Time to go Underground!

Da Pukas is a webcomic made by Pembroke W. Korgi, aka Robbie Allen creator of Femmegasm, that started in 2016 on November 10th. The story stars a bunch of of the titular rabbit-like creatures who live deep underground; namely Lider, his best friend Apocado, and their various friends who are all sent out to explore the caverns around their village. Along the way they encounter many strange creatures, some friendly others not so much, as well as find out what happened to Lider's missing mother.

The comic started out with purely black and white comics, but transitioned to fully colored ones on April 3 of 2018

Da Pukas provides examples of:

  • Ambiguous Gender: Chacal, no one knows Chacal's gender, except for Chacal, and they aren't telling. They even used it to taunt Artifice. It is eventually revealed that Chacal is female.
  • Art Evolution: Most of the Pukas have stayed the same since their first appearance, Alegre being the only exception: she started out with a squat and stout design similar to her fellow pukas, but as time has gone on she has gotten taller, bustier, and her already broad hips have continued to grow wider.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Chacal is a truly huge jackal who wants to eat the pukas.
  • Beneath the Earth: The setting of the story.
  • Blood Knight: Ali and Artifice both have shades of this.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Portazo is a prime example. He'll hit on anything that is female and moves... Except Ali.
  • Demonic Possession: Malo, after getting blamed for something they didn't do, ends up accepting a deal from and getting possessed by Zyro, the skull she obtained earlier.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: The pukas are not at all enthused about Ali’s help. Justified given the amount of trouble she has given them in the past. Heck, it goes so far that Chacal actually outright refuses to eat Ali, despite getting the perfect chance twice.
  • Funny Animal: The pukas. The one exception being Alegre who used to be this but steadily became a Humanoid Female Animal.
  • Hartman Hips: Alegre already had some impressive hips at the start, but when Art Evolution kicked in they just got bigger to the point her rear and legs outsize her whole upper body.
  • Hold Your Hippogriffs: When surprised or scared the pukas will often exclaim "Lords Of Light" or "Lords of Darkness". On occasion they also invoke the name of some possible creator being named Blog.
  • Humanoid Female Animal: Averted with Apocado and Malo, but definitely played straight with Alegre who is much taller and more voluptuous than the other pukas.
  • Idiot Hero: Played with with Lider. He isn't a true idiot and has many moments of brilliance, but he is also much too reckless and naive for his own good.
  • I Have Boobs, You Must Obey!: An unintentional example. Rumi manages to accidentally convince Portazo to forgive her after he notices her ample chest.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: It's eventually revealed that the real reason Chacal is Muerte's disgraced daughter is because she was caught eating other jackals at the last family gathering she attended.
  • Impossible Hour Glass Figure: Ali.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold:
    • Malo is easily the grumpiest and rudest of the pukas, but she truly does love her sister and care for her friends.
    • Ali is vain and often misguided in her attempts at heroism, but she is indeed quite heroic when she tries.
  • Kangaroo Court: The Council of Pukas. They try to exile Lider and the others, only stopping short when it is pointed out to them that exiling a bunch of young pukas would result in the rest of the town turning against the Council.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: Bimmy Law's final words are "Mary Anne! I'm so...", and then Chacal crunches him with her teeth.
  • Mole Men: Or in the case of Rumi, a mole girl.
  • Ms. Fanservice:
  • Nice Guy: Lider is a very nice and jovial guy, though he has a habit of being Innocently Insensitive.
  • Only Sane Man: Apocado and Artifice take turns being this.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: The dragon Quetz breaths fire and has a huge hoard of treasure that he is possessive of like many traditional Western dragons, but in lieu of horns he has two little antenna-like protrusions and is much more reasonable than your average dragon. His friend Shorty is much smaller and has a big mane of hair on his head.
  • The Pollyanna: Alegre is very jolly and optimistic, quite the contrast to her sister Malo.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Mayor Ku is a kindly woman who happily lets the pukas into her city and gives them supplies.
  • Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: Bimmy Law makes a deal with Chacal; they'll help Chacal break into Belmontville and eat a villager, and in exchange, Chacal will help them become the town's crime boss. Take a guess which villager Chacal picks before going to wreck the whole town.
  • Shrinking Violet: Apocado is shy and meek, though has steadily gotten more confident.
  • Weight Woe: One reason Apocado is so shy is because of her rotundness. Ironically, other characters tend to view her as a Big Beautiful Woman.
