Go To

Hiroto's heroic deeds in stopping Gezerkia from invading Salabria eventually reaches Emperia but unfortunately, Panopticus the Prime Minister wants to dispose of him instead as he fears that Hiroto's rise to fame will further elevate the influence of Sobrinus the Archbishop. To make things even more complicated, not only is Gezerkia paying Solum a "visit" to see what is the town looks like before trying to attack it, Emperia receives demands from King Eash of Phyllis Kingdom who demands the northern neighboring kingdom hand over the North Phyllis Remnants back to Phyllis.

This volume provides examples of:

  • Assassination Attempt:
    • A North Phyllis assassin sneaks into Phyllis's capital and disguises herself as a masseuse to assassinate King Eash of Phyllis. Not only does the assassination fail when Eash retaliates and kills her, the following incident makes the king so angry that he commands his 10,000 strong Phyllis Army to invade Salabria and wipe out the rebels for good.
    • According to Eash himself, he had survived at least 10 assassination attempt from North Phyllis remnants the moment he became the king of the unified Phyllis Kingdom, which raises his paranoia so much that he tries to dispatch his troops to hunt down the remnants and even requests Hybride arrest the remnants and bring them back to Hybirde. The problem is, though, that most of the soldiers he dispatches fail their mission and and Hybride has been testing his patience by ignoring his request. For the fifth time. The current, or rather eleventh, assassination attempt is the straw that breaks the camel's back as Eash is done with Hybride's excuse and orders an invasion attempt into Salabria.
    • Galsh nearly gets assassinated by one of the Phyllian Knights who sees him escape to the Terminus River after they assassinate one of Gezerkia's subordinates. Luckily, he survives said assassination, albeit with minor injuries.
    • Delegelis once proposes that Panopticus assassinate Hiroto when he views that the boy will a major threat to his lord. However, Panopticus rebuffs this for two reasons: Initially, he wanted to keep him alive use him as a chess piece until he is no longer useful, so long the vampires situation is yet to be "solved". Then, the Phyllis's invasion attempt onto Salabria happens and Hiroto's heroic deeds in repelling Phyllis Army makes Panopticus warns Delegelis that killing the boy may ends up benefits Eash instead.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: 4 South Salabria castle lords (Especially Marcel Lord and Zoch the Glinka Lord) despise Hiroto and his policies (such as his implementation of quota for Other Species in regards of education) so much that they wish the young governor to be removed so they can ask Excelis—their last "hope" since they "voted" her as the Vice Governor but Alvy debunks that by saying Hiroto's own decision to pick her as his successor—to implement a uniformed development decree. However, even after Hiroto does steps down from his governor position under Emperia's decree (albeit forcefully) like the castle lords wanted, they ends up getting dismayed when Excelis announces that she will continue Hiroto's policies anyhow; moreover, the news about Phyllis Army's invasion attempt onto Salabria make all 4 South Salabria castle lords wish that they can take back what they felt about Hiroto.
  • Big Bad: Two, actually. Panopticus, the Prime Minister of Hybride, is one of two main antagonists of this volume's first half, whereas Phyllis Kingdom is the other from the second half.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Hiroto and the Zeldis-Gezerkia Alliance arrive just in time to Terminus River and met up with Salabria Army.
  • Butt-Monkey: Kestel, an courier of Emperia who replaces Quintilis as Primaria's new preliminary officer in Salabria. Everything he does or says ends up getting ridiculed by most of Hiroto's allies, especially the elves whose scorn towards him so much that they even refuses to answer Emperia. It doesn't help when he continues his jerkish attitude towards Hiroto and especially the vampires by [[Small Name, Big Ego constantly reminding his allis about his royal , which only contributing his woes until the end of the book. Even worse, Emperia learns what he did at Salabria via Elven Elder Association's letter from both Secondaria and Primaria and he get punished for it.
  • Cassandra Truth: Sobrinus the Archbishop gives 2 warnings to King Moldias I: Not only he warns that Panopticus's "investigation" onto Hiroto's "violation" the royal decree may have detrimental effect on the human-vampire relationship, he also warns that ignoring Eash's requests about arresting North Phyllis remnants too many times will prompt Phyllis to invade Hybride as retaliation, given reports about the king's impatience. Moldias brushes off his archbishop's advice mostly out of pride, only to regret that decision latter when Phyllian ambassador relays his king's ultimatum with a threat of invading Salabria.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The vampires army led by Curele and Gezerkia easily crush Phyllis Army with ease even with the latter's superior numbers.
