Mabel Pines- Action Girl: Kicks butt and takes names, with or without weapons.
- All the Other Reindeer: Mabel openly talks to her demon brother who no one but her could hear or see results people avoiding her and being treated as an outcast until she and Dipper moved back to Gravity Falls.
- Badass Normal: Mabel doesn't have supernatural powers and isn't a demon like her brother, but she can kick butt on her own.
- Empowered Badass Normal: While Dipper posses her, her strength, speed and durability are enhanced. However she doesn't experience this as Dipper's the one using her body.

Mark and Anna, Dipper and Mabel's parents.- Depending on the Author: The two's personalities are not very set in stone, and the severity of their distance from their kids varies from fic to fic, ranging from "strained and awkward at times but still seeing each other regularly" to "completely cut out of their lives."
- Love Cannot Overcome: The main theme of their part in Dipper and Mabel's story is "sometimes, love isn't enough." Much as they love both their children, they aren't able to fully come to grips with Dipper's situation, and can't provide him or Mabel with the support they need; it's when they recognize this that they allow the twins to return to Gravity Falls and Stan, who can help where they can't.
- Parents as People: While it's made clear that Mark and Anna do love Dipper and Mabel very much, it's also made clear that they have no idea how to take care of Dipper now, and that they are (somewhat understandably) in over their heads due to Dipper becoming a demon.
Henry Pines (née Corduroy)/The Woodsman

Henry Pines- Abusive Parents: Not Henry himself, but his parents.
- Beware of the Nice Ones: Henry is a kind and sensible man who rarely loses his temper, but push him too much or hurt his family and you will have to answer to the Woodsman. Henry will also angrily chase Dipper around with a broom whenever the latter gives horrifying gifts to the nibilings or if he accidentally made the walls bleed.
- Blessed with Suck: His ability to become the Woodsman comes with the cost that his life span is shortened the more he transforms into him.
- Calling the Old Man Out: Some time after becoming the Woodsman, Henry finally found the courage to not only call out his parents' abusive behavior, but to also cut ties with them once and for all before they could give the same treatment to his own children.
- Empowered Badass Normal: After Dipper gave him a power boast, Henry can turn into The Woodsman whenever his family is in danger.
- Gentle Giant: Most of the time. Just don't threaten his family.
- Happily Married: With Mabel despite the additional troubles of cults, supernatural shenanigans and Dipper's occasional demonic episodes.

- Nice Guy: Henry is a kind and easy-going person. Henry loves Mabel so much that he stays in a relationship with her, even though Dipper scares the living daylights out of him at first.
- Papa Wolf: Henry may be slow to anger, but if you threaten his family, he will show no mercy.
- Shed the Family Name: His cousin Wendy and her immediate family aside, Henry's relationship with most of the Corduroys is mixed at best (and his parents at worst), and he chooses to take Mabel's name when they get married.
- Voluntary Shapeshifting: Henry can transform into a horned tree-like creature called the Woodsman, thanks to Dipper. He only assumes this form to protect his children.
- Your Days Are Numbered: Frequent transformation into the Woodsman burns most of his lifespan.

- Friend to All Living Things
- Magnetic Hero: He helps out several supernatural creatures, earning him many friends and allies. Eventually, he ends up creating a supernatural mafia or sorts, just by being nice.
- Nice Guy: Combine Mabel's social skills with Henry's gentle kindness and you get Hank's unique brand of weaponized kindness.
- Shame If Something Happened: Once his status as "Don Pines" becomes common knowledge, many of his innocuous or genuinely sympathetic comments tend to be interpreted as this, further cementing his reputation, much to his dismay.
Willow Miriam Antares Pines

Willow- Aura Vision: Thanks to Dipper's involvement in her birth, she has the same enhanced demon version that allows her to read someone's feelings based on their aura's colors.

- Beware the Quiet Ones: Willow is known to be the quiet of the triplets, but don't underestimate a girl with demon powers.
- Hollywood Exorcism: Was a victim of a particularly nasty one when she was in high school, leading to her father becoming the Woodsman.
- Unhappy Medium: Being able to constantly see people's emotions without any way of effectively blocking them off makes Willow's childhood rather painful. Dipper eventually teaches her how to shield herself.
