Original Dimension

Before the existence of the Four Dimensions, the Original Dimension was their "original" state prior to its fracturing from the battle between the new godly duo of Ray and Zarc and the Four Duelists.

The Four Duelists

A group of four Duelists from "different times" who battle against the recently transcendent Gods, Ray and Zarc. It led to the fracturing of the Original Dimension, along with the lives of them being sent throughout the Four Dimensions.

    In General
  • Big Good: They're the closet thing for the Original Dimension, and possibly of the entire fic by the whole.
  • Brought Downto Normal: Following the Dimension split, they return as fairly normal beings. They're still incredibly strong duelists, but their En cards don't have the same kind of power separately as they do together, and are rather capable of being defeated by Zarc and Ray's counterparts.
  • Composite Character: They took Ray's role as the Greater-Scope Paragon against a Greater-Scope Villain from the canon anime. Furthermore, since Ray doesn't have the Natural Energy Cards nor the bracelets here, it's safe to say that the Four Duelists are likely in possession of each of them instead.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: They essentially went against two beings who had already become Physical Gods, and manages to prevent them from destroying the rest of humanity, leading to the fracture of the Original Dimension.
  • Hero Antagonist: They were the ones who oppose Ray and Zarc after the two wage war against humanity as gods.
  • Hero of Another Story: It would be a major spoiler when learning of their role to defeat the newly ascended Ray and Zarc in the Original Dimension.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: After the fracturing of the Original Dimension, they lose their memories of their previous life and are currently living in the Four Dimensions.
  • Minor Major Character: Very little is known about them throughout the story, but Ray and Zarc know who the four of them are and have shared it amongst their allies. According to Word of God, the revelation of their identities will mark a turning point.
  • Mythology Gag: A group of Duelists who came from different timelines and band together to stop a powerful villain from destroying the world? Now where have we heard that one before?
  • The Unchosen One: Although very little is known about them, the Four Duelists are implied to be normal humans who came together in the timeline where Ray and Zarc were born and went against them after the two transcend into godhood by using their own Dueling skills and the Natural Energy Cards that were made by Leo Akaba.

    Jack Atlas

Jack Atlas

Archetype: Resonator/Red Dragon Archfiend

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jack_atlas.png
The former king of the Friendship Cup and a member of the Enforcers.

He's revealed to be one of the Four Duelists who have defeated Ray and Zarc long ago, and currently holds the Natural Energy Card, En Winds.

He plays a Resonator/Red Dragon Archfiend Synchro Turbo Deck, which quickly focuses on summoning his various Red Dragon Archfiend Synchro monsters and overwhelming his opponent by destroying their fields. He also included the Dark Highlander to lock-down Synchro Summoning, preventing his opponents from making a comeback, and En Winds by banishing his own Synchro Monsters in the GY to destroy his opponents' Synchro Monsters to inflict damage.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: He's more humble than he was in canon. Justified in this case as he has his Enforcers to help keep his ego in check, and never mind the fact that he lost his memories after the defeat of Ray and Zarc in the Original Dimension which resets him back to his 5Ds Pre-Character Development self.
  • Butt-Monkey: He has his moments, such as his Lethal Chef status, and getting screwed up by Lady Fate.
  • Composite Character: Since he was a Duelist who came from a different time period and band together with other Duelists of the same status to take down a Big Bad, he's this to 5Ds Yusei Fudo.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Most of his monsters and Red Dragon Archfiends are DARK Attribute, but he is one of the good guys.
  • Good Wears White: He wears a white jacket and he's one of the Enforcers.
  • Lethal Chef: Cannot cook to save his life. The idea of him making something for Yusei to eat elicits an Anything but That! reaction from the latter.
  • Only Sane Man: Acts like this when Yusei works himself too much, having to drag him away to get some rest.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: It's noted that whenever Jack calls Yusei "King", it's in a much more affectionate tone than when Kalin or Crow says it.
  • Playing with Fire: Implied to have fire abilities with security guards once having to put out fires that they had no idea where they came from, and confirm in chapter 25.
  • Puppet King: He was this to Roget and the City Council in his backstory until Yusei manages to defeat him.
  • Running Gag: Always likes to bring up Lady Fate to the point that Yusei states that Lady Fate hates him. The author notes lampshade this by stating that no, Lady Fate doesn't hate him; she just likes screwing around with him.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Still loves his instant ramen and coffee.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's really hard to talk more about Jack without revealing that he's originally one of the Four Duelists who went up against Ray and Zarc in the Original Dimension.

    Alexis Rhodes

Alexis Rhodes

Archetype: Cyber Angel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alexisrhodes28arcv29_1_8.png

A Duelist from the Fusion Dimension and a former student of Duel Academia. Chapter 28 reveals she's one of the Four Duelists who went up against Ray and Zarc in the Original Dimension, using En Moon.

  • Adaptational Badass: Went from a frequent victim of The Worf Effect to defeating two beings with godlike power, albeit at the expense of the original dimension being split into four.
    • Zigzagged in her duel with Yuri. She puts up a much better fight than in canon, especially since he was using his real deck and not the deck he used to troll her with. However, once he brings out Greedy Venom, it becomes clear she's outmatched, and the only reason she escapes being carded is that Atticus and Yusho show up to save her.
  • Action Girl: One of the best Duelists in the Fusion Dimension, and her deck is filled with powerful female warriors.
  • Defector from Decadence: She defected from Academia after realizing its true purpose.
  • Dub Name Change: She goes by her English Dub name instead of the original Japanese version, Asuka Tenjoin.
  • Light Is Good: Most of her monsters, specifically her Cyber Angels are Light Attribute, even Vrash was described as a 'Goddess of light' and she is one of the most morally pure characters in the story, wanting to help people, and does not let Academia hurt the ones in her care. She had even run away when she found out the true purpose of Academia and how the Obelisk Force was harming others in Heartland. That's also not getting into the fact that she was one of the Four Duelists who fought against Ray and Zarc in the Original Dimension.
  • The Worf Effect: She was one of the original four Duelists who fought against Ray and Zarc and is the wielder of En Moon, but gets defeated by Yuri, loses her Natural Energy Card, and nearly carded in her debut chapter to show how cunning and dangerous that Ray and Zarc had become since their defeat.
