^^ A New Challenger Appears!
Ishida Akira league! Formed by Xelloss one day when he was bored.
- Gokudo the idiot Hero!
- Gaara the quiet but lethal Lancer.
- Hakkai, Team Mom/The Heart, The Wheelman. The only member of the team Xelloss is ever shown to be afraid of. Which is odd, since this is a team that includes
- Tabris, the Seventeenth Angel, the Last Angel, the Angel of Free Will. Known familiarly as Nagisa Kaworu. The Big Guy.
- Saguru & Hiwatari, Consulting Detectives, Smart Guys.
- Tom Marvolo Riddle. Thought he was hardcore until he met everyone else. Now he's the only sane man. Token Evil Teammate, unless you wanna count Tabris; who even fuckin' knows with that kid?
- Sarutobi Sasuke. -_- "I can't believe you people are a step up in sanity from my last team."

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!And here's the Yuri Lowenthal league, which was formed by Cecil Harvey.
- Simon the Digger: Having long since found his destiny, this passionate man is the team's leader. Pilots Lagann, which can combine with... pretty much anything.
- Suzaku Kururugi: The team's bitter and cynical Lancer, who has long since lost sight of his ideals. Pilots Lancelot.
- Shinra Kishitani: The Medic. A highly skilled, if unlicensed surgeon, he is perpetually fanboying over his wife, Celty.
- Minato Arisato: A cool young man who doesn't speak often, but has a tendency to inspire everyone around him. Can summon mons out of his own psyche by shooting himself in the head.
- Sasuke Uchiha: Perpetual Frowner of a ninja driven by vengeance.
Villains include Victor Powered and Jasper Batt Jr.
I actually had this idea flowering in my head for a while... Pretty much a reinterpretation of... Screw it, I'll let you guess.
- "Zero" (Real name: Jiro): The Leader of the Eden Variation Assemblage after their previous leader was killed by a traitor. Lost an eye in an ensuing battle, but acts as the team's Cold Sniper.
- "Shoko" (Real name: Yui): The Berserker who acts as the Mysterious Protector to the E.V.A. No one knows what "his" story is, though they might not live long to hear it if they hang with her. Two words: Mama Bear.
- "Zeppelin" (Real name: Oscar): The Hero of the story who rejoined the E.V.A. after being left for dead by the traitor. Wears glasses and is good in melee combat, capable of taking on twelve Harpies at once.
- "Traitor" (Real name: Brad): The Starscream of the story who betrayed the E.V.A. after a Deal with the Devil. He excels at both sniping and melee combat, though the only one who could best him is Shoko.
- "Sub-Zero" (Real name: Yoshi): The previous leader of the E.V.A. before sacrificing himself to save the others from Brad's betrayal. Contrasting Zero, he's a Friendly Sniper and is easily The Gwen Stacy for Zero.
- "Tank" (Real name: Marki): The Brute of the Red Ribbon Rebuild, mostly residing in a tank and rants about spilling "blood for the blood god". He's probably going to be the first to go.
- "Tabris" (Real name: Kaworu) The Big Bad who leads the RRR, though his goals are for the best of humankind, his plans involve scrapping the earth and merging all of humanity to live in an ark he calls "The Black Egg".
- "Highlander" (Real name: Shinji) A new member of the RRR, though currently going through what Tabris refers to as a "Quickening", a transformation to become a Super-Soldier.
Oh, and there's also these Harpies that scower the post-apocalyptic earth.

........... Wow.
When I think "modern" I actually was thinking modern-era person not modern-era media. So with that in mind ...
So - a wizard, a genius doctor, a brilliant detective, the new Mac Guyver, a woman with partial death immunity, a walking generator, and a cop with psychic powers. I don't think there's much they couldn't accomplish.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswAnd now, a League of wandering comedic characters. Formed in 2004 when several people ran into eachother and (after getting unbelievably stoned by complete accident) decided to travel together, the people are.
- Jay and Silent Bob
- Neil the hippy
- Elwood Blues
- Percy Percy, a descendent of the nobleman.
- Garfield
- Peter Fox
Now while this League mostly just goes around and has wacky hijinks, they do have an enemy...Leatherface, he's been chasing them throughout all of their adventures.

