Mane Six/Council of Friendship

    open/close all folders

    General
  • Adaptational Badass: Though their canon counterparts are no slouches themselves, the Mane Six in the Codexverse are much more powerful and competent than they are. It later goes even further when all six of them Ascend to godhood.
  • Amazon Brigade: As in canon, they are a group of six mares who rose up to become renowned Equestrian heroines. Later, they would become a team of Ascendant goddesses. They were also essentially Equestria's only effective military and taskforce due to their status as Element Bearers and the Royal Guards' sheer incompetence, something that an interviewing Jade Shell realized to her horror.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Each and every one of them have their own unusual quirks, habits, and flaws. However, they are extremely skilled at their unique special talents, and are a competent team that saved Equestria multiple times. They are also relied on by several members of Ponyville in running important celebrations and events.
  • The Chosen Many: All six mares were chosen to wield the Elements of Harmony by the Elements themselves, due to each of them having a specific trait that resonated with a specific element. They would later pass down their respective Elements to the Young/Student Six, though they are still able to call on the powers retained from their time as Bearers. It's later deconstructed — Jade Shell noticed with considerable alarm that because of their powers, the Mane Six were essentially relied on by Equestria at large as their only working military/task force in light of the Royal Guards' sheer incompetence as a force, which is thanks to both Celestia's own incompetence in military affairs and deep-rooted corruption in the nobility.
  • Circle of Friendship: Because the Elements of Harmony — and later, their Rainbow Powers — only work when all of the Bearers are together, the Mane Six always form a circle whenever they want to unleash their ultimate attack on villains, with Twilight/Amicitia taking command.
  • Deity of Human Origin: All of the Mane Six became Ascendant goddesses, with Twilight/Amicitia being the first as in canon.
  • Embodiment of Virtue: As in canon, each member of the Mane Six embodied and even got chosen as Bearers of a specific aspect of Friendship/Harmony — Applejack/Veritas embodied Honesty, Pinkie Pie/Thalia embodied Laughter, Rarity Belle/Lucia embodied Generosity, Fluttershy/Gaia embodied Kindness, Rainbow Dash/Fidelitas embodied Loyalty, and Twilight/Amicitia Sparkle embodied Magic. Even after giving away the Elements of Harmony to the Young Six, the Mane Six's connection to their Elements never left them, and gained their chosen Element as domains after Ascending to (demi-)godhood.
  • Fantastic Racism: On the receiving end. During the 'Well-To-Do Crisis', the Mane Six traveled to the Alvslog kingdom of Thicket to try persuade King Aspen to stop conquering Ponyville, only to be treated by him as 'inferior' for being non-Deer. Worryingly, even Aspen's young son, Crown-Prince Bramble, was very snooty to the Mane Six because of their race. This soured the Mane Six's view of King Aspen, with a then-mortal Applejack/Veritas calling him (and the propaganda comic that was made by Aspen's radical supporters to glamorize him) "a stinkin', rotten piece of horseapples", among other things.
  • Mirroring Factions: The Mane Six is a collective mirror of the Redeeming Six. Like the Redeeming Six, all members of the Mane Six were brought together by a certain Pony (Twilight/Amicitia for the Mane Six, Moon Ray/Canticum for the Redeeming Six) and underwent the biggest trials of their lives (Nightmare Moon for the Mane Six, drug abuse/recovery and Moon Ray's death for the Redeeming Six). Despite each of them having their own different flaws and having screwed up with even each other at times, they still remained friends and eventually became renowned heroes for their promotion of a certain virtue — in the Mane Six's case, they promoted friendship and harmony, as they achieved great things while working together. And like the Redeeming Six, all members of the Mane Six Ascended to godhood, with Twilight/Amicitia being the first to do so. They even gain an alternative name in the "Council of Friendship/Redemption".
  • Only the Chosen May Wield: The Elements of Harmony only work with chosen Bearers, and they can be passed down to the next generation if they are considered worthy. Thus, only the Mane Six can wield them. Starfall Dusk's attempt to take the Elements of Harmony by force fails completely because they have rejected her for what she did to her own friends, allowing Twilight/Mana Equus to demolish her rather quickly. The Mane Six eventually pass their Elements onto the Young Six, who were all deemed worthy of becoming Bearers themselves by the Tree of Harmony.
  • Passing the Torch: The Mane Six eventually pass on their Elements to the Young Six, who all proved themselves worthy of becoming Bearers. Their decision attracted ire from racist Ponies to the point of forming a lynch mob because they wanted all Element Bearers to be only Ponies, which the Young Six (save for Sandbar) aren't. A disgusted Princess Applejack/Veritas proceeded to shame many into leaving the Young Six alone, while physically retaliating against the few who stayed behind.
  • Politically-Active Princess: Save for Fluttershy/Gaia, who is a Queen, the Mane Six are divine Princesses, but only Twilight/Amicitia and Applejack/Veritas are actively involved in politics due to either being a ruler and/or part of a royal family.
  • True Companions: Despite their many flaws and mistakes, all of the Mane Six share a very close friendship with each other long after Twilight brought them together. This became a plot point in dealing with Starfall Dusk, as the Mane Six's close bonds let Twilight/Mana Equus summon them as magical spirits while inside a Pocket Dimension, allowing them to free the bound spirits of Starfall Dusk's tortured friends.
  • Winged Unicorn: Four of the Mane Six became Alicorns post-Ascension. Pinkie, however, became a Draconequus instead.
  • Xenafication: All of the Mane Six were already badass heroines in canon, but of them all, only Twilight/Amicitia became an Alicorn. Here, all of the Mane Six have additional powers and skills that their canon counterparts do not have. And not only does Twilight/Amicitia become an Alicorn, but the rest of the Mane Six Ascend, too.

Princess Amicitia Sparkle Equestria, the Spark of Friendship/Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship
See her page here.

Fluttershy Posey, the Kind Redeemer/Queen Gaia Posey the First, the Chosen Redeemer

Character: Heroic

Alignment: Neutral Good

Type: Chosen One/Redeemer/Mutant/Mother/Pegasus

Faction: Principalities of Equestria/The Council of Friendship

"I know that I'm weak, shy, and not very brave... but there is still strength in Kindness. And if my friends need me, I will do anything to make sure they are all provided for."

Fluttershy Posey (her entry here) is the Bearer of Kindness, and a member of the Mane Six. While Fluttershy appears to be the same meek yet kind pegasus mare as she was in canon, she's actually a Happy Tail pegasus. Most of her magic is channeled through her tail, allowing Fluttershy to manipulate it like an extra limb. In addition to being nature's friend and an animal caretaker, she's a skilled buckball player.

