    IC Exclusives and NPCs

Elliot Daniels

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elliot_903.jpg
FC: Shizuo Heiwajima of Durarara!!

The illegitimate first child of Oliver Courtwater, and thus Lucas Courtwater's half brother. His mother vanished under mysterious circumstances when he was a child, and he was raised by a small squad of godmothers. A bartender, security guard, and professional battler all in one. He has recently left for Hoenn, following a possible lead on his mother's whereabouts.

  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Delivers one to the thugs trying to abduct Faline in Mauville.
  • Disapproving Look: The moment Ronnie is up to her usual shenanigans, this look becomes Elliot's default expression.
  • Implacable Man: At least where Ronnie is concerned. She even refers to him as a Terminator at one point.
  • Only Sane Man: So often that he sees it as his curse - though he may be turning into more of an Unfazed Everyman.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Mostly just in the IC. It usually involves Ronnie somehow.
  • Unwanted Harem: Played for laughs in the IC, with a gaggle of fourteen-year-old girls gunning for him.
  • Wacky Parent, Serious Child: His mother, his father, and his godmothers are all pretty silly in their own ways, leaving Elliot to provide most of the sanity. Most people would probably mistake Lucas' mother for his, if they based it on personality.

Dorothy Burton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b30afcb71e8c5985af7afc8a2c206464.png
FC: Eclair Tonnerre of Ouran High School Host Club

Jerry's cousin and the daughter of Jared Burton, a highly intelligent and beautiful young woman who became somewhat deslusional following childhood trauma. The apparent antagonist in Jerry and Lucas' plot.

  • The Chosen One: Sees herself as this in a sense, working off an inaccurate psychic vision she had as a child and thinking she was chosen by Providenc. Believes she's meant to rid the world of Jared and Jerry, both of whom she sees as unredeemably evil.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Abandoned by her mother and experimented on by her father, was helpless to prevent the torture of her cousin and was traumatized to the point of warping her memories of the events
  • Even Evil Has Standards: She did manage to put an end to some of Jared's schemes when she seized apparent control of his operation.
  • Manipulative Bastard: To a lesser extent than her father, but manipulates events in hopes of setting up a situation where Jerry will kill Jared, and allow Dorothy to cause Jerry's death and claim it was self-defense.
  • Villainesses Want Heroes: Following childhood trauma, she is fixated on marrying Lucas Courtwater.

Heloise Brennan

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/heloiseepoch_4269.jpg
FC: Mitsuru Kirijo of Persona 3

An Interpol agent based in Saffron, currently heading a controversial task force.

  • Awesome, but Impractical: Frequently - if she can get away with it and the situation isn't too serious, she's going to take a chance when she sees it.
  • Black Helicopter: Seemingly her primary mode of transportation.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Lauren, her partner at Interpol.
  • Highly-Conspicuous Uniform: All things considered, this is probably the least conspicuous part of her. That is not a good thing.
  • The Last DJ: Her tendency to make risky judgement calls without alerting the higher-ups has put her on many of her superiors' blacklists, but she remains too effective to fire outright.
  • Left the Background Music On: Yes, that chase scene music is actually coming from her helicopter's intercom speakers.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Aims to be this, after encountering too many agents who were either morally indifferent, or entirely self-serving.
  • Reassigned to Antarctica: In the IC, she has been transferred from Saffron City to the ambiguous and anonymous land in which the IC takes place.

Jared Burton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/272cbcc32be45a6c8bb2ce8d99c922f1.jpg
FC: Claire Stanfield of Baccano!

Jerry's criminally insane uncle, an expert on psychic pokemon and a former League professor whose title was stripped from him following unsanctioned research practices and other suspicious behavior.

Lauren

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/laurenepoch_117.jpg
FC: Yuuka Kazami of Touhou Project

  • Demonic Dummy: The entire purpose for Lauren's schtick with Marie (her ventriloquist dummy who she treats as though it's a real person) is to unnerve or distract people.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Heloise; appropriate, considering they're partners in Interpol
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: When you don't see Marie with her, you know she's serious.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: She acts like a ditz whenever she's got Marie in hand
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Averted: Most people think she's pretty weird for carrying around a puppet and talking to it as if it were a real person

Oliver Courtwater

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/olivercourtwater_4117.jpg
FC: November 11 of Darker than Black

The heir to the Courtwater Estate and a sizeable real estate fortune, and Elliot Daniels and Lucas Courtwater's father.

