The Maple Samurai is a Canadian troper with aspirations in the realm of graphic novel art and some decent martial arts skills. His main areas of interest include anime, Kaiju movies, sequential art of all kinds, video games, Tabletop Games, British comedy, fantasy novels, and other nerdy crap like that. He discovered this site completely by accident in the early New Tens, and has yet to escape.
Aside from being a serial Deadpan Snarker that's perfected the Death Glare to an art form, Maple has been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome for as long as he can remember.

- Attention Deficit Creator Disorder: As of this writing, he is working on a webcomic, three novel ideas, a web serial novel, a Mega Crossover Fan Fic, a Cattle Punk Pathfinder campaign setting, and a homebrew tabletop RPG running on the D 20 Modern system.

- Badass Beard: It is a rare day that Maple's chin goes unshaven.
- Badass Bookworm: Not only does he have several bookshelves crammed with novels, manga and comic books, but he also has a green belt in kenjutsu, bojutsu, and Shorin-ryu karate.

- Real Men Wear Pink: He loves My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Magical Girl anime, and is not afraid to admit it.
- Simple Staff: One of the weapons he owns, and is trained in the use in.
- Wooden Katanas Are Even Better: A downplayed example. He owns a bokken, but it's only "better" by virtue of his only metal swords being models.