  • The Cavalry: Hiroto and the vampires alliance (both Zeldis Clan and Gezerkia Clan) arrive at Terminus River to aid Salabria Army's battle against Phyllis Army.
  • David Versus Goliath: Salabria's 2,500 (1,000 more are from the vampire union) troops fight against Phyllis's 10,000 troops at the Terminus River. The result: Salabria wins the fight courtesy to the vampires' aid.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • Four South Salabria Castle Lords have the audacity to assume that, with Hiroto gone, Excelis will implement a uniformed development decree as they wanted,. What makes them all four of them as hypocrites is that Hiroto has just saved Salabria from Gezerkia's invasion attempt just one month ago. They also seem forget that development decree is one of vampires' (especially Gezerkia) berserk button to begin with.
    • They harbored North Phyllis Remnants when the latter's former kingdom is annexed by Eash and merged with South Phyllis as an unified Phyllis Kingdom. However, their support for North Phyllis Remnant's plot to retake their former kingdom wasn't out of compassion or justice, but planning to get some benefits by ingratiating themselves with the North Phyllis remnants if their plot succeeds. Unfortunately for these 4 lords, the latest assassination attempt failed and even worse, Eash orders a massive army to invade Salabria by targeting South Salabria-the very place North Phyllis current resided.
      • Then, they refuse to fund Hiroto's quota for Interspecies of education at Primaria and South Salabria due to their presence is lower than its nothern counterpart. In reality, this is the lords' middle finger to Hiroto for not implement the uniformed development decree as they requested while looking down at the likes of vampires and mummies and skeletons by calling them as "monsters". The sweetest irony about this is that these 4 Soth Salabria Castle Lords ends up calling the same monsters they belittled to repel the invading Phyllis Army.
    • Kestel assumes that impeach and dismiss Hiroto will break the human-vampire relationship as Paonopticus planned, only ends up witnessing the elves involvement in defending Hiroto and the vampires because they really did not take Emperia's terrible decision lightly.
    • Moldias brushes off Eash's request for the fifth time and having Panopticus to write a letter to Phyllis about "North Phyllis remnants will not be arrested because they lived at Hybride's land" shtick will somehow make Eash quits demanding too much. Little does the king realize that the letter ends up rubbing Eash the wrong way as his Phyllis's counterpart seeing this as Hybride's excuse for not arrest the assassins, especially after he just survived his eleventh assassination attempt by a North Phyllian assassin, hence his invasion attempt onto Salabria as retaliation.
  • Dislikes the New Guy: Kestel, an Emperian courier who replaces Quintilis as Salabria's new Preliminary official, is heavily disliked by most of Hiroto's allies especially the vampires (Zeldis and his daughters, specifically Curele) and the elves (Alvy, Excelis, Magnelis and Artelis). The hatred against Kestel extends to even Primaria residents who all loathe his so much that for trying to harm Hiroto—the one who defeated and repelled the invading Phyllis Army—that they throw things at him and boot him out from town.
  • Didn't See That Coming:
    • Gezerkia's vassals and retainers expect that their leader's intrusion into Solum will give them some intel they need to crush Hiroto and avnge their defeat, only to be baffled by hear their leader's orders about not attacking Solum or Hiroto. Her 2 underlings' account about their first experience at Solum further shock them in disbelief.
    • Moldias, who is fed up by Eash's repeated request to arrest North Phyllis Remnants and take them back to Phyllis, hopes that Panopticus's letter to Phyllis about Hybride's defense of North Phyllis Remnants in Hybride will somehow shut him up. Too bad for the king, that ends up inviting trouble instead as Eash is finally done with Hybride's excuse and orders an invasion attempt onto Salabria anyhow.
    • Claiming that complying Eash's demands will "embolden" the Phyllis King as he will likely going to demand more from Hybride in the future, Panopticus writes a letter to Phyllis that North Phyllis remnants will not be arrested since anything they do at Hybride doesn't counted as a crime. Unfortunately for Panopticus, that backfires as Eash view this as Hybride's poor excuse instead and launch an invasion attempt onto Hybride anyways.