  • Amicable Exes: With Elliot's mother.
  • Bumbling Dad: He has no idea what he's doing when it comes to Lucas. Does better with Elliot, who never required him to truly fulfill the father role; they're more like friends.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: The one at the office who never seems to do anything besides drink coffee in the boss's office and pester the staff. But he's also the company's "fixer" of sorts.
  • I Love You Because I Can't Control You: It's pretty clear Regina's the one running this show.

Regina Courtwater

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/reginacourtwater_9749.jpg
FC: Olivier Armstrong of Fullmetal Alchemist

The heiress to the Saughtterly Enterprises fortune - a Pokemon League special investigator and Lucas Courtwater's mother.

  • Death Glare: Even effective over long distances - Jeremiah would know.
  • Doting Parent: Her sudden change in personality when Lucas is concerned has been known to frighten people.
  • Mama Bear: Reacts this way for both Lucas and Jeremiah, though it may come as surprise to some regarding the latter, considering her usual apparent attitude toward him.
  • Parental Substitute: To Jeremiah.
  • Opposites Attract: With her apparent Upper-Class Twit of a husband. Though, one of the greatest family mysteries is whether or not she and Oliver are actually in love.

    Pokemon

Grovyle (Ryusuke's)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/9ir0c0_7514.jpg

  • Above Good and Evil: Ultimately, his motivation for most things. If he knows someone involved in a mess, chances are he'll step in; otherwise he tends to ignore things unless they personally interest him.
  • The Ace: As a Treecko he was Ryusuke's best and most skilled fighter, and that hasn't changed much.
  • Bash Brothers: Once again, with Ryusuke, although this tends to rotate between him, Charmeleon and a handful of others.
  • Elemental Punch: One of Grovyle's most used moves prior to evolving is Thunder Punch.
  • Heroic Bastard: His egg was obtained from a breeder. While he has met his brother, so far Grovyle has had yet to meet either of his parents.
  • Super-Reflexes: The only way he can stay in control of his motions when at top speed, Grovyle's reflexes got a bit of an upgrade on evolving.
  • The Unintelligible: Subverted. While unable to speak in a language understandable by most, he's capable of writing and typing and will do so when he feels it necessary and can.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Well aware that he isn't particularly powerful or durable, he tends to focus on this.

    Trainers

Akemi Kawa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/09d824fa76583f3bbac66c6757f951b1.jpg
FC: Levy McGarden of Fairy Tail

  • Everything's Better With Water: She really loves water.
  • Kill It with Water: Planning to be a Water-type specialist, more or less her goal, though sub-types prevent Crippling Overspecialization
  • Ocean Awe: Despite pretty much living in the middle of the ocean, she is rarely unimpressed with it. Helps that she spent a lot of her life under the ocean, where the majesty of the sea is especially amazing.
  • Psychic Powers: Doesn't know it, but is retro-cognitive.
  • The Smart Girl: She does a lot of studying when she needs it.
  • Yamato Nadeshiko: Her grandmother on her father's side tried to make her this. Didn't work, although she does know some Johto traditions and behaviors and such.

Elinda Aspen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elinda_1859.jpg
FC: Fate Testarossa of Lyrical Nanoha

A veteran Trainer of thirty odd years, Elinda (or Ellie for short) hails from a small foreign region. One of the founders and former Commanders of the region's dominant Team after spending decades traveling, the woman had fled the region along with her niece and remaining family to start anew in one of the larger, better known regions.

  • Action Mom: She's got a seventeen year-old son, a fourteen year-old daughter, and she can kick ass like nobody's business.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Mom
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: On the surface, Elinda is a goofy, possibly crazy, woman who likes to shove her nose where it doesn't belong. The moment she is crossed, though, Elinda reveals she can be manipulative, strategic, and extremely intimidating when she wants to be.
  • Genius Ditz: She has many, many quirks that could easily qualify her as a Cloudcuckoolander. She also used to a professional battler for Devon Corp, having only stopped for reasons yet to be explained.