Ironically, she struck up a rapport with Changeling King Brachion (though he was disguised at the time), and became one of few people to earn his respect through her steadfast devotion to her beliefs.
  • Adaptational Badass: In canon, Fluttershy is a shy pegasus who's Hidden Depths make her quite formidable. Here, she's a "Happy Tail", a sub type of pony who channels their magic through their hair and use it like an extra limb, and is a skilled buckball player. She also briefly claimed the power of the Enchanted Throne, briefly becoming the strongest mortal on Equus and paralyzing a Changeling King and allowing him to be defeated. She returned the power quickly, however, as she was scared of ruling. She eventually claims it for good.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Her birth name was Fluttershy Posey. After becoming Queen of Friendship Gardens, she is renamed Queen Gaia Posey I.
  • Awesome Moment of Crowning: Several years after the League of Domination Crisis, Fluttershy would finally step up the Enchanted Throne of Friendship Gardens and become their official queen, Queen Gaia the First.
  • Badass Pacifist: Fluttershy/Gaia is a pacifist at her core and detests fighting or violence. However, she's still very capable of defending herself, but does so by sending opponent's force and attacks back at them rather than damaging them herself. She's also willing to support her allies who are willing to use violence, even if she won't herself. After accepting the Majestic Power, she becomes the most powerful mortal on the planet. It helps that she now has Fluttercruel/Odyne and Flutterbat to tag in if she's in a situation where a peaceful solution isn't possible.
  • Beast and Beauty: She's the beauty to Discord's beast.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She is kindhearted, gentle, soft-spoken and much more timid when she was younger. But if someone/something threatens her loved ones and puts helpless innocents in danger, she will not hesitate to Stare them down into submission. After obtaining the Majestic Power, she's the most powerful mortal alive.
  • Beyond the Impossible: She not only managed to resist Discord's mind-games, but also help defeat him outright and, ultimately, redeem him. This got everyone's attention, including the likes of the Changeling Court, because Discord is not only a powerful God of Chaos, but was also one of the most vile, loathed, and evil despots in recorded history; not even Cosmos, prior to her corruption and transformation into a Draconequus by Discord, was able to redeem him. It's implied this is due to her natural empathy allowing her to connect with and redeem others to almost supernatural degrees, though some believe that her paradoxical nature as a Humble Hero and Cowardly Lion allowed her to resist Discord's influence, while others that Discord let her redeem him out of fascination/love for someone he couldn't corrupt.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Arrived with reinforcements from Friendship Gardens to aid Lady Cinder I, the Obsidian Queen, with whom she and Fluttercruel had developed friendship, at the climatic battle against the returned Stormswirl, the Light Drinker.
  • Blow You Away: While Pegasi naturally have this power as part of their tribal Weather Manipulation powers, hers is massively buffed once she inherits Queen Majesty's power. Her wind manipulation becomes so strong, she can generate tornados capable of blowing around adult dragons.
  • Break the Cutie: Subverted; while she's horrified to learn of the Darwinist aspects of nature, she still remains convinced that she can rise above and change nature, impressing King Brachion (who was disguised as a Deer at the time) and making him question his beliefs in survival relying on being the strongest predator.
  • Catch and Return: When she arrives to help her friend Cinder I against Stormswirl, she uses the Majestic Power and her wind magic to catch his attack and send it right back at him.
  • Category Traitor: The pro-Pegasi Scions of Hurricane faction sees her as a "race traitor" for leaving Cloudsdale to live on the ground with the Unicorns and Earth Ponies they so despise.
  • The Chosen One:
    • As in canon, she is chosen by the Element of Kindness to be its Bearer after consistently showing kindness to the creatures of Everfree while on her quest to defeat Nightmare Moon. She later passes on her Element to Sandbar sometime after becoming Queen of Friendship Gardens.
    • Likewise, she is chosen by Celestia to redeem Discord, then seen as impossible due to how evil he was in the past. Luminiferous also chooses her as a candidate for godhood due to her potential to become the greatest redeemer of the Fourth Age, capable of redeeming even the Summer Court Changeling Kings, who are infamous for being cunning, tyrannical schemers bar none.
    • She ends up being chosen to wield the Majestic Power by none other than Queen Majesty, the strongest mortal to ever exist and the founder of Friendship Gardens, after proving herself worthy. Majesty also deems her worthy of becoming Queen of Friendship Gardens, something she was initially too humble to accept, but later does sometime after the 'League of Domination Crisis'.
  • Commonality Connection: She developed a close friendship with Blue Suede Heartstrings, then the Alicorn god of Music and Humility, because of their shared humility and compassion for others despite their great power and positions.
  • Cowardly Lion: She's very squeamish and prone to fainting, but she's saved Equestria plenty of times.
  • Defeating the Undefeatable: Variation: many have tried to redeem Discord throughout history, and all have failed miserably, with some like Cosmos being corrupted by him instead, to the point many believed he was Beyond Redemption. Fluttershy shocked everyone by successfully reforming him, earning her the title 'Redeemer of the Serpent'.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Apart from her unique 'Stare' ability, Fluttershy is for all intents and purposes an ordinary pegasus mare who has done many extraordinary things. She is also the Bearer of the Element of Kindness as well as the recipient and eventually inheritor of Friendship Garden's Enchanted Throne, both its powers and its position.
  • Face Your Fears: Despite suffering from intense Dracophobia, she nonetheless dealt with and helped out several Dragons throughout her life.
    • She confronted a rogue Dragon (whose sleep was threatening to cover Equestria in smoke) and used her now-famous Stare on it when her friends were being threatened. This not only reduced the rogue Dragon to tears, but also got it to back down willingly and leave of its own accord after apologizing.
    • Despite being terrified of Cinder I, she still gave the former a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear, allowing Cinder I to vent her grief over losing her previous children to Stormswirl, the Light Drinker. She also provided Cinder and her husband, Pyro II, some much-needed aid in the 'Battle of Clashing Darkness' against Stormswirl himself, which proved vital in rescuing Cinder I and Pyro II's corrupted children. Out of gratitude, Cinder I later named her and her daughter, Fluttercruel, the godmothers of her and Pyro II's latest clutch of eggs.
  • Fertile Feet: In the "Final Ragnarok" arc, her potential future self as an Alicorn goddess can make even dead plant matter bloom with life again simply by touching them with her hooves; for example, the tree branch she stood on bloomed with flowers.
  • Friend to All Living Things: As in canon, Fluttershy is this to all life, and WILL rise above her own timidity and 'weakness' to its defense without hesitation.
  • Generation Xerox: Just like Private Pansy, she was a shy and timid mare who suffered from cripplingly low self-esteem, but was capable of great potential and determinedness in certain situations. And like Posey, she's a nature lover who became a legendary heroine in her time.
  • Godzilla Threshold: After discovering she's worthy of the Majestic Power, she can take it up any time she wants as well as return it. However, due to her humility and the fact the power comes with becoming a queen, she only chooses to access it in times of dire need such as Final Ragnarok. Subverted later, however, as she decides to take it up and become the new Queen of Friendship Gardens.
  • Gone Horribly Right: She tried learning from Iron Will how to become more assertive, and ended up becoming a Jerkass. While she admits she took the lessons too far, she did end up becoming self-confident once she learned to find a proper balance, and even befriended Iron Will.
  • Good Parents: Despite Fluttercruel being the result of a then-evil Discord trying to forcefully brainwash her, she doesn't blame her for what her 'father' did and raised her with kindness. This caused Fluttercruel, who was initially very antagonistic, to become a genuine Jerk with a Heart of Gold and Anti-Hero who is very close to her. Her choice to give Fluttercruel a loving upbringing is what later saved her life, as Fluttercruel emerged through her to protect her from Cosmos. Temnobog actually praised her for being a good parent to Fluttercruel, as he himself was abused by Irminsul as a fawn just for being born evil.
  • The Heart: Her chosen Element is Kindness, so naturally she's the one who keeps the Mane Six together and reaches out to their hearts when things get tough.
  • Heroic Lineage: She's a descendant of Private Pansy, one of the Founders of Equestria, as well as Posey, a legendary heroine from the First Age.
  • The High Queen: Though initially too humble to accept it, she proved herself to be a competent, kind, and fair Queen of Friendship Gardens whenever she did accept the role during great crises. Eventually, sometime after the League of Domination's defeat, she chooses to become Queen for good, though her shyness still affects her in some ways. She later states that she only took the throne and its Majestic Power because it provided her a way to help more people than she could without them.