    • Kestel assume that with Hiroto being dismissed from his position courtesy to Panopticus's plan will somehow break the human-vampire relationship so the humans can become the top of the pecking order, only to realize that the boy's presence and influence are still strong in Salabria,
    • Abrahim never expect that vampires will participate the war that crushed Phyllis Army, so much so that he requests Eash to execute him as atonement for Phyllis Army's defeat. However, Eash opts to spare him instead as he says that he has seen enough casualties in one day.
      • Technically, Abrahim's scheme does worked at first when the murder of a Red-Winged Vampires (courtesy to the 2 Phyllian Knights who then framed Hybride citizens for said murder by leaving the Orsia immediately) did led to the Red-Winged Vampires' outrage and their rampage for revenge at Orsia did distracted Emperia for a while where Moldias and the Privy Council were so fixated at what happened at Orsia that they were unawar of Phyllis Army. What neither Abrahim nor Phyllis Army expect is Hiroto whose visit onto the Red-Winged Vampires not only dispelled the human-vampire misunderstanding, but invited them to join Salabria's battle to repel the invading Phyllis Army. That changed the entire course of battle drastically when Phyllis Army ends up getting beaten ''badly'' by the vampires, and Gezerkia herself exacts her revenge by executing her late subordinate's murderers.
  • Evil Chancellor: Panopticus and Abrahim, two Prime Ministers from Hybride and Phyllis respectively. Panopticus tries to ruin Hiroto's career via defamation by finding some "evidence" to prove his "violation" the royal decree . Abrahim, on the other hand, orchestrate a pincer attack onto Hybride by manipulating Gezerkia and her clan to keep Emperia occupied from Salabria Army's invasion attempt onto Salabria.
  • Foreshadowing: During one party at Primaria, Hiroto is so concerned about Excelis's worry about her meeting with one of Panopticus's aide that he is wondering if he is going to send his men to send his men assassinate him just to end his political career. Unfortunately for him, this ends up foreshadowing one of his many enemies' (not Panopticus) last resort to get rid of him as the stories progresses.
  • Fish out of Water:
    • Gezerkia and her female subordinates are this when they visit Solum for the first time aftre they witness its vibrant atmosphere due to interspecies' coexistence, especially a scene where human resident offers his blood to a local vampire—something Gezerkia never heard of in her life. Her third meeting with Hiroto and hearing his words further adds her pique her interest towards Hiroto and Solum, so much so that she orders her own men to not harm Solum or Hiroto as she declares that the town is an important town they cannot lose.
    • Quintilis also experiences this during his tour at Solum by not only visiting the town, but also its outskirts such as the mummy caverns and especially Zeldis Clan's tent where he experienced heartwarming moments with the locals over there. This causes Quintilis to believe that the Ibrid System must be preserved and his reaction towards Hiroto's dismissal from his governor position—courtesy to Panopticu who twisted his report— even more heartbreaking as he laments that the king has sided with a power hungry Prime Minister who prioritizes more about his Centralization Faction than Hybride or even the king.
  • Heel Realization:
    • Gezerkia's first experience in Solum amazes her so much that she now understands why Zeldis was mad at her from the last book, especially what she did to Orsia's castles—specifically Az—1 month ago.
    • Moldias have this moment where, after hearing news about Hiroto and the vampires' victory over even the massive Phyllis Arm, he realizes how wrong he was for dismissing the hero who saved his kingdom and even plan to reward the Diferente. To the point even dismissing Panopticus's defense of his action by asking him if he is willing to antagonize heroes.
  • Heroic BSoD:
    • Hiroto is so shocked by Krestel's announcement about his dismissal that he is frozen for a while before collapses. Later subverted that is actually an act to keep everyone together while thinking a plan for Excelis, though he himslf
    • Excelis has this reaction when she sees Zeldis forcing his daughters to leave Primaria and blames herself for it, implying that her "promotion" has screwed not only Hiroto's career, but rendering his efforts in reconciliating between humans and vampires useless.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Moldias and other Privy Council members (barring Sobrinus) go along with Panopticus to dismiss Hiroto from his governor position after Panopticus lists all of the young boy's "crime"—something Sobrinus warns that it will going to destroy not just th human-vampire relationship, but also Hybride as a whole. Quintilis lampshades this as his lamentation about king's mistakes that will have tremendous repercussion to Hybride, with Phyllis's invasion attempt onto Salabria is
  • Hypocrite: Oh, there are plenty.
