I really like Big-Lipped Alligator Moment. Fun way to screw over The Law of Conservation of Detail.
I really, really like the Humiliation Conga trope. In fact, I like it even more than just killing off the villain, as it leaves them completely undignified and without any hope of getting themselves back up their feet. It's something that I like to write in when I have an original villain on the brink of defeat.
I really like The Law of Conservation of Detail. If it's not relevant don't have it. Cut the fat people.

x4 What about Department of Redundancy Department?
As for me, I absolutely love the World in the Sky trope. There's just something I find inherently amazing about a world made of FloatingContinents, which is ironic, considering I'm afraid of heights.

I don't really have one. I am more interested in following specific examples of media and their respective tropes. Still, I love getting sidetracked by particular tropes, too.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I'm a real fan of Big Damn Heroes. Especially when used in the "botched execution" context. I don't know why, but it remains one of my favorite plot devices to this day. Whenever the protagonist is put on death row, I always hope for someone to come and save them.
I also like Action Girl and Lady of War, because I'm a fan of strong female characters, being a lady myself.
Earn Your Happy Ending has got to be my favorite ending trope, hands down. It feels like the best way to end a story.
For some reason, the Distressed Dude trope crops up a lot in my writing. It's some strange Author Appeal.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughI really like Action Girl and Earn Your Happy Ending as well.
I would elaborate buuut feeling lazy.
I like The Ojou and Noblewoman's Laugh when they are Played for Laughs.

I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyShield Bash. I don't know, I like the idea of using shield as an offensive weapon. I especially like when you ram with it.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Which trope would best describe a character as "a weirdo with a heart of gold"? I like that one. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.I've always been fascinated by Amnesiac Dissonance. There are others, but I don't remember right now.
"You cannot judge a system if your judgement is determined by the system."Fate Worse than Death is a really good one in general. Why should killing the guy be your first resort when his reaction tells you how much of a Badass and/or Magnificent Bastard/Guile Hero you really are, then letting him/her live to spread your name?

These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else.I like No Kill Like Over Kill.
I don't know if it's my favorite, though.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseHmm....Science Hero ? The Smart Guy ?... I don't know, I'm kind of split between Genius Bruiser and A Scholar And A Gentleman. To be honest I love to see both of them executed in perfect synergy.

Living The Fever DreamMostly because I like heroes with determination. When you live in a world where people can fart out fireballs, freeze your feet to the ground, shoot lightning and summon monsters from beyond the veil, this guys just stares at them, says "Fuck it, I can take on you all", maybe grabs his sword and hands them their asses. Screw your superpowers, you are about to get schooled.
I like it because its a form of "Screw destiny". He was not born or got superpowers, but that doesn't stop him. He's got a job to do, a princess to save and those guys that won the superpower lottery are not gonna stop him. Or her for that matter.
Respect.
Wouldn't that overlap with The Unchosen One? That's still a trope I like that isn't often used.
These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else.Magnificent Bastard. It's just so fun to watch characters like this, especially because it leads to Rooting for the Empire.
He's Back! is also another favourite of mine, just to see people come back from the brink.
Excuse Plot and then Memetic Badass. Just look at the formers page image. LOL
life goes hard I go harderCarpet of Virility or Use Your Head, I can't really decide.
I kind of like Late to the Punchline, because it's always funny when someone laughs out of nowhere for that reason.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseBased on some of the articles I have written, I seem to be drawn toward such tropes as Ms. Fanservice (and related tropes), Sesquipedalian Smith, Cool Mask, Garbage Wrestler, Wild Samoan, No Indoor Voice, Facial Markings, Parts Unknown, Badass and Action Girl. Almost all of them can be found on the character pages of my now-defunct fan fiction series The JWL.

I don't know if there's a trope for it specifically, but I love bar fight scenes that are Played for Laughs and/or to show how badass the characters are.