I've got a bunch of ideas...first of all, I'll follow the rules and create an all-British modern League. Well, as close to all-British as I can get.
Dr. Nicholas Rush, a brilliant scientist with a Machiavellian streak who wants nothing more than to explore the cosmos on Destiny. Stranded back on Earth via temporal shenanigans, he quickly recruits a team to help unravel the timey-wimey mystery he finds himself caught up in. He gathers a team composed mostly of individuals who, in one way or another, have experience with time travel and other strange events.
Detective Inspector Greg Lestrade, who meets up with Rush when a murder investigation ends up being connected to the time-travel shenanigans. Initially skeptical, Lestrade sees enough to be convinced that something is definitely going on. He remains wary of trusting Rush (for good reason) but sees little alternative. Although Rush brings the group together, Lestrade acts as the de facto leader, keeping the team working together and helping to navigate the red tape, and creating cover-ups as necessary.
Captain Hilary Becker, a soldier with experience in fighting both humans and far more dangerous creatures. Becker's main role is security, protecting the other members by any means necessary.
Rory Williams, RN, just an ordinary person who happens to have experience with all sorts of timey-wimey shenanigans. He also keeps a cool head under just about any sort of pressure, which makes him the ideal choice for team medic.
Amy Williams, Rory's wife. Due to the unique nature of her experiences with time travel, Amy seems to be immune to temporal anomalies, a quality she shares with her husband Rory and which interests Dr. Rush greatly. Initially recruited only because Rush wanted to study her odd immunity, her experiences with time travel and other dangerous situations makes her a valuable asset to the team, even if she lacks formal training.
Lara Croft, a rich Adventure Archaeologist with years of experience with all kinds of strange phenomena. In addition to her skills as a fighter, archaeologist and scientist, she acts as the team's financier.
Cole Barker, an MI 6 agent who is certainly not used to time travel. Ever skeptical of the team's adventures, he somewhat reluctantly goes along with them and helps out however he can. His work and contacts give him access to a variety of resources the team might otherwise lack. Also, when even Lestrade finds the red tape too thick or needs help with a cover-up, Cole steps in to help.
I'll type up some of my other ideas later.

