Go To

  • In Anchorhead, the Big Bad Croesus, possessing the protagonist's husband Michael uses sexist insults against the female protagonist.
  • Comes up in both Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag: In the former case, the protagonist ancestor Assassin is for all intents and purposes Mohawk and reacted to as such by white colonists, with the more thuggish characters referencing his heritagenote . In the latter, African slavery is a topic that comes up multiple times and almost everyone who's okay with it or even participating is depicted quite unsympathetically; in fact, one of the first foreshadowings to Benjamin Hornigold's eventual defection from Nassau is when he questions Edward Kenway's willingness to let his Trinidadian quartermaster carry a pistol, and Woode Rogers is notably in the slave trade despite his own Templar Grand Master "asking" him to quit itnote , while Julien du Casse quit the slave trade to become a sell-sword, which was how he came across the Templars to begin with.
    • In the Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry, the "Gouverneur de Fayet"note  flat-out claims that slaves "are not even human! Without the discipline and guidance of their masters, they turn to rebellion, murder, like you." Given the time period this takes place in, this is a common belief of the time and will continue to be so for centuries to come.
  • Batman: Arkham Series:
    • The Penguin is misogynistic (referring to both Catwoman and Harley Quinn as either a "bitch" or a "harlot" at various times), homophobic (calling his own men "ponces" and Nightwing a "fairy"), racist (the first cop he kills is black and he calls another black cop "boy"), and ableist (referring to psychotic mental patients in an audio log as "dribbling monkeys"). Tracey Buxton, one of the Penguin's Paid Harems in Arkham Origins, shares her boss's homophobia.
    • The Riddler is a Smug Snake who thinks he's smarter than everyone else and will insult based on what he perceives to be their intellect. In Challenge Maps, he's also prone to spouting slurs against the mentally disabled like Penguin above.
  • Most of the Founders in BioShock Infinite are all fairly racist, which is appropriate for the time period. Comstock however takes it to another level, outright despising Lincoln for emancipating the blacks from their "rightful place" in society and is credited as "The Hero of Wounded Knee". Similarly, there's also the Fraternal Order of the Raven, who revere John Wilkes Booth as their patron saint and are more or less The Klan in all-but name and color scheme (they favor blue robes rather than white). But the Vox aren't so squeeky clean either as they eagerly kill people just for having an upper class or "intellectual" background.
  • Yuuki Terumi of BlazBlue is an utterly loathsome example of a misogynistic villain. He utterly hates women and takes a special sadistic glee in breaking them. His Fantastic Racism towards practically anything and everything supernatural and/or non-human is also noteworthy (particularly since he, himself, is a ghost possessing an Artificial Human). And then there's, of course, also the fact that he's an unrepentant Child Hater... It might be easier to just say that Terumi Hates Everyone Equally, but for different petty, prejudiced, and generally despicable reasons.
  • General Sarrano from Bulletstorm is one, on top of being genocidal and EXTREMELY foul-mouthed.
  • Sergeant Richthofen, a recurring character in COD 2 Spanish Civil War Mod, is firmly convinced that Spanish soldiers fighting on both sides are inferior to their German counterparts. He also mocks the skin colour of the Moroccan protagonist.
  • Lord Nemesis in City of Heroes started as a Prussian tinkerer in the Civil War. His more despicable acts include killing off an alternate Earth full of people, who 'didn't count' because they were black, and in a more personal moment, killing an African member of Longbow who's been your sympathetic ally. He's also sexist but that gets Played for Laughs when he talks down to Lady Grey.
  • The Watcher in Darksiders isn't content with merely being a Jerkass to War. He also talks down to the Archangel Uriel, calling her "wench" and "whore" while ordering War to finish her off. War refuses to obey despite the Watcher's attempts to force obedience. Like the rest of his jackassery, this bites the Watcher in the ass when Uriel chops off his hand and breaks the Seventh Seal, freeing War in the process.
  • Dead Man's Hand has one of the minor bosses, BlackJack, who's openly racist and draws his gun on your Mexican protagonist.