Jason Royde

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jasonroyde1_2902.png
FC: Helmod of Shutsugeki! Machine Robo Rescue

Ramona Albarn

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/201091_zps0c6e05ce_1723.jpg
FC: Medaka Kurokami of Medaka Box''

  • Awesomeness by Analysis: Learned some measure of her martial arts moves and Pokemon (particularly battle) information from simply watching for a good number of years.
  • Blood Knight: She loves battles. A lot.
  • Celibate Hero: Until Cynthia, she pretty much resisted anything romantic to focus on her goals.
  • Expy: She shares many similarities with quite a few other heroes.
  • Hero-Worshipper: She has a rather large... affinity towards Cynthia
  • Ms. Fanservice: A bit of an exhibitionist by nature.
  • Playing with Fire: Wildfire is a nickname of hers for a reason; she was also born in Lavaridge, and her starter Pokemon is Torchic.
  • Red Baron: Her two main nicknames are "Rama" (as in, one of the most famous heroes in Hinduism), and "Wildfire".

Richelle "Ricki" Jace

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ricki_4344.jpg
FC: Kido Tsubomi of Kagerou Project

A runaway gangster at the age of eighteen-years-old, Richelle “Ricki” Jace has been a massive handful for her single mother most of her life. Managing to anger a terrorist organization and then stealing information from them, Ricki has left nothing but trouble in her wake. Despite being just nineteen-years-old, Ricki already has been divorced, watched groups of men die, and seems to be a magnet for jerks and perverts. With such terrible luck and a rough history behind her, the skillful trainer has finally begun her quest down the road to a better life.

  • Combat Pragmatist: Willing to use anything to her advantage in a fight.
  • Friendly Rivalry: Ricki has coined the term "Frival" for her relationship with Ramona.
  • Launcher of a Thousand Ships
  • Made of Iron: Her stamina and offensive capabilities are lacking when compared to, say, Ramona, Vesta, or Jason, but she can take a hit with the best of them
  • The Woobie: Though this doesn't come into play much, Ricki's had to deal with a lot of stuff, romantic and otherwise.

Ryusuke Ugumi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ryusuke_7939.jpg
FC: Edward Elric of Fullmetal Alchemist

The son of Elinda Aspen and Taichi Ugumi, Ryusuke is one of the more recent additions to a long line of Trainers and Breeders. Only recently having shed his greenhorn status thanks to a broad knowledge base and months of experience after leaving Lilycove, his defining feature would likely be his Jerkass attitude.

  • Blessed with Suck: His prosthetics. Rehab and surgery was not fun, and he can't swim anymore thanks to the weight, but may some higher power help you if you get stuck in a fist fight with him.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Typically prefers to ignore trouble unless it becomes impossible to avoid, or someone forces him to deal with it.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's blunt and kind of a prick, but does genuinely care about his friends and family.
  • Minored In Ass Kicking: Doesn't really get much enjoyment out of battling, but that doesn't mean he can't fight.
  • Only Sane Man: Tends to be this when he's surrounded by the more... eccentric characters, especially his mother.
  • Parental Abandonment: As far as he's concerned, Elinda just sort of disappeared, leaving him and his sister with their dad.

William Rosenbach

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/williamepoch_6630.jpg
FC: Tokugawa Ieyasu of Sengoku Basara

Zernebog Romanov

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zernebogromanov_5634.jpg
FC: Gekigami of Ōkami

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: No one would ever think that this guy was an archaeologist. Heck, no one in Arcane ever even entertained the notion that he was a ruthless killer and professional thief either... or that he's very good at all three. Admit it, you thought he was just a thug or some random wanderer too.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: What makes this even more tragic was that most of it was of his own making.
  • Disappeared Dad: The search for this guy is what drove Zernebog to sneak away from home and undergo a journey that would ultimately turn him into who he is today. Sometimes he wishes that he hadn't found him, though, because the truth hurts.
  • I Got Bigger: That's what one would get after hitting one hell of a growth spurt.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Zernebog, which means Black God in Russian.
  • Sacrificed Basic Skill for Awesome Training: He's amazing at battling, espionage, murder, and archaeology, but either woefully naive or ignorant about most other things normal people would know. Like technology or normal social etiquette. He's not as bad as he used to be though.
  • Scarily Competent Tracker: His tracking skills were practically honed to perfection during the hunt for his father. This has caused groups like Steinhart to take an interest in him though.
  • Supreme Chef: Surprisingly, he is one despite the fact that he doesn't look like he even knows how. Certain people can definitely attest to this.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: Used to be one before he left Arcane and that region for good, though it didn't stick until his reinvention.