    • Kestel has the audacity to antagonize Hiroto and the vampires further while he himself doesn't even know how to solve Salabria's latest crisis. Soichiro mocks him for his hypocrisy. The very mere fact that his apathy attitude
    • Four South Salabria castle lords desperately seek Hiroto (via Excelis) for help in order to repel the invasive Phyllis Army despite they themselves antagonize the boy so much for implement the uniformed development decree that they wish him gone. Excelis chews them epically all for it. All four of them were against Hiroto's implementation of quota for Other Species (Vampires, Mummy and Skeletons) regarding to their education at Primaria's schools due to them viewing other species (especially vampires) as "monsters". The sweetest irony of all of this is that all four ends up depend the said "monsters. fend off the invading Phyllis Army
    • Panopticus is not immune to this. For all his accusation against Hiroto for deeming diplomacy negotiation as a "violation" against royal decree from the last book, as well as claiming Curele as Hiroto's "military force" for just defeat Gezerkia and th Red-Winged Vampire, he almost screws Hybride for not only trying to ruin the only person who can reason with the vampires, but sending a letter to an already angry Eash about Hybride's defense of North Phyllis Remnants end up endangering Salabria when the king finally had enough of Hybride's excuse
    • Delegelis and Inferia have shades of these too: Delegelis tris to ruin Hiroto's career despite he himself having a phobia about the vampires, most specifically, he doesn't wanted to be killed by it. Inferia, on the other hand, willing to lie to the Red-Winged Vampire and exploit. Both just endangering Salabria (and Hybride by extension) in danger by.
    • Phyllis soldiers and generals have the audacity to call the vampires "monsters" for slaughtering their comrades during the Battle of Terminus while 2 Phyllian assassins that snuck into Orsia were responsible for the Phyllis Army's worst defeat by angering Gezerkia's union for killing one of the Red-Winged Vampires. Gezerkia even calls out the assassins for their hypocrisy by calling them as the real mosters before
  • La RĂ©sistance: North Phyllis remnants see themselves as this as they want to liberate their former kingdom from Eash's rule via assassination
attempt onto the king himself.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: The 2 Phyllian knights who assassinated one Red-Winged Vampire get shot with at least 13 arrows from Gezerkia's subordinates at th end of the Battle of Terminus, just like what they did to the aforementioned Red-Winged Vampire with 10 arrows.
  • Malicious Slander: Hiroto is subjected to this for "violating" Emperia's royal decree from the last book and he is not only forced to step down from his governor position, but also getting banned from holding any important position within a year, courtesy to Panopticus and his schemes. Later subverted as he eventually regain his governor position in the following aftermath of Battle of Terminus River.
  • My God, You Are Serious!:
    • Nearly all of Hiroto's allies get this reaction when Hiroto says that he wants to meet Gezerkia at Solum's Spirit Church when she visit the town for the first time.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • Excelis has this reaction when Delegelis mentions Hiroto's soliloquy with Gezerkia during their confrontation, which gives her a bad feeling about what will happens next. Unfortunately for her, she is vindicated when Kestel announces Hiroto's dismissal from his governor position and seeing Zeldis forcing his daughters to leave Primaria as the result of said announcement make her blaming herself for th situation.
    • Hiroto and his allies are shocked to hear Emperia's decree about his dismissal from his governor position, as well as his ban from getting involved in politics for a year.
    • 4 South Salabria castle lords—Especially Marcel Lord for harboring 3 North Phyllis remnants in his castle—have this reaction when they receive Phyllis's letter about invading Salabria in order to get rid o Emperia for defying Eash's requests.
    • Moldias and all of Privy Council (including Panopticus) get a massive one when Phyllis ambassador relays his king's ultimatum to Hybride about Salabria's would be annexation if Hybride doesn't hand over the North Phyllis Remnants to Phyllis in 4 days.
    • The 2 Phyllis assassins have this reaction when they witness the mighty Phyllis Army's defeat by the time they reach Terminus River's riverbank, and their confrontation with the Red-Winged Vampires seals their fate.