  • Disco Elysium:
    • The Wild Pines mercenaries - with the exception of Lely - are all extremely racist, continuously saying racial slurs even in ways that make no sense in context such as calling the white Titus slurs for black people. As well, one of their number, Rudd "The Killer" Hoenkloewen also keeps a Kill Tally on his helmet, consisting of mostly black marks. If you ask if he got it because "he kills black people", Colonel Kortenaer confirms it without hesitation.
    • Played for Laughs with Measurehead, a black man who has adopted white supremacist conspiracy theories that he insists prove that black people are actually the real master race. He's portrayed as so Laughably Evil and moronic it's hard to take him seriously, especially with his insistence on referring to white people as "THE HAM SANDWICH RACE".
  • Dennis from Double Homework is the epitome of misogyny. He's not above anything to get women to sleep with him, and he has a deep resentment of anyone who rejects him sexually.
  • Also from Bioware is the Tevinter Imperium in Dragon Age. Not only does the Imperium practice slavery, they are also quite homophobic if Dorian is any indication, who reveals that his father attempted to change his sexual orientation through a blood magic ritual, a truly terrifying case a Nightmare Fuel considering just how very, very real Dorian's story is for a lot of people. It's not an issue of "moral" disapproval at least. Tevinter's ruling class is practicing a nation-wide eugenics program to create the ultimate mage. A gay man or a lesbian who doesn't take a beard won't be contributing to that, and if he or she is an only child like Dorian is...
  • Dyztopia: Post-Human RPG:
    • President Zazz uses his corporate influence to create and persecute the poor. He also plans to displace non-humans from their homes and make them second-class citizens in favor of humans.
    • The Smog Empire has a brutal patriarchy where women have little to no rights and are considered property of men. If the player causes Edgar to escape from Morgalia's mansion early, an optional cutscene with Robun reveals that the empire discriminates against those with disfiguring diseases too.
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has two major examples:
    • The Thalmor of the Aldmeri Dominion in general despise humans in general, and cannot handle the thought of one of them having ascended and sharing a seat in the pantheon with the eight other Divines. They're trying to erase Talos from the pantheon to erase even the possibility of man from Tamriel, even if it unmakes reality as a result!
    • The Stormcloaks are a militia of hot-blooded Nordic nationalists that are fairly racist and xenophobic towards non-human races (though there are some exceptions, even their leader is apathetic at best when it comes to non-Nords), and their capital of Windhelm is highly segregated and miserable. While as one of the two joinable factions in the Skyrim Civil War, they aren't strictly designated as "villains", they are certainly this if you side with the Imperial Legion against them.
  • Fallout:
    • While the series mostly uses Politically Correct History and Equal-Opportunity Evil for the Pre-War United States of America despite it being intentionally written as an incredibly dark Deconstructive Parody of Fifties Americana, numerous details in Fallout 2, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4 show that the government was virulently racist towards Asians (particularly Chinese-Americans and those of Chinese descent) due to the then-current Resource Wars waged against China. Numerous Chinese-Americans and Chinese prisoners-of-war were sent to concentration camps like "Little Yangtze" at Big Mountain to serve as guinea pigs for the U.S.’s Mad Scientists, and those who weren’t were often violently assaulted and attacked by their neighbors (with the police being willingly complicit in their suffering).
    • The Enclave from Fallout 2 and Fallout 3 have as their goal the complete extermination of all people exposed to radiation and FEV in the Post-War world. Why? Because this makes them "mutants", and they must be wiped out to make way for the last pure humans — the Enclave themselves. It's not a surprise, considering the Enclave were the direct descendants of the Pre-War government of Fallout's USA.
    • Caesar's Legion in Fallout: New Vegas takes this to downright absurd levels. It enslaves all women in their territory, believing them useless as anything other than breeders and servants. Women in the Legion are slaves who are raped and brutalized by the soldiers daily. In addition, they exterminate the homosexuals, mentally handicapped, Ghouls, Super Mutants, sick, elderly, physically/mentally handicapped, intellectuals, alcoholics/drug addicts, doctors, and scientists in the territory they conquer. It really says something to the game's writing quality that the Legion can act this cartoonishly evil and yet still be genuinely terrifying, interesting, and complex.
