Abraham Lincoln: What an incredible thing to be President of the United States, huh? You get to sign executive orders, help people, fight for America's freedom... the only problem is, everyone hates you.
Donald Trump: Wrong. Everyone loves me. They all say I'm the greatest president they've ever had.
Lincoln: No, they hate you. You just don't get what it means to be president yet. But don't you worry, bud- we can help with that. We can take you in and truly make you the greatest president ever!
Pilot, "Inauguration Day"

It's January 20, 2017. Donald Trump has just been inaugurated as President of the United States. Thing is, he... doesn't exactly get the presidency yet, breaking the very promises he gave in the Oath of Office by building a gigantic wall to keep out the immigrants and saying very mean things about women. Oh, yeah, and he's extremely cheap.

And then he is turned into a Pokemon.

And not only is he turned into a Pokemon, but so are his entire Cabinet, his wife and kids, the entire White House staff, and- oh yeah- EVERY. SINGLE. PRESIDENT. Dead presidents are revived as Pokemon, and they immediately head to the Oval Office, lead by the All-Loving Hero Abraham Lincoln, with one purpose and one purpose only.

That purpose? To reform the new president-turned-Gumshoos.

All of the Pokémon presidents in the series are from the fanmade Feluv region, with the exception of Trump, who is the very real Gumshoos. This was done intentionally to emphasize how much of a "foreigner" Trump was to the Oval Office.

Pokemon Opal and Garnet: Presidential Pokemon contains examples of:

  • Actual Pacifist: Thomas Jefferson is this: he would much prefer not to go to war or fight anyone with physical violence. When he hears about all the wars that happened after his death, his reaction is to gasp in shock and horror and cry, "Oh no! Oh, the poor souls who died in those wars... may they rest in peace..."
  • Adorkable: Lincoln is portrayed this way in the show- he is EXTREMELY eager to meet all the future and past presidents that came after him.
Lincoln (excitedly): HOLY COW-JEMEESUS! George Washington- my hero!
  • All-Loving Hero: Abraham Lincoln is this, as is Thomas Jefferson. They waste absolutely no time at all in calling Trump, Richard Nixon, and Warren G. Harding their friends.
  • Angrish: At some points, Andrew Jackson will use this. This isn't surprising, given his Hair-Trigger Temper personality and his Real Life tendency to not be a man to be messed with- even fighting back against the man who tried to assassinate him.
  • Anti-Hero: Richard Nixon- who is best known for the Watergate scandal- is this. He's known to lie often and be a troll to the other presidents, but he still was president, and has been shown to care deeply about other presidents- particularly his successor.
  • Apologizes a Lot: Jefferson is known to do this, given his Shrinking Violet tendencies.
Jefferson: Oh, no... I am so sorry that I had to do that... I-I had no idea that it would actually make me get looked down upon in history... note
  • Attention Whore: Donald Trump, of course- he glorifies himself in the show as much as he does in Real Life.
  • Badass Adorable: Teddy is transformed into the absolutely adorable, Water/Fairy type gum Pokemon Elaubble, and is pretty much Fun Personified. But there's a reason he survived being shot by a bullet and went on to give a speech for 80 minutes, and by Arceus, if you ever hurt any of the fellow presidents, Taft in particular, he will show you why.
  • Bad Liar: Lincoln- what else would you expect from Honest Abe (who here just so happens to be a telekinetic dolphin)?
  • Befriending the Enemy: Abraham Lincoln is SO MUCH of an All-Loving Hero that in one episode he literally went and tried to befriend ISIS. He failed, because they were so freaked out.
  • Berserk Button: NEVER call Abraham Lincoln "Abe." That's something that Lincoln hated even in Real Life. Fortunately, no one's ever done it yet, and resort to calling him "Abey"- which he is perfectly fine with.
    • Also, if you don't want to die, NEVER insult Taft to Teddy Roosevelt's face. And never insult Teddy to FDR's face.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Jefferson is well-known for being one of the sweetest presidents on the show- an EXTREME Shrinking Violet with a bad case of stage fright and an Actual Pacifist who fears any case of fighting or war. But if you hurt Washington or ANY of the Founding Fathers, he will come for you- and he won't need to resort to fighting to do it.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Teddy Roosevelt, as mentioned above. He may be Fun Personified, but he was a Rough Rider and survived an assassination attempt.
  • Big Bad: ISIS, obviously, who will stop at nothing to kill innocent people, as well as several revived Presidents and, ultimately, Donald Trump.
  • Big Damn Heroes: In the second episode, "Inauguration Day- Part 2," Donald Trump finds himself taken by ISIS, who plan to kill him dead. The moment Andrew Jackson hears about this, he immediately heads over to the headquarters of ISIS and rescues Trump, saying that while he may not be the best president, he is still president, and deserves to live. Trump is extremely grateful.
  • Big "NO!": ISIS has this reaction in almost every episode when their plans are foiled.
Leader of ISIS: NOOOOO!! CURSE YOU, AMERICA!!!!
  • Blatant Lies: Donald Trump is practically this trope's embodiment.
  • Blunt "Yes": Given his nature as The Quiet One, this is one of Calvin Coolidge's most frequent responses.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Oh, sweet Arceus, does Teddy do this.
Teddy Roosevelt (to ISIS): You know, you've got a whole slew of people who are watching you do all this craziness... I'm looking at you, audience, watching this video right now.
  • Breakout Character: William Howard Taft. Oh dear Arceus, Taft.
  • Break the Haughty: The main reason behind EVERY SINGLE DEAD PRESIDENT being turned into Pokemon and revived from the dead is so that they can hopefully do this to Donald Trump.
  • Brutal Honesty: Abraham Lincoln, of course. It's evident by the page quote seen above, in which he bluntly acknowledges to Trump that nobody likes him and that his inauguration crowds were not huge.
  • Burning with Anger: Andrew Jackson does this a LOT. Given his nature, it's not surprising in the least.
  • Butt-Monkey: Poor, poor Millard Fillmore. He is repeatedly made fun of by ISIS, and even some of the presidents, because his parents just had to name him Millard.