    Breeders

Altair Stavros

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/altairepoch_1654.jpg
FC: Gilgamesh of Fate/Zero

  • Dark and Troubled Past: Who would think that such a sunny and sweet person previously had problems with an alcoholic, deadbeat feather and a criminal past that involved gangs, violence, and drugs?
  • Stage Names: He's known throughout the world as Walter Heydrich. It's great for privacy purposes.
  • Team Dad: He's been forced into the role for so long that it's become second nature.
  • Workaholic: To the point that his friends tricked him into taking a long hiatus/vacation just so that he won't burn out.

    Civilians

Etta Rassul

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ettarassul_2641.jpg
FC: Rukia Kuchiki of Bleach

A Tynntill Town trainer turned paranormal investigator for the wealthy and resourceful, with a knack for spotting hoaxes the moment she arrives on-scene. While she initially appears to be The Stoic, she's actually very outgoing and playful when engaged. Currently she's made it back to Tynntill in search of missing best friend, Mimi.

  • Action Girl: When it suits her, but she would rather maneuver events to avoid a direct confrontation. She's happy engaging in outdoor pursuits like hiking, though, and she stays in shape.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: At the investigation firm she used to work at. Then again, most of the employees were.
  • The Gadfly: Has shades of this, but she never takes it beyond just being amusing.
  • Genre Savvy: She knows when she's in a horror movie and when she's in an episode of Scooby-Doo.
  • Imagine Spot: Etta Rassul's Mind Theater

Jason Tham

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jason_8392.jpg

More often than not the random guy seen hanging out in the back of most groups, although possibly deliberate on his part. The Nice Guy of most groups, not much is known of his past.

Jeremiah Burton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lavi-dgray-man-32712266-367-491_7746.jpg
FC: Lavi of D.Gray-Man

  • Accidental Murder: After almost purposely killing one of the men sent to abduct Lucas in Agate, Jerry stops himself and starts to leave to find Lucas, only to end up accidentally letting the already injured assailant fall down the stairs and crack open his skull.
  • The Artful Dodger: Pretty self-sufficient, and more accustomed to park benches than beds at this point. He's not one to turn down Lucas' offers of help, though.
  • Berserk Button: Two that are definitely not played for laughs - comparing him to his uncle, and harming Lucas in any way.
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: Appoints himself as Lucas' bodyguard when things get heated in Saffron.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: His uncle burning his eye out. Temporarily made even worse when he returned to Saffron to find his grandfather had died.
  • Drama Queen: Sometimes flips into this mode when dealing with Lucas.
  • Genius Ditz: Not always the sharpest knife in the drawer, but touch on something he's studied and he comes off like a pro.
  • Handsome Lech: His pick-up lines are actually painful. Even worse, he knows this, but can't seem to help it.
  • Hypocritical Heartwarming: Nobody disrespects Lucas but him. Similarly, no one mooches off Lucas but him.
  • Like an Old Married Couple: Jerry asserts that Lucas is the wife in this relationship.
  • Morality Chain: Lucas is his. When forced to be separated from him for long periods, Jerry is known to become increasingly irritable, apathetic, and ultimately rather violent and sociopathic until they're reunited.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: To some degree, out of a wish to exhibit as few similarities with his scientist uncle as possible.
  • Psychic Powers: Hyper Awareness. Has the ability to sense when others' psychic powers are active, as well as having an overall heightened sense of his surroundings and see and interact with ghosts. This seems to be expanding into precognition.
  • Rummage Sale Reject: Justified in that he's generally homeless and takes what he can get.
  • Sociopathic Hero: Exhibits sociopathic behaviors that are much less noticeable with Lucas' influence.
  • These Hands Have Killed: Leading to a heartbreaking episode later on where he scrubs his hands raw following a nightmare.
  • We Named the Monkey "Jack": In a fit of questionable judgement, Lucas named the first Pokemon he caught in Orre after Jerry.
  • The Woobie

Lucas Courtwater

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucascourtwater_8247.jpg
FC: Tamaki Suoh of Ouran High School Host Club

A cheerful young man born into old money and big business in Saffron City, he moves abruptly to Orre for reasons that are vague at best and proceeds to unwittingly become entangled in everyone else's problems. Despite a prevailing sunny disposition, it seems like the unfinished business he left in Saffron is about to follow him abroad.

