Ready? Sego!

  • Bolt of Divine Retribution: In Death 4, this is apparently what you get when you overcharge prices for Mana Potions.
  • Call-Back:
    • In Death 38, Ned takes his blimp that he got for Christmas back in Part 5.
    • Deaths 46, 47, and 48 are all continuations of three Running Gags found in the series, being a player falling into sand-covered ravines, NonStJohn trying to dodge ghast fireballs and saying one-liners, and of course, the TNT warehouse exploding.
  • Driven to Suicide: FeedMe does this in Death 35 in Part 13 after Snake tricks him into putting on a My Little Pony costume with Curse of Binding on it.
  • Everything is Big in Texas: A Running Gag parodying this trope.
    • In Death 26, an Texan outfielder tries to catch a baseball, but is crushed, as it is giant.
    • In Death 33, a player goes skydiving in Rhode Island but dies because his parachute is too small.
    • In Death 41, the outfielder returns building a giant mitt to catch it, but the baseball is even bigger now because they're in Alaska.
  • Forced Transformation: In Death 8, FinnTheWinn turns into a rabbit and is killed by a cat after drinking water from a river downstream from the witch's hut.
  • Implied Death Threat: Parodied. Death 23 shows a man at a birthday party shot down for saying that a friend's cookies "were to die for", something that, according to the video, is NEVER said by someone not plotting murder.
  • Irony: The title of Death 6. The victim falls to their death off of a Totem of Undying farm.
    • The following death has Ned crushed by a large Iron E.
  • Grammar Nazi: Ned, as always, doesn't seem to see the danger in correcting a bank robber's grammar whilst they're armed and in the middle of taking hostages, as seen in Death 16.
  • Pun: In Death 50, when someone lets Jake's rabbits loose and they run all over the group's server, Snake makes a quip saying how he manages to get his cubic "hares" all over everything. While everyone laughs, Jake slays Snake.
  • Running Gag: A beekeeper trying and failing to collect honey, only to be stung to death by bees.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: In-Universe and Parodied. Death 17 shows Brandon listening to a song singing: "This is a copyrighted song that you all know!" before being crushed by a YouTube copyright screen. The following two deaths try to avoid this by pitch shifting the song up and then down, only for the screen to say it's been claimed by Alvin and the Chipmunks and then Zack and the Whales.
  • Shout-Out:
    • In Death 12, MinerMax finds a Super Mushroom while strip mining, making him grow too big for the tunnel he's digging.
    • Death 43 is for SB737 and his own 50 Ways To Die In Minecraft videos.
  • Take That!:
  • Too Dumb to Live: Definitely not Stu. Nope, not this time. Ok we lie.
    • In Death 10, he wears a zombie mob head backwards, thinking it will trick real zombies. Obviously, it doesn't.
    • In Death 14, he assumed that wearing an extra pair of socks would negate fall damage. He does this on Hardcore mode no less, which ends up killing everyone in that world as it gets deleted.
    • In Death 24, he eats a slice of literal lava cake, failing to see the figurative use in the name.
