I can't see a thread like this on the first page so here I go.
I thought we could do with a thread for promoting your own fanfic. Probably the largest bane of fanfic writers is no one noticing it. It could because because you're an awful writer, to having a poor blurb and not knowing so, a bad title, a unusual or 'out there' topic that people don't search for etc.
So here I guess we can publicise our own fanfics. I also figure it would be a good idea if we stuck to the format - or something similar - used when recommending fanfics over on the wiki. Maybe we should also limit it to 1-3 per week/month or something so we don't have people spaming this topic with hundred of shitty fics?

- Description: Athena Potter (Fem!Harry) enters Gringotts on her eleventh birthday and is given the chance to take an inheritance test leading to her being proclaimed the Lady Le-Fay. From here she delves into the murky waters of British Wizarding politics and does not like what she sees; creating the third side to the war.
- Notes: Slytherin!Fem!HP/Slytherin!GW Femslash, MOB!Dumbledore, and some non-flanderization MW and RW bashing. I am trying my best to avoid clichés with these tropes and even ran Athena through several Mary Sue tests just in case which she passed.

I'm kinda nervous to share this, because the fic does cover real-life issues, and I've been researching my ass off to find a way to write it well, but I guess if I don't promo it anywhere, I won't have much of an audience. This is my first time writing anything more than a series of drabbles or spur-of-the-moment fics that I abandon within a month and sticking with it for the long haul. I've been working on it for 4 or 5 months now, and only just got the guts to start posting it in early May.

Yeah, that was one of the main inspirations of it. On the Jojo side, I intend to borrow a bit more from the SBR/Jojolion universe than the main/original one.

Star Wars fanfic idea:
Original story set 500 years before ANH. The Republic is in its golden age, and looking to expand into Hutt territory, to establish political control on planets that have been abused by the Hutts. The Supreme Chancellor Corwin Vance sends his son Corwin, Jr., a Jedi Knight, to Ryloth to organize a pro-Republic revolt among the Twi'lek clans and throw the Hutts out ahead of the planet's annexation. To that end, our hero leads a guerrilla campaign against Hutt-aligned Twi'lek clan chiefs and helps the Republic's allies in setting up a new government. As the story begins, Corwin is skirmishing a Hutt convoy, and captures a cache of munitions and data headed towards a secret archaeological dig, where the Hutts have unearthed a relic from the galaxy's distant past, one which the Hutts hope will help them drive off the Republic forever. Think of the story as being kind of a Star Wars Jungle Opera, except set on a desert planet with an "Arabian Nights" Days motif.
Prologue is being written, will have a link in a couple days.

Mostly a chance to play around with some further worldbuilding and storytelling opportunities further down the Avatarverse's timeline, with some of Brandon Sanderson's stated plans for Mistborn being an inspiration for the general concept. Well, I already posted this fic in the Pokemon thread, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to put it here too. Let me know what you guys think, I'd love to hear some criticism.

- Fandom: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
- Description: A teenage boy named Isaac wakes up one morning to to find himself in a world inhabited solely by Pokemon, turned into a Zorua. From there, what seems to be a cliche setup for a typical PMD fanfic eventually proves to be much more complicated at a closer glance. As it stands now, there's not enough material to give many examples (only two chapters at the moment), but one good indicator for what you should expect is the fact that Isaac is not the only hero of this story.
- Notes: This is partially a way of experimenting and seeing what I'm capable of, partially just me finally producing a loving tribute to one of my favorite Pokemon spinoffs. I've got many plans for this fanfic, although I haven't entirely planned it out, since I'm planning to incorporate elements from the as-of-yet unreleased Sun and Moon into the plot. It's definitely an ambitious little fic, but I think I'll be able to stick with it to the end, even if there are a few hiatuses here and there. Any criticism is welcomed and encouraged.

A little while ago, I finished a massive crossover fanfic. I mean really massive. It's the only fanfic where you'll see Chowder from the cartoon network series of the same name teaming up with John Mcclane from Die Hard to defeat Judge Death from the Judge Dredd series of comics. Of course they aren't the only works featured. I've tried to include characters from all sorts of mediums, from films and books to Anime and even web shows.