  • Attractive Bent-Gender: While Disguised in Drag in order to investigate an exclusive club.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Irene frequently calls him out on it. Jerry finds it endearing.
  • Dance Battler: Generally fights by gracefully dodging hits until he sees an opening to strike, quickly and precisely.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Collects them like stamps. Lulu, Pretty Boy, Daisy, Lucy, Lucky, Fruit Cup . . .
  • Fiction 500: His father's family is nobility. His mother is heir to the Sawsmart and Sawsbucks fortunes.
  • Hates Being Touched: He doesn't really mind brief things like handshakes or a pat on the shoulder, but any physical contact beyond that tends to make him deeply uncomfortable. Luckily this doesn't apply when it's Jerry, or a couple of other people he's particularly close to.
  • I'm Having Soul Pains: Post Mind Rape, he's been plagued with a host of symptoms ranging from incapacitating headaches, to waves of disorientation, to a deep-set feeling of abstract wrongness.
  • Incorruptible Pure Pureness: One of the reasons why Jerry is so fiercely protective of him.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: Jerry regularly mentally refers to them as "precious baby blues"
  • Like an Old Married Couple: Argues this way with Jeremiah, of course.
  • Mind Rape: Done to him by one of the plot's main antagonists during the pivotal riot in Saffron, sparking events that would land him exiled in Orre.
  • Secret Identity: Prep school kid/freeloading protected witness by day . . . street vigilante by night.
  • Smarter Than You Look: Much, much more intelligent than one would assume upon meeting him.
  • Socially Awkward Hero: Was cripplingly shy as a child, and sometimes it still shows.
  • Yandere: His Snorunt, Sophie. She likes to headbutt him and anyone who comes near him.

Mimoza Schorl

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2de27aac4afb1e56a393e42850afb7c5.png
FC: Kotobuki Tsumugi of K-On! and Koumi Haruka of Rail Wars!

Sera Werner

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4dc52aea3c9e7367095a6837cebaed03.jpg
FC: Yuyuka Nekota of Daytime Shooting Star

One of Engel's younger sisters; her twin sister is currently in a coma. A shy, sweet girl who specializes in bentos and possesses aura abilities.

    Interpol

Ace Venchurro

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/84dfae390891f0976da6e8db16312b98.jpg
FC: Nice of Hamatora''

A senior agent and tracking specialist for Interpol.

Crispin Mercer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cristropes_6152.png
FC: Rin Matsuoka of Free!

A Rank A Special Agent that unofficially joins the Wizen unit shortly after their arrival in the city.

  • Brains and Brawn: Often the Brawn to Engel's Brain, though in solo work he can more than handle both rolls.
  • Nerves of Steel: Apparently nothing fazes him.
  • Professional Killer: Implied. Not the central part of his job but not all his targets are required to be brought back alive.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Engel after unofficially attaching himself to his unit

Eileen Paulsen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eileenpaulsen_3453.png
FC: Lightning of Final Fantasy XIII

A computer expert currently employed by Interpol. She has a thing for cats, candy, aliens, the 80's, and finding a husband for her best friend, Engel.

Engel Werner

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/engel_tropes_875.png
FC: Haine Rammsteiner of Dogs: Bullets & Carnage

The Rank S agent in charge of the site's main Wizen Interpol Unit

Vesta Dressler (Aspis - retired)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vesta_899.jpg
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aspismask_4662.jpg
FC: Emilia Justina of The Devil is a Part-Timer!
Aspis FC: Izanagi of Persona 4

  • Canine Companion: Oscar, her Mightyena.
  • Character Development: So far, mostly OOC; her characterization now is much less extreme than it was in early (now non-canon) IC Box sessions and drafts of her profile. In-character development is inevitable though, as she begins to open up more and meet new people.
  • Chaste Hero: Sought after by many men and women . . . and has yet to notice.
  • Expy: Her Electivire is one of Cole MacGrath of inFAMOUS.
  • Ironic Name: Vesta is the Roman goddess of the hearth, home, and family, while Vesta herself... doesn't hold those in as high regard as her namesake, mostly due to her troubled past. She actually does genuinely care about those she deems her family, though she isn't touchy-feely about it like most people are.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Though she has a weird way of showing it, she does genuinely care for her Pokemon, considering them comrades.
  • Lack of Empathy: She still has trouble with empathy, but ever since becoming part of Interpol, she's starting to grow a sense of it, especially when Pokémon are concerned.
  • Loony Friends Improve Your Personality: To a degree. While she hasn't really hung out with Ricki a lot due to different lifestyles, Ricki's general goodhearted dickery has had an effect on her. Also, this sort of thing tends to happen around the Interpol offices, though there she's more an observer than part of it there.
  • Military Brat: Raised by her militaristic father.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: While fairly toned, her strength is still nowhere near proportionate to her size.
  • No Kill like Overkill: Not an uncommon tactic with her, though she can hold herself back if she needs to.
  • Sacrificed Basic Skill for Awesome Training: Is extremely strong, but missed out on regular social conditioning.
  • Stepford Snarker: As she starts to slowly get more comfortable around people and become more human, she shows elements of this.
  • Surrounded by Idiots: As far as her IC experiences have gone, this is pretty much how she feels.
  • Sweet Tooth: Though she doesn't really know it.
  • Training from Hell: How her training under her father went.
  • When She Smiles: Surpisingly enough, she can smile. She can even smile sincerely, given enough motivation.

