A while ago, I made a thread for cleaning up Nightmare Fuel pages, since they tend to attract all sorts of gushing about anything vaguely unsettling, as well as violations of Example Indentation and the Spoiler Policy among other problems. Well, other Moments pages have similar issues, though to a slightly lesser extent, so they may as well have a cleanup thread too.
"Moments" reactions should:
- Be free of spoiler tags, in accordance with the Spoilers Off policy which states that:
Fridge, Headscratchers, and the various Moments subpages (Tear Jerker, Moment of Awesome, etc.) are for post-viewing discussions. Spoiler tagging there defeats the purpose of the articles. You shouldn't be going there if you are worried about them.
- Be based on things that actually have happened, not things that could happen, will happen, or might have happened. Speculation belongs only on the Wild Mass Guessing pages.
- Have affected the writer of the entry themselves. If you don't find something funny or sad, let someone who did add it to Funny Moments or Tear Jerker.
- Elicit a strong reaction. Not every single time a character accomplishes something is an Awesome Moment, not every attempt at comedy is a Funny Moment, not every time someone does something nice is a Heartwarming Moment, and not every unhappy event is a Tear Jerker.
- Explain why they're so awesome/funny/sad: Zero Context Examples aren't allowed on this wiki. Your description should allow anyone to understand your reaction.

Funny Moments isn't NRLEP but creators can't have subpages unless it refers to their work that doesn't have its own page. So maybe move moments of creators being funny to the Creators section on Funny.Real Life?

Found this Meta section on Awesome Moments for Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series:
- LittleKuriboh codified the entire Abridged Series genre with this series.
- Little Kuriboh redoing the entire first episode in French.
- Not exactly in the show itself, but at a convention, when LK and Teamfourstar all get up and sing "Don't Stop Believing", by Journey, in the character's voices. Also counts as Awesome Music. This troper literally could not stop smiling the entire time.
The first seems like Creator Worship, as does the second. The third has a This Troper example. Would it be alright if I just deleted the whole thing?
Okay, all the pages have Meta folders. Should I bring them here to see if there's anything salvageable in them, or just remove them?
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.

- Gushy meta example, not really a "moment" either, probably cutworthy.
- Still counts because it's about the content of the work.
- I'd count it since it's in-character and technically an extension of the work, but remove the "Not exactly in the show itself" Word Cruft and absolutely cut the last line.

How should we fix the indentation in the Miscellaneous section of Heartwarming.The Mandalorian? All of the moment pages have indentation issues, but the Misc. section of that page doesn't hide its entries in a folder, their issues really stand out (at least to me).

I have a question about this entry on Heartwarming.Victorious:
- If the Jade/Cat friendship is a crowner then so is the Jade/Andre friendship. Simply because she seems the most relaxed around him lately, she considers him a friend (pretty rare for her: she and Beck broke up, she really doesn't like Trina, she barely tolerates Robbie, Cat is basically a pet and whether you believe her or not she says often how much she dislikes Tori.) and they're always together in the background of scenes lately. They even went on a friendly date alone in "The Hambone King".
- Leaving the shipping out of it but even the fact that it's possible is sweet because that means Jade more than just likes him which this troper didn't think she would like anyone after Beck broke up with her. And he would still be in love with Jade.
The second part is my question. Is it a correct use? It seems somewhat nattery, and really isn't a moment. Also is shipping allowed on Moments page? I remember reading that they aren't, but I could be wrong.

The latter part is speculative, since I don't remember deliberate Ship Tease between Andre and Jade. Not to mention it uses "this troper." I think the first bullet works well enough on its own.

Yeah. There was more deliberate Ship Tease with her and Tori after the breakup then her ad Andre. Also yeah I think the first works just fine on it's own. I wasn't even thinking about the "this troper". My guess is that's not allowed. Permission to cut?

In YMMV.Bon Voyage Charlie Brown, is this just a "character is sad" example?
- Tear Jerker: Snoopy is at a bar in France, and puts a few coins into the jukebox. He sits down and starts swaying to the music, while Woodstock plays a violin. When the music gets sadder, he starts crying, similar to the gag in the Halloween special. It even reuses the sound of Snoopy crying from that special. In this instance, however, the song ends on a happy note.
It's time to bring Super Smash Bros. Ultimate moments pages under scrutiny. Per the no-meta-allowed rule, the following need a cleanup:
- Heartwarming.Super Smash Bros Ultimate
- "Meta" folder
- Fan Works to be deleted outright
- "Others" folder is in a very weird spot and its content should be elsewhere
- Funny.Super Smash Bros Ultimate
- "Fanart and fan reactions" to be deleted outright
- Awesome.Super Smash Bros Ultimate
- "Meta" folder
I also have qualms about a certain troper adding multiple images to those moments pages, but that's an entirely different issue I will be pressing on the Image Pickin' forum.

Maintenance?
I've brought Heartwarming to IP, and it looks like someone has done the same for Awesome as well. Funny has only the lead image, so no action is needed.
EDIT: The Fan Works folders mentioned are gone. The main examples need some cleaning as well, like this ZCE from the end of the Funny subpage:
- The knowledge that Sephiroth exists in a universe where Kirby can actually swallow and copy him.

Does Mark Hamill Tweeting (paraphrased), "Thank you for cheering online when I showed up in the Mandalorian S2 finale" belong on Heartwarming.The Mandalorian? I removed it out of fear that it would seem too meta, but someone put it back.
To boot, that person also quoted a Tweet labeled "1/2", but didn't quote the one labeled "2/2", so if that quote can stay, I or someone else has to pick up the slack.

None of the examples on this page are even remotely tear-jerking. I'm not exaggerating or speaking in hyperbole. There's probably, like, what? One or two keepable examples at best?
Awesome.Power Rangers Dino Fury and Funny.Power Rangers Dino Fury are moments pages for an upcoming work that are just "meta" stuff about casting.
So, I just looked through TearJerker.Alice In Wonderland, and this is what I found.
- Alice's "Very Good Advice" song (pictured above). Especially when all the Ugly Cute birds in the Tulgey Wood start crying along with her, while fading away in the process. To be clear: the previous moments on this page could be construed as comical; in this one, not even the comic relief can keep it together.
- The way that Kathryn Beaumont (the actor voicing Alice) delivers the line, "Someday, I'll give myself" can almost be heard as "Someday, I'll kill myself"; it might be a misheard line, but the idea that this child feels so hopeless and distraught that she would consider suicide is so heartbreaking.
- It gets worse if you take this misheard line in context of a point near the start of the original book that's pretty much glossed over in a single sentence: Alice often scolds herself so severely she cries, and she once hit herself (termed "trying to box her own ears" by the narrative) as punishment in a croquet game against herself. Considering that one sentence mentioned both, one might wonder if that instance of physical harm wasn't a one-time occurrence.

Because it's not like most of Wonderland's residents were portrayed as either annoying, hostile, or both, and thus Alice was probably quite happy to get out of that crazy place.

Alright as a result of Jitomi Monoe just got released from the group due to a contract breach, this showed up in YMMV.VOMS Project:
- Tear Jerker: Just shy of VOMS's one-year anniversary, Monoe was released from the group due to a "breach of contract". Pikamee and Tomoshika both talked on the subject in brief, and both were heartbroken over Monoe's firing.

Um, pretty sure this is false. Meta and RL aren't the same thing. Moments are about what the work itself makes you feel. Meta is banned for being external from the actual work.