      • Legate Lanius is the worst of the lot. He actively hates women, calling them "bitches", and even thinks that the NCR's fair treatment of them is their single greatest shortcoming. In the Final Battle, he pretty much threatens to drag a defeated female Courier back to his tent to rape her, to make her "learn her place". He also has a genocidal hatred of every non-Legion culture. If the Legion wins in the ending, he'll remorselessly butcher every minor faction, whereas even Caesar himself would've let some of them go or get away with regular conquest and taxes.
      • invoked Actually averted with Caesar himself, in a weird sense. Lead Designer Joshua Sawyer has noted that everyone in the Legion is Caesar's slave. Sure, the women have be baby-making machines and perform some backbreaking manual labor, but the men are conscripted into the army as teenagers and forced to serve until they die (Chief Hanlon remarks that it's rare for Legion men to survive longer than 10 years after conscription). They're beaten and abused by their superiors and have every inch of humanity drained from them, turning them into mindless killers and marauders totally dedicated to Caesar, whose only purpose in life is to be used as Cannon Fodder.
      • A gang of old ladies in New Vegas will call the Courier a "ponce", a homophobic term in the UK.
    • The Institute in Fallout 4 fall into both the fantastical and mundane forms of this trope; For the former, the Institute refuses to recognize the sapience of Gen 3 Synths and treats them as a glorified Slave Race. For the latter, the Institute has a highly classist view of the Commonwealth's surface dwellers, viewing them with at best Condescending Compassion and at worst as active threats to the achievement of their "utopia." Ironically, aside from this the Institute actual falls into Equal-Opportunity Evil more often than not, having an (officially) classless society where currency is non-existent and multiple women and people of color are shown to have unquestioned positions of authority, power and respect.
  • Far Cry:
    • Hoyt Volker from Far Cry 3, appropriately enough for a South African slaver. Apart from allowing his men to rape the slaves he sells (provided they don't damage them), he also orders them to kill any of the Rakyat they come across on sight. Even given later reveals about the Rakyat, Hoyt's still an evil jerk.
    • Hoyt's Psycho for Hire Bambi "Buck" Hughes also qualifies as this, being a stereotypical crass Australian. He derisively refers to the Japanese explorers who visited the Rook Islands in search of treasure as "Japs", and in one of the trailers, he tells Jason that he and Hoyt's Privateers are "the shepherds" in charge of controlling the "savages" of Rook. Ironically for a bogan, he's not homophobic, being a Depraved Homosexual himself.
    • Agent Willis Huntley is a jingoistic American CIA agent with low opinions of foreign cultures, but he doesn't qualify as a villain in 3, where he's on the side of white American Jason throughout the entire game. Where he counts as this is in Far Cry 4, where he describes his ally the Kyrati Ajay Ghale as "American on the inside, useful on the outside", makes rude cultural blending assumptions about Ajay's country, and tricks Ajay into killing other CIA agents stationed in Kyrat before shoving him out of the plane and leaving him to be arrested by the Royal Army.
    • Paul De Pleur, Pagan Min's Torture Technician in 4, enjoys torturing the Kyrati Darpan to a disturbing level. He also describes Sabal as a "fucking taxi driver", and calls the rest of the Golden Path "monkey fuckers", after Ajay captures him and brings him to the Golden Path's hideout.
    • Pagan Min's adopted sister Yuma Lau is a Social Darwinist obsessed with the Proud Warrior Race that founded Kyrat, and openly states that the current population of Kyrat is a "pathetic rabble". Part of the reason she wants to betray her brother is that she feels Pagan's love for Ajay's mother Ishwari made him weak.
    • Pagan Min himself actually subverts this. In the opening of the game, after he arrives to pick Ajay up from a bus that his soldiers opened fire, killing a few civilians, he says "you know if you give food to... monkeys, they just... throw their shit at each other." He later addresses Darpan as "the little monkey" or "boy" (which is rather hypocritical, since Pagan's younger than Darpan), while he's sticking a fork in his back. However, we later learn that he loved Ajay's mother Ishwari, a Kyrati woman herself, and cares for Ajay since he's a living reminder of Pagan's lost love. So Pagan's hatred is not for the Kyratis specifically, but for the Golden Path, which makes sense, since their founded Mohan, Ajay's father, killed Pagan's infant daughter Lakshmana.