Fear is a superpower.Last I checked, it was Amy and Rory Pond.
Maybe a Shikinami is being pulled here.
Fair enough.
Except it isn't, not really. I didn't feel like making that particular joke right now.
Fear is a superpower.<shocked gasp> Really? It isn't? Wow. ... <just sits there, gobsmacked>
It's funny, if I had gone with "Rory Pond" (RORANICUS PONDICUS INVICTUS!) I'm sure someone would have corrected me on that choice too. I guess I just can't win with that one. :D
Fear is a superpower.I don't think so. Rory the Roman is non-correctable. He's just that damn awesome.
I'm back. Now I wish to make a League of the 50s. Formed in 1952 by Senator Joseph Mc Carthy for the purpose of finding communists, but was largely used against paranormal threats that were overlooked by superheroes. The members were...
- Indiana Jones, a professor of archeology with a tendency to end up in bizarre adventures, he was brought in specifically to lead the group.
- Terr'ble Thomson, a ten year old boy with the power to travel through time under his own power, however when he told others of his stories nobody believed him...except the government, once they found out about him they convinced him to join their group through the means of promising glory to the "hero of history" though most people didn't like the idea of sending a kid into this kind of work.
- Stubbs the Zombie, a vastly powerful zombie who destroyed the city of Punchbowl Pennsylvania, he was caught shortly afterwards by the government and was forced into working for them once they kidnapped his zombie bride.
- Jane Doe, a man who wanted to join in World War 2 but wasn't allowed in the army, this didn't stop him however, as he simply bought a ticket to Poland and engaged in a spree of violence that plagued Germany until 1952 when he learned the war was over. Shortly after this American soldiers came to take him out of German custody, and into the group known as "Mc Carthy's Menagerie", though they didn't really need to force him...Doe's patriotism made him more than willing to kill everyone he remotely suspected to be Communist.
- Mike Hammer, a private detective who was forced into the League after being arrested for breaking more laws than he could count. The alternative was a life sentence in prison, and Hammer certainly didn't like the thought of that.
- Bob "The Black Terror" Benton, a superhero with the power of superhuman strength and durbility. Was invesigated as a suspected Communist and blackmailed into joining once his secret was discovered.
- Albert Alligator, a humanoid alligator from the Okefenokee Swamp, apparently gangpressed in by Mc Carthy's pet humanoid bobcat "Simple J. Malarky" after an argument concerning Malarky's tendency to steal Albert's food. Plays the role of plucky comic relief.
This group faced many threats in it's operation, threats that included an alien conqueror known as Claw (a relative of Aku), remnants of the Thingmaker regime, a British spymaster who was once known as Harry Lime, but their most notable threat came from within the government itself.
It started in 1956 when the group was labeled by their own government for extermination by a race of aliens known as the Furons, who saw the group as a possible threat when they attempted to kill everyone in America to harvest their brain stems, while the group managed to stop their plan, it disbanded after a battle against them that killed a Furon named Crypto (who was ironically killed by another Krypto), Stubbs, and was joined in by pretty much all the superheroes in America, the aftermath of which caused the Committee for Unamerican Activities to finally stop trying to arrest them. Three notable allies in this final mission were a sentient tank-mecha named Super Mecha Death Christ, who was noted for killing some of Hitler's many doubles, Holden Caulfield just as he was starting on his career of adventurer (and later, would-be revolutionary), and a elderly, jaded miner from another world, who gained a new lease on life after helping the League and later formed a League of his own...

Now then, who among you would be willing to design a 1930s League?
I volunteer!
- Bertram Wilberforce Wooster, the league's benefactor. Barely tolerated by the actual members since he's a nice guy, but a little slow. The reason they do put up with him is because he provides them the use of
- Jeeves, the quintessential gentleman's personal gentleman. Brilliant, quiet, unflappable, capable of piercing narrativium nonsensica armour at twelve hundred yards, though he prefers to discreetly appear over shoulders at the opportune moment. Makes the best hangover cure in the Empire.
- Simon Templar! Because what is a league of extraordinary gentlemen without a thief/detective?
- Iris Chateaubriand, a psychic lass on loan from the Holy League. Pilots a steam-powered mecha.
- Walter C. Dornez. Claims to be Jeeves' apprentice, but spends most of his time breaking things. Occasionally even on purpose.
- I'll think of more tomorrow.

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Congratulations, you've made a good League there. Nice work.
I hope my 30s League will be just as good, so far (aside from some pulp heroes) I've only decided on adding Rufus T. Firefly to it.
In the year 1976, a king named Mickey, discovered Earth on a trip by Gummi Ship, oberving the Blazing World though, he realized that a wizard was going to pose a grave threat to Earth, and so Mickey decided to make a League to try and stop him...lest he target the other worlds as well. While it originally started with two people Mickey recruited, he gained new members over a period of time, they were...
- John Drake, a British spy who was highly competent in the catching of criminals and villains, but was thrown in a retirement home for spies (where he was named 'Number Six' after interfering with an attempt to kill the Piranha Brothers due to the innocents that would have been killed in it. He joined shortly after escaping from The Village in 1976 when Mickey found him.
- Harold Tracy, a former spy with Asperger Syndrome who once ended up in a retirement home for spies where he was referred to as 'Number 48', as a child though he was known for possession of a purple crayon that could alter reality. He joined up after Mickey found him hitchhiking, and gave him back his purple crayon. He joined as one of the first members in 1976 after he and a colleague, escaped The Village. A cousin of astronaut and adventurer Jeff Tracy.
- Samurai Jack, a Samurai from a possible timeline where an eldritch horror took over the world, initially refused to join the group but did once he learned that the wizard (Prospero) posed a far greater threat than the horror he desired to kill. He joined in 1984.
- Ness, a psychic kid from America who played a part in the killing of a being known as Gigyas, he joined after his friend Jeff was murdered for finding a way to the Blazing World. Ness joined in 1999.
- Fran and Baltheir, a pair of sky pirates from another world named Ivalice. They entered after a failed attempt to rob Disney Castle that came scarily close to succeeding. Mickey was so impressed about how well they did, he offered to drop charges against them in exchange for their services. They joined in 2003.
While Prospero was an active threat to them, this group has engaged in other problems. Such as an inter-world arms trafficking ring headed by the Third Street Saints, an attempt to plunder a jungle world by Dogbert, terrorist attacks by Do-It-Or-Die, and an attempt to take over the Heartless by Aku.