  • Honorary Uncle: Cinder I makes her and Fluttercruel the godmothers of her latest clutch of eggs, due to them helping beat Stormswirl and save their corrupted children from him, on top of both of them being extremely kind to her.
  • Humble Hero: World saving heroine, chosen Queen of Friendship Gardens, and the most powerful mortal alive...and never seeks admiration or praise for any of it. She just views it all as a means to be kind and nice to others, and never uses it for her own gain.
  • Interspecies Romance: She began dating Discord (who had completely reformed by this point) sometime after becoming Queen of Friendship Gardens for real. To everyone's shock, Discord would later propose to her and marry her, taking the title of Prince-Consort and being a good husband as a sign that he had genuinely changed.
  • In the Blood: She was noted to have inherited her mousy character from her parents and Fourth-Age ancestor, Private Pansy, who were all equally shy and timid. She also inherited her love for nature from her First-Age ancestor, Posey.
  • The Magnificent: Shaping up to be 'The Chosen Redeemer', given her track record in reforming villains such as Discord, and has potential to redeem many, many others.
  • Meaningful Rename: She is dubbed Queen Gaia when she takes up the Majestic Power and becomes Queen of Friendship Gardens, Gaia being the embodiment of the Earth.
  • Mind Hive: Her daughters Fluttercruel/Odyne and Flutterbat are Sharing a Body with her, due to originating from mental effects on her. Thus at any given time, there are three souls in her body.
  • Morality Pet:
    • She ended up serving as one to Discord, then a very cruel God of Chaos who abused his powers to torment mortals and gods on a whim. Against all odds, she redeemed Discord, which earned her the title of "Redeemer of the Serpent" and caught the attention of the Changeling Courts.
    • This is downplayed with Changeling King Brachion. She doesn't know his true identity, but nonetheless treated him with compassion and proved steadfast in her beliefs regarding nature itself. Brachion grew fond of her enough that he is willing to go out of his way to protect her even when it doesn't benefit him at all, which is significant considering that he's a sadistic biologist who completely subscribes to 'The Law of the Jungle'.
    • This is discussed between Luminiferous and Celestia. While Celestia is worried about foisting so much responsibility onto Fluttershy, Luminiferous is confident in that she has the potential to become this for many villains and pave the way for their redemption.
Luminiferous: (to Celestia) [Fluttershy] has the potential to be not just A redeemer, but THE redeemer. The greatest of this Age. The one who will be the leader of many lost souls back to the light. She can do it... and you know she can.
  • Mutants: She's described here as being a pegasus with a Happy Tail mutation, which is actually very common in equine species.
  • Nice Guy: She's Fluttershy, so she couldn't be anything else. She's acknowledged In-Universe as one of the kindest beings in the setting, and despite having gained the Majestic Power and with it becoming the strongest mortal alive, her only interest in its use is to help others and be kind.
  • No-Sell: She is able to be completely unaffected by Discord's attempts to corrupt her.
  • Odd Friendship:
    • Ironically, Fluttershy managed to strike up a decent rapport with a disguised King Brachion, who is The Social Darwinist and a Mad Scientist.
    • She's also very close friends with Cinder I, the Obsidian Queen, despite being a shy, timid little pegasus who's afraid of dragons and Cinder being a mountain-sized dragon demigoddess with sadistic tendencies.
  • Offered the Crown: Due to sitting on the Enchanted Throne and being chosen as worthy of the Majestic Power, she was offered the throne of Friendship Garden as per custom. She turns it down and returned the power, only taking it up when needed. She did temporarily become Queen during great crises to lead Friendship Garden and rally them, but always returns it. Several years after the end of the series proper, she finally decides to take the offer and become their Queen.
  • Only the Chosen May Wield:
    • Like in canon, she is chosen by the Element of Kindness to be its Bearer after consistently showing kindness to others. She later passes on her Element to Sandbar, her successor and an Earth Pony.
    • She is also discovered to be worthy of the Majestic Power within the Enchanted Throne and can use it, but she only does so when absolutely necessary as she was initially too humble to accept being Queen of Friendship Gardens. She eventually does accept the throne permanently and become their Queen due to how many people she can help, however.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Her mane and tail are pink and she's the girly girl of the Main Six.
  • Prehensile Tail: Fluttershy's Happy Tail mutation comes in this form - she has a magic field that is channeled through her tail hair, allowing her to use said tail like an extra limb. This proves very useful when playing buckball games.
  • Pretty Butterflies: Her potential future self is that of a beautiful Alicorn goddess with butterfly wings.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: After emerging from the Enchanted Throne wielding the Majestic Power (temporarily), she effortlessly catches an incoming punch from King Pectinicornis and subjects him to an enhanced Stare, roaring out this line while doing so:
Fluttershy Posey: Leave. My. Friends. ALONE!
  • The Redeemer: Is known as the 'Kind Redeemer' thanks to her famous redemption of Discord through kindness. More importantly, Luminiferous is of the opinion that she has the potential of being THE Redeemer of the Fourth Age, the one who would lead many lost souls back to the light. She seemed to be hitting it off with Changeling King Brachion of all people, and also extended a hoof to Black Diamond, the Troll King despite him being a gestalt reverent of an entire group of Troll's accumulated vengeful hatred and vindictive malice.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Openly admits she only became queen is because believes she can help people on a larger scale.
"I never really wanted power or to be a queen, I just wanted to help animals and ponies...but I realized every time I took up this power, I could help far more ponies than I ever was able to before...I can help an entire country, and through that help the entire world...The kind thing to do is to take the throne, not for me, but for all of them."
  • Sharing a Body: Her daughter Fluttercruel/Odyne was born from Discord's Mind Rape of her, and thus was born as a separate soul inside of Fluttershy's body. It's later revealed Flutterbat is also in there.
  • Sizeshifter: Once she gets the Majestic Power and gains some experience with it, she and Fluttercruel are able to do this with the sheer magic power it provides. The one instance shown so far sees her casually grow to be large enough to hug Lady Cinder I, the Obsidian Queen, who is an abnormally huge Ryujin demigoddess, though due to inexperience she has trouble reversing it.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": She was incredibly flustered (and happy) when she met Mister Make Believe, ancestor of Ms. Make Believe and ascendant Second Age God of Kindness.
  • Took a Level in Badass: On top of her noticeable canonical one, she ends up inheriting the power of Queen Majesty, becoming the strongest mortal on the planet.
  • Transformation of the Possessed: Whenever she 'tags out' to Fluttercruel or Flutterbat, her body transforms into theirs, becoming half-draconequus when Fluttercruel is in control while becoming a Vampire Fruit Bat Pony when Flutterbat is in the driver's seat.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: As the inheritor of the Majestic Power, she's the strongest mortal on the planet, but lacks Majesty's aeons of experience and spell casting. As such, she's far from at her full potential.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She suffers from Dracophobia, which is an intense fear of Dragons. However, despite this, she has regularly gone far and beyond to not only confront a Dragon for her friends' sake (as she did with a rogue Dragon whose smoke threatened to endanger Equestria), but also help Dragons (as she did in the 'Battle of Clashing Darkness' by personally stepping in to help Cinder I and Pyro II defeat Stormswirl). Ironically, the Majestic Power lets her turn into a dragon.
  • Winged Unicorn: As shown in the "Final Ragnarok" arc, she currently has great potential to become one. When Luminiferous empowered her and her daughter, Fluttercruel, to help defeat Vig and Awnd of the Shadowed Ones, Fluttershy turned into an Alicorn goddess with butterfly wings, a yellow-to-pink wing gradient, an armored barding made of wood, and Fertile Feet that caused a dead tree branch she was standing on to bloom with flowers. Luminiferous also showed Celestia of an image of this when the Princess expressed worry and doubt over making Fluttershy redeem the then-evil and irredeemable Discord.
  • World's Strongest Man:
    • Very briefly: she turned out to be worthy of the Majestic Power within the Enchanted Throne, and with it was the most powerful mortal pony on the planet while she possessed it. She returned it quickly, however, due to not wanting to rule Friendship Garden. This becomes permanent after she steps up to the Enchanted Throne of Friendship Garden and becomes its Queen several years after the 'League of Domination' Crisis.
    • This is showcased when she arrives to aid in the fight against Stormswirl and his corrupted dragon army. She introduces herself by using a tornado to blow back the corrupted dragons, then catching one of Stormswirl's (one of the most powerful dark warlocks to have ever lived and in a tier rivaling deities in power) attacks throwing it right back at him. She and her daughter then help hold off the corrupted dragons so Cinder I and Pyro II can beat the warlock.