    • Hurk Drubman Sr. from Far Cry 5 is technically on the side of good, since he's opposed to the Project at Eden's Gate, but he's a shotgun-toting, smoking bigoted conservative opposed to intellectuals, liberals, and Canadians who asks the Deputy to kill anyone who won't vote for him to get a place in the Senate and Make It Look Like an Accident.
  • Christopher Columbus in Fate/Grand Order is aware that enslaving women and nonwhites is no longer legal or popular, but he's very perplexed to hear that it's immoral. It's not like they're real people, after all! Especially noticeable because the playable Master is Japanese, and may well be female.
  • Get in the Car, Loser!:
    • The Machine Devil Cultists are white supremacists and Heteronormative Crusaders who want to use the Machine Devil's power to kill anyone they deem "degenerate."
    • Played with when it comes to the Machine Devil itself. While it originated as a primordial destructive flame and claims to be tied to the idea of chaos itself, it spews sexist and transphobic lines to pick at the protagonists' insecurities. Whether it was influenced by its modern day followers or always held these views isn't clarified, but it's clear that it's perfectly willing to go along with its followers' bigotry to cause as much harm as possible, both emotional and physical.
  • The Big Bad of The Getaway, Charlie Jolson, is an aging white London Gangster who resents the multiculturalism of modern London's organized crime community. Not only are he and his nephew Jake casually racist, constantly throwing racial slurs at The Yardies and The Triads, his entire evil plot is to lure all his rivals into a trap so he can blow them up and 'bring things back to how they used to be'. As if to remove all doubt, at the end of the game he rants about the "mixing of the fucking races", and says "you give these people a little bit of space, and what do you get? Fucking disorder!" He is contrasted by the more cosmopolitan Collins Crew, one of whose members (who happens to be black) refers to Jolson as a 'National Frontnote  geezer', and their leader Nick lampshades his attitudes by calling him "a bad hangover from a different era". While downplayed compared to their racism, Jolson and his underlings are also casually misogynistic as well - one particular goon nonchalantly objectifies women who have just been violently killed and sends Mark Hammond off to essentially kidnap a 'dancing slut' for Jolson.
  • Grand Theft Auto IV:
    • Vladimir Glebov is a classist who styles himself as a Russian aristocrat that repeatedly calls Niko and Roman Bellic "serfs", "yokels" and "peasants" due to their Serbian background.
    • Rocco Pelosi in The Ballad of Gay Tony throws racial and homophobic slurs against Tony and Luis like commas. In fact, not just them but he uses racial slurs towards about anyone, since he refers to Triad gangsters as "chinks".
    • The Angels of Death in The Lost and the Damned are a white supremacist/Neo-Nazi biker gang to contrast their rivals, the Lost MC. Their in-game website notes they were formed by people unsatisfied with a non-segregated society and they contain some subtle and not-so-subtle references to Nazism, such as deriving their name from Nazi scientist Josef Mengele, nicknamed Angel of Death. Amusingly, when you assault their clubhouse, you find them playing hip-hop which is an odd musical choice for a white supremacist gang.
    • Brian, despite being a member of the Lost, throws some anti-Semitic insults towards Johnny, quickly establishing himself as a Hate Sink. He also calls Triad gangsters "slopes" and says he can't tell the difference between Slavs when he refers to Niko as a Pole.
    • Billy Grey when arranging with a Chinese Triad to ambush and kill Johnny, he tells him he has no use for a Jew asshole, and also calls the Triad a "yellow little devil" to his face while saying he loved watching them die on TV.
    • Ray Bulgarin throws several homophobic slurs towards "Gay" Tony Prince (though not to his face) and makes fun of Luis by calling him his lover, later calling him a "Dominican bitch".
  • Grand Theft Auto V:
    • The self-proclaimed "Civil Border Patrol" minutemen, Joe and Josef, are extremely xenophobic and jingoistic thugs that claim to be protecting America from illegal aliens, but it's clear that they're just using it as an excuse to harass Hispanics. What makes them inherently hypocritical is that Josef is Russian Mail-Order Groom who can barely speak a word of English and knows nothing of American customs, but is just as virulently racist as Joe.
