openChanging a work's name Anime
Just wanted to check with you if the process of changing the work's title to it's English official translation was correct: 1/ Create the new page with the new name 2/ Copy the entire content of the former page 3/ Cutlist the old page with the untranslated name and ask to create a redirect to the new page (or create the redirect myself but I never did that...)
Am I correct? Thanks!
open World Martial Arts Tournament Referee Anime
As I was rewatching through the entire story line of Dragon Ball/Z/etc, it took me all the way until the Tournament that took place right as the Buu saga is kicking off to realize how terrible the returning referee is. Specifically during Videl’s fight with Spopovich. How many times was Videl “down for the count” and yet he never once began counting. This is the case in every single tournament that he’s ref’d In as well. If and when he rarely does count it is always after spewing some bullshit for precious seconds about the beating someone just took. In Videl’s case, she literally looks like she’s being beaten to within an inch of her life and Gohan is the only person that (later than he should have) actually reaches a point where he’s going to stop the match. What the hell...
open Null edit spam Anime
Ghost_Girl made multiple null edits within a very short time span on Characters.YuGiOhVRAINS; I'm unsure what to make of this.
Edited by Tenma-YuukiopenNightmareFuel/YuGiOh Anime
Tropers/fabcats1 occasionally pops onto NightmareFuel.Yu Gi Oh to add very long examples about how much Marik's life sucks, which, while scary, are more sad and nattery at times with a dash of 'Marik did nothing wrong'. I've condensed the more legit examples a few times and suggested they move the other examples to TearJerker.Yu Gi Oh, but they recently re-added long paragraphs to NightmareFuel.Yu Gi Oh again.

Should Sailor Earth examples be put on a work's trope example list or in the YMMV section?
openCharacter sheet help Anime
I want to make a character sheet for the Monster Rancher game humans. Characters.Monster Rancher covers the anime characters/monsters, though, while Characters.Monster Rancher Species covers the individual monster breeds.
I was thinking of making Characters.Monster Rancher Games or Humans to cover the game characters, but now I'm thinking it might be better to move the main MR character page to Characters.Monster Rancher Anime and make Characters.Monster Rancher a page for game characters. Any ideas?
Edited by lalalei2001openAmerican names Anime
The Doraemon page, its subpages, and many of the crosswicks use the Japanese names of the characters, but their English names are different. Should we change all uses of the names to their English versions (Nobita to Noby, Gian to Big G, Suneo to Sneech, Shizuka to Sue) or would that take way too much work?
Edit: Can we try to stay on-topic to the Doraemon page? This is not a discussion about Case Closed or Glitter Force, it's about Doraemon.
Edited by Mickoonsley19openAvoiding an edit war in YMMV/Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Anime
In YMMV.Miss Kobayashis Dragon Maid, Ninja123456 edited the Ho Yay entry, replacing the trope name with Les Yay and violating Example Indentation by adding Ho Yay in front of the sole male example while leaving it in the middle of the list. Due to the bad formatting and because Ho Yay is gender neutral, I deemed the edit pointless and reverted it, stating as such in the edit reason, and sent an example indentation notifier to Ninja123456. They then redid their edit, only without the bad example indentation by splitting off the male example and leaving it under Ho Yay, claiming Ho Yay is for male homosexual subtext in both the edit reason and in a PM mocking the notifier format (with the same title and "Thanks for helping us keep the wiki cool" sentence at the end).
So now I'm asking for some help because I obviously disagree, but don't want to war over it.
Edit: Also, another troper previously changed Ho Yay to Les Yay before on the page, which I reverted, but in that case they told me they didn't notice the male example in the list, so I didn't think I would be edit warring by reverting the edit Ninja123456 made, who obviously did see the male example.
Edited by homogenizedopenRevolutionary Girl Utena Anime
So for the YMMV.Revolutionary Girl Utena page we on the Magnificent Bastard cleanup thread deemed none of the examples—with particular emphasis on Akio—to be qualifiers. Troper idominatio2 re-added the entry after it was removed and was messaged being asked to come to the thread to make the case but never did so. To prevent an edit war, am I okay to remove and leave a note asking it not to be re-added unless it's approved by the thread?

openIs this valid confirmation of a ship? Anime
On this page, Yuunoa And Mikrul Shipper added this example:
"Seraph of the End has Yuunoa (Yuichiro Hyakuya x Shinoa Hiragi) and MikaYuu Mikayu (Mikaela Hyakuya x Yuichiro Hyakuya) shippers, and we'll leave it at that. Of those two ships, Yuunoa is canon."
The twitter link apparently shows a fan begging the creator to make one of the ships in his show canon with the creator responding "Okok", but I'm quite skeptical on how it's used to "confirm" the ship. It doesn't really seem like the creator actually confirms the ship, but seems more like an acknowledgement of that fan's question. I p'med the troper to discuss it, but they haven't responded.
Edited by SeraphineopenRecap pages Anime
I have a quick question: should we use trivia and YMMV pages for Recaps such as One Piece?
openGundam Seed Destiny Anime
I removed Le Cruset's Greater-Scope Villain entry as the description of that trope includes that while there is overlap with Predecessor Villain, they have to still exist in some form and while others are carrying out an ideal Le Creuset preached, he's dead and gone and active in no form. I raised this to Omega Nemesis 13, who has since re-added the trope and told them I would be making this topic. So we can get a conclusive answer as to what to do here, how do we feel about his fit with GSV?
openBeyblade manga Anime
Why are Beyblade, Metal Fight Beyblade, Beyblade Zero-G, and Beyblade Burst in the anime namespace when they all had manga that came first? Shouldn't they be in the manga namespace unless it's a situation like Neon Genesis Evangelion where the manga is a promotional tie-in for the anime, which I don't see evidence of in Beyblade's case? Also, Metal Fight and Zero-G use their original Japanese names instead of their localized names Metal Fusion and Shogun Steel respectively, and I've seen other discussions saying official English names should be used.
Edited by rjd1922openWord of Gay in Lyrical Nanoha Anime
Regarding the supposed Word of Gay that confirms Nanoha and Fate are an Official Couple. Can this interview really be considered Word of Gay? The creator of the franchise only answered about Fate's relationship with Vivio, he didn't say anything about the sexuality of the characters. This leaves the comments of the voice actress, which would be Word of Saint Paul rather than Word of God. And I have to add, they didn't say Nanoha/Fate was canon as much as they said they wanted it to be canon. (and with the release of ViViD and Force, it seems they were wrong about how their relationship would develop anyway). The schedule Nana Mizuki made of Nanoha and Fate's daily routine has the exact same problems.
openSlave Harem in the Labyrinth of the Other World Anime
I was preparing to create an article based on the light novel, Isekai Meikyuu De Dorei Harem wo, aka Slave Harem in the Labyrinth of the Other World, and noticed that an existing page with the same name had been removed, and was wondering if it was safe to recreate before beginning to work on it.
Thanks.
openNever Trust The Episode's Opening Sequence Anime
It's like Never Trust a Trailer, but the thing is, the anime's opening in every episode contains a scene which does not actually happen in the entire series.
An animated tv show that was Netflix a few years ago. It was a fantasy show that involved magic cubes. the characters journeyed around fighting off evil demon-like things. One of the characters was partly possessed by one of the demon things. He was a teenager that came from an orphanage that was run by a rock creature man. The other characters were a brother and sister that were both gingers, the possessed boy, and then another girl and boy. It was also placed in another world. Thanks.