    • Krestel is having this reaction when receives Primaria citizens' backlash against him during the aftermath of Salarbia Army's upset victory over Phyllis Army, so much so that they throw things at him that forces him to leave the town in panic.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero:
    • While far from being heroic even after Gezerkia's first visit in Solum, the Red-Winged Vampires screws Hiroto's career by telling their contract to Inferia who use said info defame Hiroto; even worse, their rampage across Shura by killing innocent civilians as revenge for Gezerkia's fallen subordinates gives Panopticus a perfect excuse to eradicate the vampires, which unfortunately make them as Phyllis's pawn in the pincer attack plot onto Hybride.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain:
    • The Phyllis ambassador's announcement to Emperia about Eash's ultimatum to Moldias and the Privy Council causes the Hybrdian king to realize his worst mistake and follows Sobrinus's suggestion to grant amnesty to use Hiroto.
      • Speaking of Phyllis, by focusing only on Gezerkia's clan instead of Zeldis's one, al the while not aware about Hiroto and his friendship with both vampire clans, Phyllis has technically screw their plot when the massive army has Hiroto go to Gezerkia and help her to find the culprit and even convince her to join the battle against the invaders.
  • Only Sane Man:
    • Of all Privy Council members, Sobrinus the Archbishop is the only member who disapproves Hiroto's dismissal from his governor position due to his importance to the human-vampire relationship; additionally, he also warns that ignoring Eash's repeated request to arrest North Phyllis Remnant too long may prompt Phyllis to invade Hybride—.
    • Surprisingly, Feuillet is the only castle lord who doesn't support the uniformed development decree while hoping for Hiroto's comeback. Rather ironic, given the same lord who supported the uniformed Development Order back in light novel's 4th Volume. Then again, given his experience from the last book where he remarked Hiroto's insight about Gezerkia's invasion even before she even invade Salabria, can you really blame him?
  • Pyrrhic Victory: Panopticus may have succeeded in causing Hiroto's short-term downfall by removing him from the governor position with his scheme, but this ends up causing Elven Elder Associations (both Primaria and Secondaria branches) refuse to comply even Emperia as long Hiroto's position is not restored.
  • Poor Communication Kills:
    • Due to their distrust for the humans even after Gezerkia's first visit onto Solum, the Red-Winged Vampires acting extremely rude towards Inferia and tell her about their contract as the result of Hiroto's soliloquy-a testimony Inferia needs to "proves" Hiroto's "violation" of the Emperia Royal Decree. Technically, the Red-Winged Vampires have just screwed the only person who understand the vampires better than anyone.
      • It only get worse when one of their comrades was murdered by an unknown assailant that leads to the Red-Winged Vampires' outrage, so much so that they condemn Zeldis's friendship with humans and blindly slaughter at least 10 people as revenge. Gezerkia could have seek Hiroto for help but she chooses to find the culprit herself because she doesn't want get a Diferente involved in her clan's affair, which only gives Panopticus a "legit" excuse to wipe them out. What's make their situation even more tragic is that until Hiroto arrives to Orsia and give his aid, the Red-Winged Vampires were pawns to Phyllis's sinister ploy as a pincer attack onto Hybride for keeping Emperia distrscted from Phyllis Army's invasion attempt onto Salabria.
    • While Moldias's annoyance about by Eash's relentless request about the North Phyllis Remnant's arrest in understandable, his stubbornness and pride—especially when he scoffs at Sobrinus's warning about ignoring Eash's request for too long because he refuses to be his Phyllian counterpart's "errand boy"—ends up nearly ruining Hybride as Panopticus's letter about North Phyllis Remnants didn't do any crime at Hybride only rubs Eash the wrong way, especially the king himself barely escaped his 11th assassination attempt from the North Phyllis Remnants. Consequently, this ends up prompting Eash to see the letter as Hybrid's latest excuse to not comply to his demand and launches an invasion attempt onto Salabria instead, and Moldias himself
  • Revenge Before Reason: The Red-Winged Vampires at it again when one of their comrades is killed an unknown assailant. To the point killing innocent people in Orsia 'blindly despite they were unrelated to the the said murder, and the assailants—who are revealed to be 2 Phyllian Knights who snuck into Hybride under Abrahim's orders—were already fled to the south just before the Red-Winged Vampires' rampage begun. Hiroto calls Gezerkia and the Red-Winged Vampires out for their blind revenge but willing help them because they are running out of time.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Zigzaged on King Moldias I. At first, he is so prideful about his kingship that he scoffs at Sobrinus's warning about the consequences of ignoring Eash's request and allowing Panopitcus's "investigation" onto Hiroto . On the other hand, especially in the final act of the book, he pardons Hiroto and
  • This Is Unforgivable!:
    • When Mangelis learns that even Emperia's own Elven Elder Chief was onboard with Panopticus's suggestion to dismiss Hiroto, he vows not to forgive the Prime Minister as he views what he did is both desecration of the law and a bla for trying to destroy the peace in Salabria Hiroto worked so hard to achieve.