Rainbow Dash, the Loyal Wonderbolt/Aurora Angel II/Princess Fidelitas, the Cycle Breaker

Classification: Ascendant

Portfolio: Loyalty, Free Will, Breaking Cycles

Rank: Godling

The Element of Loyalty and a member of the Mane Six. While Dash has thought herself to be just an exceptional pegasus mare, she's actually a Rainbow Pony, capable of controlling light, energy, and rainbows. She remains largely ignorant of her heritage despite her many accomplishments, and it's for this reason that Luminiferous, the Alicorn god of Potential and Perfection, has developed an interest in her.

Like her canon incarnation, Dash is an avowed fan of Daring Do and faithfully reads her novels, even though they're all embellished versions of her actual adventures.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Despite being a Rainbow Pony who accomplished much with her speed and Sonic Rainbooms, Dash remains ignorant of the other powers her kind tends to have, such as light powers, energy and rainbow manipulation, and the fabled "Rainbow Warp". Luminiferous is interested in bringing out her full potential so she could unlock and perform the last ability mentioned.
  • Adaptational Badass:
    • While she's already a badass in canon, Dash was an incredibly fast pegasus who could perform the Sonic Rainboom. Here, her abilities were justified with her being a Rainbow Pony, a type of sub-pony that could manipulate light, energy, and rainbows (though she remains completely unaware of her full potential).
    • She is also worthy of wielding Mjolnir during the battle with the Shadowed Ones, gaining Mjolna's powers.
    • She eventually becomes an Alicorn Demigoddess and is the first of the Mane Six other than Twilight to ascend all the way to godhood.
  • Anti-Magic: As a goddess of Breaking Cycles, she has the power to negate anything related to time loops and repeating scenarios, such as a "Groundhog Day" Loop. Eventually, this is what catches the Grand Primevals' attention, since it'll allow her to kill those who perpetuate harmful, destructive cycles like High King Ragnarøkkr or Surtr. It also makes her the perfect partner/counter for Moon Ray Vaughoof, a benevolent god of Cycles, and thus both are perfect for the role of creating/maintaining healthy cycles all over the world.
  • Broken Pedestal: Her feelings towards her former idol, ex-Wonderbolt Wind Rider, are expanded here — when she learned that Wind Rider joined the Scions of Hurricane so soon after trying to ruin her life, she became absolutely furious and vowed to give him a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown for his actions. This forced her friends to calm her down before she did anything rash.
Rainbow Dash: He... joined the Scions? That... that DICKWAD who nearly RUINED MY LIFE joined the MOTHERBUCKING SCIONS?! URRRAAAAAAGH, I'M GONNA KILL HIM! I'M GONNA TRASH HIM SO HARD HE'LL WISH HE WAS NEVER BORN!
  • The Chosen One:
    • She and the rest of the Mane Six were chosen to wield the Elements of Harmony due to having specific qualities that resonated with each Element. In her case, her Element was Loyalty, being loyal to those she cared about.
    • Sometime after defeating the Storm King, she and the Mane Six would be chosen by the Tree of Harmony to go on missions to aid others, both within Equestria and beyond the country's borders. This would lead to events like bringing the Yaks out of isolation and bringing the Hippogriffs/Sea Ponies back to the surface.
    • She's potentially 'They Who Will Break Cycles', one of three creatures required to break the Cycle. While there are many possibilities, she and Yearling are the closest. By the 'Second Void Aeon', she ends up being chosen for the role.
    • She is also chosen by the Grand Primevals alongside Moon Ray Vaughoof/King Canticum Lunae Cahaya for the shared role of creating/maintaining natural cycles that push sapientkind to learn and grow, while destroying toxic cycles and entities that create/maintain such things. The reason why is because her domain of Breaking Cycles makes her the perfect partner/counter to Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae, who embodies healthy, constructive Cycles, among other things. The Grand Primevals are interested in cultivating their potential so eventually they will both inherit their intended role as expected.
  • Crossover Relatives: She's the Fourth Age descendant of Princess Arcus Unicornia (G3 Rarity) and Firefly from G1.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She eventually becomes an Alicorn demigoddess, which happened when she died in battle and fought her way back to the mortal planes so she can continue protecting those she cared about. During the 'War Against Order' crisis, she manages to go the extra step while fighting Despotic Destiny and Ascend to true godhood, being the second of the Mane Six to do so.
  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: In canon, she's a normal Pegasus who happened to be born with rainbow-colored hair. Here, she's a Rainbow Pony, which allows her to control light, energy, and rainbows. Also not in the show, her fur has a somewhat prismatic quality.
  • Faster-Than-Light Travel: It's been fabled that Rainbow Ponies can perform the Rainbow Warp, which allows them to travel to other planets. Luminiferous wants to bring out Dash's potential so she could perform this ability, due to her inherent potential to do so.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: In one potential future Ourophion sees, she becomes a ten-winged Alicorn, making her very eldritch and powerful. She nonetheless pales in comparison to Moon Ray Vaughoof, who by that point has becomes something entirely different.
  • Happily Married: It's revealed she eventually marries Thunderlane and they're happy together.
  • Hot-Blooded: Has this as her character trait, to both her benefit and detriment.
  • Man of Kryptonite: Her domain of Free Will makes her Immune to Mind Control, while her domain of Breaking Cycles allows her to negate time loops and harmful cycles, making her especially dangerous to entities whose power revolves around those things. The Grand Primevals are interested in cultivating her potential partially for this reason — she has the power to prevent beings similar to High King Ragnarøkkr from ever coming about.
  • Meaningful Name: Her Alicorn name, Fidelitas, translates to "fidelity" or "faithfulness" in Latin. She's a goddess of Loyalty, which was the result of her being a former Bearer of Loyalty who Ascended to godhood.
  • Megaton Punch: Exploiting the brief increase in durability and strength her body experiences when pulling off her Sonic Rainbooms, Rainbow Dash would develop a devastating offensive technique in the form of the 'Sonic Rainboom Punch'. And yes, she calls out her attack as she struck.
    Rainbow Dash: Sonic... RAINBOOM... PUUUNCH!!!
  • Mutants: She's a Rainbow Pony, a sub-type of ponies with a genetic mutation that allows them to control light, energy, and rainbows and tends to make them inherently gifted in speed.
  • Out of Continues: As a goddess of Breaking Cycles, her purpose is to counter and kill malicious entities who rely on creating time loops and 'resets' to avoid their well-deserved fates. The Grand Primevals become interested in her potential because her power essentially ensures that beings like High King Ragnarøkkr will never come about.
  • Pals with Jesus: A few drabbles and entries reveal that she became friends with Blue Suede Heartstrings, an ancient Alicorn musician from the Second Age. A few of the things she did with Blue Suede is sampling some of his old music made back when he was a mortal stallion, and listening to his stories about his life. Their friendship was what influenced Princess Twilight/Amicitia to reward Blue Suede after he is crowned a Prince by legalizing the Blue Bards as an official religion.
  • Treachery Is a Special Kind of Evil: As a goddess (and former Bearer) of Loyalty, she treats acts of treachery as the lowest one can do by her very nature. When the "Canterlot Coup" and the "Second Equestrian Civil War" broke out, she descended into such a frothing rage that her friends had to restrain her. Even after calming down, she spent much of the civil conflict in a state of Tranquil Fury, advocating for the harshest punishments for anyone they caught from the seditionist and treacherous factions, both during and in the aftermath.
Rainbow Dash: Traitors! TRAITORS EVERYWHERE! GRAAAAAH - !!!

Rarity Belle, the Generous Tailor/Princess Lucia, the Resplendent Perfection

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Generosity, Beauty, Perfection

Rank: Demigod

"I don't 'make' things perfect or try to remove imperfections, darling. I bring out what is already there. Why? Because that's the sort of mare I am."

