Help me! I can't remove an invalid video I mistakenly uploaded on the Hot Potato trope page! You see, I tried adding the hot potato scene from Benchwarmers, it stops over 1/4 through processing, but the video says "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." I tried uploading my video again—only to get the same result! Now I have 4 of the same failed videos! And for some totally inexplicable reason, clicking the settings icon at the top left corner of the video has no effect whatsoever!
I tried clicking the settings icon on the video, but to no avail! Nothing happened! I don't get it! That usually works! How can I delete these duds before the admins review it?! And I can't report the failed videos either! I am just about reaching my breaking point! Videouploader constantly seems to have an issue when it comes to uploading videos! And it still freezes at 10%! Sometimes why is that? How many times must I upload?! I'm now starting to lose trust in the video uploader. I'm afraid if I upload another video it'll turn out to be blank again.
Could y'all please help me find out what the problem is and fix this glitch and help me get rid of these duplicate videos?

Ngh 93Is anyone else having problems trying to upload videos? The process always freezes at 10% for me.
That happens. What I do is I just let it sit and close the tab for a while. After about half an hour it usually goes through.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI want to upload a Maniac Mansion video involving the scene where Ed kills you if you show him his hamster after you put it in the microwave. Would this video fit under Microwave the Dog, Video Game Cruelty Punishment, or... should I put it in both?
EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out lol

I have things to do and daddy issues to repress!I don't know why, but any time I try to upload videos, the quality always seems to go down when the video's shown in the video player (I.E. the video becomes fuzzier).
Yeah, I think that happens for everyone. I have to lower the bitrate after I edit my videos so the thing will actually upload. I'm pretty sure there's a good reason for this, maybe so the video will play for mobile users?

Sometime when I try to upload something, the video gets stuck at the encode. I've tried this with Pummel Duel and Stringy-Haired Ghost Girl and it never goes through. What's more when I try to delete it I can't get the settings prompt (that little gear icon) to come up. Is this a glitch or something? My vids shouldn't be that big to cause problems.

I seem to have somehow lost the ability to edit the video I just submitted. Clicking the gear icon no longer does anything.
I suspect, without being sure, that this is related to the Japanese text I pasted in when referring to the original video creator — which is now coming out as mojibake, which is why I wanted to edit the video again...
All of my other videos are still editable as normal.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I hope this isn't pushy, but is there an issue with the video process lately? There haven't been any new videos in the past three days, when usually it seems the mods check uploads daily.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. It seems the mods looking at videos typically take the weekend off.
There's usually a ton of videos getting approved on monday-tuesday.
Would prefer videos not be uploaded in batches tbh. I get why they do it but any videos uploaded earlier get shoved to the back of the list, where people won't see them. If it was ever possible to do it individually (as they got uploaded) it would be so much better all around.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOkay, so I've noticed that one of the video examples on The Last Straw is the infamous "Mr. Creosote" scene from Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. Said scene is infamous for being extremely disgusting and full of Squick, so I'm questioning whether it's something that we'd want on there, especially since it's currently the video that autoplays. I'm pretty sure a lot of people wouldn't want to get blindsided by that on a page where you wouldn't be expecting it.
Reaction Image RepositoryOne thing I think needs to added is the ability to see what rating other people have given your video (1,2,3,4 or 5 stars) other then your own because I would like to see what the general consensus on it is. (If people like it, If it needs improvement etc.)
You can get the average star rating; however, that's obviously only if other people did rate your video.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI don’t know where you can see that on the video exactly I have honestly never noticed where it is.

It's where the stars are. If you haven't seen it, people might not have rated your videos.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI have noticed that the rating sometimes fails to show up even if other people have rated the video.
Rating it yourself makes it show up, but that's kinda silly to do if it's your video.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. That's weird. I might have to test that later.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAnd now one trope I got a video on earlier is getting stuck. The heck is going on with the uploader?
Edited by CASCHero on Sep 17th 2020 at 9:22:45 AM
I think that when you rate a video, you should be able to attach a comment to the rating to elaborate on why you chose that comment. This would indicate if there are any problems with the video, like if there's unnecessary footage, watermarks, audio/video problems, and the like.
Yeah, I've been saying that for ages now. We need a better system.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWe need a way to edit our videos, like if we forget to add the source.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsYou can edit your own in the upload video menu. Unfortunately, the same can't be done for others, not even by moderators (they can just decline).
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)You should be able to do that — go to the same page you uploaded them from, click "Edit Videos", yours should have a gear icon you can click to edit the description and media sources.
Sometimes it fails, for some reason. But it's definitely supposed to be there.

As I said on ATT, I successfully downloaded Awesome whatever-it's-called, but I don't know how to use it.