Basically every Alphys fanfic I've written for Undertale ever since Alphys' Adventures is just plain gold, honestly, but this one REALLY stands out even amongst the already great stuff I just mentioned, probably taking the cake.
Alphys VS Undyne: Now, don't get me wrong; I can definitely understand why you might not be expecting much after reading this story's title. However, fret not, as this is easily one of the weirdest, craziest and funniest fanfics you'll ever read, almost rivaling the likes of actual trollfic at times.
Easily the most polarizing thing I've written so far, this story has even less of a plot than Alphys' Adventures and Alphys Hoek (which are also criminally underrated and legitimately funny fanfics, by the way) before it.
However, it makes up for it by being so goddamned wacky and hilarious that it will legitimately leave you wondering what the hell you just read by the time it's over...and unlike most fanfics of its kind, it invokes this in a good way.
The basic premise (and pretty much all the story there is here) is that Alphys' and Undyne's relationship with other has grown into a fierce jealousy-induced rivalry that the two of them end up starting a televised series of ludicrously random contests in order to properly setttle with each other.
Each and every one of these contests provides its own unique brand of insane hilarity, from the crack-shipping playdates between Alphys/Francis and Undyne/Muffet to the literal verbal wrestling match between Alphys and Undyne in which they blow up the world together with Falcon Punch.
If you still aren't sold on this fanfic yet, then please tell me:
What other Undertale fic contains a scene in which Undyne shrinks herself, sneaks inside Alphys' head through her ear canal, takes control over her brain and makes her sing and dance naked to the Mew Mew Kissy Cutie theme song while simultaneously having sex with her own amalgamated eldritch-abomination pets, all on live public television, and all for nothing more than her own demented, sadistic amusement?

Is it OK to repost fics that had been promoted before? Because I'm thinking of doing so for Pokémon: Clefairy Tales in advance of its second season. Just wondering.
As long as what's being written is brand new, fresh and re-reading the previously promoted fanfiction helps garner understanding and appreciation of the new season, I wouldn't consider it excessive promotion. It'd be more of like a reminder, "Hey, this cool new story/movie/game is coming out but you might be lost if you've forgotten what happened before, so here's a link to the previous story/movie/game to refresh your memory so you can get maximum enjoyment out of the new material!" :D
A former adventurer...
Well, I know there are people who don't like crossovers, mashups between universes, and fan-fic titles that are combinations of two existing titles, but the idea for this burned so brightly inside me...so I started work on a Mass Effect X Dead Space mashup called Dead Mass.
Simply put, Dead Mass is what happens when the Mass Effect universe is forced to absorb the Dead Space universe; the overall plot, setting, and defining traits of the Mass Effect universe shine through, but aspects, major characters, themes, and events from the Dead Space universe also appear and exist. So far there's only three chapters, and it's honestly all expository and world-building, but I'm aiming for a darker Mass Effect universe tainted by the things that make the Dead Space universe so nasty.
So, if you give it a shot, give me a review and tell me what you like, dislike, want to see, or don't want to see; I'd love to get some honest feedback for it, as it's one of my major (and many) projects.

Because I just wrote a Fusion Fic of Transformers and Seven Samurai, and I doubt many people watch the Magnum Opus of one of history's most celebrated filmmakers and immediately think afterwards, "You know what this movie needs? Transforming Mecha!"

Comments: Status: Complete. This is kind of a union of ideas of elements I've wanted to see in a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon story, and I quite like how it turned out. This story mostly went under the radar, but it got pretty good reviews, apart from one which did not establish entirely correct criticisms (e.g. don't capitalize Pokemon species???) but did offer good insight at times. What do you think? What's good? What needs improvement?
I guess I might as well throw my hat into this ring, I'm hungry for reviews and comments. I have three fanfics written at the moment; two are one-shots, and one is currently ongoing at Chapter 15. All three are on my profile for convenient access.
Lost in Transition is a Super Smash Bros. fanfic. It's my first, and is still ongoing. Its summary is:
The transition from Super Smash Bros. Brawl to Super Smash Bros. For 3DS/Wii U doesn't quite go as smoothly as everyone hoped... Join our loveable gang of idiots, sociopaths, and quasideity F-Zero racers as they gather their old friends up as well as meet new faces across dimensions, and deal with some old baddies causing trouble for the multiverse!
It's basically just a somewhat nonsensical adventure story with all the characters exaggerated into weird personality archetypes. It's gotten very good reviews so far and is even featured on SSB's Fanfic Recommendations page, though, so if you're looking for something to make you laugh give it a read. And review, of course!
The other two are just a single chapter each. Both contain massive spoilers for their respective games, however, so read at your own risk.
Satorl Guardian, Guardian of Satorl is a completely idiotic Xenoblade Chronicles Crack Fic I wrote at 5 AM when I had a cold, and it shows. It focuses on the titular miniboss and how he got the "job" of Satorl Guardian in the first place. Despite being so stupid it's also on its respective game's Fanfic Recommendations page, so I guess I did something right.
Cold, Binding Metal is an Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies fic. I wanted to take a break from comedy to try writing something more grim-natured (without being OW THE EDGE), and I believe I succeeded. It focuses on Simon Blackquill and the game's Big Bad, interacting after the events of the game. So obviously huge spoilers there. It hasn't gotten very many views yet.
