Fanfic / Kuroinu and the Transformers: War for Selenus

Go To

Kuroinu and the Transformers: War for Selenus is a crossover between Transformers and Kuroinu: Kedakaki Seijo wa Hakudaku ni Somaru by SoundBlastersuperior. It can be accessed here on Fanfiction Dot Net and there on Wattpad.

Three years after the events of The Transformers: Unicron, Gaea, younger sister of Unicron and Primus, enlists the help of select Cybertronians to save the world of Selenus from Unicron's darkness. Among those warriors include heroes like the Lost Light crew, wanderers such as the Scavengers, and former villains like Megatron and Shockwave who seek redemption for their past sins, all of whom are sent to aid the people of Eostia in their hour of need. Bonds will be made, truths will be revealed, and war will be waged as the Cybertronians and their allies fight against the forces of darkness, be they from without or from within.

This fic demonstrates examples of:

  • Action Girl: Plenty of the Kuroinu ladies can kick ass, most notably with Maia, Alicia, and Celestina.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Trypticon, normally one of the villains in Transformers media, is one of the heroic Cybertronians called on by Gaea to help in her fight against Unicron. It's justified by his status as an Alternate Self of the original Titan.
  • All There in the Manual: The author has written a series of character profiles for the Transformers characters detailing their abilities, personalities, and their love interests, among other things.
  • Alternate Self: Unicron, Primus, and Gaea are all multiversal beings, with the Unicron destroyed in the evens of The Transformers: Unicron just one out of Unicron's many alternate incarnations while Primus and Gaea have created multiple alternate versions of themselves to defend the multiverse against Unicron's threat.
  • Ascended Extra: Cosmos, an Autobot who has made very few appearances in Transformers media, is one of the main characters in the story as one of the Cybertronians selected by Gaia to aid Selenus.
  • Back from the Dead: Gaea brings Soundwave, Rung, and Tarantulas back to life from the Allspark as members of her Cybertronian Sanctuary Division, with Soundwave as the group's leader since Gaea appoints him as her herald.
  • Big Bad: As always, Unicron is the main villain of the story thanks to his unrelenting desire to kill everything in the multiverse and staggering cosmic power.
  • Big Damn Heroes:
    • Just as the Insecticons are about to give Rad's defenders the battle of their life, Sixshot shows up in time to bring the fight to the bug-bots.
    • Soundwave and Ravage arrive in time to stop a group of imps from raping Madelyn the nun in the church where she hid a group of kids from the fighting in Rad.
  • Big Good: Gaea serves as the main benefactor of the heroes as she helps them protect Selenus from the forces of Unicron.
  • Blood Knight: Even after turning over a new leaf, Sixshot still has a hankering for combat against worthy opponents.
  • Break the Haughty: Gaea tells Soundwave that she and Primus shrunk her universe's Cybertronians down to the size of humans as punishment for their hubris.
  • Brought Down to Badass: The Transformers transported to the Kuroinu universe are downsized to only be a bit taller than humans, but as their performance at the battle for Rad demonstrates, it has dulled none of their combat skills.
  • Children Are Innocent: Gaea asks Soundwave to teach the baby monsters how to be good people since they haven't been corrupted into depravity like the adult members of their species have. Although Soundwave is initially hesitant at the prospect, he ultimately accepts.
  • The City: New Cybertron (aka Little Cybertron) serves as the new hometown of all Cybertronians who have chosen to live on Earth after the destruction of their homeworld.
  • The Corruption: Unicron's influence over Selenus resulted in the monsters being turned into savage, lustful shadows of what they were meant to be and the perpetuation of a corrupt system that saw races like the dark elves treated like second-class citizens at best.
  • Crossover Relatives: In this continuity, the Lady of Light was the younger sister of the original Mistress of Flame before the former went through her reincarnations.
  • Demographic-Dissonant Crossover: This work crosses the world of Transformers, an usually children-to-teenager friendly franchise that, despite not being shy to touch topics like the bleakness of war or discrimination, is still primarily focused on selling toys, with Kuroinu, an infamous erotic visual novel with themes like incest and rape being amongst the primary focuses.
  • Divided We Fall: As Teletraan Alpha states, the only way that the people of Selenus, be they man, high elf, dark elf, beastkin, halfling, or monster, can defeat Unicron is to cast aside their differences and unite as one, something that throws the Shield Princesses for a loop given that they are currently fighting against the forces of Olga Discordia.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: When Ravage questions Gaea on her decision to enlist Tarantulas' help, she states that one of Tarantulas' good qualities was his love towards his creations and achievements, most particularly Springer, whom Tarantulas saw as a son in all but name.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • Though they may work for Olga Discordia, the Insecticons do not tolerate the debauched antics of the other monsters under Olga's command, with one Insecticon killing an orc that tried to rape a woman by tearing its head off and Hardshell decapitating a larger orc that tried to disobey his orders so they could have their way with Rad's women.
    • As much of a kleptomaniac Chop Shop is, he adamantly refuses to release Protoform X from its stasis pod even after Misery orders him to do so because he knows that it's too powerful and unstable for anyone to control.
  • Fallen Hero: Unicron himself was once a benevolent god like his siblings until the sheer amount of chaos and disorder he saw in the universe made him a bitter, wicked mockery of his former self, turning him into the Omnicidal Maniac we all know and fear.
  • Gondor Calls for Aid: Gaea uses her multiversal powers to call for help in fighting off Unicron's presence on Selenus, kickstarting the story by finding the Cybertronians she needs for her war against Unicron.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Pretty much a given for the Cybertronian heroes due to their vast experience in warfare and fighting, with Soundwave flat-out stating that if Olga continues her current course regarding the war against the Seven Shields Alliance, the Cybertronians will end her.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: Primus and Gaea are this for the multiverse with their desire to preserve life and opposition to Unicron's omnicidal plans.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Unicron is this for the Kuroinu universe and the multiverse given his desire to exterminate all life and subtle corruption of Selenus.
  • Made of Iron: Sixshot managed to survive being crushed under Metroplex thanks to the hardy constitution that his status as a Phase Sixer gave him, a fact he is happy to let others know about with his boasts towards the Insecticons during the battle for Rad.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: Unicron seeks to exterminate all life in the multiverse, and to achieve this, he also commands numerous copies of himself to conquer as much universes as possible.
  • Mythology Gag: Celestine makes use of the iconic universal greeting in a similar manner to the original Transformers animated film when she and the other Shield Princesses contact Teletraan Alpha.
Celestine: Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong?
  • Noble Demon: Hardshell offers Maia a chance to surrender during the battle for Rad and personnally assures her that none of Rad's civilians will be harmed by Olga's monster Mooks.
  • No Place for Me There: Sixshot decides to strike out on his own rather than settle down in New Cybertron since he's too used to fighting to ever contemplate a quiet life.
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Just about no one likes the monsters under Olga's command because of their propensity to rape every woman they come across, with the Insecticons executing any monster who dares to do go off and rape people and Soundwave butchering a group of imps who tried to rape Madelyn.
  • Take Me Instead: Madelyn the nun offers herself up to a group of imps as a sex object in exchange for them sparing the kids she hid in the church, though Soundwave and Ravage's arrival saves Madelyn from having to go through that.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Tarantulas is the most morally ambiguous out of all the Cybertronians sent to Selenus given his past actions and general creep factor, unnerving the Rose Company with his desire to study everything on Selenus, ethics or limits be damned.
  • You Remind Me of X: Gaea cannot help but think about Primus after she meets Rung, who is the Primus of the IDW universe.
