"Boca Raton? Or the official soft drink of Boko Haram."
— Dennis

After discovering that Frank's soft drinks company Wolf Cola has found an unlikely fan base with terrorist organization Boko Haram, Frank, Dennis and Dee attempt to do damage control by making an appearance on a local news channel. Meanwhile, Mac and Charlie try to get Fight Milk recognized as the official drink of the UFC.

This episode provides examples of the following tropes:

  • Accidental Innuendo: Mac starts rambling about how much he loves "dominating other men" while trying to pitch Fight Milk to the UFC representative.
  • As Himself: UFC head Dana White and fighters Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone and Paul Felder.
  • Black Comedy Rape: Dee nonchalantly describes the rape threats made against her online.
  • Call-Back:
    • Frank sings "go for it, go for it" to himself as he enters the bar at the beginning of the episode.
    • A clip of Landslide's stand-up routine is shown during Mac and Charlie's commercial when they're talking about how it's okay for men to be fat if they're funny.
    • Possibly unintentional, but Dennis's rant about how eating dog is theoretically no different to eating chicken — he actually did eat a dog in the previous season.
  • Continuity Nod: Frank reminds Dennis that he made him "executive vice president of worldwide distribution" for Wolf Cola because he wanted "the illusion of power".
  • Crawl: A news ticker is shown at the bottom of the screen during each of the Reynolds clan's appearances on the local news channel, displaying the public's reactions to them on Twitter in real time.
  • Funny Background Event: Mac can be seen checking out on of the towel-clad UFC fighters in the background of the shot as he follows Charlie into the locker room.
  • He-Man Woman Hater: Charlie makes reference to Mac's "weird women issues" after he insults a trio of ring girls and insists that Fight Milk should be marketed to men only.
  • Here We Go Again!: Just as it seems that Wolf Cola has finally gotten over the Boko Haram scandal, they are once again thrown into the 24 hour news cycle when they are linked to Fight Milk, after it comes to light that the new formula is full of human growth hormonenote .
  • Internet Jerk: After appearing in defense of Wolf Cola, the Gang receives threats online. Dee notes that "pretty much everyone wants to rape me." This is Played for Laughs.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Dennis's initial appraisal at what Wolf Cola needed to do to handle the situation (express their sadness and make nonspecific claims of doing everything they can but not actually accepting responsibility, have a woman present but not doing anything, and for the love of humanity don't try to defend Boko Haram itself) turns out to have been more or less on point. As Dennis is generally shown to be decent at manipulating others when he isn't getting emotional, this makes sense.
  • Kick the Dog: In a literal example, the public's perception of Dennis goes downhill after he announces his hatred of dogs on live TV, culminating in him ranting about how he's no more ethically opposed to eating dog than he would be to eating chicken. The gang then concludes that there are only two things it's impossible to come back from in the eyes of the public: pedophilia and disliking dogs.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: During their commercial, Mac and Charlie look directly at the camera while talking about how the viewer is probably fat because they're watching TV or the internet.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: Frank tries to "soften the image" of Boko Haram by saying that they're not as bad as Al-Qaeda or ISIS. This goes about as well as expected.
  • Oh, Crap!: Frank's reaction when it's revealed to him that Wolf Cola isn't being bought in copious amounts by the inhabitants of Boca Raton, as he'd first thought, but by international terrorist organization Boko Haram. Dennis and Dee also have a moment of this when Frank tells them both their names are also tied to the company.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Frank, thinking he made Wolf Cola the official drink of Boca Raton, gloats that "the Jews love the stuff!"
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Fight Milk is useful for UFC fighters, not because it endows them with the fighting prowess of a crow, but because it makes people violently ill and is essentially a laxative, meaning it's useful for losing weight.
  • Ripped from the Headlines: The premise of a terrorist group adopting something as their brand of choice, leading to an awkward association for the company, is based on reports in 2015 showing that ISIS and other militants worldwide overwhelmingly prefer Toyota pickups, especially the international Hilux model.
  • Running Gag:
    • Frank using "Wolf Cola" as a money laundering front has been a running gag since "Sweet Dee Gets Audited".
    • Dennis is shown putting on makeup before his first TV appearance.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Dee and Frank decide they don't want to be seen with Dennis and slip away when he starts ranting on live TV about dogs and how he should be able to eat fried dog.
  • Stylistic Suck: Mac and Charlie make another shoddily edited commercial for Fight Milk.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Inverted. During the rebranded commercial (now for a women's weight loss drink), Mac gives a supiciously specific affirmation that nobody asked for.
Charlie: Let's talk about women's bodies.
    Mac: I like women.
  • Take That!: The episode takes shots at internet trolls and the shallow nature of the 24 hour news cycle.
  • Toilet Humor: Mac and Charlie walk in on Donald Cerrone and Paul Felder suffering from explosive bouts of diarrhea and vomiting after using Fight Milk as a purge so that they can "make weight".
  • The Unapologetic: Dennis tells Frank and Dee that under no circumstances should they apologize for the debacle with Boko Haram.
  • Unwanted Assistance: Dennis actually did a pretty good job of pulling damage control initially, but then Dee and Frank tried to step in and help, causing even worse problems.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: The rest of the gang barely bat an eye at Frank sauntering into the bar with a revolver and a ziploc bag of cocaine.
  • You Are Fat: Yes, you, the person watching the show (according to the Fight Milk commercial).
Charlie: You probably are, because you're watching TV!
Mac: (looking pointedly into the camera) Or internet.note
