Ueno: [referring to her purified urine] You dumb sonofa... of COURSE I want you to drink this!
(beat) (romance intensifies)
Tanaka: But why?

Ueno is a genius student with red twin tails, who creates various schemes and ploys to get the attention she wants from Tanaka, who she has a huge crush on, but one she does not dare to admit. Too bad for her, saying he does not really pick up on her crush is an understatement. Due to the sheer insanity and wackiness of these schemes and characters, Hilarity Ensues.

A manga series written and illustrated by Tugeneko, first serialized in Hakusensha's Young Animal on February 27, 2015. An anime adapation consisting of 12 episodes began airing on January 6, 2019. The English translation given with the Japanese version is "How clumsy you are, miss Ueno".

Examples:

  • Accidental Pervert: After quantum waves are trying to suck Ueno out of the room, Tanaka resorts to grabbing her in a way that puts Ueno in a suggestive pose. His sister sees this, and swiftly skedaddles away. And of course, Tanaka has no clue in regards to how it looked like.
  • Ass Shove: This is Ueno's fate with a small, suspiciously shaped invention of hers, when she slips and falls down, causing her to painfully land her butt on the object. She tries to hide her accident from the unknowing Tanaka (in a squeaky voice), before Yamashita looks up Ueno's skirt and determines it only got stuck in her panties, ultimately subverting the trope.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: During the skit where Ueno plans on putting her and Tanaka in a scary situation at school during the night, Yamashita turns out to be really bad with scary stuff when she pees herself before it even really begins.
  • Advertisement:
  • Butt-Monkey: Of course, Ueno, since most her plans tend to go awry, with negative consequences for her.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Ueno, making her a little devilish.
  • Expressive Hair: The more Ueno is stressed out, the more her long hair will straighten out, sometimes even reaching the ceiling.
  • Gag Series: Just about everything is Played for Laughs.
  • Mega Twintails: Long orange ones that are sported by Ueno, which start moving whenever she is stressed out.
  • Oblivious to Love: Taken Up to Eleven with Tanaka. He is so dense, black holes are jealous of him. Case in point, after building a machine that censors lewd content in-universe, Ueno flips her own skirt in front of him. He does not even flinch. One might think he has some sort of Ambiguous Disorder.
  • Robot Me: Ueno build one of herself, and Tanaka never sees through it during the episode, even when touching the obviously metal hair, that then folds into the robots head.
  • Teen Genius: All the improbable inventions that Ueno comes up with are signs that she is this trope.
  • The Stoic: Ueno's friend Yamashita, although aware of what is happening, stays completely straight-faced throughout most of the shenanigans. There are times when she loses her cool, usually when Tanaka is involved.
  • Tsundere: Ueno-san herself, of course. Although she is not violent towards Tanaka, she is quick to call him a moron. Her crush on him is obvious for everyone but him.
  • Vulgar Humor: The series has quite a few moments of this. In the very first segment of the anime, Ueno tries to command Tanaka into drinking her own (purified) urine.
  • Zettai Ryouiki: Ueno sometimes wears thigh high stockings in a few episodes, qualifying her for a rare Grade S.