I approve. Everything's better with Earthbound.
In 2013, when a series of nuclear explosions brought America into a state of anarchy a man known as Mr.Am went to another world and convinced a trickster from another dimension named Flip into heading to the human world to assemble a League of heroes for an upcoming war against a tyranic government, giving him a flying craft once used to head to Mars, Flip went out into the world to assemble this group over time. The Members were.
- Annie Warbucks, a surprisingly long lived young woman who was taken in by a war criminal after surviving an attempt on her life. Over time the criminal trained her to defend herself. In 2012 she went back to America in an attempt to find her old dad "Daddy" Warbucks. Hoewever not to long after her search the bombs went off and she was plunged into a post apocalyptic Hell, she was the first person Flip found and became his second in command. She's frequently accompanied by her trusty dog Sandy.
- Jedediah the Preacher, a radio evangelist and stern opponent of the Calypso corporation. He apparently died during a contest known as "Twisted Metal" however Flip inadvertently freed him from a painting his soul (along with those of hundred of others) and convinced the Preacher to join him. Jedediah is apparently still obsessed with finding Calypso and killing him for unspecified reasons.
- Ashley J. Williams, zombie hunter who has fought many threats in his lifetime. He apparently woke up from a nap he'd been having since the Middle Ages and when he was found, he was fighting with a supervillain who dressed like a rhino and barely survived even with the group's help. He joined to get away from some people who he owed money.
- Saffi, a demon from Hell who came up to Earth due to boredom. Despite her ditzy and offbeat personality, she actually possesses great strength and demonic power. She joined after an encounter Flip's group had with a Shinigami.
- Chains, a mercenary and part time thief who was separated from his crew in New York, Flip found him after his Shinigami adventure. Chains was having trouble with a Yakuza crimeboss when they found him, he ended up joining them to escape what would otherwise be certain death. Is a bit more vicious than the others.
- The Flea, a ten year old student from a Superhero School, he left the shelter of it after a friend of his was kidnapped in an attack by a mutant extremist. Is the youngest member, but is still pretty tough when he needs to.
- The Shadow III, the daughter of Tintin and Violet Baudelaire. Vivian Addler used an invisibility suit, her skill in detective work, and a pair of guns to fight crime. When the bombs detonated she still didn't stop. When Flip found her she was dealing with a biker gang, and joined them so she'd have assistance in her crusade.
Over the course of their four year operations, they fought various threats in addition to the Allied States of America. Which included gangs of violent surfers, killer produce, Johan Liebert, The Minotaur, Cobra, and a group of psychotic, transforming robots. In some of their missions, they met other Leagues as well, including the Canadian, VFD, and Simon Leagues.

