- In the background of episode 5 of Unlimited Psychic Squad, there are two people who look almost exactly like The Nostalgia Critic and The Angry Video Game Nerd that appeared after Andy stops Yugiri's illusion. Lupin III, dressed as a cop, is also seen right in front of them. Look for yourself.
Music
- The song Mind Brand by Vocaloid producer MARETU sampled the line "Welcome to the Mind Fuck" from Nostalgia Critic's Tom and Jerry: The Movie review.
- In The Irate Gamer web show, the titular Irate Gamer makes a Nostalgia Critic reference in his collaborative review with AVGN of the NES video game based on the 1990 Dick Tracy movie. Yes, it was about NC's infamous review of The Wall by Pink Floyd.
- In the "Bubble Bass Reviews" episode of The Patrick Star Show, the Nostalgia Critic is parodied by the character Bubble Bass, who wears the same uniform (a cap, a suit, and a tie) as the Critic and negatively reviews shows online like he does.
- It also references cat girls and weeaboo culture for good measure, with Bubble Bass wearing a cat girl costume at one point in the episode.
- It even serves as a parody of Angry Internet Reviewers in general. It specifically references Cartoon Hangover's 107 Facts web show, RebelTaxi, and The Mysterious Mr. Enter (who reviews the parody here).
- Bubble Bass having no editing skills whatsoever, to the point of using screencaps or pointing his camera at his monitor to show review footage, is reminiscent of the early days of DarksydePhil/DSPGaming.
- The Critic responds to it in typical humorous fashion.