Princess Lucia, born Rarity Belle (her entry here), is the Alicorn demigoddess of Generosity, Beauty, and Perfection, and is a renowned heroine and member of the Mane Six/Friendship Council.
  • Adaptational Badass: It's mentioned that she managed to fight the deranged Deinopis, using nothing but her finely-honed telekinesis. It's rather notable in that Deinopis is one of many Semi-Divine Royal Changeling daughters of Empress Blackrose, and a member of one of her family's older Spawn generations. She is also an expert swordsmane (thanks to mentorship from her extended family's Black Sheep, Jewel Cutter). She eventually ascends to Alicornhood as Princess Lucia, presumably after training under Luminiferous.
  • Adaptation Expansion: Her crush on Blueblood. Here, it's because she was inspired by the tales of Gleaming Shield and Radiant Primrose's Reincarnation Romance.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: After training under Luminiferous and Ascending to demi-godhood by absorbing a clone of Morning Star without getting corrupted by it, she became an Alicorn demigoddess who embodies Generosity, Beauty, and Perfection.
  • Animal Nemesis: On a SPECIES-level, Giant Crabs. Nobody has any real idea why Rarity and Giant Crabs periodically harass and fight each other, and Rarity Belle adamantly refuses to talk about it. Starshell Crabb, a sapient crustacean Craanaasti, suggested that Rarity's somehow 'smells' wrong to Giant Crabs and causes them to be apprehensive of her, but that is still just one possible reason among many.
  • The Apprentice:
    • She would eventually become an apprentice to Twilight Velvet in swordsmanship. Earlier in her life she also had a teacher in her Black Sheep relative Jewel Cutter, but that ended badly due to his ruthless teaching methods, which eventually went too far when he forced young Rarity to fight and destroy a timberwolf in the Everfree Forest with her sword.
    • She eventually took a Diamond Dog/Great Skunk hybrid named Bijou as her personal student and apprentice in fashion.
  • Arch-Enemy:
    • Among the Unseelie Changelings, Rarity would find one in the mad puppeteer Winter Court Deinopis Avalon, who found Rarity's telekinetic control rivalling hers.
    • She would get one upon her ascension to demigodhood in the form of Algol, the Devil Star, having ruined his plan to resurrect Morning Star by absorbing both the clone body of Morning Star Algol was making and the artifacts and relics containing Morning Star's power and essence which the Devil Star had spent hundreds of thousands of years accumulating for the resurrection ritual.
    • Some time following her ascension to a demigoddess, Rarity/Lucia would gain another persistent, formidable and more personal adversary in Queen Achlysia, who is none other than Nightmare Rarity, depicted here as Rarity's Superpowered Evil Side who later gained her own body and Ascended to demi-godhood as a villainous demigoddess.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Gender-inverted. She was extremely worried when Button Mash revealed what would happen to Sweetie Bell if he lost the "game" against CreepEntity513, who had sadistic intentions for the Cutie Mark Crusader. Once she heard of CreepEntity513's death, though, she was extremely relieved her younger sister was spared a horrible fate.
  • Broken Pedestal: Like in canon, she had a crush on Prince Blueblood, inspired by the romantic tales of Gleaming Shield and Radiant Primrose... only to learn that he's a completely boorish Prince Charmless who treated her terribly when they first met at the Grand Galloping Gala. However, her opinion of him would be restored after Blueblood personally visited her, explained his reasons for his behavior and apologized, and saved both Twilight and Spike from an assassination attempt by the tribalist Children of Platinum faction.
  • The Chosen One:
    • She and the rest of the Mane Six were chosen to wield the Elements of Harmony due to having specific qualities that resonated with each Element. In her case, her Element was Generosity, being always willing to help those in need unconditionally.
  • Deity of Human Origin: By the time of the 'War Against Order', Rarity has already ascended to demigodhood under tutelage of Luminiferous, the Devil Child.
  • Delinquent Hair: At one point, she started sporting a multicolored mohawk. This nets her a genuine compliment from Prince Dissonant Tune, who has a larger, dark-colored, and more teased mohawk, which gets her blushing and giggling like a schoolfilly.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: It turns out she ascended by absorbing a clone of Morning Star without being corrupted by it.
  • Everything's Sparkly with Jewelry: Her cutie mark is a group of diamonds and she frequently incorporates them into her clothes.
  • Existential Horror: It is noted that Rarity Belle experiences a persistent existential crisis regarding one of her Arch-Enemy opponents Queen Achlysia (and vice-versa), on account of them both not being entirely certain which one of them is the real Rarity and which one is a copy created when Nightmare Rarity was purified, or if they are actually both Rarity but were magically separated. This contributes to the enmity they have for each other as they are both driven to end their respective existential crises by assimilating or destroying the other, although their persistent stalemate means this isn't going to get resolved anytime soon, if at all.
  • Favors for the Sexy: Rarity can flirt/charm/seduce males into doing favors for her or her friends.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: In a Shout-Out to popular fanon, Rarity is noted for an unusual rivalry/conflict with all manners of giant crabs. She had flatly refused to comment about it.
  • Harmful to Minors: She was relatively young when she made her first kill, a Timberwolf. Her second-cousin, Jewel Cutter, who was also her mentor at the time, secretly brought her into the Everfree Forest and made her fight a Timberwolf by herself to 'teach' her how to fight. While she succeeded in killing the Timberwolf, she was traumatized her to the point where she became extremely reluctant to fight until later in her adulthood. It also got Jewel Cutter effectively disowned and kicked out by the family.
  • Irony: She is easily to most interested in love and marriage of the Mane Six, yet she is the last one to get married.
  • Karmic Jackpot:
    • Just like in canon, she came across Steven Magnet, a Sea Serpent who was distressed over his mustache being torn half off by Nightmare Moon. Feeling sorry for him, she sacrificed her own tail to replace Steven's torn half of his mustache, expecting nothing in return. Steven rewarded her by helping the Mane Six cross a huge river on the way to the Castle of the Two Sisters.
    • Her heroic feats as a member of the Mane Six have greatly improved her business, with tales of her feats increasing the number of her customers.
  • Let Us Never Speak of This Again: To this day, she flatly refuse to comment on her unusual conflict with no small numbers of giant crabs or why they are so afraid of or out to get her.
    Rarity: No comment, darling.
    Luminiferous: But, Rarity - !
    Rarity: NO. COMMENT.
  • Master Swordsman: While outclassed by other characters, she is still a master swordsmare in her own right thanks to tutelage from Jewel Cutter (with her remarking that's the only thing of value he had ever done). She would duel her mentor during the 'War Against Order' at the Battle of Manehattan, before Twilight Velvet interrupted and requested she fight the General of the 'Kingdom of Order''s army for a very personal affront.
  • Mind over Matter: Possesses unicorn telekinesis. It's stated in Changeling Queen Deinopis's profile that Rarity's fine grasp of her telekinetic magic is rather impressive, having worked in the Equestrian fashion industry; apparently she even battled Deinopis at one point, the latter possessing fine telekinesis herself due to being an insane puppeteer.
  • Mundane Utility: She just loves to use her power as an Alicorn of beauty to test out new styles.
Twilight/Amitica: "...Rarity, you...you cut your mane back into the mohawk?"
Rarity/Lucia: "Well, darling, I AM an Alicorn now, and it turns out part of being an Alicorn of Beauty is having greater control over my personal appearance. So now I can afford to experiment a bit more, and as this style was a hit, using it when fitting seemed appropriate."
  • Pity the Kidnapper: She was once kidnapped by a local band of Diamond Dogs (who were exiled from their Underhold by Mampfen for practicing slavery) who wanted to enslave her so they could exploit her gem-detecting spell. However, she proceeded to exploit their Super-Hearing by annoying them so much that the Diamond Dogs no longer wanted her around by the time rescue arrived. A subsequent interview revealed that the Diamond Dogs tried forcing her to be silent... only to learn the hard way that she has prior combat experience and beat the crap out of them; she stated later that most accounts omit that part to make the Diamond Dogs less threatening.
  • Rebuilt Pedestal: Like in canon, she saw Blueblood as the Prince Charming she wanted to marry, only to see firsthand that he falls severely short of her expectations. However, Blueblood redeems himself in her eyes by explaining his behavior and apologizing for it, and saving both Twilight and Spike from being assassinated by pro-unicorn Tribalists.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: After becoming an Alicorn Princess, Rarity/Lucia continues to be a hero like the rest of the Mane Six, joining the fray to fight evil and resolve crisis when and wherever she is needed, such as fighting on the frontlines during the 'War Against Order' and participating in the Final Battle of the 'Silk Dawn Crisis'.
  • Temporarily a Villain: Rarity Belle had ended up turning into a villainess on two occasions, although both instances didn't last long.
    • During the 'Attack of the Nightmare Forces', the Nightmare Forces — a faction of the Nyx dwelling on the Moon who were corrupted by Nightmare Moon's divine essence — kidnapped Rarity and preyed upon her self-esteem issues and insecurities to emotionally manipulate her into willingly embracing and becoming corrupted by Nightmare Moon's essence, becoming Nightmare Rarity, the Night Returned. Although purified by the end of the incident, this would have long-term consequences when her corrupted alter-ego somehow managed to persist inside Rarity and became an Enemy Within which Rarity had to keep contained, embodying her inner darkness and villainous impulses, who sometime after Rarity's ascension into Princess Lucia would become freed as a Literal Split Personality and ascending into a demigoddess herself, becoming her Evil Counterpart and a persistent and more personal Arch-Enemy in her growing rogues gallery.
    • The 'Dark Water Incident' saw Rarity, like the rest of the Mane Six, becoming corrupted by the magically-polluted 'Dark Waters' and had some part of their personality magnified along with their physical and magical power, warping them into villainous individuals. Fortunately, Rarity like the rest were cured at the end of the incident.
  • Training from Hell: Deconstructed. Her second-cousin, Jewel Cutter, once tried to teach her how to fight by bringing her to the Everfree Forest and making her fight a Timberwolf. By herself. She manages to kill said Timberwolf, but she was only a filly at the time and the incident traumatized her to the point where she avoided fighting until late into adulthood. As punishment for his actions, Jewel Cutter was effectively disowned and kicked out by his family.
  • Weak, but Skilled: It's stated in Deinopis's profile that Rarity has a very fine grasp of her telekinesis, likely due to her fashion-making skills, implying that while she's not an overtly powerful unicorn and while she lacks a large range of spells, her advanced telekinesis still makes her a capable fighter on her own. To note, she's a skilled swordsmare in her own right.

Princess Applejack V, the Honest Farmer/Princess Veritas, the Eyes of Truth

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Honesty, Truth, Family

Rank: Demi-Goddess

"Honesty is all 'bout havin' teh strength tah face reality, and use teh truth tah empower y'all rather than let it drag ya down."