Man, you guys have these all thought out. All I've got thought out for mine are Harry Dresden and the title character from Girl With the Dragon Tattoo*. Not trying to limit myself to just literary characters, but those were the first two I thought of.
- Team like this needs some sort of researcher.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatAlright, this one's for real.
If someone hired me to write the honest-to-goodness fourth chapter of the League saga, here's how I would do it:
The Team
In addition to Emma Peel as M, Mina as the field leader, Orlando as Mina's lover and second in command, and (possibly) Jack Nemo as the Gadgeteer Genius, I would add two new members:- Fox Mulder. At the start, he uncovers the League's existence after months of investigation, and he tracks down M in a last-ditch effort to bring down the "conspiracy" that she represents. Instead of disposing of him, she takes him under her wing so that he won't become a threat to her, and he accepts a place in the League, knowing that the information that they're privy to could finally give him the answers to the cases that he's been investigating for years. In addition to his research into extraterrestrial life on Earth, he's also worked on cases involving the Great Old Ones and incursions from the Blazing World.
- Henry Dorsett Case. A burned-out grifter/hacker, he was involved in a job a few years back that gave birth to a truly advanced AI. Now, M recruits him for his skill in dealing with AIs when a new one resurfaces that threatens all of Earth's governments. As events unfold, he discovers that Wintermute and Neuromancer, the two that he encountered before, have become pawns of the supercomputer HAL 9000, which is gradually taking over all the world's computer systems in hopes of creating a technological utopia where machine intelligence can take its rightful place on the world stage.
The Plot
In a nutshell: the ultimate war of Magic vs. Technology. After spending over four centuries in the Blazing World, Prospero, the founder of the original League, has gone rogue, and he plans to lead an army into the physical plane to wage war on the forces of technology. In the 17th century, he and Gloriana founded the League because they sensed old Age of Wonders giving way to a new Age of Industrialism and Technology, and they thought that forming a fellowship of extraordinary humans was the only way to stave off the death of Magic. Since then, Prospero has watched his League's successors recruit a slew of technology-obsessed figures including a Sikh prince who lives in a submarine, and a German scientist who helped build an automated metropolis in Berlin and took a robot for a lover. Needless to say, he ain't happy.Fast-forward to the present day: News of The Moonchild's rampage in England has reached the public. This, combined with the growing fear of The Death Eaters (who masterminded a major terrorist attack in New York around 2001) has led to a major backlash against the culture of magic users, with many world governments pledging to wipe them out. Azkaban has been taken over by the British and American governments, and is now being used as a sort of "magical Guantanamo" where suspected Dark Wizards are secretly detained without trial for years on end.
Around the same time, news breaks that a company has developed a new Heuristic Algorithm computer of unprecedented human-like intelligence, and that this computer is playing a major role in a certain space voyage to Saturn. Learning of this, Prospero realizes that the prophesied end of the Age of Wonders might be upon the world, and decides that the time has come to make his move.
On one side, HAL covertly manipulates a faction of dangerous robots and space patrolmen into serving as his henchmen, while Prospero leads an army of sorcerers and magical creatures from the Blazing World to bring them down. Caught in the middle, the League just tries to stop both sides from destroying the world in the process. At some point, they end up in a race against time to find the mysterious Flux capacitor (this episode's Macguffin) so that they can use it to travel to the Blazing World and fight Prospero on his home turf.
Other Characters and Factions:
- The Lensmen: The space patrolmen manipulated into serving as muscle for HAL. In the League 'verse, they're violent, xenophobic pawns of the Great Old Ones (called "Eddorians" by humans) who want to establish a genetically pure interstellar empire, even if it means wiping out every alien civilization in the galaxy in the process. They represent the dark side of man's expansion into space.
- The Weird Sisters: Prospero's most feared allies on the "magic" side, known for their ability to use prophecies to manipulate humans into doing their bidding. They fight with Prospero, but as the story goes on, it gradually becomes clear that they have their own agenda, and that they're some of the few spirits that Prospero can't control.
- Harry Dresden: Something of a Wild Card in the fight, he's a fugitive from Azkaban who's been watching his back since The Moonchild's rampage, and is always ready to help out a fellow sorcerer in need.

And now for my latest invention...a LOEG esque superhero group, unlike the previous groups this one is composed entirely of superheroes, and is more like a conventional group than an adventuring party. This group is named The Musketeers, in honor of a band of heroes who once protected France.
The many threats this group fought included Grimly Feendish, The Spider, the returned Dr.Terminus, Willy Pete, a mutated, carnivorous plant, a union of street gangs from New York, and a group of alien invaders who want to try to conquer Earth after their first failed attempt.
