MOD NOTE: TROPES BLANKET-BANNED FROM HAVING VIDEO EXAMPLES:
- Attempted Rape
- Bound and Gagged
- Epileptic Flashing Lights
- Jump Scare
- Nocturnal Emission
- Pooping Where You Shouldn't
- Potty Failure
- Sensory Abuse
- Screamer Prank
It's been discussed a lot at the Video Uploading thread that a lot of poor videos are slipping through the cracks, and that a clean-up effort is necessary if we are to combat the problem.
Common issues are:
- Videos spoiling major events from a work
- Videos not actually fitting the trope they're attached to
- Videos in which the important part doesn't happen until halfway through, with the length being ultimately pointless
- Videos that use the entire work, breaking copyright; this can be done either with one video showcasing an entire short video, or multiple videos that add up to using the entire work in piecemeal.
- Videos lacking the proper media source, or any media source at all.
- General quality problems, like audio issues or artifacting.
So, we've got our work cut out for us; but this is at least a place to discuss problems and come to solutions.

Reposting here because I remembered this thread exists:
I have reason to believe that most if not all of the LOCAL58 videos use entire videos from the channel, even when only a small part would accurately show the trope/actually involves it.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢The new .hack entry for Non-Standard Game Over doesn't have a media source listed.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has a video example for Foe Yay Shipping, but Foe Yay Shipping is an Audience Reaction.
If anything, it's an example of Foe Romance Subtext. Can it be changed to that?
Evil Versus Evil's Epic Rap Battle Of History videos is literally the full song, and thus not fair use.
EDIT: Make that all 5 of them. They all should be removed (Jack the Ripper Vs Hannibal, Joker Vs Pennywise, Vlad Vs Dracula, Blackbeard Vs Al Capone, Darth Vader Vs Hitler)

Refusal of the Call is another Pro ZD video uploaded in full.
It's only six seconds long, but okay
I have things to do and daddy issues to repress!Reuploading a work in its entirety is not fair use. The work in question being very short does not negate that.
This is the same reason we don't use single-panel comics as page images.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. What said. It doesn't matter. You can't upload an entire video.
If it were possible, I'd put a blanket ban on ProZD videos. The ones that aren't so short that there'd be nothing to trim are still short enough that even trimming them leaves too large a portion of the video for policy.
SoundCloudIts been brought up that the wiki has no way to enforce a ban, so the best we can do is report them as they are added.
Why not? We're banning videos for certain tropes; banning ProZD is as simple as getting the kids on board and having them reject those videos.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIt's already been done. To Quote Nombretomado
I'm asking you to keep this in mind and give us a break, alright? We are working with the bare minimum and forced to compensate with manual management that takes up a lot more time and attention to detail we can't always spare. Because we're human and make mistakes that often don't have systems in place to catch unthinking errors.
I'll reject it again later and note this instance to the other mods.
As it's been shown in this thread, videos already denied get submitted and approved because the mods don't have tools to track this stuff.
In this case you're expecting all the mods to instantly become familiar enough with Pro ZD to recognize all his videos on sight. No guarantee that's gonna happen.

I assumed that they'd all come with the source or something, not that the mods would all need to know his content. I don't upload videos, so I assumed there'd be some easier way to know if a video is from a specific creator. I wasn't trying to suggest we pile on more work, I assumed this specific job would be easy.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFor what it's worth, here's 17 U.S. Code § 107, which is about fair use:
- the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
- the nature of the copyrighted work;
- the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
- the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
It's not truly impossible for entire works to fall under fair use, but when taken together with the nature of our use, it makes such a defense less convincing. The whole substantiality thing may also impact our use of images; in that sense, I wonder how images like the one currently on Double Subversion (from VG Cats) would fare under this interpretation given that the portion we took is the meat of the product, so to speak.

I have things to do and daddy issues to repress!Denied all the videos that were full content. Paging ~EvilerThanThou to please keep this in mind when uploading videos.
Don't remember that being a rule, but alright. Also, the "Joker vs. Pennywise" and "Vlad vs Dracula" ones on Evil vs. Evil were only half the songs.

I've noticed that Jump Scare and Potty Failure are blanket-banned from having video examples, but they still have them.
Polly Wants a Microphone shouldn’t have the Bob’s Burgers video example of the parrot saying Linda’s catchphrase because the parrot is just mimicking rather than actually talking, and this trope is about parrots talking.
A Non-Standard Game Over example from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was uploaded recently, containing Ocelot's time paradox (and the media source leads to a redirect, not showing the video in the work page proper). The problem is that I had also uploaded a video of the same thing a few months ago. Which one should we keep?

Can the She-Ra Foe Yay Shipping example be removed, now that it's on Foe Romance Subtext?
Holler your post if you want mods to remove stuff.
If Potty Failure doesn't allow videos, shouldn't Bring My Brown Pants videos also be banned?
Keet cleanupMaybe? A lot of those examples would just be someone saying they brought their brown pants though; nothing would actually be shown.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
Only with your own videos. And there's no indication of who uploaded a video, so you can't even PM them and get them to fix it themself.