Princess Veritas, born Applejack V (her entry here) is the Alicorn demigoddess of Honesty, Truth, and Family, and a renowned Equestrian heroine who eventually became the beloved wife of a Terran Prince.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: In the Codexverse, the reason why Applejack ran away from home to live with her relatives, the Oranges, is because she was deeply traumatized by her parents' deaths. In her mind, being at home reminded her too much of her parents and why they were gone. Seeing Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom caused her to realize that she was subjecting her family to more grief by running away, so she returned home. In canon, she moved in with the Oranges because she didn't want to spend the rest of her life on a boring apple farm, and went home after seeing the Sonic Rainboom.
  • Adaptational Badass: In canon, she's a simple apple farmer who managed to become a Bearer of Honesty and an Equestrian heroine. Here, she eventually became an Alicorn demigoddess after a combination of training under Amour-De-Soi, marrying an Alicorn demigod Prince, and exposure to Primordial Quintessence from various other deities and demi-deities, all which reached its peak when she confronted the Poenan goddess Lamperielpida. And due to her being a descendant of Saint Sweetheart, she is a mutant with inherited holy magic — this, coupled with her combat skills, makes her suitable to being a paladin.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: A Codexverse drabble reveals that she's demisexual in the Codexverse, with her admitting to Fluttercruel/Odyne that she never felt romantically or sexually attracted to anyone until she met Prince Clear Voice, who would become her husband. In canon, Applejack never showed these traits, and was implied in the Season 9 finale "The Last Problem" to have gotten together with Rainbow Dash in the future as they were bickering Like an Old Married Couple. Her Equestria Girls counterpart is also written as Ambiguously Bi.
  • Adaptational Wealth: In canon, she's a simple apple farmer, though her family's cider is well-known in Ponyville and they are in a business partnership with Filthy Rich. Here, she's a Terran Princess by virtue of marrying Prince Clear Voice, Golden Scepter's sixth-born son; while she's extremely wealthy because of it, she refuses to use her divine abilities for her own benefit, only empowering both herself and her family so they can all perform their duties better.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Her birth name is a downplayed example, being changed to "Applejack V" to separate her from preceding, similarly-named Applejacks from previous generations/Ages. After Ascending to demi-godhood, she chooses an Alicorn name for herself, Veritas, to separate herself from her infant daughter, whom she named Baby Applejack, to make things less confusing for people.
  • Adaptation Species Change: While she's still an Earth Pony like in canon, she's specifically an Earth Pony mutant with the "Happy Tail" mutation, which lets her move her own hair like an extra limb. After Ascending to demi-godhood, she becomes an Alicorn, with chimeric traits of all Pony tribes that she can manifest at will.
  • Amazonian Beauty: She's very muscular due to a life of working at Sweet Apple Acres and fighting various threats to Equestria, but despite this, she remains fairly attractive. This became more apparent following her Ascension to demi-godhood.
  • Animalistic Abomination: Being a demigoddess of Honesty and Truth, Applejack/Veritas doesn't see any reason to not show everyone the full scope of her appearance. This means, unlike her husband and Terran in-laws, she's far more willing to show off her true Alicorn form, like the Musical Pony's chest gem and the Sea Pony's aquatic gills/tail, making her relatively more eldritch in comparison. She also has one large eye concealed on the underside of her wings, the left eye being "Cruel Truth" and the right eye being "Kind Truth", something that no other Alicorn has.* Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Terran/Equestrian Alicorn demigoddess who embodies Honesty, Truth, and Family.
  • Badass Teacher: She's a famed Equestrian heroine, the (now former) Bearer of Honesty, and a royal Alicorn demigoddess who's married to a Terran Prince. One of the things she did after the School of Friendship's public introduction was become a teacher there.
  • Bad Liar: On top of not willing to tell one as a matter of principle, she is also an abysmal liar who could not deceive others even if her life depends on it. Ironically, she was more dishonest in her teenage years, but ended up learning a lifelong lesson in honesty when her lies nearly ruined her family's business relationship with Filthy Rich (and caused a series of catastrophic, but retroactively comedic misadventures as her lies inevitably snowballed).
  • Big Eater: Her entry notes that she had an "appetite of a grown stallion" even as a baby, and her appetite only increased as she grew older and, later, Ascended to demi-godhood. Notably, she impressed her Giant relatives in the larger Apple Clan by eating three Giant-sized pies made by one such relative, Big Apple, during an Apple Family reunion. She apparently passed on this trait to her daughter, Princess Baby Applejack, much to the astonishment of her husband, Prince Clear Voice, when it emerged during a banquet.
Big Apple: If she was one 'o us, SHE'LL EAT THE WHOLE PLANET.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Gender-inverted; after learning that Grey Hoof and his followers tried to kill Apple Bloom, she vowed to "applebuck" him seven ways across Equus if he came after her younger sister again. She repeatedly shook Mitta's hoof out of gratitude after learning the latter saved Apple Bloom.
Applejack V: If that shamblin' pile o' horseapples tries goin' after mah sister again, Ah'm gonna applebuck 'im seven ways 'cross the darn planet!
  • Birds of a Feather: What led to her and Clear Voice befriending and, later, falling in love with each other. They both shared many traits such as Brutal Honesty, a good work ethic, and dedication/loyalty to their families, as well as a stubborn pride that made them butt heads at times.
  • The Chosen One: She was chosen by the Element of Honesty for consistently helping the (initially) neurotic Twilight Sparkle keep calm with her honesty and trustworthiness. This included being chosen by the Tree of Harmony itself to help spread friendship and harmony within and beyond Equestria. Sometime after the "League of Domination Crisis", she would pass on her Element to her successor, Yona the Yak.
  • The City vs. the Country: As in canon, she decided to move in with her wealthy relatives, Aunt and Uncle Orange, in Manehattan, which is far from the rural Ponyville. However, her reasoning for the move here is that she was deeply traumatized by her parents' deaths and wanted to get away from it all. While she did love her relatives, after a time she grew homesick. Witnessing Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom caused her to realize that she was foolish to run away when her immediate family were dealing with both her parents' deaths and her absence. She went back home to her family farm, which earned her her Cutie Mark.
  • Competition Freak: Like her canon counterpart, she is extremely competitive, which led to her developing a famously intense yet friendly rivalry with her friend and fellow Bearer, Rainbow Dash/Fidelitas. It's also one of her flaws, as her competitive streak can make her get carried away at times.
  • Cool Uncle: Gender-inverted. After marrying Prince Clear Voice and becoming part of the Terran royal family, she became a loving aunt towards Mercy and other young children who were adopted/sired by Clear Voice's older/younger brothers.
  • Determinator: Her entry notes she's known for being extremely stubborn. This can be detrimental at times, such as turning her work ethic into Workaholic tendencies, or refusing to believe that her way of doing things might not actually be the best way.
  • Eternal Love: What her marriage to Clear Voice later evolved to. At first, due to her being mortal at the time, Clear Voice feared he'll eventually outlive her, making their relationship a Mayfly–December Romance. However, she would help Clear Voice overcome his fears, and later on she would Ascend to demi-godhood thanks to training under Amour-De-Soi, being exposed to a lot of Primordial Quintessence from other (demi-)divine beings, and fighting off the Poenan Pantheon.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: After Ascending to demi-godhood and becoming an Alicorn, she gained two eyes on the undersides of her wings, one on each wing. Both eyes are part of her domain of Truth — the right eye, "Kind Truth" is described as being kind and loving, and has the ability to make people see comforting, encouraging truths about themselves when they gaze into it. The left eye, "Cruel Truth", is described as being draconic and fierce, and has the ability to make people see harsh, negative truths about themselves when they gaze into it. Both eyes become nearly invisible when closed, and when both are open, gazing upon them allows people to bear witness to the "Balanced Truth".
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has a light yellow mane and tail, and she's a renowned Equestrian heroine who's part of the 'Mane Six'. This hasn't changed for her at all after Ascending to demi-godhood.
  • Happily Married: She eventually marries Prince Clear Voice of the Terran Empire, even having several children (including Princess Baby Applejack) together. This may be surprising to some, due to Clear Voice being far older than Applejack and coming from a royal background, unlike her... until one considers the fact that they are both very much alike, being dutiful, reliable, honest and stubborn to a fault as well as sharing many similar beliefs. Their relationship evolved to Eternal Love once she Ascends to demi-godhood, allowing her to be with her husband and quelling his fears of outliving her.