Josef: (in Russian) I will defend this nation from multiculturalism!
    • Though never encountered in the game and only heard/seen in political ads, Governor candidate Jock Cranley hates gays, immigrants, cripples, affirmative action and describes himself as a National Socialist in one ad. He is very self-aware about this trope and uses it as advantage, with his campaign boiling down to "Yes, I am a dick. But at least, you know I am a dick".
  • The Great Ace Attorney:
    • Jezaille Brett is extremely racist against the Japanese, with nearly every single line out of her mouth being a comment about how inferior Japan is compared to Britain. Even considering the time period the game is set in, she sticks out as being the only character whose racism is her central defining trait. In the second game, this leads to Death by Racism at the hands of the reporter Raiten Menimemo.
    • Although he's not exactly a villain, Barok van Zieks, the main prosecutor (and therefore a recurring antagonist) doesn't hide his disdain for the Japanese due to having been betrayed by a Japanese man in the past. He eventually overcomes this.
    • Lord Chief Justice Mael Stronghart, while diplomatic when directly interacting with Japanese characters, constantly engages in Cultural Posturing and condescension towards individuals from "lesser" nations. He's also happy to use Japanese colleagues as scapegoats to protect his own interests, going as far as to frame Kazuma's father for serial murder to hide the true culprit, a respected British noble.
  • In Guild Wars 2 the Flame Legion views female Charr as suitable only for domestic purposes.
  • Game Mods of Hearts of Iron IV:
    • The New Order Last Days Of Europe: Being an Alternate-History Nazi Victory this is a given. The Reich has various agents all around the world, from Evil Colonialist Hans Hüttig in Africa, to Siegfried Kasche overseeing Germanization of Moskowien, to Heinrich Himmler's SS in Burgundy, to the Führer himself in Berlin. And that isn't even counting Nazi collaborators like Arthur Chesterson in England or Konstantin Rodzaevsky in the far east of Russia.
      • Collaborators like Rodzaevsky aside, there are plenty of hateful Russian warlords roaming about. A notable example is the "Aryan Brotherhood" - a group of Russians with a Foreign Culture Fetish for the Third Reich, with all that entails. Not too far away is the tiny Disaster Democracy of Komi, home to several fascist politicians. These include President for Life Igor Shafarevich with his more subtle racism, Commie Nazi Ivan Serov who brands other races as "hereditary reactionaries", and don't even get us started on Sergey Taboritsky.
      • The USA has two major examples; First there is the pro-segregation politician George Wallacenote , but second and the one who stands out the most is the openly pro-Nazi politician Francis Parker Yockey. Should he get elected president, Yockey will bring the USA down it's most tyrannical path possible. He's one of the mods many Hate Sinks.
    • Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg, despite mostly running on Grey-and-Gray Morality, has some people firmly in the villain category for their hatefulness:
      • Corneliu Codreanu, the dictator of Romania, is violently antisemetic to put it lightly.
      • One of the politicians lurking in the ranks of the America First Party is William Pelley, who plans to take control after Huey Long dies. Should he rule America, he will establish full segregation to the point of pretty much bringing back slavery and limiting democracy only to whites. Pelley shows himself to be deeply racist and antisemitic, viewing blacks and Jews as "dark souls" that threaten the nation.
    • Kaiserredux, a spin-off mod that focuses less on realism, includes plenty more bad guys:
      • Just about everybody in the Constitutional American Republic in the Deep South. It's leadership are largely members of The Klan and other hardcore white supremacists. Their rule will - should they go through with their plans, lead to a black revolt.
      • Speaking of black revolts; while the leaders of the revolt are mostly PC, Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam stand out among them for advocating a Persecution Flip.
      • New England has a couple of politicians like this. There is H. P. Lovecraft in New England (with much the same racial views as real life), Corrupt Corporate Executive Irénée du Pont, and member of The Klan Lothrop Stoddard.
      • Across the sea in Europe, Julius Evola can try and take over Italy. If you know about how Evola was like in real life (for those not in the know, basically Nazi Nobleman meets Ghostapo), he's not much different here.
