Recap / The Real Ghostbusters S 6 E 6 Spacebusters

Go To

The guys start searching, and find several empty spacesuits, including Winston's. They presume he was made to disappear as well, but he's okay. Peter also finds a recording saying that the entity that's been making people disappear is at least a Class 7. Peter wonders if Winston is an impostor, but confirms he's the real Winston when he asks him where his bunk is and he (Winston) knows. Then, the five of them start searching, where they determine that the entity is a ghost, and it's absorbing people's "life force" to power itself, and that the victims will die if not freed before their life forces are fully absorbed.

The Ghostbusters and Slimer enter a lab to find the place a total wreck. Slimer sees a mouse and adopts it. The ghost shows up and attacks, so Peter shoots back. Winston tries to warn him that making a hole in the wall would be dangerous as they're in an outer compartment, but he's already made one. Slimer almost gets sucked through the hole, but they pull him back and seal it up. Unfortunately, when the guys split up and search some more, Ray, then Egon, get absorbed.

Peter, Winston, and Slimer go to the control room, which is locked. Then, they discover that the ghost is trying to use the rockets to slow the station down, sending it out of orbit, and escape before it crashes, so that it can feed off everyone's life force on Earth. Slimer goes into the control room and lets the other two in, then Peter and Winston get into a fight with the ghost. The mouse flies into a computer panel, Slimer flies in after it, and accidentally stops the thrusters by short-circuiting the computer. Peter and Winston shoot at the ghost, freeing the victims, then Slimer traps the ghost. Back at the firehouse, Slimer (whose accident has somehow made him glow) is given sunglasses.