  • Heroic Lineage: She's descended from the original Applejack and her line, Perfect Kingdom/Robot Rider of the Four Riders, and Second Age heroes Saint Sweetheart and her husband, Teddy. The original Applejack in particular is speculated In-Universe to have been the same heroine who allied herself with and aided Queen Majesty, Emperor Golden Scepter's adoptive daughter and biological descendant.
  • Holy Hand Grenade: She possesses a natural affinity for holy magic due to being a Fourth Age descendant of Saint Sweetheart, who became a mutant with holy magic inherent in her bloodline after prolonged exposure to her mentor Golden Scepter's divine PQ. However, she didn't use it for much of her life until she started dating Clear Voice, after which she became The Paladin upon combining her holy magic with her physical abilities.
  • Humble Hero: Despite Ascending as an Alicorn demigoddess and the power/status upgrades that came with it, she merely saw the boons as merely new and better ways to uphold her existing duties to the farm, and her new duties in both the Equestrian Principalities and the Terran Empire. She even refuses to use the new abilities and strength from her newfound demi-divinity to make Apple-harvesting easier for herself (although she did use her powers to buff her family and massively heighten their stamina).
  • Knows the Ropes: Like her canon counterpart, she's extremely skilled in using her lasso, and was a multi-time rodeo champion even before she Ascended. It helps that she's a Happy Tail Pony, which lets her hold and manipulte ropes with her own hair. Since becoming a demigoddess, she has acquired a divinely-made lasso made by her husband, Prince Clear Voice.
  • Mama Bear: She loves her immediate family, extended relatives, and in-laws, and is extremely proud of them all. This means that she is enraged with those who try harming any one of the above, as an assassin who tried killing her husband, Prince Clear Voice, learned the hard way.
  • Mayfly–December Romance: She was still a mortal mare at the time when she hooked up with and eventually married the immortal Clear Voice, causing the Terran Prince to fear the possibility of losing her like he lost his mortal mother, Blessed Skies. She would help Clear Voice get over his fears, though, and her Ascension to demi-godhood as Princess Veritas proved his fears to be unfounded.
  • Mistaken for Gay: Her intense yet close friendship/rivalry with Rainbow Dash/Princess Fidelitas is interpreted by some In-Universe adaptations as a lesbian relationship. In real life, their relationship remained strictly platonic, though she admits she can understand why some people might see it that way.
  • Modest Royalty: After Ascending to demi-godhood and becoming an Alicorn, she starts wearing royal barding made of bronze with a very minimalist design. She also refuses to wear a crown, only opting to wear a regal-looking hat that Rarity made for her whenever she needs to dress formally. Her choice of regalia reflects her honest, reliable, and dutiful character.
  • Mutants: She's described here as an Earth Pony mare with a "Happy Tail" mutation, which is actually very common in equine species. This is how she can wield her lassos, both mundane and divine versions.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After losing her parents, Bright Mac and Buttercup (nee Pear Butter), to a tragic incident, she would run away from Sweet Apple Acres and move to Manehattan to live with her wealthy relatives, the Orange family. But after witnessing Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom and becoming incredibly homesick, she realized she was foolish to subject her immediate family to more loss by abandoning them to their grief, and went back home.
  • Official Couple: She falls in love with Prince Clear Voice and eventually marries him, as their respective personalities match each other's very well.
  • One-Steve Limit: Enforced. Part of the reason why she decided to name herself 'Veritas' is because she's naming her newborn daughter 'Applejack', which is a standing tradition in her family. She claims that this way, it'll be less confusing for people when referring to either of them.
  • Parental Abandonment: She would lose her parents, Bright Mac and Buttercup (formerly Pear Butter following a severe falling-out with the Pear family), to a tragic incident shortly after the birth of her little sister, Apple Bloom. While the exact circumstances behind said incident are unknown, the loss traumatized her and she moved to Manehattan to live with her wealthy relatives, the Oranges, to escape her pain. It's not until witnessing Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom that she returns home, having become incredibly homesick and realizing she was foolish in subjecting her immediate family to more grief by leaving them behind.
  • Prehensile Tail: Her "Happy Tail" mutation comes in this form — she has a magic field that is channeled through her tail hair, allowing her to use said tail like an extra limb. It also allows her to use her normal (and later divine) lassos.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: She has delivered at least two in her entry.
    • During the "League of Domination" crisis, she made a scathing deconstruction of Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and Tirek's collective motives, pointing out how their desire for revenge originated from personal mistakes and flaws that they blamed others for, and how they ensured their own downfalls by craving power and domination over others instead of being satisfied with what they already had in front of them.
Princess Applejack/Veritas: Yah blame us for all your woes and want revenge?! Well guess what: if yah want tah blame somepony for everything, look in a mirror! Tirek, yah were the crown prince of a country and YOU decided yah loved power more than yer kin! YOU threw yer brother away like trash! Chrysalis, yer ma has ALWAYS loved ya and wanted ya tah be part of the family, but YOU couldn't stand anybody but you to get the attention and threw it all away! You'd still be Queen if yah'd just listened tah Thorax! And Cozy? The School of Friendship and all of us accepted yah with open hooves and wanted tah be yer friends, but yah decided tah throw it all away to take over! We wanted tah have yah, but yah wanted power more! You lot have NOBODY tah blame for the situation yer in but yourselves! Every bad thing tah ever happen tah any of yah was yer own faults and yah won't accept it! And that's the honest truth!...So either give up and maybe try tah fix it, or take yer lumps like other creatures!
    • She would also deliver one to the Angiris/Poenan goddess Lamperielpida during their confrontation, pointing out that for all her supposed benevolence and compassion, she's really enabling her followers' fanaticism and other worst traits by promoting faith among them in the form of self-deception and excuses to justify their hypocritical, insidious, and extreme actions. It actually triggers her Ascension to demi-godhood.
Princess Applejack/Veritas: This ain't faith! Yah ain't helping these ponies and gods build faith in a greater cause! Yah ain't makin' 'em have faith in justice! Yer ENABLING them! You're helping them lie tah themselves that everything they're doin' is right! Yer coverin' up all the rotten things they do and encouraging 'em not tah think about it! Yah want real faith, go talk tah Blue Suede Heartstrings about the King of Heaven! THAT is true faith! If yah want ponies tah have faith, Ah'm all for it! But the TRUTH is this: when faith is used as an excuse tah do rotten things, it ain't faith anymore! It's SELF-DECEPTION AND EXCUSES!
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's Golden Scepter's daughter-in-law via her marriage of his sixth-born son, Prince Clear Voice, as well as a sister-in-law of the rest of the Terran Princes. They had no such relations in their respective canons.
  • The Reliable One: On top of honesty, Applejack is characterized by her dependability, reliability and hard-working attitude in terms of personality, wishing to help her family and friends any way she could to the best of her abilities. Sharing this trait with the similarly reliable and determined Prince Clear Voice is what led to them falling in love.
  • Shattering the Illusion: Given her domains of Honesty and Truth, as well as her former position as Bearer of the Element of Honesty, she has the power of breaking through lies, illusions and other forms of obfuscation. This makes her especially dangerous to enemies who uses or are extensively empowered by lies and dishonesty, such as the Summer Court Changelings.
  • Signature Headgear: As in canon, she always wears a brown Stetson hat, which she inherited from her late father, Bright Mac. It's noted she keeps the real hat at home while she wears copies of it in case her hat might get damaged or destroyed.
  • The Smurfette Principle: While it's by marriage, she's Golden Scepter's only living female daughter who is also an Alicorn demigod, as Queen Majesty is deceased and currently living in the Enchanted Throne as a spiritual adviser for the Queens of Friendship, having never Ascended to godhood for fear of becoming a tyrant.
  • Super-Empowering: Her domain of Family allows her to passively buff those she considers her family, making them more powerful.
  • Telepathy: Her domain of Family allows her to telepathically communicate with those she considers her family. She can also bring positive family memories to the forefront of those around her, helping cool tempers between family members and aiding in reconciliation.
  • Two Girls to a Team: While she's Golden Scepter's only daughter by marriage, she became one of two Alicorn (demi-)goddesses in the Terran Royal Family overall after Golden Scepter adopted Princess Tiffany/Regina as his granddaughter.
  • Youthful Freckles: She has white freckles, and she would eventually become an Alicorn demigoddess after exposing herself to Primordial Quintessence from various deities and demi-deities, training under Amour-De-Soi's tutelage, and getting married to Prince Clear Voice, all which culminated in a confrontation with the Poenan goddess Lamperielpida.