    • Red Flood: Hans Hüttig is an Evil Colonialist in Africa, who wants to reunify the Kongo as his personal colony and subjugate the natives.
  • Hero King Quest: Peacemaker Prologue:
    • The Cerulean Land not only shows Fantastic Racism towards the denizens of the Dark Realm (and in a way that condemns skin color), they also have sexist views and scoff at the idea of women in leadership positions because of their state religion. The creation myth of the Light Spirit condemns women because the Dark Ones were born after some women ate spirit flesh and convinced some men to do so as well.
    • In addition to hating the goblinoids, Dark Lord Spidergland holds anti-immigrant views and has no trust towards the human mages who defected to the Dark Realm. She's all too eager to sell out the realm's humans to the Cerulean Kingdom, knowing that they will be tortured and killed.
  • In Higurashi: When They Cry, shortly after being revealed as the real villain Takano tells Satoko (who she has at gunpoint) that she'll let her go if she can guess whether Broccoli or Cauliflower is green... knowing that the girl is colorblind (and violating doctor-patient confidentiality to do so). And when she guesses right she shoots her, anyways.
  • Hotline Miami: The Janitors, who are revealed to be Greater-Scope Villains, are prejudiced against Russians. Enough to forcibly enlist others into committing acts of terrorism against The Mafiya to start a war.
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number: Jake, one of the playable characters, is the only hitman who is undeniably one of these with his open xenophobia and is implied to be a neo-Confederate.
  • Lazarus has a moment in I Miss the Sunrise. If you make Ros a lacertian, Lazarus will sneer that s/he is "one of those disgusting lizard things," making him the only character in the game to express such Fantastic Racism. Given that the developer is a proud reptile lover, this is clearly used as a mark against him.
  • The Last of Us Part II:
    • Seth isn't so much a villain as much as he is just an average asshole, especially given his small role, but he still qualifies considering he calls Ellie a "dyke". He claims to have been intoxicated at the time, which implies he was always bigoted and the alcohol made it easier for him to be upfront about it. Plus, his apology to Ellie later on didn't sound all that sincere. Granted, Seth’s gesture of giving Ellie food does have at least have some significance, when you learn in a note that his wife and eldest son were killed and his other sons almost starved to death.
    • As part of their extremely backwards religious views, the Seraphites are less than accepting of Lev coming out as a trans boy. Apart from wanting him dead for that reason alone, they also repeatedly deadname him (the act of using a trans person's name from before their transition).
  • Luminous Avenger iX: Asimov aspires for little more than the decimation of all Minos, all in the name of Adept supremacy. As an Expy of Dr. Weil, he also doesn't have much respect for his fellow Adepts than he does with Minos, using them as little more than guinea pigs and conscripts.
  • Quite a bit of Renegade choices in Mass Effect follow this trope, ranging from insulting your non-human teammates to actual genocide and supporting a "humans first" political party.
    • And then there's Cerberus (appropriately enough, the Renegade options while you're working for them in 2 consist of endorsing and supporting them). The Illusive Man is bad enough, but Kai Leng, especially in the novels, is a racist douchebag of the first order.
    • Saren, the main antagonist from the first game, is a turian who holds extremist anti-human views. He's the reason that Anderson wasn't made the first human Spectre, because he sabotaged a mission that Anderson was on, and everyone worries that Saren is gathering an army to massacre humanity in revenge for his brother's death during the First Contact War.
    • Ka'hairal Balak, the batarian terrorist from the Bring Down the Sky DLC, puts most of the other examples to shame. He plans to divert a meteor at a human colony, killing millions and ruining the planet's biosphere, in revenge for humanity daring to fight back against batarian pirates and slavers. While most other batarians mistrust humanity to some extent, for the vast majority of them it's because of propaganda and nowhere near as intense as this guy.
    • Tela Vasir, from the second game, is an asari version. She's the only asari in the entire series to call Liara a 'pureblood' to her face.
    • Urdnot Wreav (the Krogan leader if Wrex dies; otherwise, a minor character who gets killed off in 3) is both racist against non-Krogan and treats fertile female Krogan as property.
