotta know: For Hitler, what was the original image caption?

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsPlease add to Monster/Film:
- Frankenstein's Army: Dr. Viktor Frankenstein, the grandson of the more famous Frankenstein, is a true Mad Doctor working to make an army of nightmarish cyborg zombies ostensibly for the Nazis but in reality to purge the world (minus himself) of free will. To create his minions he massacres soldiers and civilians alike (even slaughtering an entire convent of nuns in order to convert their church into a zombie factory) and uses both dead and living subjects (including children), though he feels fresh meat is more effective, and for no reason other than his own depravity extracts parts from his subjects while they're fully conscious. While he claims efficiency as a goal most if not all of his creations are just twisted amalgamations of flesh and machine parts with no apparent purpose beyond inducing terror and slaughtering all in their way.

Awesome.Marauder Shields needs a The Eternal Churchill pothole removed and "last stand" ought to be Last Stand, given the context.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso, Flame Bait needs to be added to Locked Pages.
Someone ought to propose replacing the list in Locked Pages with some automated report...
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPlease remove ", and who was possibly Jewish" from the first paragraph of Adolf Hitler
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.8091: Not all, but several...I removed the duplicates.
8092: I believe it was just Hitler Ate Sugar...not very clever or indicative of anything.
8093, 8094: Done.
8095: Added in the Administrivia/Policy section.
8096: Done.
EDIT: 8086 is done as well.

Conversation in the Main Page ought to get the natter-fy button citation edited to reflect that it now covers several issues.
I'll see if other administrivia pages can get references about it, but that's a project for another day.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWow, that's...pointless.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsThe original caption was much longer: See this.
Anyhoo, Locked Pages needs some Nate-related, now unlocked pages removed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
7955: While that's accurate, I think the entry is fine as is. If another mod wants to take a stab at incorporating that somehow, they're welcome to it.
7956: Done.
7957: I put those on the discussion page to try to draw some more context.
7959: Done.
7964: Shima did part of this; I took care of the rest with a coupla tweaks.
