Ready? Sego!

  • Bait-and-Switch: Death 18 has NonStJohn jump into the water with an open wound and it looks like a shark has caught onto the scent and is going to maul John. Instead, the shark swims by John and eats a tiny fish, and John dies of a Vibrio infection.
  • Berserk Button: Overlapping with Green-Eyed Monster. In Death 32, YouTuber Slo-Jo shows off his Silver Play button to his followers, unaware that jayRiott is behind him, absolutely seething because he never got one, leading Slo-Jo to be Killed Offscreen by Jay.
  • Lightning Can Do Anything: Parodied. In Death 11, after seeing lightning bolts turn a creeper, a villager, and a pig into a charged creeper, a witch, and a Pigman respectively, Stu stands on a lightning rod to try to get superpowers like them. No points for guessing what happens next.
  • New Media Are Evil: Parodied. Two back-to-back deaths poke fun at the "video games makes kids violent" mindset. Death 33 shows a Mother playing Devil May Cry 3 before their child (BlondWolfGirl) pulls out a large sword from the game and kills her with it. The following death shows the Father playing Tetris before two of his children (BlondWolfGirl and Lil Timmy) imitate the game by dropping down like Tetris blocks and land on him, causing their heads to disappear.
  • Riches to Rags: Happens to a rich person twice. Death 19 has him read the Apple Product Catalog, only to suddenly end up in poverty. Then, he takes a walk into Las Vegas in Death 37 and ends up in poverty the moment he takes a step into the city. Both times, he dies immediately upon becoming poor.
  • Running Gag:
    • A construction worker dying while attempting to build and use a Ravager Teleporter.
    • Brandon accidentally sending missiles to his house by clicking a button or summoning it via auto-correct. At one point he lampshades it.
"I need to get a flip phone."
  • Shout-Out:
  • Take That!:
    • Deaths 18 and 37 are caused by a man perusing Apple's catalogue, and walking into Las Vegas, both of them instantly turning him into a hobo and killing him.
    • The aforementioned death 29.
    • Death 33 and 34 are parodies of the "video games make kids violent" mindset.
    • Death 45 is caused when Norman watches a Phillip DeFranco video, then clicking onto his homepage only to be bombarded by Phillip DeFranco vids flooding his recommended.
    • Death 49 is a jab at American Healthcare bills: a person having a heart attack blows up an incoming ambulance to avoid become homeless.
  • Take That, Audience!: The trailer is directed at impatient fans believing the channel is dead after a few months without posting. When Jay announces the next video, BlondWolfGirl, Ned, and Stu are all in surprise because they believed that Jay was either retired, kidnapped, or dead because he didn't upload for three months.
  • Tempting Fate: Subverted in Death 31. After stopping his flying machine from hitting a cliff, Redstone Ned states that he's "glad flying machines don't explode on collision". Nothing happens. He then gets angry and says it again. Nothing happens again. Annoyed that he didn't die, Ned turns around and wonders where's the other actor. It turns out that his scene called for a creeper to come in and blow Ned up, which didn't happen because the creeper actor forgot to call in sick.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Not a big surprise, but Stu as usual. But this time, he seems to have rubbed off on some people.
    • For Stu's deaths:
      • Death 11 is him trying to get powers from lighting after seeing several mobs transform when struck.
      • Death 15 has him try to exploit a bug that was already patched.note
      • Death 22 has him play Train with a chicken while standing on actual train tracks.
    • For the other ones:
      • Death 6 has a miner play bumper cars with minecarts filled with TNT. No points for guessing what happens next.
      • Death 18 has NonStJon stand in salt water with an open wound. And it's not the shark passing by that kills him, but instead, he's killed by the Vibrio infection he gets.
      • Death 36 has BlondWolfGirl try to catch the "snowflakes" in a Basalt Delta.
      • Death 44 has a trio of astronauts trying to ride a lever-action shotgunnote  to the moon. All three die of extreme g-forces.
      • Death 50 has the Fisherman blow up an ambulance rushing to his aid in an attempt to avoid homelessness, letting him immediately die on the streets.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Parodied in Death 35, where the Gingerbread Man survives being killed by a polar bear by point-blank gunning down the poor creature… only to get crushed by a Youtube Guidelines strike for using firearms on an endangered species.
