How Did You Know? I Didn't

I typed in a similar quote from The Wolverine movie out of boredom just to see what would pop up and then I found that page and decided to check it out, and the rest is history.

If Jesus, Then Aliens.

Although I misunderstood the trope in a really funny way at first. I thought it was about overwrought, implausible conspiracy theories. As in, "if Jesus X, then aliens Y."

Well, the first page I ever saw was the WMG page for Sailor Moon. They first trope I recall reading extensively, however, was Mind Screw. Yes, really.

Go big or go home.

I'm fairly certain that my first page was Vinesauce due to Vinny talking about the wiki every now and then and piqued my interest, but I'm not sure what my first actual trope from that was. Either way, it interested me to stick around.

Innocent Swearing was the first trope I ever saw.

Not a trope, but the first TVT page I ever saw was You Tube Poop.

The Alcoholic.

The first trope on the site I was linked to was The Goomba, though I didn't really pay much attention to the rest of the site at the time. (I thought it looked kind of sketchy...)

I would eventually stumble across the site again while looking for information on Creepypasta out of morbid curiosity. Thankfully, the way TvTropes is structured gave me all the joys of reading about spooky Internet stories without the sleep-depriving tension!

Bag of Spilling. Was hanging around on DeviantArt when somebody linked there. Can't even remember what exactly were they talking about.

IIRC it was Dark Skinned Redhead, which in hindsight is a really weird one to be someone's first but whatever.

It started when I found this fanfic called ITS MY LIFE! and everything spiraled out of control from there.

And You Were There, and I didn't go on TV Tropes for another year. Then I found it again. Then TV Tropes ruined my life.

Cranium Ride. I remember finding an inflation picture on DeviantArt^note No, I can't provide any links, I don't remember what the art was even called (where else?). I discovered a link that led to the Cranium Ride page, and the rest is history.

Incidentally, TV Tropes has also led me from creating ridiculous Self-Insert Fics to planning a Roblox place where Tickets are used as tinder for a fire.

I scanned the page and began clicking links, and well, I've never gotten out of here.

I landed on this site while looking for the Xylophone Gag.

Darker and Edgier, IIRC.

The first page I saw was The Runaway Guys funny moments. Mostly for their Kirby Lp

A friend of mine, and a 40k fan, mentioned the site with the example of More Dakka.

Transformation Sequence, or possibly Painful Transformation. I think I was looking up examples/reference for a drawing at the time and Google was not being my friend. (Or maybe it was.)

Mary Sue Around a few years back, I was on the SWTOR forums, and someone was claiming that said fanfic was poorly written and the character was a Mary Sue.

Fast forward to today, where I have my first acct after years of lurking, and getting bored of SWTOR. And Reddit.

I was looking up True Capitalist Radio on this very wiki one day just to see what it was about.

I went looking for Starkits Prophcy because it was the hot topic on the Warrior Cats official forum when I was a wee Kitdo back in 2011, so I googled the title and the first result was this wiki's page on it. I can't believe my life was enhanced because of a Troll Fic about a purple cat.

A Google search for anime laws contained the result Mandy's Law of Anime Gender Bending.