    • Clone!Shepard, from the third game's Citadel DLC, will actually chew Shepard out for saving more alien lives than human lives.
    • On a lighter note, a turian extra in Citadel complains that "You humans are all racist!" to the human C-sec officer who isn't letting him bring a ceremonial knife onto Citadel.
  • Dr. Weil from Megaman Zero towards Reploids, who are essentially fully sentient androids. He eventually treats his fellow humans in much the same manner he treats the Reploids and Weil's methods of enforcing things as he believes they should be resulted in a series of wars that not only killed a majority of the world's population but rendered most of the planet uninhabitable. It becomes apparent by the end of the fourth installment that this is because Weil is ultimately just a hateful, malicious man who only wants torture others and lord over them in a dystopic nightmare.
  • Skull Face in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a misogynist who uses the female Double Reverse Quadruple Agent Paz as an example of how women in general are deceitful.
  • As if being a realm conquering evil emperor wasn't bad enough, Mortal Kombat 11 gives Shao Kahn traits of this. One of his intro dialogues quotes Donald Trump with "Make Outworld Great again". Some of his unique intro dialogues with female kombatants potray him as a sexually promiscous misogynist, from telling Sheeva that he misses her skimpier attire, to telling Cassie that he wants her to join his concubines. And if Skarlet is to be believed, her relationship with Shao Kahn is *way* too close.
  • The demon Baalbisan from Neverwinter Nights 2 is a misogynist of epic proportions, making several disparaging remarks against any female party members you bring to the area he appears in, and insulting the Player Character regardless of their gender because he mistakes male characters for "weak females". The only woman he's ever shown to speak to with anything resembling respect is Shandra Jerro, and that's only because he's trapped in a summoning circle and she has the only means to free him.
  • Nancy Drew: In Ransom of the Seven Ships, the villian disguises himself as a Jamaican Rastafarian to avoid getting caught. The racism of a white character committing such cultural appropriation was enough for HER Interactive to get the game pulled in 2020.
  • Eddie Gluskin of Outlast is a psychotic Serial Killer who, due to being sexually abused by his father and his uncle as a child, went on a misogynistic rampage, trying to force women to marry him and murdering them when they naturally refused. Being moved to Mount Massive and being Mind Raped turned his Ax-Crazy up to eleven—he takes on the persona of a groom seeking a wife, and moves his behaviour to include men as well, attempting to "solve" the little issue of men not being able to get pregnant by violently castrating them in order to use the resultant gaping wound as a vagina. Which, needless to say, kills them, either directly or when he butchers them for screaming/pleading too much during surgery. Although he feigns being a 50s-style romantic sweetheart, even his "nice guy" dialogue makes it clear he objectifies women as good only for having children and he would almost certainly be a classic "Stay in the Kitchen" flavor of asshole if he weren't a crazy murderer. As he is a crazy murderer, he switches to violent fits of fury at being denied, chasing after whichever unfortunate has earned his wrath, screaming misogynistic slurs as he seeks to brutally kill them. Even when feigning "nice guy", Eddie casually spits misogynistic comments, deriding his past victims as "whores" and "sluts". His aforementioned idea of turning men into women via mutilation also carries transphobic implications.
  • In [PROTOTYPE], Hope, Idaho was used for an experiment to develop a virus that targets specific minorities. It didn't work, unleashed virus strains are indiscriminate.
  • In [PROTOTYPE 2], You learn of Project New Hope in a sidequest chain, which is a virus that's aimed to sterilize the poor people, while this is bad on its own, the scientists gleefully bragging to Heller go out of their way to specifically say "Especially the immigrants". Heller's response to this is one of the most gleeful moments of Laser-Guided Karma in the game.
  • Ad Avis, one of the main Big Bads in Quest for Glory, has this as part of his backstory. He went out to train under the Dark Master, one of the most powerful wizards in existence. When he finally tracked him down, he learned it was a she. He was immediately insulted at the thought of a woman being better than him, and challenged her to a duel. He lost, was enslaved for fifty years, and then cursed to become a vampire upon death.