    • Zeldis refuses to forgives Panopticus for a) Hiroto's dismissal from his governor position that made his own second daughter as a villain for being a military' force and b) the death of one of Gezerkia's underling that resulted the Red-Winged Vampires' latest rampage at Orsia, even though the guy himself is not even related to said incident.
  • Ungrateful Bastard:
    • Emperia. With the exception of Sobrinus, King Moldias I and Privy Council members go along with Panopticus's suggestion to dismiss Hiroto from his governor seat and banning him from holding any important position for a year due to his "violation" of the royal decree despite the fact that other governor besides Hiroto has ever befriended with the vampires before, let alone fighting one. It is only until Hiroto's victory over Phyllis Army that .
    • 4 South Salabria castle lords complain a lot about Hiroto especially for not implement the uniformed developing decree despite he just saved Salabria from the Red-Winged Vampires just a month ago. Moreover, they also refuse to fund the quota of Other Species The impending march from Phyllis Army's invasion force all four of them to get a reality check real quick.
    • Speaking of the Red-Winged Vampires, all but Gezerkia (and some sane vampires) calling Hiroto a "cheeky person" despite he was the one who prevented their supposed annihilation from Emperia's Imperial Army before the ambassador even arrived to Orsia and Salabria. Not to mention that it was their' last invasion attempt onto Salabria was the reason why Hiroto fighting back in the first place. Worst still, their encounter and interaction with Inferia about Hiroto's conversation with Gezerkia via soliloquy only give her some clues to "prove" Hiroto's crime for real.
    • Even after Hiroto saved Salabria from Phyllis Army, Delegelis still suggests on assassinating the boy as he deems the boy is too dangerous to be alive, given the vampires' victory over Phyllis Army and his connection with the vampires that "proves" his military might. This also make the him—along with Inferia who knew that screwing with a vampires is a terrible idea but fulfilling her mission to slander Hiroto anyhow —a hypocrite whose mission that resulted Hiroto's brief downfall nearly put Salabria in danger in the first place.
  • Twisting the Words: Panopticus twists Quintilis's report about Hiroto by saying that what the boy did from the last book were counted as "crimes" that violated the royal decree, specifically.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom:
    • North Phyllis Remnants (like Galsh) nearly put Hybride in danger for their eleventh failed assassination attempt onto Eash as the king is finally had enough of Hybride's excuse and declare war by sending a massive army to invade Salabria. The only reason why Salabria is not fallen yet is because of Hiroto and the vampires timely arrival as reinforcement.
    • Speaking of whom, all 4 South Salabria castle lords (especially Marcel) decision to take Galsh into his castle while supporting the latter's ploy in retaking the North Phyllis was the main factor of the predicament above.
  • Unwitting Pawn:
    • The Red-Winged Vampires. Twice. First, their interaction with Inferia about their contract courtesy to Hiroto's soliloquy ends up become her "evidence" of Hiroto's "violation" of the royal decree that ruins his carrier. Then, they are so enraged by the death of one of their comrades that they salughtered at last 10 innocent people as revenge, which unfortunately make them as pawns to Phyllis's sinister scheme to keep Emperia occupied from Phyllis Army's invasion onto Salabria
    • For a guy who is responsible for Hiroto's brief downfall via twisting Quintilis's report, Panopticus himself is ironically become this to Phyllis's schemes when the Red-Winged Vampires' rampage at Orsia gives him an excuse to exterminate all of th vampires. It is only when Phyllian ambassador's message about Eash's ultimatum to Emperia forces him to take the sidelines throughout the entire book.
  • War Refugees: North Phyllis Remnants are this when most of them are former nobility and high-ranking officials that seek refuge at Hybride (especially Salabria since it is near to their former kingdom geographically) after Eash executed their king and unified both North and South Phyllis.