    Pokemon League

Arthur Symphonia

Rikkan Aurelia

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rikkanepoch_144.jpg
FC: Calintz Jerevinan of Magna Carta

A Pokemon Ranger based in Orre.

Miguel Hidalgo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/migu_7557.png
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/taskm_4014.jpg
FC: Gilbert Nightray of PandoraHearts
Le Capuchon FC: Taskmaster of Taskmaster

  • Asshole Victim: The thugs he targets are no saints, but LeClaire and most of his underlings take the cake.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: He got the Dark Gym Leader (Gym Co-Leader before the Nue update) position for a reason.
  • Bastard Understudy: Formerly to the Hidalgo family. Officially he was one to Eduardo, but in practice he was one to Don Felix. Not that it matters since he betrays the entire family anyway.
  • Battle Couple: Often mistaken to be part of one with Miyu.
  • Benevolent Boss: Despite being evil and a pervert, he is this to his employees. This is because he knows the merits of loyalty.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Underneath that nice, eccentric businessman facade is a ruthless killer and manipulator.
  • Circus Brat: He was one from birth until his late teen years. He still exhibits the skills he'd learned from his circus days and hasn't lost his touch, but very few people know this.
  • Complexity Addiction: He really loves making complex plans because it's more fun.
  • Con Man: He's been this since he was forced to live on the streets and has just escalated the stakes and rewards.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: The Hidalgos were this when they were alive, with Miguel keeping up the tradition of his predecessors.
  • Cry for the Devil: After everything that he's been through, it's hard not to.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: People think that the murder of his immediate family is this, but that's only a small part of the story. Most of it he keeps buried and unknown to the world, and he'd like to keep it that way.
  • Dark Is Evil: He pretends to be Dark is Not Evil, but in truth he is. Very much so.
  • Five-Finger Discount: He used to do it back when he was on the streets, and sometimes even now just for fun.
  • Friends with Benefits: The current relationship between Miguel and Miyu
  • In Love with Your Carnage: One of the reasons why he likes Miyu so much and keeps her around.
  • Large Ham: That's what happens when you're raised in a circus and love it.
  • Living Lie Detector: He's been trained by his master to spot lies by sensing and/or viewing someone's Aura. He's also taught himself on how to read most of a person's more obvious tells when lying.
  • Man of Wealth and Taste: Became this after being adopted by the Hidalgo family
  • Master of the Mixed Message - To the point that everyone thinks that he's a couple with Miyu when she's just his friend and secretary. Being Friends with Benefits with her and her encouraging the misconception doesn't help.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: He openly likes morbid topics like death, torture, and blood. It's somewhat stereotypical of a Dark Gym Leader so he doesn't get much strange stares for it. However, he does hide the fact that he finds it hot when a beautiful woman murders and tortures people as well.
  • Parental Abandonment: Not only his parents, but his parental substitutes LeClaire and Anderson too!
  • Parental Substitute: Initially LeClaire after the death of his entire family, but after learning of the truth about his actions it shifted to Michael Anderson, his mentor. Miguel lets people think that Don Felix was this, but he isn't.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: He went on one after finding out that LeClaire arranged the deaths of his family and the destruction of the circus he used to live in. This resulted in him murdering LeClaire and burning down the man's circus and all the people in it like the man had to his own years ago.
  • Scarily Competent Tracker: A product of his Aura abilities and training under Master Anderson.
  • Secret Identity: Grim/Le Capuchon. The name Miguel Hidalgo is technically another false identity since his real one, Francisco Colleano, has been declared dead for years.
  • Smoking Is Cool: The main reason he actually smokes is to make himself look cool and sophisticated in order to complete his image.
  • Sympathetic Murderer: It's hard not to feel sorry for him after everything he's been through, but he's still a murderer through and through.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: What he is aiming for.
  • Yandere: Surprisingly, he is one for Miyu though it rarely ever rears its head.
  • You Killed My Father: Miguel to LeClaire, though it was both his parents and not just his dad.

