Recap / Moshi Monsters Moptop Mischief

Go To

Moptop Mischief is the twenty-sixth mission in Moshi Monsters and the sixth mission of Season Three.

     Part One Recap
It begins at the Volcano with the Super Moshi promising to protect Monstro City but Elder Furi telling them that there is no danger and he actually got them a V.I.P. backstage pass to a concert at Trembly Stadium. The monster thanks Elder Furi and leaves.

At the stadium, click on the yellow striped building to collect an E.P.I.C.S, then click to enter the V.I.P. area. Bubba, the intimidating guard, tells you that it's closed. If you tell him you have a V.I.P. pass, he will tell you that you're still not allowed in because Zack is having a tantrum. If you ask why, he won't answer and just tells you to move along. Talk to the stall keepers. The one with the peace sign says that she needs music to set up her stall and needs an instrument with a keyboard, a blue horn and a pink jingle bell. Find and click on the instrument, then open your inventory (the blue pouch) and drag it to the stall owner, then click on it to play a tune. Play the three parts in the order they appear on the counter. That summons a monster who acts as a food stall. Now, the shopkeeper is ready to help. If you ask what's wrong with Zack, you will say that he has lost something he really likes and is sulking and not letting anyone in. Talk to the other stall keeper. He needs a musical instrument too: one with two green horns and blue strings. Find it, click it, open your inventory, drag it out, and again, play the parts in the order they appear on the counter. This summons a monster acting like a merchandise stall. He knows what Zack has lost (a bear) and gives you a signed picture of him with it. Just then, someone walks in, talking like a pirate and dressed like a teddy bear. Click him. If you ask if he's Captain Buck, he will deny it. If you ask why he's dressed like a teddy bear, he says that it's because he is a die-hard fan of Zack and knows that Zack has a teddy who he really likes but is embarrassed by. You ask to borrow his costume and he is only willing if you swap it for something else Zack-related, so use the photo (it's in your inventory). He takes it off, revealing that he is Captain Buck, and you put it on. Bubba thinks you're really the bear and lets you in.

     Part Two Recap
Backstage, you comment the place is fancy. Talk to Zack. He wants to call security, but you tell him that you're the teddy bear. However, he says that the teddy bear can't talk, so you take off the costume and admit you're a Super Moshi. Zack is unwilling to go onstage without knowing his teddy is OK, so you promise to look for the bear. Click the gumball machine and the teddy is under there! Click the teddy, open your inventory and drag him onto Zack. However, Zack suddenly seems out of sorts: he's coughing, groaning, stammering, and saying that he doesn't feel good and is going to take a nap in his trash can. Click the lobster guy to ask for help. He shows you a box that Zack ate candy from. Then, he tells you that there is a special kind of sushi that has healing powers in Moshlings. He can make it, but has forgotten the recipe.

Back outside, click the candy stall. It's closed. Talk to the stall owners (there's an E.P.I.C.S. in the merch stall). Ask the merch stall owner when the candy stall closed. He tells you five minutes ago, but that it's foolish because they will lose customers. Now, ask where the candy stall owner went. Apparently, they disappeared but they do have a V.I.P. pass. Ask what they looked like. Apparently, they were short with a lollipop. Ask how to open the stall. He tells you that it seems to be held down by candy cane pegs and to remove them. Click a spade, then open your inventory and drag it onto the pegs. Eventually, it breaks, so take a gumball, open your inventory, drag it onto the monster and have them chew it. Then, use the chewed-up gum to fix the spade. In the candy stall, there is a tunnel and a piece of paper that says: Evil to do list: 1. Make Zack Binspin ill with my candy 2. Hypnotise the monsters at his concert if I become ill, here his the sushi cure, and an arrow pointing to a picture of sushi. Click the tunnel.

It leads to the V.I.P. room. Open your inventory and drag the recipe onto the lobster guy (Benny). Click the arrows to match up the sushi. Then, drag it onto Zack, but he looks different and claims he dislikes sushi and Benny doesn't work for him. If you point out that he looks (and sounds) different, he will claim that he got better. Then, Bubba starts the show but the Super Moshi suspects "Zack" to be an impostor.

Onstage, he turns out to be Sweet Tooth and mesmerizes everyone.

     Part Three Recap
Collect an E.P.I.C.S. from the star door. Then, Click on Zack who's in the couch. Open your inventory and feed him the sushi. It works. After telling Zack what happened, he tells you to pull the plug on the mind control machine. Do it.

Now, copy the arrows to win a dance-off. Then, he he lets you adopt him.

  • Hyperactive Metabolism: The sushi heals Zack in seconds. Justified because it's a magic healing sushi.
  • Idiot Ball: Sweet Tooth seems to be a bit dumb in this mission: doing a ridiculously poor job at acting like Zack, then playing guitar instead of dancing in a dance competition.

  • Mass Hypnosis: Sweet Tooth hypnotizes everyone at the concert.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • Sweet Tooth, who has the candy shtick.

  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Implied. During the scene of the audience getting hypnotized, one of them is a Tabby Nerdicat. On their species bio, they're said to dislike good dancers, yet here's one at a Zack Binspin concert, and Zack is famous for being a good dancer.
  • Nerd Glasses: Zigzagged. Sweet Tooth and one of the shopkeepers wear glasses and they're not particularly nerdy but a Tabby Nerdicat is seen in the background, and they wear glasses.
  • Picky Eater: Sweet Tooth claims to only like sugary food.
  • Pirate: Captain Buck features.
  • Red Is Heroic: The Super Moshi's cape and mask are red.
  • Sick Episode: Does poisoning count as sickness?
  • Superheroes Wear Capes: Your Super Moshi wears his cape.
  • Sweet Polly Oliver: Well, if Sweet Tooth is female, they count by dressing as Zack. Of course, Sweet Tooth might be male, so it's zigzagged.
  • Sweet Tooth: Apparently, Sweet Tooth likes eating candy just as much as working with it.
  • Talk Like a Pirate: Captain Buck gives himself away by saying words like "Aarr" and "be" for "is".
  • Totally Radical: Zack says things like "Yeah, baby!" and "so not cool".
  • Winged Unicorn: A SkyPony can be seen in the background.