  • Osmund Saddler, the evil cult leader from Resident Evil 4, makes his disdain for Americans very clear. He even mocks the "American prevails" Hollywood cliché before his final fight with Leon. The 2023 Remake gives Salazar this trait and makes him explicitly racist, even calling Leon a vulgar mongrel.
  • Rise of the Third Power: Emperor Dimitri Noraskov orders the purge of the poor, lowborn, and disabled for failing to conform to the Arkadyan Empire's image of strength.
  • Saints Row:
    • Joseph Price, leader of the Westside Rollerz in Saints Row, is implicitly a misogynist, as are most of the men in his gang, being embodiments of Testosterone Poisoning. See, for example, his interactions with Lin, The Mole the Saints planted in the Rollerz:
Lin: I'm the best racer to ever come out of Chinatown.
Joseph Price: How come I've never heard of you before?
    Lin: 'Cause I got tits.
Price: (looks at Lin's breasts) Is that what you call those? (Lin punches him)

  • SLAMMED!: Paul Prototype is a misogynistic asshole and the only unambiguous (non-kayfabe) villain in the game.
  • General Tsao of Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves responds to Jing King's unwillingness to marry him with: "She's a woman. She doesn't know up from down!" which makes smacking him down a moment later all the more sweet.
  • Copperfield and the Creeper from The Suffering: Ties That Bind. One's a slave hunter with an approach to work taken from The Most Dangerous Game; the other's a misogynistic ex-pimp serial killer who uses the corpses of his victims as Combat Tentacles.
  • The titular MacGuffin of Syphon Filter is a virus designed to target specific races.

  • Vampyr (2018): Lord Redgrave is the Vampire Monarch of London and chairman of the Ascalon Club, a vampire council that forbids the admission of women since he views them as "fickle beings, specially if they are immortal".
  • Double Subverted with Rutger in A Very Long Rope to the Top of the Sky. Though the story seems like it'll set him up as one — he's a narrow-minded nationalistic military Jerkass — he actually seems to be a case of Equal-Opportunity Evil. In one side scene he expresses sympathy over Ivy and Mint's Wingless status, as he is a commoner himself and thus feels some empathy for those born into poor circumstances. He's not a He-Man Woman Hater either, as the army contains female soldiers, and he respects Ivy's strength — he even defends her when she's sexually harassed at one point. Except in one of the bonus endings in New Game Plus, he uses a virtual reality chamber to create a naked clone of Yvette to amuse himself, painting him as a sleazy misogynist.
  • In Warcraft III, Lord Garithos is shown as an extremely racist commander who insults and degrades non-humans and incarcerated the Blood Elves for not staying in a doomed base to die as he ordered. When he's finally backstabbed by Sylvanas Windrunner, one doesn't feel sorry for him.
  • Way of the Samurai 4 has Mr. Uchimada as a recurring villain during the homeless questline. Uchimada is a very rich man and an extreme Neat Freak, who even has his own guards called Clean Samurai. His obsession for cleanness goes so far, that he has no qualms about killing homeless people, as he deems these to be unclean.
  • Most of the Wolfenstein games use the Nazis as generic evil supervillains for guns-blazing action, and don't get into the Nazis' ideology of racial supremacy. The New Order, however, has this front and center. One of the Nazis' first actions is gunning down mentally-disabled in a psychiatric hospital. J, a black man, says that if he tried walking the streets in the open, he'd be shot on sight — he also calls out American-born B.J Blazkowitz on the fact that the US was just as racist as the Nazis in many ways, and the Nazis are essentially doing nothing but putting into practice what many "white folk" preached. Your first encounter with one of the villains is her making B.J. take a racial purity test, with a subtle undercurrent of dread, as B.J. is Polish-American and half-Jewish. Loudspeakers in Berlin blare out how Germans are "superior beings." In Forced Labor Camp Belica, the warden compares the inmates to cancerous tumors on society and herself to a doctor. Finally, Deathshead himself spends most of the climax claiming that he has helped build the ultimate civilization, which racially-inferior degenerates are trying to tear down — rather hypocritically, since by this point you've learned he stole all of his advanced technology from a cache created by a Judaic sect of Mad Scientists who viewed scientific achievements as a sacrament to God.