    Archived and Dropped Characters

FC: Eru Chitanda of Hyouka

  • Genki Girl: Energetic? Check. Confident and determined? Check. Exhausts, astonishes, and occasionally creeps out her friends and family? Uh, yes.
  • Yandere: In the IC, at least. Loses it a little after finding out that her arranged marriage was a prank orchestrated by Sable.

FC: Namie Yagiri of Durarara!!

  • Brutal Honesty: Can be hilariously blunt. One wonders if she isn't trolling half the time.
  • Inter-Class Romance: Irene's family is lower-middle class at best - Lucas' family comes from nobility, and owns Saws-Mart and Sawsbucks.
  • Scholarship Student: The tuition for her League courses is in large part being taken care of.

Lorraine "Rain" Hasan

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lorraineh_650.jpg
FC: Mio Akiyama of K-On!

Lorraine “Rain” Hasan was born and raised with the high expectations of becoming a world famous coordinator. But with her mother’s strict nature, constant lectures, and failing to win most of the contests she entered, Rain’s confidence was shot and her nerves were in a constantly rattled state. It wasn't up until recently did she finally snap under the pressure and run away from home and her career to begin her real dream of becoming a Pokémon Trainer.

Maelstrom Marone

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/maemae_3739.jpg

At first glance, he may seem like nothing special, this 17 year old who is short for his age, but beneath the facade is a skilled tactical trainer whose aim is nothing short of champion of the Pokemon League. He employs various Pokemon trained to fight with a logical edge, but often falls short when the odds are stacked against him. Maelys has little memory of his mother, who disappeared when he was young, and his father works undercover, leaving him mostly to his own devices. Though he rarely gets a chance to show it, Mae does know self-defense, namely a method of using the opponents weight against them.

  • Oblivious to Love: Feels something for some of the cuter girls he meets, but he doesn't know what it is.

  • Lovable Sex Maniac: Hits on just about any guy, regardless of age. And then there's her manga collection . . .
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Hasn't really done anything yet, but acts like she would jump at the chance. Often played for laughs.

Sable Hasan (Saber)

Shiori Ugumi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shiori_7165.jpg
FC: Oda Nobuna of The Ambition of Oda Nobuna

  • Insane Troll Logic: Her default state of mind given much of her reasoning (or lack therof) for the things she does. Honestly, at this point it's just a matter of determining whether it was a result of being raised by her parents (both fellow practitioners), if she picked it somewhere else along the way or if she's really just like that.

Stellar Aurelia

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stellar_1246.jpg
FC: Taiwan of Axis Power Hetalia

A war veteran trainer hailing from an unknown region, the 24-year-old woman has now settled to travel around the peaceful regions as a retirement of sorts. She's a cheery, kind person, though be careful not to get on her bad side; while she has vowed to never kill again unless necessary; her war ridden past has made her restraints loose and shaky.

  • Alternate Continuity: As of the revival of the roleplay she was originally from, Stellar's current future have diverged into an alternate continuity.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Applies to her and mostly her team, especially the ones that had survived with her through the war.
  • Combat Pragmatist: She have been this before, and if the stakes are high enough, Stellar wouldn't mind doing anything.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She's reluctant to tell people about her past, for a good reason.
  • Genius Bruiser: Her Aggron fits this the most, though the steel type is also a Gentle Giant.
  • Necessary Fail: She argued with her father, and stormed out of the house in a fit of childish stubbornness and fury. Stellar regrets it, but without it, she would never have been involved in the war, which taught her good and bad things. Without the war, she would never have a reason to move to these regions.
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Sometimes, enemies must stay down. Stellar knows. Her team knows, without their trainer's command.
  • Weak, but Skilled: She might not look much, but don't piss her off in any way. She only barely reins in her battlelust, which was tempered into bloodlust thanks to the environment she was raised in.