Pinkamena Diane Cheese-Pie/Pinkie Pie, the Laughing Baker/Princess Thalia

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant?

Portfolio: Joy, Laughter, Chaos

Rank: Demigod

"Random dance party for no reason!"

Princess Thalia, born Pinkie Pie (her entry here), is the Draconequus demigoddess of Joy, Laughter, and Chaos, the Element of Laughter and a member of the Mane Six... as well as one of the strangest creatures to exist on Equus.
  • Adaptational Karma: In both the episode "Secrets and Pies" and the sequel comic issue "Pie in the Sky", Pinkie essentially stalked Rainbow Dash, force-fed her pies, completely ignored Rainbow's protests, and made her afraid of being attacked, all because Rainbow said she didn't like pies. In one Codex drabble, Rainbow Dash, under the influence of a Browbeater, chews her out for her behavior and calls her a "crazy, annoying flankhole", reducing her to tears. While Rainbow does apologize later on, Pinkie acknowledges that Rainbow had every right to be angry with her. According to one of the Codex writers, she didn't like how Rainbow quickly forgave her for the pie incident and felt that Pinkie needed to be called out for her Innocently Insensitive moments, something she rarely got in the show.
  • Adaptation Name Change: In canon, her real name is Pinkamena Diane Pie, while she generally goes by Pinkie Pie. Here, her surname is changed to "Cheese-Pie" following her marriage to Cheese Sandwich, and after Ascending(?) to demi-godhood, she gained a new divine name, Princess Thalia.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Being a Cloudcuckoolander who's also Fun Personified, she often doesn't realize the full ramifications of her heroic deeds until after she learns of them. The only thing that truly matters to her is bringing smiles and joy to people's faces.
  • Always Identical Twins: As in canon, she and her younger sister, Marble Pie, are twins, though it's subverted in that they're fraternal. As shown in canon, Pinkie is a... pink-furred Earth pony mare with a dark pink mane and tail and a balloon Cutie Mark, while Marble Pie is a gray-colored Earth pony with a rock Cutie Mark. Upon becoming a Draconequus demigoddess, Pinkie gained chimeric animal traits like a Golden Retriever's right front paw, a rabbit's left hind leg, an alligator's tail, a bluebird's left wing and a dragonfly's right wing, making her even more different than Marble.
  • Ambadassador: Her bringing the Yaks out of isolation in the canon episode "Party Pooped" would lead to her becoming their official ambassador. She's also a powerful Draconequus demigoddess, a member of the Mane Six, and a renowned Equestrian heroine.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Draconequus demigoddess(?) who embodies Joy, Laughter, and Chaos.
  • The Chosen One:
    • She and the rest of the Mane Six were chosen to wield the Elements of Harmony due to having specific qualities that resonated with each Element. In her case, her Element was Laughter, as she always enjoyed hosting parties and bringing joy and laughter to everyone.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Played with. She was a mortal who became a demigoddess, but unlike many deities and even her own friends, she didn't properly Ascend but already had a very diluted amount of divine blood from her ancestor Pakak that gradually grew more prominent as she unknowingly absorbed PQ from various sources until she became a proper Demi-Draconequus. It's debated rather or not she qualifies as an ascendant demigoddess or not because of this.
  • Drunk with Power: Narrowly averted. As in canon, she absorbed Discord's magic from Grogar's Bewitching Bell to trap Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow with a giant cupcake following their defeat... but while she is noted to be capable of controlling her power, she still quickly got swept away in the power rush and had to be depowered quickly before she ended up becoming completely drunk on Discord's magic. To this day, no one dared to even speculate the things she could actually do if she had said magic long enough.
Pinkie Pie: I COULD TRANSFORM THE COSMOS SO EVERYTHING IS MADE OF ICING!!!
  • Energy Absorption: She would do this to various individuals for years, albeit unknowingly.
    • She once purified a newborn Disorder Lord simply by being more chaotic than them, which led to her draining Discord's Primordial Quintessence from them unknowingly. Because she showed no signs of change of corruption, no one noticed until years later. What helped is her own diluted PQ from being one of Pakak's descendants, which allowed her to assimilate the absorbed PQ effectively.
    • She would also do this unknowingly to Discord, whether by simply interacting with him or, as what happened in the MLP issue "Apinkalypse Now", usurping his power and station as a god of Chaos. While Discord eventually got them back, the incident increased her innate PQ and the potency of her natural chaotic abilities. She would absorb more of Discord's PQ from Grogar's Bewitching Bell during the 'League of Domination Crisis', turning her into a 'proto-demigoddess' and allowing her to trap Tirek, Cozy Glow, and Chrysalis in a giant cupcake, but also briefly making her Drunk with Power.
    • She would later absorb even more PQ from Kaos, the Chaos Primeval, after finding her way into his realm just to meet her ancient ancestor, amusing him greatly in the process. This would culminate in her becoming a full-on demigoddess during her wedding to Cheese Sandwich as Kaos, who presided over the wedding at her request, stabilized her PQ core with his constant presence. It also turned her into a Draconequus.
  • Face Your Fears: As in canon, she helped the other Mane Six resist some fear-based illusions created by Nightmare Moon while traveling through the Everfree Forest. This leads to her becoming a chosen Bearer for the Element of Laughter.
  • Force Feeding: Deconstructed. She constantly stalked and tried making Rainbow eat pies after learning she doesn't like them, hoping her friend would change her mind. This later comes back to bite her when Rainbow, who secretly resented her for it despite seemingly forgiving her, unleashes a brutal What the Hell, Hero? speech upon her while under the influence of a Browbeater. She is driven to tears, but later acknowledges that Rainbow had every right to be angry with her and apologized for invalidating her feelings regarding pies. This led to them reconciling.
  • God in Human Form: After Ascending(?) to demi-godhood, she will often assume her mortal Earth Pony form out of familiarity.
  • Honorary Uncle: While she's actually a cousin of the twins, Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake, she has established herself as their auntie-figure and is proud of it.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: Averted. Although she and Marble Pie are twins, they're fraternal, and as canon showed, they both look completely different from each other.
  • Innocently Insensitive: As shown in canon, she's extremely hyperactive and can unintentionally annoy others at times. Her most serious mistakes are the result of her obliviousness. One case served as a deconstruction: At one point, Pinkie constantly stalked Rainbow Dash and tried to make her eat pies because she heard her friend hated them, and genuinely thought she could help Rainbow change her mind. Rainbow seemingly forgave her when Pinkie realized her mistake, but actually resented Pinkie for invalidating her food preferences and angrily chews out Pinkie for her insensitivity while under the influence of a Browbeater. Pinkie is driven to tears by this, but later acknowledges Rainbow had every right to be angry with her and apologizes for her behavior.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: As shown in canon, she's a party-loving Genki Girl and Cloudcuckoolander with chaotic abilities, while her parents are stoic and authoritative Ponies who love all four of their daughters, just in a different way.
  • Meaningful Rename: After becoming a full-on Draconequus demigoddess, she was renamed Princess Thalia in accordance to ancient Alicorn tradition. Thalia is the eighth-born daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and was a Muse who inspired comedies and idyllic poetry. Thalia also translates to "the joyous" in ancient Greek.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: After becoming a Draconequus demigoddess, she gains chimeric animal traits like a Golden Retriever's right front paw, a rabbit's left hind leg, an alligator's tail, a bluebird's left wing, and a dragonfly's right wing.
  • Modest Royalty: Downplayed. Her 'palace' is the bakery shop Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville, which she took over following the Cakes' retirement, and she usually wears baker's attire. However, she does wear bright blue and yellow barding when attending formal events.
  • Official Couple: Like in canon, she falls in love and marries Cheese Sandwich, though her marriage is actually depicted in the Codexverse as the moment she turns into a full-on Draconequus demigoddess rather than simply being offscreen. They also have a son, Little Cheese.
  • Photographic Memory: She has a photographic memory that allows her to remember every single person in Ponyville and minute details about them, even ones she's only seen briefly.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: She and Marble are fraternal twin sisters, yet they're completely different in personality — Marble is a Shrinking Violet, while Pinkie is essentially Fun Personified.
  • Related in the Adaptation:
    • Pinkie and her family are cousins of the Cakes in the Codexverse; her parents sent her to live with them since they fit her personality and love for parties, which explains her constant presence in Sugarcube Corner and helping out the Cakes in canon. This means that she's also a cousin of the Cakes' twin children, Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake, though she became their auntie-figure.
    • Going farther back, Pinkie is related to two G1 Ponies: Surprise (making her a relative of G4 Surprise, a Wonderbolt member), and Shady, the latter who married Pakak and became a progenitor of the Pies through one of her now-divine daughters. Pinkie is also a descendant of her G3 namesake, a heroine named Pinkie Pie the First who was an old friend of Princess Razzaroo/Jiniri.
  • Seers: She has her family's 'Pie Sense', which she calls 'Pinkie Sense'. Her ability causes her body to react in ways that give her a form of precognition.
  • Semi-Divine: Her Toon Physics and Hammerspace powers are revealed to be due to being a "Party Pony", a mutated species of Pony who are distant descendants of Pakak and his divine twin daughters, Arlequin and Katharsis. Downplayed, however, as the divine blood is very diluted by this point. She then proceeded to absorb chaotic PQ from various places, most often Discord, until she gradually became a 1/4 and then proper demigoddess.
  • Spider-Sense: Her "Pinkie Sense" works like this, as her body reacts in certain ways to incoming danger.
  • Super-Scream: As a demigoddess of Laughter, she can produce a magical sonic "laugh", both as an attack and as a way to eliminate spells fueled by negative emotions like fear, sorrow, and anger.
  • The Un-Favourite: Averted. Her parents, though stern, quiet, and authoritative like in canon, still loved and accepted her as family for all that she was, and actually saw how miserable she was growing up on their dull rock farm, doing nothing but handling rocks. After she fully awakened as a Party Pony thanks to the Sonic Rainboom, her parents decided to send her to Ponyville to live with their cousins, the Cakes, knowing they suited her joyful and energetic personality better.
  • Villain Killer: She helped Maud destroy Bitter Thicket, by launching her sister at the villain, destroying her host body and sending her to Hell.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: At one point, she is chewed out by a furious Rainbow Dash (who was under the influence of a Browbeater at the time) for constantly pressuring her to like pies just because Rainbow hates them. She is reduced to tears by this, but while Rainbow later apologizes for what happened, she acknowledges Rainbow has every right to be angry at her for what she did. They make up afterwards.
Rainbow Dash: You think I just forgave you for that pie thing and forgot about it?! Well I HAVEN'T!
Pinkie Pie: I-I'm sorry, Dashie! I thought if you tried eating pies, you'd start liking them! I... I didn't know...!
Rainbow Dash: Well if YOU were the one being stalked all over Ponyville, force-fed MULTIPLE PIES, and afraid of being attacked by your own loony friend for saying you hate pies, YOU would've REAMED me over the coals! Guess what, Pinkie?! You're just a crazy, ANNOYING, FLANKHOLE!!!
